In terms of time, Mind Mapping can streamline the use of time in studying an information. This is mainly because this method can present a comprehensive picture of a thing in a short time. In other words, Mind Mapping is able to cut learning time by changing the pattern of linear recording into effective recording and at the same time directly understood by the individual. So is the preparation of teachers. Teaching preparation is a special tip in the successful delivery of a subject matter. One of the subjects in Elementary School (ES) is a Natural Science that in fact many proofs between theory and practice. Therefore, the Mind Mapping method in preparation for teaching is one of the special tips for the delivery of the material in its entirety. The more mature the preparation of a teacher in planning the lesson, the better prepared the teacher teaches. With Mind Mapping, the teacher must have tried to think about the things involved with the lesson to be conveyed, such as the tool of the demonstration, how to estimate the condition of the learning condition if using the props, how to use the props, or whether the learner should try the props We make / we serve. With Mind Mapping, teachers are ready to teach with all their abilities accompanied by learning tools that are prepared. Keywords: Mind Mapping, Preparation, Teaching.

This paper considers notions of agency, interaction and power in business news journalism. In the first part, we present a bird’s eye view of news access theory as it is reflected in selected sociological and anthropological literature on the ethnography of news production. Next, we show how these theoretical notions can be applied to the study of press releases and particularly to the linguistic pragmatic analysis of the specific social and textual practices that surround their transformation into news reports. Drawing on selected fieldwork data collected at the business desk of a major Flemish quality newspaper, we present an innovative methodology combining newsroom ethnography and computer-assisted writing process analysis which documents how a reporter discovers a story, introduces it into the newsroom, writes and reflects on it. In doing so, we put the individual journalist’s writing practices center stage, zoom in on the specific ways in which he interacts with sources and conceptualize power in terms of his dependence on press releases. Following Beeman & Peterson (2001), we argue in favor of a view of journalism as ‘interpretive practice’ and of news production as a process of entextualization involving multiple actors who struggle over authority, ownership and control.

[Title: The Application of Mind Mapping Method to Improve Writing Skill in Writting English Descriptive Text of Students at Grades X AP-1 SMK Widya Mandala Badung] The aim of this paper is to determine students’ writing skill in doing descriptive. The research was conducted in the form of classroom action research, and mind mapping as learning method applied for improving students’writing skill. The application of this method in teaching and learning process arre expected to solve the problem that are faced by students at grade X AP1 SMK Widya Mandala. Constructivism theory were used to determine the learning model , in this case it has the same direction with mind mapping method. The theory of grammar and writing theory were used as a reference in making the assessment rubric. Methods of data collection and data analysis techniques performed quantitatively and qualitatively. Data were collected through a method of testing, observatiaon and questionnaires. The quantitative data collected through test and questionnaires, while the qualitative through observation. The result of the data analysis were presented in tables and charts with the description. The increased writing skill of the students can be seen from the average class grade, that is it is 63,7 in the pre-test, in the first cycle it became 73,9 and in the second cycle it became 78,3. The increased writing skill of the students is also proved by the increased percentage of grade achieved by the students that is more than 70. In the pre-test, the percentage of grade achieved was 33,33%, in the first cycle it became 59,26% and in the second cycle it became 100%.

This study aimed at investigating the effect of the implementation of mind mapping learning method to the students’ social science achievement viewed from learning interest at the fourth-grade students of an elementary school in Denpasar city in the academic year 2016/2017. This study was quasi-experimental research which applied the posttest-only control group design involving 80 students of grade four at elementary school in Denpasar city who were selected by using the total sample sampling technique. The data of the students’ social science achievement and learning interest were collected and then analyzed using the Analysis of Covariance (Anacova). The result of this study showed that the students’ social science achievement who were treated with mind mapping learning method was higher compared to the students’ social science achievement of those treated with the conventional learning method. This difference was consistent even though the students’ learning interest has been controlled. Based on the result of this study, it is suggested that mind mapping learning method be applied in the teaching and learning process of social science at the elementary school.

This study deals with the synthesis of selected attributes of public transport accessibility. The aim is to present a new method of multi-criteria analysis. As the research area, the city of Cracow has been chosen. The GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) system has been used to obtain traffic data for buses and trams within the city‘s transport company (MPK Krakow). The analysis itself consists of 4 main accessibility indicators (walking time to each stop, number of lines, directions, and connections from each stop). The problem of exceeding the stops accessibility beyond the administrative border of Cracow has been solved by using a 500 m wide buffer zone around the city. To connect the individual layers of indicators into a multicriteria analysis, the Voronoi diagram function has been applied. The results of the method are presented in the form of synthetic maps of transport accessibility for each bus and tram stop in Cracow. Together with the synthetic accessibility maps, an index of a stop importance has been created as well, which consists of the sum of the mean percentages from 3 indicators (number of lines, directions, connections). The synthetic method used and acquired detailed values not only for the city of Cracow as a whole, but also its individual parts make it possible to provide a comprehensive picture of accessibility by public transport. This multicriteria analysis can also be extended for a comparative study of selected cities.
