AbstrakMatematika merupakan ilmu abstrak, untuk mempelajarinya diperlukan kemampuan yang memadai. Salah satunya memiliki kemampuan untuk mengkomunikasikannya dalam bentuk ide, simbol, maupun bahasa matematika. Selain itu, komunikasi merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam matematika. Untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis diterapkan pembelajaran Group Investigation. Pembelajaran ini menekankan pada keaktifan mahasiswa ketika pembelajaran. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa di salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta di Garut, dengan sampel dua kelas mahasiswa tingkat II yaitu kelas B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas C sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, yang digunakan pada pretest dan posttest. Analisis data pada hasil pretest diawali dengan uji normalitas kemudian uji Mann Whitney. Sedangkan analisis data pada hasil posttest diawali dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, kemudian uji t. Secara garis besar, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran Group Investigation lebih baik daripada mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. AbstractMathematics is an abstract science, to learn it required adequate capability. One of which has the ability to communicate it in the form of ideas, symbols, and math language. Besides, communication is a very important part in mathematics. To develop mathematical communication abilities applied Group Investigations learning. This lesson emphasizes student activeness. Population in this research were students in one private college in Garut, with sample of two classes of students of grade two that is class B as experiment class and C as control class. The instrument used in this research is a test of mathematical communication ability, used in pretest and posttest. Data analysis on pretest result begins with normality test then Mann Whitney test. While data analysis on posttest result begins with normality test, homogeneity test, and t test. In general, the results of this study indicate that the mathematical communication skills of students who get Group Investigation learning better than students who get conventional learning.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah efektifitas metode diskusi berbantuan microsoft office excel dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika pada mahasiswa. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa tingkat II di salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta di kabupaten Garut, dengan sampel yaitu mahasiswa kelas IIB dan IIC. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang diujikan dalam pretest dan posttest. Analisis data yang dilakukan terhadap hasil pretest yaitu diawali dengan uji normalitas, kemudian uji homogenitas dan uji-t. sedangkan pada hasil posttest, analisis data diawali dengan uji normalitas kemudian uji Mann whitney. Secara garis besar, hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan metode diskusi berbantuan microsoft office excel lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran ceramah biasa.AbstractThis research is motivated by the poor ability on student mathematical communication. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the method of discussion aided microsoft office excel in an effort to improve communication skills of mathematics in students. The population in this study is the student level II in one of the private universities in Garut district, with a sample of students of class IIB and IIC. Instruments in this study are in the form of mathematical communication ability tests that were tested in the pretest and posttest. Data analysis was conducted on the results of a pretest that begins with normality test, then the homogeneity test and t-test. whereas the posttest results, data analysis begins with normality test later Mann Whitney test. Broadly speaking, the results of this study show that improvement of communication capabilities mathematical students who receive assisted learning with discussion method microsoft office excel better than students who received the usual lecture learning.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW lebih baik dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS.  Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-4 dan kelas VIII-2 dengan banyak masing-masing siswa ada kelas yang diteliti 40 orang. Kelas VIII-4 diberi model pembelajaran TTW dan kelas VIII-2 diberi model pembelajaran TSTS. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa soal pre-tes dan post-tes yang bentuknya sama. Tes ini berbentuk essay test yang banyaknya 8 soal, sebelum tes kemampuan komunikasi diberikan kepada sampel terlebih dahulu tes divalidasi oleh validator. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Hasil pretest dan postest di kelas VIII-4 secara berurutan adalah 54,60 dan 77,89. Hasil pretest dan posttest di kelas VIII-2 secara berurutan adalah 53,67 dan 71,32. Hasil pretest diuji t dua pihak dan didapat hasilnya bahwa kemampuan awal kedua kelas tersebut sama. Hasil ketuntasan kelas yang diberi model pembelajaran TTW adalah tuntas sedangkan   kelas yang diberi model pembelajaran TSTS tidak tuntas, hal ini ditunjukkan dari presentase ketuntasan kelas yang diberi TTW sebesar 85% sedangkan presentase ketuntasan kelas yang diberi TSTS hanya sebesar 55%. Pada uji hipotesis yang menggunakan uji t dengan menggunakan hasil dan postest di kedua kelas diperoleh 2,438 dan  =1,667. Karena , sehingga  ditolak dan  diterima sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW lebih baik dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS..Kata Kunci : eksperimen semu, Think Talk Write, Two Stay Two Stray ABSTRACTThis research aims to determine whether the mathematical communication skills of students who are taught using cooperative learning model TTW type better than the mathematical communication skills of students who were taught by using cooperative learning model TSTS type in SMP Negeri 22 Medan.  The sample in this study Is a student of class VIII-4 and class VIII-2 with many of each students there is a class which researched 40 people. Class VIII-4 was given a TTW learning model and class VIII-2 was given a TSTS learning model. Instrument in this research is a matter of pre-test and post-test that same shape. This test is essay test that the number of 8 questions, before the test of communication ability is given to the sample test first validated by the validator. This type of research is a pseudo experiment. Data analysis technique used is normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. The pretest and posttest results in Grade VIII-4 sequentially are 54.60 and 77.89. The results of pretest and posttest in class VIII-2 sequentially are 53.67 and 71.32. The pretest result is tested by two parties and the result is that the initial ability of the two classes is the same. The result of class completeness given by model of TTW learning is complete while class which given by model of TSTS learning is not complete, it is shown from percentage of completeness of class given TTW equal to 85% whereas percentage of completeness of class given TSTS only equal to 55%. In hypothesis test using t test by using result and postest in both classes obtained 2,438 and   =1,667. Because , so  rejected and accepted so that obtained by conclusion that mathematical communication ability of student who taught by using cooperative learning model of TTW type better than mathematical communication ability of student taught by using cooperative learning model TSTS type in SMP Negeri 22 Medan.Keywords : Quasi Experiments, Think Talk Write, Two Stay Two Stray

