This study aims to identify and explain the management of character education in terms of planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring in improving the quality of education in State Senior High Schools (SMAN). This research was descriptive qualitative. Sources of data in this study were principals, vice principals, and teachers. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Based on data analysis, it was found that character education management is started from planning students’ character education by determining the goals, constructing programs or school activities, and integrating character values. Furthermore, the organization of character education is carried out by dividing the tasks and the person in charge of the activity or program. Next, the implementation of character education is through the integration of character values in all subjects, in the school daily activities, in school programs, as well as building communication and cooperation between schools and parents of students. Lastly, character education is done through supervision consists of observing students’ behavior and scoring mentioned in students’ discipline book.

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Tunas Bangsa Sunter Jakarta Utara. Adapun tujuan  dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh pemahaman mendalam Manajemen Pendidikan Karakter SMP Tunas Bangsa. Data yang dikumpulkan dari responden melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber, teori dan waktu. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data dan display data. Hasil temuan penelitian meliputi: (1) Perencanaan Pendidikan Karakter di Sekolah Tunas Bangsa, yang selaras dengan visi dan misi, dengan berfokus kepada karakter ketaatan dan penuh perhatian, Kepala sekolah dan timnya membuat program sekolah berbasis karakter; (2) Pelaksanaan Program Pendidikan Karakter, semua program sekolah tersebut disosialisasikan melalui staff meeting, pekan informasi pembelajaran dengan orang tua siswa dan seluruh siswa di awal tahuan pembelajaran; 3) Pengawasan pelaksanaan Program Pendidikan Karakter, untuk memastikan semua kegiatan sekolah berjalan sesuai dengan perencanaan, visi, misi yang ada. Kepala sekolah harus memastikan dengan observasi kepada siswa dan guru dengan standard performa. Temuan mengarah pada rekomendasi untuk menerapkan pendidikan karakter dapat membentuk siswa untuk memiliki kepemimpinan, kemandirian, perilaku yang baik, tanggung jawab sendiri, rasa yang baik di masyarakat, kreatif dan inovatif, ini semua termasuk kepala sekolah, guru dan juga orang tua untuk terlibat agar dapat terlaksana dan tujuan tercapai.Kata kunci: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengawasan EDUCATION MANAGEMENT IN FORMING STUDENT CHARACTER OF SMP TUNAS BANGSA SUNTERAbstractThis research was carried out at SMP Tunas Bangsa Sunter, North Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to obtain an in-depth understanding of the Tunas Bangsa Middle School Character Management. Data collected from respondents through interviews, observation and documentation studies.The data were collected through participant observation using interview, observation, document study and recording. The data analysis and interpretation indicates that: 1)Planning of Character Education  in Tunas Bangsa School based on vision and mission, focusing in Attentive and obedience character, the headmaster and team made school programs based on character. 2) Actuating of Character Education, all school programs have to socialized through Staff Meeting, Information Day with parents and of course to all students in the new semester. 3) Controlling of Character Education to improve that all school activities would done according to planning, vision and mission. Headmaster has to ensure by observe teachers, students with standard of performance. The finding lead to the recommendation to apply character education could formed students to have leadership, independence, good behavior, self responsible, good sense in community, creative and innovative, these all includes headmaster, teachers and also parents to contribute their effort to make it happen.Keywords: planning, actuating, controlling

The purpose are (1) to know the school committee to improve the quality of education at SMP Al-Khairaat Kalumpang Ternate; ( 2 ) to know the work achievement of school committee to improve the education quality  at SMP Al-Khairaat Kalumpang Ternate.The approaches used in this research is a qualitative approach.Research result indicates that ( 1 ) a school committee at SMP Al-Khairaat Kalumpang Ternate has formed by 2012 in accordance with the decree no. 325 / B-III / SMP.BP. Alkh / 11 / 2010 and has the school committee structure, namely; chief; secretaries, and the treasury; ( 2 ) the school committee meeting periodically, that is four times in a year. Involved in the talks is the principal, the teacher, student parents, Al-Khairaat foundation and the school committee. Things had been spoken in the meeting are; the school fee, standards graduation, the school programs plan ; ( 3 ) the school committee does not make a written report yet orally. RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The problem of introducing expert examination of education management is relevant and pressing for Ukraine in the context of assessment of education quality at all levels. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the effectiveness of the model of training experts in the field of education on the basis of educology at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: When processing the obtained empirical data, statistical methods were used to compare the indicators of the Master’s student survey before and after the course of educology according to Pearson’s criteria, Fisher’s test, and the Mann-Whitney-U test Venn diagram. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: Training experts in the field of education is based on the model: 1) mastering the basics of educology and its components; 2) mastering the methodology of the examination and the ethical standards of its implementation; and 3) mastering the specifics of the educational segment which is subject to expert examination. RESEARCH RESULTS: The study confirms the efficiency of the developed model of experts’ training in the field of education. Educology provides the system, purposefulness and effectiveness for such training. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The results of the study provide an opportunity to see the feasibility of the first level of the model, which involves mastering the basics of educology; the second level, which is aimed at mastering the components of the educational program, which reveal the methodology and specifics of expert activities; and the third level, which makes it possible to differentiate the suggested directions of such training, namely: measuring and monitoring the quality of education, education management, educational economics, and educational law

