The subject of analysis in this paper is the verbal root *dvig-, whose formal and semantic development can be followed ever since the Proto-Slavic period. The research is based on anthropocentric-spatial language theory, which enables the analysis of how basic semantic component? embedded in some verbal roots representing basic human positions, movements and activities with hand, can be transferred and elevated by the evolving conceptualisation (of the material and mental world). The author analyses the derivatives of the Proto-Slavic verbal root *dvig- / *dig- with the embedded semantic components ?human relocation in space? and ?relocation in space upwards?, which during language evolution have been transferred into the mental domain, preserving only the basic concept of ?relocation? and the broad concept that ?upwards? refers to ?a higher level?, which is perceived as ?better, more desired? in the mental world. The author also analyses how these formal verbal and nominal derivatives carry this semantic information through language evolution, both in real and in mental world.

Semantic derivation of the protoslavic verbal root *met‑in Macedonian languageThe subject of analysis in this paper is protoslavic verbal root *met‑which formal and semantic development can be traced from a very old period. The research is based on anthropocentric-spatial language theory which helps to analyze how the meaning embedded in some verbal roots representing basic human positions and movements can transfer and rise through evolution of the conceptualization of the material and mental world. The author analyzes the derivativesof the protoslavic verbal root *met‑with embedded semantic components move in all directions, throw… and how the formal verbal and nominal derivatives carry this semantic information through language evolution.

This article is based on data from a doctoral thesis about the “anthropology of life-threatening, death and time.” [1] The interpretation is made from twelve life reviews set at homes of people who suffered a serious, but not necessarily fatal illness. Two-cultural configurations are chosen along the axis of rural-urban polarity. It focuses on three types of solidarity, facing the awareness of death: 1) the ethnographic position, in data gathering and analysis. Specific propositions are given concerning the subject and intersubjectivity, cultural generalization of personal experiences, and scientific criteria; 2) what helps cope with illness. Pre-death practices are structured on the basic concept of resistance to illness and preparation for death practices rely on a coherence “test.” The genealogy of practices emerge in six situational and seven historical factors; 3) the conditions of a new type of rite before death and its functions, beside the institutionalization of illness and death.

The article is devoted to the modeling a semantic knowledge networks. The knowledge network is the basic concept of the problem of knowledge management. This is a new discipline that implements the principles of sustainable development of education. The method of constructing a semantic knowledge network allows us to analyze the connections between educational disciplines: “Economic Cybernetics”, “Algorithms and Programming” and “Calculus”. The paper compares the topological characteristics of the concept graphs related to various disciplines. We develop the algorithm to implement the subject area model in the form of a semantic knowledge network. 125 concepts are analyzed that provide optimal mastering disciplines and establish the connection between them.

AbstractUsing self-paced reading, this study investigated the role of head animacy in the processing of Japanese relative clauses (RCs). Second language (L2) learners whose first languages (L1) are English and Korean, and Japanese native speakers participated. The results showed that for native speakers, inanimate heads diminished the processing difficulty associated with object RCs. However, head animacy did not have an effect on L2 processing. The Korean group showed the subject-object asymmetry but no effect of head animacy. The English group did not demonstrate the effect of RC type or head animacy. The overall pattern of these results suggests that L2 learners of Japanese are not guided by syntactic and lexical-semantic information in the same way as Japanese native speakers. These findings are interpreted within the constraint-satisfaction models (MacDonald et al., 1994) and are further discussed in the light of the research concerning the transfer of L1 processing routines.

This research was aimed to determine the understanding concept of students in solving mathematics story problems CRI in terms of personality types. The research method was descriptive qualitative. Subjects in this research ware as many as 4 students, each 2 students with Extrovert personality types and 2 students with introverted personality types. Technique of Data collecting in this research using questionnaire instrument of personality type, about written story and interview. Based on the data analysis, the results of research indicate that: (1) the understanding concept of subject with extrovert personality type is at the level of ability of translation and interpretation. In solving the mathematical story problems, they are able to identify, present and apply the broad concept and circumference of the circle and provide a high CRI scale. Extrovert personality type shows that solving the subject matter is not careful, in a hurry as to dare to take risks from the work, done and to underestimate a thing, and to like the practical things. (2) the understanding concept of subject with introverted personality type is at the level of translation ability. In solving the mathematical story, they are only able to identify and present the concept of circles and provide a low CRI scale. According introverted personality type that shows in solving the subject matter are meticulous, careful, careful in solving the story problem, causing the subject with introverted personality type to be shy and not confident with the answers they write.

The autochthonous Dagestan languages belong to an ergative typology, in which the entire language system is subordinated to the reflection of the semantics of the subject’s activity / passivity, his participation / non-participation in the event happening with him or around him, the subject’s influence on the object, the activity / passivity of which is also controlled by the subject. At the same time, the subject himself can take shape in different cases, expressing his role in what is happening or produced by the event itself. The whole system of declination of the Rutul language is subordinated to the expression of the semantics of the subject's activity, the main semantic component of which is the principle of anthropocentrism. The article discusses the features of the reflection of the people's thinking and their ideas about the world in language, which imprint not only on the linguistic picture of the world, but also on the structure of the language itself.

The study is devoted to the consideration of the analytical forms of the verb in the Chuvash language and the issue of their inclusion in the system of grammatical categories along with synthetic forms. The work was carried out on the material of samples of Chuvash fiction using the functional-semantic method. The article presents a brief history of the study of this issue both in general in Turkic studies and in Chuvash linguistics. The author emphasizes that the existing undefined status of such combinations in the grammars of the Chuvash and other Turkic languages does not contribute to an adequate description of the corresponding forms and categories. Due to the fact that one of the components of analytical forms completely or partially loses its nominative meaning, while acquiring an official grammatical meaning, they have not become the subject of detailed study in the syntax section. But in morphology, they are also not studied to the proper extent due to the fact that more than one word is formally present in such combinations. The author believes that when applying the functional-semantic approach to the study of such combinations, it becomes clear that functionally these forms do not differ from synthetic forms and should be the subject of description at the morphological level. The conclusions of the research are supported by examples of specific analytical forms and are as follows: these forms are an integral part and structural feature of the Chuvash language grammar. As a prospect for further research, we can name a detailed study of the functional and semantic component of the analytical forms of the verb and the development of their classification.