This study aims to describe the ability of communication and problem solving of mathematical students in the material quadrilateral and triangle in class VII in one district of MTs Bandung. This type of research is qualitative research with phenomenology model which aims to interpret communication ability and ability to solve the mathematical problem of students. The subjects of this study were 24 students for communication skills and 25 students for math problem-solving skills. The result of data analysis shows that the mathematical communication ability of grade VII students in one MTs in Kabupaten Bandung is still relatively low with the highest percentage being in the low communication ability qualification which is 37.5%, while for students who have ability is get percentage equal to 29,2% and for students with high communication skills get a percentage of 33.3%, while for problem-solving skills in class VII is quite good with the highest percentage in qualification students with high problem-solving ability with a percentage of 44%, while for qualified students who ability is getting percentage by 40%, and for low qualifications only got a percentage of 16%.. Keywords: mathematical communication ability, mathematical problem-solving ability

AbstrakLatar belakang penelitian ini yaitu permasalahan masih rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis pada mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektifitas pembelajaran take and give dalam upaya mengembangkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis pada mahasiswa. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa tingkat III pada salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta di kabupaten Garut, dengan sampel yaitu mahasiswa tingkat IIIA dan IIIB. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest. Analisis data yang dilakukan terhadap hasil pretest dan posttest yaitu diawali dengan uji normalitas, kemudian uji homogenitas dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian ini secara garis besar menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis antara mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran take and give dan yang memperoleh pembelajaran ceramah biasa, dimana mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran take and give memperoleh hasil akhir kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis yang lebih baik daripada yang memperoleh pembelajaran ceramah biasa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran take and give dapat secara efektif mengembangkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. AbstractThe background of this research is the problem is still the low ability of understanding mathematical concepts in the students. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of learning take and give in an effort to develop the ability to understand mathematical concepts in students. The population in this study are third-grade students at one private college in Garut district, with a sample of students IIIA and IIIB. Instruments in this research is a test of ability to comprehend mathematical concepts in the form of pretest and posttest. Analysis of data conducted on the pretest and posttest results is started with the normality test, then homogeneity test and t-test. The results of this study broadly indicate that there is a difference in the ability of understanding mathematical concepts between students who receive learning take and give and who get the ordinary lecture learning, where students who get learning take and give gain the end of the ability of understanding the concept of mathematical better than those who obtained ordinary lecture lessons. This suggests that take and give learning can effectively develop the ability to understand mathematical concepts.

AbstrakLatar belakang penelitian ini yaitu fakta bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematik terbukti berperan strategis dalam berbagai kegiatan pembelajaran, termasuk matematika. Tetapi, pencapaiannya belum optimal. Penelitian ini diantaranya bertujuan menemukan sulusi untuk pengembangan kemampuan komunikasi dalam matematika melalui pembelajaran berbasis Take and Give di kalangan mahasiswa agar mempunyai kompetensi untuk berkomunikasi matematika dengan baik sebagai persiapan untuk menjadi guru. Metode kuasi eksperimen digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Adapun populasi yang dipilih yaitu mahasiswa prodi pendidikan matematika pada institut pendidikan swasta di Garut, dengan mahasiswa tingkat IIA dan IIB sebagai sampel dengan jumlah 50 mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan instrumen berbentuk tes uraian untuk pretest dan posttest. Dari hasil penelitian secara garis besar diketahui bahwa mahasiswa dengan pembelajaran Take and Give mempunyai kemampuan komunikasi matematik yang lebih baik daripada pembandingnya yaitu mahasiswa dengan pembelajaran ceramah biasa. Pembelejaran Take and give terbukti signifikan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematik. Development of Mathematical Communication Ability through Take and Give LearningAbstractBackground of this study is the fact that mathematical communication ability is proven to be a strategic role in various learning activities, including mathematics. But, the achievement is not optimal. This research included the aim of finding solutions to the development of communication skills in mathematics through Take and Give learning among college students in order to have the competence to communicate mathematics well in preparation for becoming a teacher. This research used The quasi-experimental method. The population chosen is college students of the mathematics department at private education institutes in Garut, with students of level IIA and IIB as a sample with 52 students. The study used a descriptive test instrument for pretest and posttest. Based on the results of this research in broad outline, it is known that students with Take and Give learning have mathematical communication skills that are better than the comparison, namely students with regular lecture learning. Take and give learning proved to be significant in developing mathematical communication skills.

