The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical communication skills based on SOLO Taxonomy in students of class XI of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Muhammadiyah 3 Batu in solving problems on matrix material. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, where the subject is 17 students of class XI MIPA. The method of collecting research data uses test instruments. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded thatas many as 4 students with very good mathematical communication skills criteria, 6 students with good mathematical communication skills criteria, 7 students with sufficient mathematical communication ability criteria and students. Whereas for students with written mathematical communication skills criteria lacking none. Students are in very good criteria, able to solve Unistructural - Relational level problems in SOLO Taxonomy. Meanwhile, students with good written mathematical communication skills are able to solve Unistructural level questions and Multistructural levels in SOLO Taxonomy. Then students with written mathematical communication ability criteria are quite capable of solving Unistructural level problems in SOLO Taxonomy.The average of written mathematical communication skills is in good criteria with the average value of written mathematical communication skills, namely 61.95, so that the average student is able to solve problems at a level Unistructural - Multistructural on SOLO Taxonomy.

Abstract: This study aims to improve the ability of mathematical communication by applying scientific approach in primary school. This study is a classroom action research. The subject of this research is all students of grade V of SD 016 Bangkinang Kota. The instrument used in data collection is a mathematical communication test of the description form. Implementation of learning carried out with 5 steps scientific approach that is: observing, asking, reasoning, try and communicate. This research data obtained from the results by using tests, observations, interviews, and discussions. This research was conducted for two cycles, ie cycle I held two meetings (6 x 35 minutes) and cycle II was held in two meetings (6 x 35 minutes). Result of research from every cycle that have been implemented seen improvement. This can be seen in the first cycle, the average value of students' communication skills is 92.61% percentage of students, and the meeting 2 percentage 62.54%. In the second cycle of meeting 1, the average value of mathematical communication ability is 8.71 with the percentage of 86% of students and on the second cycle of meeting 2, the average score of students' mathematical communication ability is 85 with the percentage of 97.20 students. Based on the observations made also seen the increase of student activeness in the learning process. Thus it can be concluded that the research by using scientific approach can improve students' mathematical communication skills Keyword:  Saintific approach, mathematics of communication  Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematik dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini  adalah seluruh siswa kelas V Sekolah dasar 016 Bangkinang Kota. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah tes komunikasi matematik bentuk uraian. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan  5 langkah pendekatan saintifik  yaitu: mengamati, menanya, menalar, mencoba dan mengkomunikasikan. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil dengan menggunakan tes, observasi, wawancara, dan diskusi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama dua siklus, yaitu  siklus I dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan (6 x 35 menit) dan siklus II dilaksanakan dalam dua kali pertemuan (6 x 35 menit). Hasil penelitian dari setiap siklus yang telah dilaksanakan terlihat adanya peningkatan. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada siklus I , nilai rata-rata kemampuan komunikasi siswa adalah persentase 92,61% siswa,dan pertemuan 2 persentasenya 62,54% . Pada siklus II pertemuan 1, nilai rata-rata kemampuan komunikasi matematik adalah 8,71 dengan persentase 86% siswa dan pada siklus II pertemuan 2, nilai rata-rata kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa adalah 85 dengan persentase 97,20 siswa. Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan terlihat juga adanya peningkatan keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada penelitian dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik  dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa.Kata Kunci:  Pendekatan saintifik, Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematik

This study aims to describe the ability of communication and problem solving of mathematical students in the material quadrilateral and triangle in class VII in one district of MTs Bandung. This type of research is qualitative research with phenomenology model which aims to interpret communication ability and ability to solve the mathematical problem of students. The subjects of this study were 24 students for communication skills and 25 students for math problem-solving skills. The result of data analysis shows that the mathematical communication ability of grade VII students in one MTs in Kabupaten Bandung is still relatively low with the highest percentage being in the low communication ability qualification which is 37.5%, while for students who have ability is get percentage equal to 29,2% and for students with high communication skills get a percentage of 33.3%, while for problem-solving skills in class VII is quite good with the highest percentage in qualification students with high problem-solving ability with a percentage of 44%, while for qualified students who ability is getting percentage by 40%, and for low qualifications only got a percentage of 16%.. Keywords: mathematical communication ability, mathematical problem-solving ability

