The purpose of this study was to find out students’ Multiple intelligece in learning during TOEFL preparation at STKIP Abdi Pendidikan Payakumbuh. This study was carried out of descriptive research that undertaken through phenomenological approach by employing questionnaire to 31 students selected by using purposive sampling technique. The findings of this study showed that  the most multiple intelligence used  by the students was musical intelligence with the score 606 , while the multiple intelligences that less dominant used by the students was logical-mathematical intelligence with the score 531.

This study aims to identify and describe the role of principal leadership in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees and to find out what obstacles are the obstacles to the role of principal leadership in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees at SMP PGRI 03 Kencong, Jember Regency. Is a type of qualitative descriptive research and uses purposive sampling technique. There are five roles of the Principal and two obstacles faced by the Principal in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees. The results showed that the principal of SMP PGRI 03 Kencong, Jember Regency carried out the role of a leader by planning and deliberating; as a manager by creating collaboration between teachers and employees; as an educator by preparing a learning program plan; as an administrator by managing facilities and infrastructure as well as financial administration; motivator by providing motivation with a conducive school environment. The obstacles faced by the principal in improving the work discipline of teachers and employees are teachers and employees who are less disciplined in carrying out their duties so that it is also difficult to improve their work discipline, as well as obstacles in inadequate school facilities and infrastructure. Keywords: employees, leadership, principals, teachers, work discipline Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru dan pegawai dan untuk  mengetahui kendala apa saja yang menjadi penghambat peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru dan pegawai di SMP PGRI 03 Kencong Kabupaten Jember. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Terdapat lima peran Kepala Sekolah dan dua kendala yang dihadapi oleh Kepala Sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru dan pegawai. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah SMP PGRI 03 Kencong Kabupaten Jember melaksanakan peran sebagai pemimpin dengan membuat perencanaan dan bermusyawarah; sebagai manajer dengan menciptakan kerjasama antara guru dan pegawai; sebagai pendidik dengan menyusun rencana program pembelajaran;sebagai administrator dengan mengelola sarana dan prasarana serta administrasi keuangan; motivator dengan memberikan motivasi  dengan lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif. Kendala yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru dan pegawai yaitu guru dan pegawai yang kurang disiplin dalam melaksanakan tugas sehingga kesulitan pula dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerjanya, serta kendala dalam sarana dan prasarana sekolah yang belum memadai. This study aims to describe: (1)the Implementation of multiple intelligences concept in learning center at education for early age Dellia creative school and; (2) Supporting factors and the inhibiting implementation of multiple intelligences concept at learning center in education for early age Dellia creative school. The Implementation concept of multiple intelligences in the learning center defined as a process of applying innovative methods of learning in early childhood using centers based on the plural intelligence of children in early age. This research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were the managers/principals and also the educators of dellia education for early age creative school. The data were collected using observation method, interview, and documentation. The Researcher are the main instruments in conducting this research assisted by observation guides, interview guides, and documentation guidelines. The Techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data display, and taking the conclusion. The Triangulation done to explain the validity of the data using source of triangulation.The results of the research indicate that: 1) the Implementation consept of multiple intelligences at learning center in education for early age Dellia creative school is done in three stages: (a) planning includes making RKH (daily lesson plan)  and RKM (weekly lesson plan), but the planning itself is not written in RKH (daily lesson plan), the kinds of multiple intelligence development; (B) the implementation includes four footholds: first is footholds of the main environmental, second is the pre-game experience, third is the current playing ground and the last is foothold of the after-play experience. The Plural intelligence developement can be identified from the type of offered play by the educator; (C) the assessment is performed by observation, checklists, anecdotes and assignments packed in middle of semester and the ends of semester reports. 2) the supporting factors of the implementation center approched based on multiple intelligence is: (a) the instruments and the materials are adjusted to the level of child development achievement; (B)a good cooperation between the educators, employees and parents of education for early age Dellia creative schools, while the inhibiting factors are: (a) the changing of learners mood; (b) the lack of teaching personnel.Keywords: multiple intelegences, center, learning

