Millions of Muslims from around the world including Bangladesh pour perform Hajj every year. Being the largest gathering of the Muslims, the Hajj has got immense socio-economic and cultural impacts on every Muslim society as well as Bangladesh. Hajj develops a unique symbol of unity, equality, universality, co-existence, brotherhood, indiscrimination, peace and tolerance, through performing common rituals, among the individuals, societies and nations belonging to different races, castes, ethnicities, colors, and languages, which create differences in everyday life of human beings. Bangladeshi Hajjis’ views towards women are more positive as gender interaction is a natural part of Hajj, while it is uncommon in the country. The positive teachings of Hajj particularly of pure Aqidah, produced several revolutionary movements in Bengal such as the Faraidi movement of Hajji Shariatullah with the aim of purifying Muslim society from superstitious Aqidah and practices. Hajj works as a social platform of getting together for Bangladeshi people at Makkah and Madinah. Hajj has developed the private tour operating industries in Bangladesh to facilitate the Hajjis. Transaction of billions of dollars takes place commercially during Hajj, while many commodities are exchanged informally. The Hajjis enjoy a very special dignity and status in the society of Bangladesh. Hajj creates an inter-cultural amalgamation combining various elements of different cultures particularly of Arabian. Hajj increases knowledge of the Hajjis both experimental and theoretical through various means. Bangladeshi Hajjis consider Hajj as the preparation for death; and thus try to remain isolated from the worldly activities and observe the religious duties strictly. This transformative property enables the Hajjis to pursue a more purified life and they become a model of spirituality and religiosity. Hajj not only moulds the Hajjis into sincere and practicing Muslims, but also the society at large with their honesty and piety. Thus, Hajj brings immense impacts on the society, economy, education, religiosity and culture of Bangladesh. This chapter is aimed at analyzing the socio-economic and religio-cultural impacts of Hajj on the society of Bangladesh. It also included the perspectives of the society with a view to better understanding the influence of Hajj on the Hajjis, non-Hajjis and the society at large.

Abstract: This paper highlights similarities and different features of the category of kinesics “hand gestures”, its frequency usage and acceptance by different individuals in two different cultures. This study shows its similarities, differences and importance of the gestures, for people in both cultures. Consequently, kinesics study was mentioned as a main part of body language. As indicated in the article, the study kinesics was not presented in the Kyrgyz culture well enough, though Kyrgyz people use hand gestures a lot in their everyday life. The research paper begins with the common definition of hand gestures as a part of body language, several handshake categories like: the finger squeeze, the limp fish, the two-handed handshake were explained by several statements in the English and Kyrgyz languages. Furthermore, this article includes definitions and some idioms containing hand, shake, squeeze according to the Oxford and Academic Dictionary to show readers the figurative meanings of these common words. The current study was based on the books of writers Allan and Barbara Pease “The definite book of body language” 2004, Romana Lefevre “Rude hand gestures of the world”2011 etc. Key words: kinesics, body language, gestures, acoustics, applause, paralanguage, non-verbal communication, finger squeeze, perceptions, facial expressions. Макаланын максаты болуп “колдордун жандоо кыймылынын” мааниси, айырмасы жана эки маданиятта колдонулушу эсептелет. Ошону менен бирге, вербалдык эмес сүйлѳшүүнүн бѳлүгү болуп эсептелген “кинесика” илими каралган. Берилген макалада кѳрсѳтүлгѳндѳй, “кинесика” илими кыргыз маданиятында толугу менен изилденген эмес, ошого карабастан “кинесика” илиминин бѳлүгү болуп эсептелген “колдордун жандоо кыймылы” кыргыз элинин маданиятында кѳп колдонулат. В данной статье рассматриваются сходства и различия “жестикуляции” и частота ее использования, в американской и кыргызской культурах. Следовательно, здесь было упомянуто понятие “кинесика” как основная часть языка тела. Как указано в статье, “кинесика” не была представлена в кыргызской культуре достаточно хорошо, хотя кыргызский народ часто использует жестикуляцию в повседневной жизни. Исследовательская работа начинается с общего определения “жестикуляции” как части языка тела и несколько категорий жестикуляции, таких как: сжатие пальца, слабое рукопожатие, рукопожатие двумя руками, были объяснены несколькими примерами на английском и кыргызском языках. Кроме того, эта статья включает определения слов “рука”, “рукопожатие”, “сжатие” и некоторые идиомы, содержащие данных слов согласно Оксфордскому и Академическому словарю, чтобы показать читателям их образное значение. Данное исследование было основано на книгах писателей Аллана и Барбары Пиз «Определенная книга языка тела» 2004 года, Романа Лефевра «Грубые жестикуляции мира» 2011 года и т.д. Ключевые слова: кинесика, язык жестов, жесты, акустика, аплодисменты, паралингвистика, невербальная коммуникация, сжатие пальца, чувство восприятия, выражение лиц.

