There are still many students who lack writing skills. Students are confused about starting a discussion or determining ideas, and the lack of vocabulary makes it difficult for students to write. This study aims to analyze the use of digital mind mapping to improve students' writing skills. This type of research is classroom action research which will be divided into two cycles. cycle 1 in 3 sessions and cycle 2 in 2 sessions. The research subjects were 33 students. The methods used in collecting research data are observation, interviews, and tests. The instruments used to collect data are questionnaires and test sheets. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that Digital Mind Mapping was effective for improving students' abilities. It was found that the average score of students in the pre-test was 24%,  increased to 90% in the post-test I and in the post-test II. There was an increase in the number of students who had not previously achieved the KKM. The increase in the average score of students is also supported by student interest during the teaching and learning process because the method uses technology. In addition, the students found that the Digital Mind Mapping activity helped them organize students' ideas, become critical thinking, creative and improve students' writing.

When explaining the material, the teacher only uses blackboard learning media and is monotonous. This has an impact on student learning outcomes are low. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Quizizz Game learning media in increasing enthusiasm and learning outcomes. This type of research is classroom action research. The research subjects were fourth-grade students with 23 students. The data in this study were obtained through pretest, post-test questions contained in the Quizizz Game application from observations and documentation. The instruments used to collect data are questionnaires and tests. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study were that students obtained a percentage of learning completeness of 43.47%. After being given action I, the average score was 72, with a learning completeness percentage of 60.86% in Cycle I. In Cycle II, the average score increased to 85 with a learning completeness percentage of 95.65%. From the analysis above, it can be concluded that the application of the Quizizz Game learning media can increase students' interest and learning achievement. This research implies that teachers can use the application of the Quizizz Game learning media to increase student interest and learning outcomes.

As a part of vocabulary learning, the idiom is an important part of language teaching. This study is to investigate whether conceptual metaphor can promote idioms’ teaching and learning or not. In the course of study, we make use of a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis, collecting data through the questionnaire survey and do experiments in teaching and learning idioms. We get the conclusion: the T value of the experimental group and the control group is p<0.05, the pre-test and post-test values is p<0.05. It is feasible to apply the conceptual metaphor in idiom teaching and learning.

This study aims to improve the writing skills of negotiation texts through the application of problem-based learning strategies. This research is a classroom action research with the research subjects of class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Labuapi consisting of 25 students. The research instrument used tests, observations, document analysis, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this research was qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that in the process there is an increase in student enthusiasm in participating in learning, student interaction in groups, and student attention. This can be shown from the results of observations during the learning process. The product improvement can be seen with the increase in the students' writing value of negotiating text. In the pre-cycle there were 16 students who had not yet completed it and in the first cycle there were still 6 students who had not finished, and in the second cycle it increased again, that all 25 students had all completed. These results indicate that the application of problem-based learning strategies can increase student activeness in teaching and learning activities and can improve writing negotiation text skills for class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Labuapi.

Maharah Al-Kitabah or Writing skill is one of the highest literacy skills or abilities in Arabic learning. In this way, it is important to apply Mind Mapping strategies as an alternative to Maharah Al-Kitabah learning. The purpose of this study was to see an increase in Maharah Al-Kitabah learning through Mind Mapping strategy. The study was conducted using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The researcher acts as an observer. The research subjects involved 28 students and one Arabic subject teacher as a source of research. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, tests, and questionnaires. While the data analysis technique used a mix method that is qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data obtained through observation, and quantitative data obtained from the results of pre-test and post-test students. The results showed that based on the results of research by observers obtained 83.3% data, observations by teachers amounted to 87.7%. Furthermore, it was concluded that the results of maharat al-kitabah learning research through Mind Mapping strategy experienced an increase, with a percentage of 8.1%. It showed that the application of Mind Mapping strategy is very necessary to improve Arabic learning, especially in the proficiency of Mahârah Al-Kitâbah. This study drawn that Mind Mapping strategy can be used as  one of  the overcoming student’s language problems in non-linguistic aspects in the form of students' interests, motivations, critical abilities, and creativity. Therefore Mind Mapping strategy is an effective strategies to improve the student’s writing learning interest and learning student’s outcome.

The purpose of this study was to increase students' interest and learning outcomes in the concept of global warming symptoms through the application of science comics.. This research method used classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles and carried out in SMA Negeri 10 Bandung by taking a sample of 30 students of class XI IPA. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and tests. The data from the research results were obtained through the pre-test and post-test in the first cycle with an average of 64.93 and 66.83 with the incomplete category, while in the second cycle the average score for the pre-test was 74.37 and the post-test was 88.66 with the complete category. . The results of data analysis showed that learning outcomes increased, while the results of the student interest questionnaire showed 92.59% of students were very interested and 7.41% of students were interested. The collected data were also analyzed by calculating the N-gain and t-test resulting in the N-gain in Cycle I = 0.05 in the low category, while Ngain in the second cycle = 0.56 in the moderate category. The results of the t-test calculation show that t_hit = 9.69 while t_tab = 2.05 so that t_ (hit>) t_tab. Based on the research data, it can be concluded that science comics can increase students' interest and learning outcomes in the concept of global warming symptoms.

