In this paper, the NEP scale has been used for measurement of achieved level of environmental awareness of students of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Novi Sad. As they are future decision makers in the field of agribusiness, it is very important for them to accept the new ecological paradigm in order to be able to make decisions in the future that are consistent with sustainable development and environmental protection. The research has been conducted on a sample of 800 students. The average value of the environmental awareness of students measured by NEP scale is 3.47, which indicates that students have a pro-ecological worldviews, but still firmly believe in technological development which will provide comfortable and safe life for future generations, without major changes in behavior patterns. Special emphasis was put on understanding of the effects of certain demographic variables on students? ecological orientation. A statistically significant difference in terms of acceptance of new environmental paradigm has not been observed regarding these variables, but there is a statistically significant difference when it comes to the individual NEP scale statements.

Background and Aim: This study seeks to examine whether there is a difference between the level of relationship between teachers' individual innovativeness perceptions and their life satisfaction and whether there is a difference in terms of some demographic variables during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The research is a quantitative study and was carried out in relational screening model. The sample of the study consists of 335 teachers working in schools affiliated to the Kahramanmaras Central District National Education Directorates. The data of the research was analysed using the Jamovi 1.6.12 statistical software program. Results and Conclusion:: As a result of the research, it was seen that the majority of the teachers were in the questioning and pioneering groups based on the scores of the individual innovativeness scale,. Significant differences were found in the scores of the participants' individual innovativeness scale sub-dimensions in terms of gender, marital status, branch, and sports status. On the other hand, there were no significant differences in life satisfaction scale scores in terms of gender, marital status, and branch variables (p>0.05); It was found that there was a significant difference in terms of the variable of doing sports (p>0.05); In addition, no significant relationship was found between the sub-dimensions of resistance to change, opinion leadership, openness to experience, and risk-taking and life satisfaction. For the success of educational institutions (herein referred as an organisation), teachers’ commitment has, in particular, been recognised as an effectual route. As the educational system is the most influential spot that leads to the progress of society, it requires committed teachers who are not mere tools, but their strategic partners. This research study highlights the state of commitment of university teachers under various dimensions in India and explore whether there is any significant difference between selected demographics and the perception of teachers over their organisational commitment issues. The data were collected from full-time teachers working in selected universities of India. This study reveals that the majority of teachers possess continuance commitment, as they weigh the costs and risks associated with leaving the university and when given better alternatives, they may leave their institutions. Among the demographic variables, it was only the level of education that was found to be significantly affecting the commitment of university teachers. This study reveals that the teachers and the universities are engaged in give and take relationship. When teachers perceive high organisational engagement, they respond back with a greater commitment, perceiving them as an integral part of the organisation. They are more motivated and dedicated towards meeting and achieving organisational goals. Moreover, universities depend on committed teachers to create and sustain a competitive advantage and achieve superior performance.

Introduction. Despite a large number of modern contraceptive methods available in the market today, numerous studies have shown insufficient awareness of young women about these forms for birth control. The aim of this study was to compare characteristics of common use of contraceptives as well as the awareness of hormonal contraception among female students of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. Materials and Methods. In the study which was conducted in 2012 240 female students of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Technical Sciences participated. The average age of students of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Technical Sciences was 24.06 ? 3.24 and 22.72 ? 0.90 years, respectively. They completed an anonymous questionnaire, which consisted of three parts. The first part comprised general questions, the second part included characteristics of the sexual life of students and their contraceptive habits, while in the third part students were asked to evaluate the accuracy of statements about hormonal contraception. The obtained data were statistically processed by using appropriate methods. Results. The average age when the students of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Technical Sciences had the first sexual intercourse was 18.74 ? 2.61 and 18.75 ? 2.59, respectively. One third of students from both faculties (30.91% from the Faculty of Medicine and 35% from the Faculty of Technical Sciences) had only one sexual partner. Modern contraception was used by 83.64% of the medical students and by 80% of those from the Faculty of Technical Sciences. Contraception was used regularly by 54.54% of the medical students and 43% of those from the Faculty of Technical Sciences. The most frequently applied contraceptive method was condom (90% of the medical students and 93% of the Faculty of Technical Sciences students, respectively). Oral contraceptives were used by 24.54% of the medical students and 11% of those form the Faculty of Technical Sciences. There was a statistically significant difference in the knowledge level between the two groups since the medical students gave quantitatively higher range of expected responses than the students from the Faculty of Technical Sciences. Conclusion. It is necessary to increase the availability of adequate information on various types of contraception to student population in Vojvodina.