A social language could reflect culture which is correspondent and its manners show in the contents of words and vocabulary. The same to the animal words what contains rich and profound cultural customs of various nationalities and reflects the philosophical and cultural mentality of all ethnic groups profoundly.In the course of the development of human history, animals keep in touch with human beings. Many animals yet have been being human beings’ pets and friends. Many animals have formed a certain symbol in the minds of people, and are embodied in the language. Animal words are also forming a specific meaning in these processes. There are abundant words in English and Chinese with large number of animals as a metaphor. The cultural diversity of all nations around the world causes people to have different emotional attitudes towards animals in the different cultures, thus, the meaning of animal vocabulary is different in different cultures. It’s helpful to improve the communicative competence of English for the understanding of the cultural connotations of English and Chinese. To promote English learning and intercultural communication is of great practical significance.

The community of inmates children as a unique and unique social system is difficult to understand when viewed only from the outside, so it is necessary to systematically attempt to know the values, norms, relationships, and objectives-through where and with what they are living, and understand both their own experiences and the world in which they liveThe situational system of the inmates children as human beings (although in this case is the child) to be fostered, is one of the important elements in the whole process of assistance in the Penitentiary is no exception to the Children Penitentiary in Kutoarjo. The entire penitentiary system design, from the assistance program, the assistance mechanism, and the assistance implementation, is actually determined by the circumstances and the reality of the people who are to be fostered, the inmates.The reality of the children inmates who are always on the "social order" in their various communities is essentially constantly changing. Specifically, this study finds links between: the institutional reality of a children penitentiary, which includes the factual circumstances concerning facilities and infrastructure, and the administrative aspects of KutoarjoChildren Penitentiary. The reality of the member of KutoarjoChildren Penitentiaryin the form of identified number of occupants, placement systems, and formal and informal groupings of the targeted children in addition to the build and formed a community of the assisted children in KutoarjoChildren Penitentiary and the basic elements of the Social System of the Auxiliaries in all the community of assisted children and etc.As Soerjono Sukanto said that even though human "convicts" live in a confined state, they instinctively want to interact with fellow inmates. This instinct is referred to as "gregariousness" (Soekanto: 1998: 73), which in the last instance will give birth to so-called "social groups". In this context created social structure, social system, norms and so on.

COVID-19, coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) infection has become pandemic after first appearing in Wuhan, China in December 2019. It destroyed the life of millions of people throughout the different parts of Europe, America, Asia and others in the world. Various groups of scientists throughout the globe have claimed on trialing for the corona vaccine and for finding out suitable medication for the treatment of COVID-19. No vaccine or medicines are successfully reported to short out the issue for saving the valuable life of human beings, till date. The mechanism of SARS-CoV-2 infection and organ invasion are not understood and it creates difficulty in clinical diagnosis and treatment of corona patients. The pathogenic mechanism of SARS-CoV-2 infection is not very much clear and it may invade multiple organ systems of respiratory, digestive and hematological in a confirmed case. The impact of corona virus outbreak on the global and Indian health systems is also reviewed herewith.

Abstract Background: The number of people aged 80 years and above is projected to triple over the next 30 years. People in this age group normally have at least two chronic conditions. The impact of multimorbidity is often significantly greater than expected from the sum of the effects of each condition. The World Health Organization has indicated that healthcare systems must prepare for a change in the focus of clinical care for older people. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines healthcare quality as care that is effective, efficient, integrated, patient centered, equitable and safe. The degree to which healthcare quality can be defined as acceptable is determined by services’ ability to meet the needs of users and adapt to patients’ expectations and perceptions.Method: We took a phenomenological perspective to explore older patients’ subjective experiences and conducted semistructured individual interviews. Eighteen patients (aged from 82 to 100 years) were interviewed twice after discharge from hospital. The interview transcriptions were analyzed thematically.Results: The patients found their meetings with the health service to be complex and demanding. They reported attempting to restore a sense of security and meaning in everyday life, balancing their own needs against external requirements. Five overarching themes emerged from the interviews: hospital stay and the person behind the diagnosis, poor communication and coordination, life after discharge, relationship with their next of kin, and organizational and systemic determinants.Conclusion: According to the WHO, to deliver quality healthcare, services must include all six of the dimensions listed above. Our findings show that they do not. Healthcare focused on measurable values and biomedical inquiries. Few opportunities for participation, scant information and suboptimal care coordination left the patients with a feeling of being in limbo, where they struggled to find balance in their everyday life. Further work must be done to ensure that integrated services are provided without a financial burden, centered on the needs and rights of older people.

This book is a personalized search by the author for a reconciliation between the "Islamic ideal" and the vast variety of ethnically, economically, politically and socially diverse muslim societies the world over. The research is conducted with reference to "six socia-historical categories", which constitute for the author "a theory of Islamic History". These are: 1. the time of the Prophet and the ideal caliphs (Le., the fIrst four caliphs called Rashidun); 2. the Arab dynasties (meaning the Umayyads and the Abbasids); 3. the three muslim empires (or the Ottomans, the Saffavids and the Mughals); 4. Islam of the periphery (referring to societies in which muslims are in minority, nameiy, the USSR, China, Southeast Asia and South of the Sahara in Africa); 5. Islam under European rule (Le., under the impact of colonization by England, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy on ''muslim society"); and 6. contemporary Islam. (p. 33).