 Today there are so many learning strategies to support teaching and learning activities. One of the learning strategies that can be applied in writing skills is Task Based Language Learning. This research aims to measure the level of student mastery of descriptive text writing skills before and after the use of Task Based Language Learning strategies; measure the effectiveness of the implementation of Task Based Language Learning, and; obtain information about the implementation of Task Based Language Learning. The method used in this research was a pre-experimental. Meanwhile, the research design was one group pre-test and post-test design. The research findings explained that the use of Task Based Language Learning can improve students’s descriptive text writing skills. This is proven by an increase in the average value obtained by students. The average score in the pre-test was 60.8 while the post-test average score increased by 74.88. Then based on the overall questionnaire data analysis, the application of this learning strategy contributed positively to the learning of descriptive French writing skills.

Riset ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pendidikan menulis bacaan anekdot dengan media foto karikatur pada siswa kelas X MAN 1 Pidie serta kenaikan keterampilan menulis bacaan anekdot pada siswa kelas X MAN 1 Pidie sesudah mendapatkan pendidikan dengan media foto karikatur. Riset ini ialah riset aksi kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan, ialah perencanaan, penerapan, observasi, serta refleksi. Subyek riset ini merupakan siswa kelas X MAN 1 Pidie dengan jumlah siswa 34 orang yang terdiri dari 15 siswa wanita serta 19 siswa pria. Metode pengumpulan informasi dicoba dengan uji, observasi, serta catatan lapangan. Metode analisis informasi yang digunakan merupakan analisis kualitatif serta kuantitatif. Hasil analisis informasi menampilkan kalau kenaikan keahlian menulis bacaan anekdot pada siswa kelas X MAN 1 Pidie terjalin sesudah memakai media foto karikatur. Perolehan nilai rata- rata pada siklus I: 62, 35%, siklus II: 78, 8%, serta siklus III: 88, 9%. Dengan demikian bisa disimpulkan, pemakaian media foto karikatur dapat meningkatkan keahlian menulis bacaan anekdot, serta guru tetap tingkatkan keahliannya dalam memakai media foto karikatur. Perihal ini nampak dari siklus yang diperoleh siswa pada tiap- tiap siklus. This research aims to describe the application of anecdotal reading writing education using caricature photo media in class X MAN 1 Pidie students and the increase in anecdotal reading writing skills in class X MAN 1 Pidie students after receiving education using caricature photo media. This research is a classroom action research (CAR), which is carried out in 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were students of class X MAN 1 Pidie with a total of 34 students consisting of 15 female students and 19 male students. The method of collecting information was tried by testing, observation, and field notes. The information analysis method used is qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the information analysis show that the increase in anecdotal reading writing skills in class X MAN 1 Pidie was intertwined after using caricature photo media. The average value obtained in cycle I: 62, 35%, cycle II: 78, 8%, and cycle III: 88, 9%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of caricature photo media can improve writing skills for anecdotal reading, and teachers can continue to improve their skills in using caricature photo media. This matter can be seen from the cycle that students get in each cycle.

The purpose of this study is to find out a learning model using a game-based tennis backhand skill model. The method used is  Research & Development with mixed methods research approach that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. It is intended to be able to reach or process all data or information so that a comprehensive explanation will be obtained. The number of samples as many as 20 respondents.  The steps taken in the trial include: (1) establishing a group of research subjects (2) Carrying out Pretest (3) trying the model that has been developed (4) carrying out  post-test  (5) looking for the average score of pretest  and  posttest and compared between the two (6) looking for the differences between the two averages through statistical methods (t-test) to find out whether or not there is a significant influence of the use of the model.  The conclusion of this study is that  game-based tennis  backhand  learning model can be developed and applied in the process of learning backhand  techniques of tennis effectively and efficiently.

Motivation effect influences students performances in class that can indicate students’ achievement. This Action Research aims to increase motivation towards mathematics learning of seventh graders at SMP Negeri 11, Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 2016/2017 using NHT modal was implemented in two cycles. Data were collected through mathematics motivation questionnaire, observation sheets on teaching and learning process, and field notes. Data were analyzed through qualitative and quantitative analysis. In the first cycle, students’ scores on motivation increased in 88% (good categorization), where three students (9%) in very good motivation level, 19 students (56%) were categorized good, and 12 students (35%) were categorized moderate. The implementation result of NHT in first cycle was 76%. In the second cycle, students’ motivation scores increase beyond exceeded the target. The average results of the motivation score were 93 (good), where was 4 students (12%) in very good categorization, 25 students (73%) were categorized good, and 5 students (15%) were categorized moderate. Then, NHT learning reached 92%. To sum up, it can be concluded that NHT can be alternative modal that can be implemented to help mathematics class for seventh graders at SMP Negeri 11, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe the average poetry writing skills in students with the application of the Mind Mapping Learning model, the average poetry writing skills in students with the application of the Learning Learning Model.The theory used in this research is a mind mapping learning model and writing poetry. The method used is an experimental method with a form of research Quasi Experimental Design. The design used is the Two-Group pretest-Posttest Only. The population in this study is class VIII A, VIII B, and VIII C while the samples are Class VIII A and VIII B. Data collection techniques used are direct observation techniques, measurement techniques, and documentation techniques as well as data collection tools namely guidelines or observation sheets poetry skills tests and documents.The results of data analysis show that the average pre-test experimental class with a total score of 69.38 while the post-test 76.38 and the pre-test control class with a total score of 60.96 while the post-test 66.88 and there is influence with evidence scores 1.13 and 1.28.The results of this study are expected to be useful for readers, especially Indonesian Language teachers in Lumar 1 Junior High School, Bengkayang Regency, students and subsequent researchers who use mind mapping learning object models. For teachers this mind mapping learning model can be used as a reference for teaching in class, especially in learning to write poetry. Keywords: Mind Mapping, Writing Poetry
