Abstract: The number of refugees and asylum seekers in Indonesia continues to increase. During the process of finding a solution, many things happen in their lives that have an impact on psychology. This study focuses on the psychological well-being of refugees seeking asylum in transit countries. This study used qualitative research methods. A purposive sampling technique was conducted to determine six subjects, consisting of groups of unaccompanied adolescents, heads of families, and single mothers. Data obtained through interview and observation methods. The reason the researchers used this research technique was to dig deeper into the psychological well-being aspects of refugees seeking asylum in transit countries. The results showed that age and positive social support greatly affected the psychological well-being of the unaccompanied adolescent group and the head of the family, while the lack of social support for the single mother group subject made the subject experience low psychological well-being. Indonesian Abstract. Jumlah pengungsi dan pencari suaka di Indonesia terus meningkat. Selama proses penemuan solusi, banyak hal terjadi dalam hidup mereka yang berdampak pada dampak psikologis. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kesejahteraan psikologis pengungsi pencari suaka di negara transit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik purposive sampling dilakukan untuk menentukan enam subjek, yang terdiri dari kelompok remaja tanpa pendamping, kepala keluarga, dan ibu tunggal. Data diperoleh melalui metode wawancara dan observasi. Alasan peneliti menggunakan teknik penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali lebih dalam aspek kesejahteraan psikologis pengungsi pencari suaka di negara transit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usia dan dukungan sosial yang positif sangat mempengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis subjek kelompok remaja tanpa pendamping dan kepala keluarga, sedangkan kurangnya dukungan sosial pada subjek kelompok single mother membuat subjek mengalami kesejahteraan psikologis. rendah.

This study aims to determine the effect of social stigma perception and social support on psychological wellbeing on prisoners. perceptions of social stigma and social support as independent variables and psychological well-being of dependent variables. Subjects were 140 prisoners who underwent half of prisoners in prisons class II A kediri with age range 20 to 37 years. The random sampling technique is used as the subject taking method. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis and data collection using scale psychological well being scale (PWBS), perceived social stigmatization (STS) and Multidimensional scale of perceived social support (MSPSS). The results showed that social stigma perception with psychological well-being had negative and significant influence with value (? = -.514, p = 0,000), social support gave influence to psychological welfare with value (? = 0.422, P = 0.000), perception social stigma and social support together have an influence on psychological well-being with value (F = 54,339, P = 0,000)


Social support is an important resource which facilitates coping and raises the quality of life. This study examines how different forms of social support are perceived by the visually impaired individuals living in Turkey (positive or negative), and the impact on these individuals’ psychological well-being. This qualitative phenomenological study is conducted by semi-structured interview techniques and 21 visually impaired and volunteer (11 female, 10 male) adults over 18 years (M = 28, SD = 6,34) who live in Ankara participated in the study. Data were analysed using thematic content analysis. There were 4 main themes: Centrality of the sighted world, negative social support, positive social support, and accessibility. The most frequently repeated sub themes were gathered under the main themes of negative social support and centrality of the sighted world; the majority of the participants mentioned the effect of living independently. Moreover, the lack of information in society and the negative effects of interference under the will to help are frequently mentioned. On the other hand, the sub themes of mutual support, perceiving blindness as a difference, not a deficiency were presented under the main theme of positive social support. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran celebrity worship dan psychological well being pada wanita dewasa awal penggemar Korean Pop di Kota Samarinda. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, serta penentuan responden melalui screening menggunakan celebrity attitude scale (CAS). Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah empat orang. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa keempat subjek memenuhi unsur keterikatan emosi dalam tingkat celebrity worship intense personal feeling namun tidak menunjukkan pemikiran obsesif dan perilaku neurotik yang dapat menghambat keseharian masing-masing subjek. Perilaku celebrity worship dari keempat subjek sebagai penggemar Kpop memunculkan beberapa aspek psychological well being yang dapat tergambar secara optimal. Tergambarnya aspek-aspek psychological well being ini dipengaruhi dari faktor keterampilan sosial dan kepribadian ketika menjadi penggemar Kpop. This study was aimed to know how is the celebrity worship and psychological well-being of an early adulthood Korean Pop fangirl in Samarinda City. This study is a phenomenology qualitative study. The data collection methodology used were interview, observation, documentation and also used screening to choose  the respondents by using celebrity attitude scale (CAS). The sampling technique was used purposive sampling. The subjects in this study were four subjects. The results of the study that are obtained showed that the four of subject fulfilled emotional attachment elements of celebrity worship intense personal feeling level, but did not showed obsessive thinking and neurotic behavior that hampered each subjects daily life. The celebrity worship behavior of the four subjects as Kpop fans raised several aspects of psychological well being that can be described optimally. The description of psychological well being aspects is influenced by social skills and personality factors when the subjects becoming a Kpop fans.