<p><em>Geguritan as one of the traditional literature is widely used by the authors to pour the brilliant idea of character education through the medium of art language that is strung together based on the diction that is very ungrateful. Through geguritan, a person has indirectly got a character education that is able to build a good mindset, words and deeds. The development of technology and communication in this era of globalization has gradually eroded the interest of teenagers to know and learn traditional literature. Learners are more interested in the things that smelled of technology, especially social media and override traditional literature, one of which is literature geguritan. Geguritan Suddhamala as one of literature geguritan loaded with character values that can be used as guidance in improving the quality of education quality. The relevance of character education in Suddhamala geguritan is divided into three namely divinity / humanity, humanity, and environment. The entire field of character has relevance to efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia.</em></p>

The goals of this study are to; 1) analyze Madrasah principals' innovative leadership strategies in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Abrar Makassar City and 2) assess the efficacy of Madrasah principals' visionary leadership in developing the quality of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Abrar Makassar City. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Sources of research data are the principal, the head of the foundation and the Ibtidaiyah Al-Abrar teachers in Makassar City. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The approach taken is phenomenological. The data analysis of this study used qualitative methods, with data analysis carried out by steps, data reduction, data display, and 3) data verification. The data validity test is past due to source triangulation to test the validity of data. The results showed that the visionary leadership strategy of the headmaster of madrasah in developing the quality of education of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Abrar in Makassar City, includes a) Looking to the future seen in the vision initiated, b) Able to formulate a clear vision, seen in the vision elaboration that refers to the vision madrasah, c) Able to change the vision into action, seen in the formulation of the mission and the exemplary attitude of the principal of the madrasah performance.

Improving the quality of character education needs to be done in all aspects including through cultural contexts. This study aims to describe the implementation of character education based on local wisdom through Orek-Orek dance. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative research. His research sites are Paron Elementary School and Kedungputri 1 Elementary School, Ngawi District. Data collection techniques include study documentation, observation and interviews. The purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of Islamic education which includes: input, process, output. Specifically on the object of study in this study, namely in SD/MI Unggulan Ash-Shiddiqiyyah-3 di Purworejo. This type of research is qualitative. Using an educational sociology approach. Data collection was obtained directly from informants through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display, data verification, and affirmation of conclusions. An important finding in this study is that SD/MI Unggulan Ash-Shiddiqiyyah-3 di Purworejo cannot be said to be a quality school. Because, the three components of education quality have not been fulfilled, namely: overall input, process, and output.

The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts to improve the professionalism of PAUD teachers in improving the quality of Harapan Bangsa City PAUD education. Qualitative descriptive research method, while data collection techniques are based on observation, interviews, documentation. The data analysis techniques are based on data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. PAUD institutional constraints include educational qualifications, experience, infrastructure, managers, welfare. Efforts to improve the professionalism of PAUD teachers by providing scholarships, workshops, seminars, adequate facilities, and infrastructure, as well as maintaining smooth communication with both foundations, teachers, and parents.Keywords: Professionalism, PAUD Teachers, Quality of Education Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya meningkatkan profesionalitas guru PAUD dalam meningkatan mutu pendidikan PAUD Harapan Bangsa Kota Padang. Metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, sementara teknik pengumpulan data berdasarkan dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data berdasarkan pada reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Kendala lembaga PAUD di antaranya kualifikasi pendidikan, pengalaman, sarana prasarana, pengelola, kesejahteraan. Upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru PAUD dengan memberikan beasiswa, workshop, seminar, fasilitas sarana prasarana yang memadai, serta tetap menjaga lancarnya komunikasi baik dengan pihak yayasan, guru, dan orang tua. Kata Kunci: Profesionalitas, Guru PAUD, Mutu Pendidikan.

Quality of education is one of the central isue of national education among other isues such asequlization, relevance and educational management eficiencies. SMA Argopuro Panti is stillfaced with several obstacles that affect the quality of education, which regard to the backgroundof students and their families, support of educational resources, teachers qualification, and lowcommunity participation. This research aims to obtain information about the policies underlyingthe school-based education quality improvement program, and how the school stakeholdersunderstanding of the policy and to analyze information about alternative strategies for improvingthe quality of schoole-based education, regarding to the education program in SMA ArgopuroPanti Jember. Informants in this study are founders of foundations, school committee members,and teacher, research subjects are relatively few and selected according to the research objects. Inthis study, collection uses snowball sampling techniques. Data analysis method uses SWOTanalysis method. Based on the results of the analysis it is known that SMA Argopuro Panti is in avery favorable situation, it should able to compete because according to data analysis this schoolalready has the strengthand opportuintyto improve its quality and dare to compete with otherschools. The strategy of improving the quality of character education through the so-called tazkiyatun nafsi method is an effort to improve the quality of character education in Indonesia by inculcating the Islamic values from an early age to the children or the generation of the nation. Data collection is done through such methods as observation, interview, and documentation. The informants are the head of Madrasah, akidah akhlaq teacher, Quránic studies teacher, guidance and counseling teacher, and some students of MI Sabilillah Lamongan. While to analyze the data is by using descriptive qualitative analysis techniques that will explain the phenomenon that occurred in a school. The result shows that the improvement of character education quality applied by using the tazkiyatun nafsi method is to familiarize the students to perform either fardhu or sunnah prayers for example dzuhur prayer, dhuha prayer in addition to familiarizing them to read the Qur'an and familiarizing them on the importance of dzikir, istighfar, and reciting the prayer on the Prophet. In every implementation of education, there are always supporting and inhibiting factors. The factors that support the implementation of quality improvement of character education through the tazkiyatun nafsi method are among others teachers are never tired to educate the students, the principal who always provides good policies on the implementation of KBM, including foundation circles, community organizations, and the last is the enthusiastic students of MI Sabilillah Lamongan, while the most dominant inhibiting factor is lack of available places.