This study aimed at identifying and understanding more deeply the self-regulated learning of students with high GPA, who had multiple roles (as housewife and worker also). The approach employed in this study was qualitative-phenomenological approach. The subjects of the study were selected by purposive sampling technique and the data were collected using techniques of observations and in-depth interviews. The results indicated that the four subjects conducted self-regulation in learning through regulating the cognition, motivation, behavior and emotion. Moreover, the subjects performed context regulation in order to achieve certain learning objectives. Self-regulated learning performed by the subjects was influenced by specific precipitating situations and the characteristics of each related individual. It was also strengthened by social support given to them. Keywords: self-regulated learning, student, many roles Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami lebih mendalam bagaimana regulasi diri dalam belajar (self regulated learning) mahasiswa yang memiliki banyak peran (sebagai ibu rumah tangga dan bekerja) dengan indeks prestasi tinggi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan kualitatif-fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling dan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah meng¬gunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa empat orang subjek menggunakan regulasi diri dalam belajar berupa regulasi kognitif, regulasi motivasi, regulasi perilaku dan regulasi emosi. Selain itu subjek juga melakukan regulasi konteks agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat dicapai. Regulasi diri dalam belajar yang dilakukan oleh para subjek dipengaruhi oleh situasi pencetus dan karakteristik tiap individu bersangkutan. Regulasi diri dalam belajar yang dilakukan juga tidak terlepas dari dukungan sosial yang diberikan kepada mereka. Kata kunci: regulasi diri dalam belajar, mahasiswa, peran banyak

Abstrak: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dalam mengerjakan soal olimpiade SMP bagi siswa kelas IX SMP N 8 Salatiga. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 4 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil tes dan wawancara diketahui semua subjek tidak memenuhi kelima tahap Krulik & Rudnick pada soal nomor 1. Pada langkah awal tahap membaca dan berfikir (read and think) subjek  telah melakukan kesalahan dalam memahami soal/masalah. Sedangkan untuk soal nomor 2 hanya 1 subjek yang tidak mampu melewati tahap kelima pada tahap teori Krulik dan Rudnick yaitu refleksi dan pengembangan (reflect and extend). Abstract:  This is a qualitative descriptive research. The purpose of this research is to know the ability of mathematics problem solving in doing Junior High Olympics for students of grade IX SMP N 8 Salatiga. The research subjects consist of 4 students selected by purposive sampling technique. Based on the results of tests and interviews are known that all subjects did not meet the five stages of Krulik & Rudnick in question number 1. In the first step of reading and thinking phase, the subject has made a mistake in understanding the problem. Meanwhile, in question number 2 only 1 subject who is not able to pass the fifth stage at the stage of Krulik and Rudnick theory, that is reflect and extend.

What is intelligence? Which are the most important characteristics of it? Starting from these two questions that have a powerful impact over the researchers, Gardner fulfill to present a new meaning sense of the termen - intelligence, which continues to be discussed. During the article we will present some connections between the musical education systems of the 20th-21st centuries and the Theory of Multiple Intelligences. Even though some of them appeared before the theory, through his affirmations, Gardner manages to prove that the musical intelligence isn’t just a talent, it is in every human being. The study of the Theory Multiple Intelligence and the deepening of some of the well-known music education systems led to design and develop of some attractive and efficient music activities in school.

<p>This study aims to measure the multiple intelligence among sample of student with autism<br />disorder and Mental disability by using teacher estimation in multiple intelligence scale and<br />its relationship with the variables: type and severity of disability, gender, and the type of<br />center, the study sample consisted of (81) student with autism and (85) student with mental<br />disability, male and female, who enrolled in private and governmental situations in Amman.<br />And for achieving the goals of the study the researcher developed the multiple intelligences<br />assessment tool consists of (56) items, were verified validity and reliability of the tool where<br />it was found that with acceptable degrees of reliability and validity.<br />After processing the data statistically and analyzed, the results indicated that the most visible<br />intelligence in mental disability is of musical intelligence, and in autism student is the<br />kinesthetic intelligence, And Autistic children also showed superiority in arithmetic and<br />kinesthetic intelligence compared with mental disability. Also children with mild disabilities<br />have high performance in all type intelligences.<br />And there are no differences in type of intelligence according to the gender and this proves<br />that disability affects the brain regardless of the gender. While the adolescents have<br />superiority in each of the linguistic, social and musical intelligence, there are no differences<br />in the multiple intelligences depending on the type of center which the student attends in it.</p><p> </p>