The number of working mothers has increased significantly in the last decade. Working mothers have a dual role, as caregivers of children and earn a living. The role of a worker adds to the burden and affects the psychological well-being of the mother. Psychological well-being is an indicator of an individual's mental health. Social support are important factors in the psychological well-being of working mothers. The purpose of this study was to analyze relationship between social support and psychological well-being of working mothers. This research used correlational cross sectional study design. 374 working mother in Sidoarjo East Java were taken using accidental sampling technique. Variable was measured using Multidimentional Scale of Perceived Social Support questionair and Ryff’s Scale Psychological Well-Being questionair. Variables were analyzed by pearson correlation. The result of this research showed that social support have significant correlation with psychological well-being (p value 0,000). These results explain the importance of social support factors in improving the psychological well-being of working mothers.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara psychological well being dengan loneliness pada lansia yang memilih hidup melajang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah lansia laki-laki yang berusia di atas 50 tahun yang memilih untuk hidup melajang dan berada di wilayah Jawa Timur. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan purposive sampling technique, dengan kriteriasebagai berikut: lansia laki-laki berusia lebih dari 45 tahun (middle age) yang melajang dengan alasan hidup selibat dengan Tuhan. Alat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan the Ryff scale of psychological well-being dan UCLA loneliness scale. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi product moment dari pearson. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang negatif signifikan antara psychological well being dengan loneliness pada lansia yang memilih melajang.

This study aimed to determine the corelation between forgiveness to psychological well-being in teenagers whose living in orphanages. Subject were obtained 172 adolescents who live in three orphanages in Pekanbaru by using purposive sampling technique that is 172. The Data were collected by using Psychological Well-being scale (Ryff) with reliability coefficient (0,885) and Thompson Heartland Forgiveness Scale (HFS) with reliability coefficient (0,839). The data analysis showed that there is a significant corelation between forgiveness and psychological well-being in teenagers whose living in the orphanages, with R= 0,790, and p = 0,000 (p≤0,05). When teenagers willing to forgive themselves, the situation and others people, it will make the teenagers able to establish a good relationships and able to give meaning for their experienced during life in orphanage which is corelate in perceiving psychological well-being. The low level of forgiveness is corelate with high psychological well-being. To improve the level of psychological well-being, teenegers must have to continue improving his or her own forgiveness, whether for forgiveness of self, others, or the situation.

Abstract : Psychological Well-being is a full achievement of one's psychological potential and a situation when individuals can accept their own strengths and weaknesses as they are, have life goals, develop positive relationships with others, become independent individuals, able to control the environment, and continue to grow personally . The Purpose of this study was to find out whether there was a correlation between religiosity and psychological well-being in patients with diabetes mellitus at the Husada Kimia Farma Sario Manado Clinic. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique that is as many as 70 people who meet the inclusion criteria. The research design used was a cross sectional study and data collected from respondents used a religiosity questionnaire and psychological well-being. The results of the Spearman Rho statistical test obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.570 (with a value of p = 0,000) which means the value of p <α (0.05). Conclution of this research hypothesis was accepted, this shows that there’s a correlation between religiosity and psychological well-being in patients with diabetes mellitus at the Husada Kimia Farma Sario Manado Clinic. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan religiusitas dengan kesejahteraan psikologis pada penderita diabetes mellitus di klinik husada kimia farma sario manado. Sampel diambil dengan teknik pengambilan purposive sampling yaitu sebanyak 70 orang yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Desain Penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross sectional study dan data dikumpulkan dari responden menggunakan kuesioner religiusitas dan kesejahteraan psikologis. Hasil Penelitian uji statistik Spearman Rho diperoleh koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,570 (dengan nilai p= 0,000) yang berarti nilai p < α (0,05). Kesimpulan bahwa hipotesis penelitian diterima, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara religiusitas dengan kesejahteraan psikologis pada pasien dengan diabetes mellitus di Klinik Husada Kimia Farma Sario Manado.Kata Kunci : Religiusitas, Kesejahteraan Psikologis, Pasien Diabetes Mellitus

This study set out to investigate the effect of social support on the psychological well-being of academically stressed students in the University of Buea. The study was based on the premise that university students often come with a replete of academically stressed circumstances that often also lead to psychological breakdown. A major contention was that social support could serve as a major framework for the psychological wellbeing of such academically stressed students. We hypothesized that social support systems such as parent/family support, peer acceptance, teachers’ support and the availability of learning resources could lead to the psychological wellbeing of academically stressed students. The purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample size of 374 academically stressed students. The instrument used to collect data was the questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using the Spearman’s correlation test. The findings revealed that parent/family support (r=0.160; P=0.000), peer acceptance (r=0.140; P=0.000), teachers’ involvement (r= 0.205; P=0.000), and the availability of learning resources r= 0.417; P=0.000) affected the psychological well being of academically stressed students in the university of Buea. It was concluded that social support has a significant explanatory power over the psychological well-being of academically stressed students. In that case parents and significant others ought to spend time listening to students’ concerns and giving advice to those currently dealing with difficult issues.