Background: Cast analysis is the measurement of the upper and lower arch in a 3-dimensional occlusal relationship. Howe’s Analysis can be used to observe total tooth material, arch length, and basal arch width. Howe’s Analysis was conducted to analyse abnormalities of both teeth and the jaw to help diagnose and plan dental care. Purpose: To analyse the difference in total tooth material, arch length, basal arch width, and Howe’s Index between male and female undergraduate students from the University of Sumatera Utara who are of Proto-Malay origin. Methods: Ninety-six samples comprised of 48 male and 48 female students were recruited through the purposive sampling method. All samples were undergraduate students at the University of Sumatera Utara and of Proto-Malay origin, aged between 18 to 26, and have met the exclusion and inclusion criteria. We measured the variables using a digital caliper to measure basal arch width and arch length and Moorrees’ method to measure total tooth material. Data were analysed statistically using an independent t-test to compare means between groups (p<0.05). Results: The male samples’ average value of total tooth material 98.49 mm±3.79, arch length 45.55 mm±2.28, basal arch width 41.07 mm±2.83, and Howe’s Index were 41.71 %±2.63, respectively. The female samples had a lower value compared to the male samples, 94.51 mm, 43.27 mm, 36.89 mm, and 39.05 % respectively. There was a significant difference in the total tooth material, arch length, basal arch width, and Howe’s Index between male and female undergraduate students from the University of Sumatera Utara of Proto-Malay origin (p=0.001; p<0.05). Conclusion: The average measurement of total tooth material, arch length, basal arch width, and Howe’s Index was higher in male than female undergraduate students from the University of Sumatera Utara of Proto-Malay origin.

Background: Role of parents in upbringing of children is crucial in forming a child’s future. In the present generation of increasing nuclear families, father’s role in child rearing becomes even more important in deciding the future of a child. Hence in this regard the following study was conducted to determine the father’s involvement in child rearing and to determine the socio-demographic variables associated with involvement of father in child rearing.Methods: It is a cross-sectional study conducted in rural part of Mysuru District. Houses in the village were selected by simple random sampling through lottery method. Data was collected using Inventory of Fathers Involvement (IFI) questionnaire which was self-administered. Information on socio-demographic variables were also collected. Data thus obtained was coded and entered into SPSS version 22 and analyzed using the same. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, viz. percentages and the inferential statistics using Chi-Square test for qualitative data. Mann Witney U Test was used to know if significant difference existed in various domains of both group (Those with poor and better involvement in child rearing).Results: 75.9% of fathers had poor in child rearing and the remaining 24.1% showed better involved in child rearing based on scores. The difference was observed in all the domains of IFI in the two groups except Attentiveness domain. Age of the father was found to be significantly associated with ‘social encouragement’ and ‘providing’ domains. Birth spacing with ‘Mother Support’ domain. Socio-economic status with ‘praise and affection’ domain. Type of family with ‘developing talents and future concerns’, ‘reading and homework support’ and Sex of the child was seen to be associated with ‘developing talent and future concern’ and overall total score.Conclusions: 3/4th of father’s showed poor involvement in child rearing. The individual scores in all domains was statistically significant in both groups. Various socio-demographic variables were found to influence father’s involvement.