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui budaya informasi pada siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini berusaha mengungkapkan dan menjelaskan secara deskriptif mengenai budaya informasi pada siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Khususnya pada siswa pendidikan luar biasa di provinsi Bali. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan stratified random sampling. Jumlah sampel yang diteliti berasal dari sekolah penyelenggara pendidikan luar di provinsi Bali, yakni SLB Negeri 1 Denpasar, SLB Negeri 1 Singaraja dan SLB Negeri 1 Tabanan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan ditentukan sebanyak 152 responden. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran mengenai budaya informasi yang dimulai dengan cara mendapatkan informasi, mengolah informasi hingga memanfaatkan informasi untuk pengambilan keputusan pada siswa berkebutuhan khusus.Kata kunci: budaya informasi, siswa berkebutuhan khusus, sekolah luar biasaABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the information culture for students with special needs. This study aims to analyze: 1) the influence of people on satisfaction of service at RS Siti Rahmah, 2) the influence of process on satisfaction of service at RS Siti Rahmah, 3) influence of physical evidence to satisfaction of service at RS Siti Rahmah. This research includes causative descriptive research. The population in this study were patients or visitors Siti Rahmah Hospital. Determination of the number of samples determined by researchers as many as 60 respondents, the questionnaires distributed using accidental sampling technique and purposive sampling. Data were collected by questionnaire using Likert scale and data analysis using SEM PLS. The results of this study indicate that: 1) There is a significant positive influence between people on satisfaction of service at RS Siti Rahmah. Researchers suggested that RS Siti Rahmah improve services in the form of increased medical personnel in order to create satisfaction on services at RS Siti Rahmah.

AbstrakFenomena wanita bekerja bukan merupakan hal baru, dengan peran ganda yang dimilikinya wanita mampu menjalankan perannya sebagai wanita pekerja. Wanita pekerja mempunyai berbagai macam alasan untuk bekerja, salah satu pekerjaan yang riskan terpilih adalah sebagai pekerja seks. Penelitian memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam tentang alasan perempuan dalam memilih pekerjaan sebagai pekerja seks di wilayah kota Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan qualitative study dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dan pengambilan partisipan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 8 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam (indepth interview) dan menggunakan pertanyaan semi terstruktur. Analisis data yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah menurut langkah-langkah dari Colaizzi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 4 alasan yang mengakibatkan wanita bekerja sebagai pekerja seks, antara lain karena himpitan ekonomi, masalah dalam keluarga, korban perdagangan manusia, dan korban pelecehan seksual. Beberapa partisipan menyampaikan bahwa alasan yang memicu sehingga mereka memilih bekerja sebagai pekerja seks adalah karena adanya himpitan ekonomi, terjebak dalam perdagangan manusia serta pernah memiliki pengalaman pelecehan seksualitas. Kata Kunci: wanita, pekerja seks, studi eksplorasi AbstractExploration study in women sex workers. The phenomenon of women working is not a new thing, with the dual role she has in being able to carry out her role as a woman worker. Women workers have various reasons for work, one of the risky jobs chosen is as a sex worker. The study gained a deep understanding of the reasons for women in choosing jobs as sex workers in the city of Semarang. This research is a qualitative study with phenomenological approach and participant taking using purposive sampling technique. The number of participants in this study was 8 people. Data collection uses in-depth interview techniques and uses semi-structured questions. Data analysis carried out in this study was according to the steps of Colaizzi. This study resulted in 4 reasons that resulted in women working as sex workers, among others due to economic crush, problems in families, victims of trafficking in persons, and victims of sexual abuse. Some participants said that the reason that triggered them to choose to work as sex workers was due to economic crush, trapped in human trafficking and had experience of sexuality abuse. Keywords: women, sex workers, exploration studies.