This research did from the low ability phenomena of mathematical communication of SMP in Purwakarta. The low skill ability of mathematical communication can be seen from the lack of students in completing the test of mathematical communication form to provided in the first research, the purpose of this research was to examined the improvement of CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) skill with traditional learning and the methodology of this research using quasi-experimental method which consist of two classes. The first is experiment class treated using CTL and the second is control class treated traditional learning. The population of the research taken was students of SMP Negeri 1 Babakan Cikao and a randomly selected sample of consist of 30 students of class VII A as the experiment. Class and 30 students of class VII D as control class. The instrument of this research used 6 items about mathematical communication description form, that has been tested the validity, reliability and distinguish of power form indexed difficulty. Based on the result of data analysis have concluded that the improvement of mathematical communication ability in SMP Negeri 1 Babakan Cikao by using CTL approach is better than traditional learning.

Student’s mathematical communication skills are low. Geogebra is a dynamic program with a variety of facilities that can be used as a medium of mathematics learning to visualize mathematical concepts and help to construct mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students’ matematical communication skills thorugh Geogebra. The research method use is quasi experiment. The sample used in this study was the second semester students of TA. 2018/2019. The reserach involved an experimental group and control group. The results showed that the value of sig. of 0,000 . The conclusion obtained is that the mathematical communication skills of student in the experimental class are better than increasing the mathematical communication skills of students in the control class.

During the current Covid-19 pandemic, the learning system in all educational institution is shifted from face to face to online learning, including universities. This study aims to describe the results of the mathematical communication skills of class B students of Mathematics Education from Ahmad Dahlan University for the 2019/2020 academic year during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and to examine students' mistakes in solving differential calculus problems regarding the minimum, maximum material. This study employed descriptive qualitative research. The research instrument used is a test and interview guide. The data are collected using tests and interviews. The research subjects were selected by stratified random sampling technique so that 6 students are classified into high, medium and low categories. The questions are in the form of a description of one question with six questions. The results showed that students' mathematical communication skills on indicators (1) restating information was done appropriately, (2) writing down ideas or problem-solving steps clearly and precisely, some were not thorough, (3) presenting information using graphic images again. There are still things that they couldn't understand and (4) Writing down the answers according to what is known and are asked using mathematical formulas, some are still wrong because they are not accurate.

This study aims to find out the effect of storytelling assisted by pop-up media to improve language skills and attitude of opinion in children aged 5-6 years. This study uses a quantitative pre-experimental research design with one group pre-test-post-test design without a control class. This research is conducted in TK Laboratorium UM, Malang City; with the population of the students of Class B. The data analysis used in this study includes normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test. According to research and data analysis that has been carried out and the results obtained in this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between storytelling assisted by pop-up media to improve language skills and the attitude of opinion in early childhood. The main purpose of this study is to see the relationship between the learning activities on the communication skills of vocational students. Quantitative research and correlational data analysis takes the population of all students of SMK Negeri 1 Cipanas - Cianjur. The samples used were non-random samples, ie 21 students of class XI TKJ 2 in SMK Negeri 1 Cipanas - Cianjur. The tool used for data collection is a matter of mathematical communication ability and questionnaire of student learning activeness. Data analysis technique used is correlation test with data criteria are normal and linear distributed. Based on the results of research, it can be concluded that the relationship between students 'learning activities to students' mathematical communication skills. The influence of the contribution given by students' learning activity toward mathematical communication is 70,02%.   Abstrak Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara keaktifan belajar terhadap kemampuan komunikasi siswa SMK. Penelitian kuantitatif dan analisis data korelasional ini mengambil populasi seluruh siswa SMK Negeri 1 Cipanas - Cianjur. Adapun sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel tak acak, yaitu 21 orang siswa kelas XI TKJ 2 di SMK Negeri 1 Cipanas - Cianjur. Alat yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data berupa soal kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket keaktifan belajar siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi dengan kriteria data tersebut berdistribusi normal dan linier. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya hubungan antara keaktifan belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Besar pengaruh kontribusi yang diberikan keaktifan belajar siswa terhadap komunikasi matematis sebesar 70,02%. Kata Kunci :  Keaktifan Belajar, Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis
