<p><em>With the frequent development of the international communication and cooperation, the interpreter’s role is much more important than ever before in the modern society. In order to meet this demand, more and more China’s universities have set up undergraduate translation major, and (or) set up a professional Master of Translation and Interpretation (MTI). Under this circumstance, the universities become the main force of interpreter training. This paper mainly studies the English interpreting teaching from the perspective of interpreter qualities focusing on eight qualities: language competence, knowledge storage, interpreting quotients (communication skills, thinking consciousness, reflexes and concentration, learning ability, psychological quality, service consciousness). Through the study on the interpreters’ qualities, this paper aims at providing the references for interpreting teaching in universities both for interpreting teachers and trainers.</em></p>

Recognition of Kazakh language as the state language of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, adoption of ‘State programme of functioning and development of languages for 2011–2020’, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan ‘On languages of the Republic of Kazakhstan’, ‘The State programme on education and science development for 2016–2020’ allowed our native language to develop and prosper. Nowadays, special attention is paid to the problem of teaching the Kazakh language. In today's organised pedagogical environment, it is not fully examined the need for the development of communication skills of elementary school students and scientifically-based and practical communication to solve this problem via audio and graphic tools. Therefore, this article focuses on the need to teach elementary school students to work with audio and graphic materials and technology issues on the use of practical materials. Provided that the theoretical foundations for the development of communication skills of elementary school students through audio-visual aids hold true, the structural-substantial model will allow the development of each student’s individual abilities and creativity. Taking into account the foregoing, we have set up a positive outline of the effectiveness of the work with audio equipment through the organisation of practical work, practice-assemblage, research, diagnostics, practical work in elementary school teachers through specially organised thematic seminars

The article is devoted to the relevant problem of speech development, specifically its dialogic component. The development of coherent dialogic speech as a means of forming communication skills plays an important role in the process of preschoolers’ speech development. As a form of speech interaction with other people, dialogue requires special social and speech skills from the child, the development of which occurs gradually. Dialogue for a child is the first school of mastering speech, the school of communication; it is, in fact, the base of personal development. Through dialogue children learn the grammar of their native language, its vocabulary, phonetics, and draw useful information. The topic is relevant, since the development of dialogue in preschool childhood affects the formation of speech and communicative abilities, which are one of the aspects of individual success in modern society. The article focuses on the cooperative type of activities that are particularly important for the development of dialogic speech, primarily in which children jointly create a subject-game environment, come up with a theme and develop a plot, role-play dialogues and in the course of them enter into a variety of real relationships. The program that includes a set of didactic games for older preschoolers and is aimed at improving the level of dialogic communication skills is proposed. An experiment was conducted and described in which a set of didactic games was tested. The experiment showed growth in the skills of dialogic speech.

These notes were inspired by a recent article by Boris Norman and Natalja Rajnochová on the role of patronymics in the Russian naming tradition and culture (Voprosy onomastiki, 2020, Vol. 17, Iss. 2). Without disputing its provisions in any way, the author attempts to take a closer look into the present tendency to omit patronymics or even abhor their use. Recognizing this as a growing trend in the Russian culture, the author reflects upon its causes, foremost of which is the general aversion for all the formal manifestations of the Soviet system. Since the use of patronymics (in the official formula) became mandatory exactly after 1917, it is commonly perceived as a Soviet relic. The second reason is the adoption of Western naming practices not requiring the use of a father’s name — due to Russia’s greater involvement in the international communication, extensive overseas travelling, and fluency in foreign languages, primarily English. The issue of the required use of patronymic in official documents is particularly acute when children from mixed families obtain Russian citizenship. Other factors for doing away with patronymics include Russian media language, as in most news programs and talk shows it is carefully avoided, and the increase in the number of single-parent families (no father) where the need to register a patronymic entails complex formal and ethical problems. Yet, however pertinent these problems are in the modern society, the author considers them relatively marginal and argues the relevance of patronymics for modern Russian culture and the naming practice. The author supports this view by giving evidence from Internet forums, as well as the author’s personal experience.

In order to intensify quality efforts, strengthen the responsibility for quality safety, raise the overall level of quality and comprehensively and systematically understand the effectiveness of quality improvement actions of government and the gap between quality perception and requirements f consumers, this paper set up 5 level-1 indicators and 13 corresponding level-2 indicators in five fields of product quality, engineering quality, service quality, environmental quality and quality awareness to monitor the public satisfaction with governmental quality efforts in Liaoning Province. The results show that the public satisfaction with services in the fields of engineering quality and product quality is rather low, calling for greater attention from Liaoning Provincial Government and further improvement.

Colleges and universities shoulder the important mission of training qualified contemporary college students. With the development of contemporary social and the rapid promotion of information level, teaching models and methods are faced with great challenges. Therefore, this paper analyzes the problems existing in the classroom teaching in Colleges and universities, combined with the students' thinking and learning ability. The module thought is introduced to the teaching process. A practical case is selected to illustrate the validity of the method. The results show that the teaching method proposed can enhance students' interest in learning professional knowledge and improve their communication skills.

The use of social networking sites and other mobile applications have been growing intensively. Several researches indicated that it is one of the factors that impact the relationship maintenance between one another. It is highly desirable for all citizens to have a good interpersonal communication to maintain and develop further relationships. Bad communication skills may have harmed the interpersonal relationships. With technology advancing, Smartphone’s play an important part in people’s lives. It’s easy to see people talking, slipping, or even playing on their phones in public places. Certainly, when people are concentrating on the small screens in hands, they won’t care about their plights. So the probability of an accident is higher than before. Some countries even set up the “mobile phone sidewalk” to reduce potential hazards. But that is just palliatives. People needed to find a solution that “describe the annoying situation and further remind people to put their phones down, and get talking to each other again.”In response to this request, a new word “phubbing” was created.

AbstractDuring the planning computed tomography (CT) scan, patients experience the position and any immobilisation technique required for radiotherapy.Patient’s stress and anxiety can cause muscle tension that can introduce systematic set-up errors if not recognised and corrected.We discuss two clinical cases that highlight the importance of time dedicated to communication and revision of the first CT acquisition during a virtual simulation procedure.

As information and communication technologies (ICT) continue to impact and shape modern society, and e-justice has gained momentum in recent years. China’s Supreme People’s Court (SPC) set up a trial management information system that connects all courts in China. Designed to be online, transparent, and intelligent, China’s Smart Court development began in 2016. In practice, SPC promoted modernization of the trial systems to improve the flow of information between courts throughout China. However, significant investments in ICT e-justice services have caused some to question whether these investments have achieved the expected ends. Thus, how to evaluate e-justice services becomes an urgent theoretical and policy issue in the process of e-justice construction in China. E-justice value is not clearly defined in theory in China, nor is easy to measure in practice. Because of the sensitive and complex nature of such evaluation, little research has been conducted in this regard. The objective of this paper is to fill this gap. Relevant literature is reviewed before the article moves on to describe various approaches withe regard to e-government and e-justice evaluation, as well as the characteristics of China’s Smart Court. Evaluation factors and constructs are found based on the Chinese circumstances. This study contributes to the development of a holistic evaluation framework for e-justice system. It also adds the Chinese case to the existing literature. Evaluation factors found in this article can also serve as a foundation for future development and study of e-justice services.