Abstract: The terms "university", "teaching" and "research" are closely related. The reason for the establishment of a community of learners and students were, on the one hand, the formation of man, and on the other the search for the truth about man, life, society and the world. In the face of technological development and access to information, including the development of legislation that allows the individual, without going through formal institutions, data acquisition, the question arises whether the university is needed, and if so, what is its role in realizing the right to education and freedom of scientific research. Implementation of freedom of scientific research and freedom of teaching in times of universal information access and modern technology can do without the university. However, this is university that can benefit from innovative research methods and teaching remains the most important forum for the exchange of ideas and the search for truth and knowledge transfer, vocational skills and social attitudes.Keywords: Right to education. Freedom of scientific research. Constitution. Cultural rights. Freedom of teaching. Resumo: Os termos "universidade", "ensino" e "pesquisa" estão intimamente relacionados. A razão para o estabelecimento de uma comunidade de alunos e estudantes foram, por um lado, a formação do homem, e por outro a busca da verdade sobre o homem, a vida, a sociedade e o mundo. Em face de desenvolvimento tecnológico e do acesso à informação, incluindo o desenvolvimento de uma legislação que permite que o indivíduo, sem passar por instituições formais, tenha acesso a dados e a informações, gera a questão de saber se a universidade é necessária, e em caso afirmativo, qual é o seu papel na realização dos direitos à educação e à liberdade de pesquisa científica. Based on the analysis of the results of ultrasonic testing, a quantitative assessment of the influence of the human factor on the PoD curves built for independent inspectors, several (different) flaw detection techniques was obtained. It is shown that the average value of the change in the probability of detecting flaws, which determines the value of the correction coefficient equal to 0.015 for flaws with a height of 4 to 12 mm (for the defectometry technique) and 0.18 for flaws with a height of 5 to 12 mm (for flaw detection techniques). For flaws less, than 4 mm in height, the average value of the change in the probability of detecting flaws for individual inspectors depends significantly on the height of the flaw. A significant difference in the average value of the change in the probability of detecting flaws and the standard deviation during inspection by flaw detection and defectometry techniques is associated with the difference in the amount of information provided by the inspection techniques and the individual characteristics of the inspectors.

PurposeIt is commonly believed that personality traits determine a person's ability to work in a team and academic performance. However, studies have shown inconsistent results with some personality traits better than the other in predicting students' performance in different academic majors. The purpose of this study is to examine the interrelation between personality traits, teamwork competencies and academic performance among first-year first semester engineering students in an Australian university located in the Sarawak state of Malaysia.Design/methodology/approachThe Individual and Team Performance (ITP) metrics were administered among 189 students to gauge their personality traits as well as self-rated and peer-rated teamwork competencies. The correlations between personality traits and teamwork competencies as well as correlations of both the variables to academic performance were subsequently analyzed.FindingsThis study shows no significant difference between the self-rated and peer-rated teamwork competencies. Adventurous trait appears to negatively correlate with teamwork competencies. This study also reveals teamwork competencies as better predictors of academic performance than personality traits. Commitment and focus show relatively larger effect on academic performance. It can be concluded that commitment is the most significant factor to excel in first-year engineering in the university. Therefore, interventions that promote commitment is crucial to academic performance of the first-year first semester engineering students.Practical implicationsThis study promulgates the development of team competencies which are more crucial to academic excellence than personalities. It is useful for the design of team learning activities which lead to the development of teamwork competencies while improving academic performance. It shows that team activities which reinforce commitment especially and focus secondarily, will have significant positive effect on academic performance of the first-year engineering students generally.Originality/valueWhile most studies in this area examine the correlation between personality traits and academic performance, this study is among the very few that looks into the aspect of teamwork competencies. This study also finds its value in its regional significance as such correlational studies are not prevalent in Malaysia.

In a world of rapid change and transformation, many developments in different fields have affected both the organization and the individual, and these changes have led to an increase in the number of stimulants affecting employees. One of the most intensive problems in this regard is the procrastination of employees. The aim of this research is to examine if there is a significant difference at the levels of general and decisional procrastination of employees in scope of demographic variables. In this context, a research was conducted to the healthcare workers consisted of 393 respondents working at the hospitals of Malatya, Elazığ and Bingöl. According to the research results, it was determined that healthcare workers' levels of general and decisional procrastination were close to the average. Also in scope of demographic variables, it was found that there was a significant difference at the level of general procrastination according to gender, age and duration of work experience variables. In terms of decisional procrastination levels, it was found that there was a significant difference in the graduation status variable. Various suggestions on these results were submitted.
