The financial report should report accurate information about the company situation so it can be utilized properly by stakeholders. This study aims to examine the effect of earnings management on stock returns. The data collection of this study used purposive sampling. A total of 1335 data were collected and used as research samples. The data that has been collected is then tested to obtain the results. Furthermore, in analyzing the data, the method used is descriptive statistics. Based on the analysis, the results of this study showed that earnings management has a significant effect on the stock return variable. This is because earnings management practices can trick investors into making investment transactions.

The study of this research is to determine the effect of returning shares in manufacturing companies. This study uses the financial ratios contained in the company's financial statements. The financial ratios used in this study are the current ratio, return on equity, and earnings per share to stock returns in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange in 2010-2019. This type of research used in this research is quantitative and the analytical method used is purposive sampling using SPSS 21 as many 10 manufacturing companies in the food, beverage, textile, rubber goods (tires), fisheries, and agriculture sectors. Data collection techniques are used by retrieving data through the website www.idx.co.id. The results showed that Current Ratio (CR) has a positive and significant effect on Stock Returns, Return On Equity (ROE) has a positive and significant effect on Stock Returns, and Earning Per Share (EPS) has a negative and significant effect on Stock Return.

Abstract This study aims to provide empirical evidence of investors' reactions to disclosure management discussion and analysis (MD&A) and Trading Volume Activity (TVA) in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2013 to 2018. The motivation for this research is that there are not many studies in Indonesia. which investigated the effects of MD&A on investor decisions which are illustrated by the market reaction to stock returns and volume of trading activity (TVA). This research is a quantitative study using secondary data as a source of data collection with the population of companies registered in ISSI for the 2013-2018 period. With the purposive sampling technique, 30 companies were obtained based on the highest average daily transaction value in the regular market listed in the JII (Jakarta Islamic Index). The final data used in this study are those obtained from the Annual Report of companies listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) and JII, the Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) data from the survey results of The Indonesian Institute of Corporate Governance (IICG) for the period 2013-2018. Yahoo Finance Historical Prices list for the period 2013-2018, and SWA Magazine for the period 2013-2018. Then, hypothesis testing is carried out using multiple linear regression tests and partial non-parametric correlation. The results show that (1) there is a significant positive relationship of MD&A disclosure on stock returns and (2) there is a disclosure of a significant positive effect of MD&A on trading volume activities (TVA). This study also adds a paired sample t-test to find out the difference before and after the stock price and TVA. Keywords: Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), Market Reaction, Stock Return, Trading Volume Activity.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bukti empiris dari reaksi investor terhadap pengungkapan manajemen diskusi dan analisis (MD&A) dan Trading Volume Activity (TVA) pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2013 sampai dengan 2018. Motivasi penelitian ini adalah belum banyaknya studi di Indonesia yang menyelidiki efek MD&A pada keputusan investor yang diilustrasikan oleh reaksi pasar terhadap pengembalian saham dan volume aktivitas perdagangan (TVA). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan data sekunder sebagai sumber pengumpulan data dengan populasi perusahaan yang terdaftar di ISSI periode 2013-2018. Dengan teknik Purposive Sampling sehingga diperoleh 30 perusahaan berdasarkan rata-rata nilai transaksi harian di pasar regular tertinggi yang terdaftar dalam JII (Jakarta Islamic Indeks). Data akhir yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah yang diperoleh dari Annual Report perusahaan yang terdaftar di Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI) dan JII, data Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) hasil survei The Indonesian Institute of Corporate Governance (IICG) periode 2013-2018, daftar Historical Prices Yahoo Finance periode 2013-2018, dan Majalah SWA periode 2013-2018. Kemudian, pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan beberapa uji regresi linear dan korelasi non-parametrik parsial. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada hubungan positif yang signifikan dari pengungkapan MD&A pada pengembalian saham dan (2) ada pengungkapan efek positif yang signifikan dari MD&A pada aktivitas volume perdagangan (TVA). Studi ini juga menambahkan pairedsampel t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah harga saham dan TVA. This study aims to investigate the impacts of earning management on the stock returns of listed industrial firms on the Amman Stock Exchange, with the observance of (firm size and operating cash flow) as control variables for the study. In order to fulfill the purposes of this study, the researcher utilized (Jones model) and (Modified Jones model) to measure earning management through reliance on discretionary accruals as evidence of earnings management practices, and utilize (Market Return On the Stock model) to measure stock returns, and the study population was Mining and Extraction Industries firms also Food and Beverages firms listed in Amman Stock Exchange, the study was conducted on a sample of 18 firms which represents 75% of the study population for the period from 2014 to 2018, In addition to using descriptive and analytical approach to data collection, analysis, and testing hypotheses through financial statements of the firms in the study, the researcher has used the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program to test the hypotheses. This study creates many results some of which are: there is an insignificant relationship between earnings management practices and stock returns for listed industrial firms in Amman Stock Exchange during the study period at the significance level of 5%, Which reflects the poor efficiency in Amman Stock Exchange and not the information contained in the financial statements issued and therefore not impact stock prices, which in turn affects the stock returns, and there is an insignificant relationship between stock returns and operating cash flow at the level of significance of 5%, In addition found significant correlation between firm size and stock returns at the significance level of 1%. The researcher presented a set of recommendations; the following are most valuable: the importance of increasing the awareness of the relevant parties about the unreliability of financial statements issued by industrial companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange in existence of the earnings management practice and not reflecting the information contained in the financial statements on prices and stock returns by holding seminars, conferences and meetings also Activating the role of audit committees further to be able to detect the practice of earnings management and decrease it.