COVID-19 has totally changed the way that we live, and it also changed the way we work. It changed the way all the businesses run. Many of the businesses today either shut down due to lack of technological performance or the others moved towards the online mode to sustain the market. During the time of this pandemic, the businesses had no choice other than to shift to online mode. Some of the businesses operate offline, and it was not possible for them to shift online in a very short time due to lack of technology, lack of knowledge, etc. They faced much difficulty to operate their business smoothly. So, the impact of technology during the COVID-19 pandemic played a very important role throughout the world. When this pandemic was at its peak, technology became a lifeline of the human beings. This chapter shows the trend of digital technology during the COVID-19 pandemic and some innovations during this pandemic.

The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic is an external shock that has disrupted the foundations of everyday life. For cosmopolitan entrepreneurs, the impact is even more decisive as it confronts their core values and jeopardises their identities, ways of working and the lifestyles they cherish. Cosmopolitans are individuals who identify themselves as citizens of the world and voluntarily move from country to country in pursuit of self-fulfilment in both life and work. Cosmopolitan entrepreneurs are future-oriented and open to the world and the opportunities it may provide. Beyond securing, maintaining and improving their professional and/or economic positions, their mobility is an elementary part of the cosmopolitan life itself, something they find attractive, interesting and stimulating. Thus, a cosmopolitan entrepreneur’s business is often non-location-bound to enable continued mobility. With our interview-based research, we shed light on how COVID-19 has changed the lives of Finnish-born cosmopolitan entrepreneurs, discussing what they feel about the changes and how they see their future.

Wheat is one of the most important cereals in the world and the bread made of its flour belongs to the everyday life of human  mankind.The Hungarian standard relating to the laboratory production of wheat flour (MSZ 6367/9-1989) does not mention the type of laboratory mill used for milling, and it only builds up some general criteria, such as: the laboratory mill should be provided  with four differently nicked barrels, a sieve with appropriate hole sizes, and also with the separated collections of the pilot flour and the bran. Our study was started at this point and the answers for the following questions were aimed to be found: do the flour patterns studied and produced with different sieving techniques, widely used in laboratory mills of the same wheat pattern show any alterations after the impact of the formula production as regards chemical constitutions. Various flours of the wheat pattern sieved with different particle sizes were studied in this experiment. In producing this pattern we used FQC109 type of mill. There were 5 different corn sizes of 250-200; 200-160; 160-125; 125-100; <100 μms used in the partition of the fractions. The results this research confirm that the quality of wheat flour can be modified by different methods of pattern production.

Denne artikel undersøger, på baggrund af et feltarbejde blandt unge klimaak- tivister på den københavnske vestegn, hvorledes aktivisterne forholdt sig til de moralske og eksistentielle aspekter af de såkaldt menneskeskabte klimaforan- dringer. Artiklen beskriver og analyserer aktivisternes forståelse af begreberne „natur“, „miljø“ og „klima“ som udtryk for et komplekst og situationelt natursyn, der strækker sig som et kontinuum mellem den selvberoende natur og den men- neskeskabte natur som yderpoler, og med klimaet som omfattende hele spændet. Begreberne og de medfølgende natursyn bliver belyst som narrativer, der praktise- res blandt de unge i den modernistiske og planlagte by, Albertslund. I accept af de menneskeskabte klimaforandringer som et faktum udvider aktivisterne deres allerede indlejrede, miljøbevidste normer og praksisser til en egentlig økologisk kosmologi, der henviser til naturen som en fuldstændigt integreret cyklus af levende væseners, herunder menneskers, og fysiske mekanismers reciprokke forhold af påvirkninger og stofudvekslinger. An Anthropological Study of Climate Activists’ Comprehensive Idea of Nature This article inquires into how young climate activists in a Copenhagen suburb came to terms with the moral and existential issues raised by their changing perceptions of their own agency in climate change. The article describes and analyzes how they perceive of “nature”, “environment” and “climate” and how their perceptions are inscribed in narratives of everyday life in planned suburban surroundings. As they became convinced of their own part in climate change, they expanded already embodied environmental norms and practises into articulated climate awareness and an organic cosmology. Within this organic cosmology “environment” and “climate” are regarded as systems of inter-dependent cycles including human beings, and this model of the world is easily transformed into changed social practices, such as saving energy. When transformed into climate awareness these cycles include the entire globe. In addition to this cyclic perception of “environment” and “climate”, the activists practice a perception of “nature” in a dichotomous relation to “culture”. This perception enabled them to act in a moral way on behalf of “nature”, even though it was logically inconsistent with the cyclic perception of “environment”. I argue that these perceptions of “nature”, “environment” and “climate” formed a continuum, and that the activists practised them in various ways, dependent on context. The article accounts for their capacity to act on the threats they saw in climate changes.Keywords: Climate change, cosmology, perceptions of nature, activists, nature- culture dichotomy, cycle