ABSTRACTThis study aims to improve students' mathematical communication skills through the application of cooperative learning model Match Mine on the subject of integers in classVII MTs2 Medan. This type of researchis a classroom action research. The subjects were students of class VII-1 MTs 2 Terra in TA 2014/2015 which amounted to 42students. The object of this research is the students' mathematical communication skills through cooperative learning model Match Mine on  the     subject of         integers. The research instrument used is th eobservation and test mathematical communication skills. This study consisted two cycles and at the end of each cycleis given test comunication is mathematical ability. Before given, test           first      validated to the  validator. The results showed that cooperative learning model in the material Match Mine integer scan improve students' mathematical communication. It is seen from the results before action is given, the provisi on of diagnostics tests of 42 students only as many as 15 students (35.72%), which reached a value ≥ 65 with an average value of 58.18 class. After agiven action, the first mathematical communication skills tests in the first cycle, from 42 students as many as 25 students (59.52%) reached a value ≥ 65 with an average value of 66.95 class. From theanalysis ofthe test data communication capabilities mathematicalI on the second cycle of 42 people found that the students are 37 students (88.09%) reached a value ≥65 with an average value of 74.38 class. Based on observation, learning management research conducted in the first cycle, including both categories with a scoreof 2.87. Furthermore,in the second cycle, the researcher's ability to manage the learning increased to 3.40 so very good category. Based on the above results, it can be conclude edthatby implementing cooperative learning model Match Mine can improve students' mathematica lcommunication on the subject of integers in class VII MTs 2 Medan. Suggestions submitted to the seventh grade math teacher at MTs Negeri 2 Medan advis able to provide training to students that many require students to provide arguments that students' mathematical communication skills especially in explaining aspect scan be increased, as well asprovide the opportunity for students express ideas/ideas verbally/ writing in the learning process, andusing learning modelKeywords : mathematical communication, communication, secondary school, classroom action                      research, match mine.

AbstrakMatematika merupakan ilmu abstrak, untuk mempelajarinya diperlukan kemampuan yang memadai. Salah satunya memiliki kemampuan untuk mengkomunikasikannya dalam bentuk ide, simbol, maupun bahasa matematika. Selain itu, komunikasi merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam matematika. Untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis diterapkan pembelajaran Group Investigation. Pembelajaran ini menekankan pada keaktifan mahasiswa ketika pembelajaran. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa di salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta di Garut, dengan sampel dua kelas mahasiswa tingkat II yaitu kelas B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas C sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, yang digunakan pada pretest dan posttest. Analisis data pada hasil pretest diawali dengan uji normalitas kemudian uji Mann Whitney. Sedangkan analisis data pada hasil posttest diawali dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, kemudian uji t. Secara garis besar, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran Group Investigation lebih baik daripada mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. AbstractMathematics is an abstract science, to learn it required adequate capability. One of which has the ability to communicate it in the form of ideas, symbols, and math language. Besides, communication is a very important part in mathematics. To develop mathematical communication abilities applied Group Investigations learning. This lesson emphasizes student activeness. Population in this research were students in one private college in Garut, with sample of two classes of students of grade two that is class B as experiment class and C as control class. The instrument used in this research is a test of mathematical communication ability, used in pretest and posttest. Data analysis on pretest result begins with normality test then Mann Whitney test. While data analysis on posttest result begins with normality test, homogeneity test, and t test. In general, the results of this study indicate that the mathematical communication skills of students who get Group Investigation learning better than students who get conventional learning.

Students' mathematical communication skills are still unsatisfactory, the average student error shows an error in expressing daily events in the language of mathematics. This is due to a lack of student understanding of the material that has been taught, and the level of students' creativity in recording important concepts contained in the content of the subject matter is still not satisfactory, student records tend to be still boring. The purpose of this study are: (1) to describe the implementation of mind mapping in the scientific approach to improve students' mathematical communication skills, and (2) describe the results of the assessment of mathematical communication skills that occur in students after learning is done with mind mapping in the scientific approach. The type of research that the author is doing is included in classroom action research (CAR). The author uses interview, observation, test and documentation methods. As for the analysis, the author uses descriptive qualitative analysis techniques, namely in the form of qualitative data and quantitative data that the author obtained during direct observation in the field. The research findings show that the application of mind mapping in the scientific approach can improve mathematical communication skills in students of Jambi City Vocational High School 9. (1) The process of implementing mind mapping with a scientific approach to improve students' mathematical communication skills can run smoothly as planned. The application of mind mapping has provided new experiences for students and teachers and provides several benefits, the benefits of mind mapping obtained include: students become the spirit of learning, students easily remember lessons and students gain drawing experience to find the relationship between one concept and another concept and the teacher easier to explain the subject matter to students; (2) on the assessment of students 'mathematical communication skills, from quantitative data the acquisition of scores on students' mathematical communication obtained a high enough value, namely in the first cycle the average value obtained was 75.87 or around 77.2%, in the second cycle there was an increase namely 80.1 or around 87.1%.Keywords: Mind Mapping, scientific approach, and mathematical communication skills

One of the fundamental problem of students in mathematics learning is the low mathematical communication skills. The solution  of this problem in this study was the optimization of the application of ELPSA frame  work learning with a focus on Language and Pictorial components. The  purpose of  this study was to find out and explore the effect of optimizing the application of language and pictorial components on ELPSA framework learning on mathematical communication skills. This research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles in class IX.3 MTsN 1 Bima  for  20  students divided into three groups, 5 students to  upper  group, 5 students to  lower group  and 10 students  middle group. The results showed that the optimization of the application of  Language and  Pictorial components had an effect on the improvement of communication skills of class IX.3 MTsN 1 Bima students as indicated by observational data during learning activities. In the first cycle the average value of mathematical communication skills before the optimization activities was carried out was 49.33 and the average value of mathematical communication skills after optimization activities was 69.08 whereas in the second cycle data obtained the average communication ability before optimization activities was 53 , 42 while communication skills after the optimization activities are 71.50.