Work and family are two domains where adults spend most of their time, and this can lead to role conflict. This study aimed to examine the correlation between social support and work-family enrichment with psychological well-being among married nurses. This research was quantitative study conducted through cross sectional design. The method used for data collection was questionnaires, including work-family enrichment, social support, and  psychological well-being questionnaires. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with the inclusion criteria was married nurses who have children. The participants of this study were 100 nurses at Gibran Medika Utama healthcare. The statistical analysis was done by using regression test. The results obtained were: (1) there was a significant correlation between social support and work-family enrichment with psychological well-being (F = 26 036; p 0.05; R square = 0.214), (2) social support had a significant correlation with psychological well-being (r=0.252, p 0.05), and (3) work-family enrichment had a significant correlation with psychological well-being (r 0.219; p 0.05).  Social support and work-family enrichment has significant correlation with psychological well-being, so it is suggested for the organization that it is necessary to conduct programs that consider work family balance. Further research is also suggested to involve other variables such as personality and life satisfaction.

Islamic boarding schools’ education has its own challenges, higher academic loads, longer duration, and other rules that need to be followed. Students' experiences in school will shape students' judgment of their school. Students’ judgment toward their school is defined as school well-being. Researches said that social support has roles in several school well-being dimensions. But there is no research linking social support with a whole school well-being’s dimension. In addition, studies on social support variables (parents, teachers, and peers) and school well-being in the context of Islamic boarding schools are still limited. This study examines the role of parents’, peer groups’, and teachers’ social support in X Islamic Boarding School regarding student’s School Well-Being. This quantitative research, with purposive sampling technique, include 115 teenagers who live in X boarding school. X Islamic boarding school is a modern Islamic boarding school, accredited with C grade, and most of the students come from disadvantaged families. Subject’s average age is 17 years old with (33.9%) boys and (66.1%) girls. Data analysis was done with correlation and regression descriptive statistics. The main result of the research shows that parent’s, peer groups’, and teacher’s social support have no role in X boarding school student’s school well-being (F=0,785, p=0,505>0,05). Further researches data shows parent’s support, peer groups’ support, teacher’s support and school well-being in X Islamic boarding school classified as quiet high. Although, dimension having and being, classified as quiet low. Furthermore, there are parents’, peer groups’ and teachers’ social support role in school well-being’s loving dimension. Pendidikan pesantren memiliki tantangan tersendiri, seperti beban akademis yang lebih tinggi, waktu yang lebih panjang, dan berbagai peraturan yang harus dijalankan. Pengalaman siswa di sekolah akan membentuk penilaian siswa terhadap sekolahnya. Penilaian siswa akan sekolahnya disebut school well-being. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan dukungan sosial memiliki peran dalam beberapa dimensi dalam school well-being. Namun belum ada penelitian yang menghubungkan dukungan sosial dengan school well-being secara menyeluruh. Selain itu kajian mengenai varibel dukungan sosial (orangtua, guru, dan teman sebaya) dan school well-being dalam konteks pesantren atau sekolah asrama masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji peran dukungan sosial orangtua, teman sebaya, dan guru terhadap school well-being di pesantren X. Sebanyak 115 remaja menjadi sampel diambil dengan purposive sampling yang berasal dari pesantren X. Pesantren X adalah pesantren modern, terakreditasi C, dan sebagian besar siswa adalah kaum dhuafa. Rerata subyek adalah 17 tahun dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki (33,9%) dan perempuan (66,1%). Analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik deskriptif, uji korelasi, dan regresi. Hasil utama penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat peran dukungan sosial orangtua, teman sebaya, dan guru terhadap school well-being pada siswa pesantren X (F=0,785, p=0,505>0,05). Hasil penelitian tambahan menunjukkan gambaran dukungan orangtua, dukungan teman sebaya, dukungan guru, dan school well-being pesantren X tergolong cukup tinggi. Namun pada gambaran dimensi having dan being torgolong cukup rendah. Selanjutnya, terdapat peran dukungan sosial orangtua, dukungan sosial teman, dan dukungan sosial guru terhadap dimensi loving pada variabel school well-being.
