Facilities management is one of the important aspects that need to be considered in every educational institution. Literature shows that good management of the facilities in an educational institution can affect students’ learning process and subsequently impact the students’ academic achievement. Thus, the educational institution must critically understand how to manage the facilities well. The purpose of this research is to investigate the management of various facilities and how it impacts students’ academic achievement. This research was carried out in Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Perlis with the main objective to investigate the management of facilities such as e-learning facility, classroom, library, and hostels and whether they have any effect on the students’ academic achievement. Data was collected using questionnaires which were distributed to 217 students. Data were then analyzed using SPSS software and a few analyses were carried out such as descriptive analysis, correlations, and regression analysis. The results have shown that three areas of the facilities have a significant impact on students’ academic achievement while only one area does not have a significant impact on students’ academic achievement. The results of this study could be used by an educational institution to better plan and manage their facilities and subsequently help students to increase their academic achievement.

Barriers that may constitute difficulties in employing e-learning using a quantitative approach have been studied using a questionnaire consisting of four areas (individual difficulties, context difficulties, technology difficulties, difficulties with the chemistry approach), and based on the results of the correlative and influential study of the questionnaire for the random sample that reached (724) among which are teachers, supervisors and students from the Libyan high schools Nalut Libyan, the conceptual framework for the study community was built, through descriptive analysis using statistical analysis spss version (21.0) to identify the degree of difficulties of e-learning in teaching chemistry, and on laboratories To link Pearson Pearson Test to identify the degree of correlation between all the difficulties as well as the study used regression analysis Multiple Multiple Regression Analysis to identify the impact strength of difficulties. The study, which was derived from the analysis of the survey data, found a correlation between the difficulties of (contexts, technology and curriculum) and individual difficulties, and the presence of an influence correlation between the difficulties of each (contexts, technology and curriculum) and individual difficulties. Numerous studies have investigated the impact of self-esteem and intelligence on academic achievement. The findings are generally inconsistent. The aim of this study was to understand the relationship between intelligence, self-esteem and academic achievement among young people in Kosovo. It was a quantitative cross-sectional study. The sample consisted of 1856 participants, aged 10-18 years old (Mage = 15.29, SD = 1.76). Participants completed the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale and The Raven Standard Progressive Matrices. Grade Point Average (GPA) was used to measure academic achievement. Data processing was done with SPSS 21.0 and Microsoft Excel 2013. Participants according to self-reported academic achievement were classified as follows: fail (0.1%), sufficient (2%), good (15.6%), very good (26.7%) and excellent (55.7%). As regards self-esteem participants were classified as follows: low self-esteem (26.9%), and normal self-esteem (73.1%). A significant positive correlation was found between academic achievement and intelligence (r = .31; p = .00) but not between achievement and self-esteem. This significant correlation resulted for both genders separately. The Mann-Whitney test found significant differences in academic achievement between genders and between groups with high intelligence and those with normal intelligence. Intelligence, but not self-esteem revealed a significant relationship with academic achievement. Future studies on the topic might focus on explanatory factors or the possibility of interaction of other variables related to academic achievement.

This study is a mixed method design which employed both quantitative and qualitative methods in order to investigate the impact of dialogic learning on students’ attention and academic achievement. Data were collected using several instruments, including: the Attention Network Test; academic performance tests and semi-structured interviews. Results of Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) indicated that there is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of students of the experimental and control groups on the executive control in favor of the experimental group after controlling the IQ score and pre-test scores. Further, there is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of student of the experimental and control groups on the academic achievement tests (except of mathematics) in favor of the experimental group. The qualitative data also supported the quantitative findings. Therefore, dialogic teaching has significantly greater and more positive changes on some aspects of attention and academic performance.