The main purpose of this study is to see the relationship between the learning activities on the communication skills of vocational students. Quantitative research and correlational data analysis takes the population of all students of SMK Negeri 1 Cipanas - Cianjur. The samples used were non-random samples, ie 21 students of class XI TKJ 2 in SMK Negeri 1 Cipanas - Cianjur. The tool used for data collection is a matter of mathematical communication ability and questionnaire of student learning activeness. Data analysis technique used is correlation test with data criteria are normal and linear distributed. Based on the results of research, it can be concluded that the relationship between students 'learning activities to students' mathematical communication skills. The influence of the contribution given by students' learning activity toward mathematical communication is 70,02%.   Abstrak Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara keaktifan belajar terhadap kemampuan komunikasi siswa SMK. Penelitian kuantitatif dan analisis data korelasional ini mengambil populasi seluruh siswa SMK Negeri 1 Cipanas - Cianjur. Adapun sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel tak acak, yaitu 21 orang siswa kelas XI TKJ 2 di SMK Negeri 1 Cipanas - Cianjur. Alat yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data berupa soal kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket keaktifan belajar siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi dengan kriteria data tersebut berdistribusi normal dan linier. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya hubungan antara keaktifan belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Besar pengaruh kontribusi yang diberikan keaktifan belajar siswa terhadap komunikasi matematis sebesar 70,02%. Kata Kunci :  Keaktifan Belajar, Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis

Communication skills are an essential aspect that students need to possess by students who want to succeed in their studies, where students' mathematical communication can organize mathematical thinking both orally and in writing. While AQ is intelligent in facing difficulties, a student must face the problems that exist in them. This study aims to determine the profile of prospective mathematics prospective teacher's mathematical communication skills in terms of adversity quotient. This study was conducted on mathematics education students in the 6th semester of Universitas PGRI Semarang. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. Subjects taken from 57 respondents were three students in the category of climbers, campers, and quitters. Written tests and interviews do data collection. Indicators of mathematical communication skills used in this study include drawing, writing, and mathematical expression. The results showed that the subject climber can meet all the indicators of mathematical communication skills and can be said to be good. Subject campers tend to meet all indicators of mathematical communication skills, have the power of communication in indicators drawing, and be quite useful. Quitter's subject tends not to meet all the communication indicators. The subject does not answer the drawing indicator's problem, and the writing and mathematical expression indicators are still wrong.

The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical communication skills of high school students in terms of guardian and idealist personality types. Subjects in this study were taken using a purposive random sampling technique of two students from class X senior high school in Bandar Lampung with different personality types, that is one student with guardian personality type and one student with a idealist personality type based on David Keirsey's personality dimensions, with personality type initial guardian (NAP) and initial idealist personality type (DBD). Mathematical communication skills are analyzed based on the following criteria : (1) the ability to write down what is known and asked about the questions; (2) the ability to write answers according to the purpose of the questions; (3) the ability to write down reasons for answering questions; (4) the ability to make mathematical terms and symbols; (5) the ability to make images that are relevant to the questions; (6) the ability to make conclusions in their own language. The results showed that subjects with guardian personality type were only able to master the five criteria of mathematical communication ability. The subject was unable to conclude with his own language. The results showed that subjects with idealist personality type were only able to master the five criteria of mathematical communication ability but the subject does not master the third criterian, the subject is unable to write down the reasons for answering the question.

Most students assume that mathematics is a complicated subject and has a higher level of difficulty in its delivery. The subject of this study was the tenth grade student of Science at Diponegoro High School in Jember Institution. Based on the problems that exist in this study so that a problem is formulated which is how mathematical communication skills of students who have high learning outcomes, how mathematical communication skills of students who have moderate learning outcomes, and how mathematical communication skills of students who have low learning outcomes. Based on the results of research and discussion it can be concluded that subjects with high learning outcomes have mathematical communication skills at the time of interview giving a minimal model for everyday life. While for the subject of moderate learning outcomes, the subject uses a model / parable in everyday life in order to more easily understand the material that exists. And subjects with low learning outcomes, the subject still cannot find a line that connects the material with the given modeling. Keywoard: mathematical communication skill, learning outcomes