This study aims to determine students' perceptions of earningss management practices including student’s perception about real earnings management, student’s perception regarding accrual earnings management. In addition, this study also observe whether or not student perceive difference between real earnings management and accrual earnings management. This study used questionnaires and then the data obtained will be processed using descriptive statistics of mean and mode. The results of questionnaire data that have been processed will be deepened with Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The results of this study indicate that there is no difference in student perceptions for real earnings management practices and accrual earnings management.

<p class="Style1"><em>This study aims to determine the effect of financial performance (return on the investments (ROI), Return on Equty (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Earning Per Share (EPS), Price to Book Value (PB V)) to return the shares either partial or simultaneously. The study focused on manufacturing comanies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the period 2008 to 2010. The selection of samples based on purposive sampling, so that the obtained sample of 56 manufacturing companies. The result of the sestudies show that partially only variable that has just EPS significantly influence on stock returns. While other variables, namely ROl, ROE, NPM, PBV had no signfficant effect on stock returns. In simultaneoualy free variabrl ROI,ROE, NPM, EPS, PBV has a significant effect on the stock Return.</em></p>

The purpose of this study is to analyzed how the IFRS convergence influence earnings management with audit quality as a moderating variable. The study was conducted on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2008-2018 obtained using the purposive sampling method. The results of the study using panel data analysis showed that IFRS convergence negatively and significantly affected earnings management.This shows that the convergence of IFRS has an impact on the decline in earnings management practices. However, this study failed to prove audit quality as a moderating variable.

ABSTRACTThe objectives of this research were to find out the students’ speaking English ability on specific purpose of learning in academic year 2018/2019. This research focus on the specific material in learning at the second semester students’ of Planology Study Program in academic year 2018/2019This research used a descriptive quantitative research. The total number of population of this research was 50 students. The researcher took the sample by using a purposive sampling. Thus, the total number of sample was 20 students. In data collection, this research used oral monologue test. The researcher used descriptive statistics to analyzed the data that indicated general tendencies in the data (range, mean, and median).  Based on the data found that the students got minimum score was 45, maximum score was 82, range score was 37 and mean score 63.75.  In this case, the students’ speaking English ability on specific purpose of learning were on the good level. It can be concluded that the students were able to speak English on specific purpose of learning

<p><em>The purpose of this study was to determine the indications of the practice of earnings management at the time of the IPO, one year after the IPO, and two years after the IPO. This study also examined the effect of earnings management on stock returns and operating performance in moderating the relationship between earnings management and stock returns.</em></p><p><em>The study sample comprised 33 firms that go public in the year 2007 to 2011 using a purposive sampling method. Earnings management is proxied by discretionary accruals using the Modified Jones Model, which used proxy for the stock return is cummulative abnormal returns (CAR), while for the company's operating performance used proxy for the return on assets (ROA).</em></p><p><em>The results showed that there were indications of earnings management at the time of the IPO, one year after the IPO, and two years after the IPO with a lower profit rate. No effect on earnings management is proxied by stock return cummulative abnormal returns (CAR). Operating performance of the company also can not moderate the relationship between earnings management with stock return.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>Keywords: Earning Management, Initial Public Offering, Cummulative Abnormal Return, </em><em>Return On Asset</em></p>

ABSTRACTThis study aims to examine the effect of current ratio and return on assets on stock returns. The dependent variable used in this study is stock returns as measured by average stock returns. While the independent variables are current ratio and return on assets. The population in this study was the food and beverage sub-sector company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2012-2016. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. The analysis technique used in this study was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that the current ratio have a negative effect on the company's stock return. While, return on assets have a positive effect on the company's stock return. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh current ratio dan return on assets terhadap return saham. Variabel dependen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah return saham yang diukur dengan return saham rata-rata. Sedangkan variabel independen adalah current ratio dan return on assets. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan Sub Sektor Makanan dan Minuman di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2012 – 2016. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa current ratio berpengaruh negatif terhadap return saham perusahaan. Sementara return on asset berpengaruh positif terhadap return saham perusahaan.

Abstract– This study aims to empirically examine the effect of financial distress on earnings management in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 12 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2016-2019. The method used in this study is a quantitative method, while the analytical tool uses E-views 9. The results in the study obtained a t count of 0.334640 and a t table of 1.68595 so that it was concluded that t count < t table, so that the financial distress variable had no effect to earnings management. Companies experiencing financial distress assume that earnings management practices will actually harm the company in the future, so that company management prefers to report actual earnings. Abstrak– Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji empiris pengaruh financial distress terhadap manajemen laba pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 12 perusahan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2016-2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif, sedangkan alat analisis menggunakan E-views 9. Hasil dalam penelitian memperoleh t hitung sebesar 0,334640 dan t tabel sebesar 1.68595 sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa t hitung < t tabel, sehingga variabel financial distrees tidak berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba. Perusahaan yang mengalami financial distress menganggap bahwa praktik manajemen laba sebetulnya akan merugikan perusahaan untuk kedepannya, sehingga manajemen perusahaan lebih menyukai untuk melaporkan laba yang sesungguhnya.
