Weak supervision and security during and after natural disasters have created new problems. Crime of theft is now rife at the time and after natural disasters. This study aims to determine the government's role in preventing theft during and after natural disasters in the city of Palu. This research is an empirical legal research with a criminological approach. The study was conducted in Palu City, Central Sulawesi. Mosiulika Mosijagai is the Kaili Ledo language in the city of Palu, Central Sulawesi Province. Mosiulika means "Say / say," Mosijagai means "Beware, be careful." In the assessment of skills, the "Mosiulika Mosijagai" method is still used. There are two things that are assessed, namely typing speed and typing accuracy. Of the 30 students tested, there were 19 (63.33%) students who completed, which reached a speed of ≥ 200 EPM as many as 8 (26.67%). In terms of typing accuracy, of the 30 students who were tested, all of them were complete, and those who reached ≥ 99% accuracy were 5 (16.67%). Classical completeness is 100% and classical absorption is 96.13%. The results of the knowledge assessment with the Plickers application are, of the 23 students who took the test with 14 questions that were displayed, there were 11 values ranging from 0 to 50. Only 2 students were able 50% answered questions, there were even students who did not answer correctly or in other words the acquisition was 0%. Classical completeness and classical absorption for typing speed and the realm of knowledge have not been achieved. This is due to constraints due to the lack of learning time in post-natural disasters, while increasing speed requires sufficient time to increase the number of exercises. As for the incompleteness in the realm of knowledge because students as survivors, who have not fully recovered from trauma, still find it difficult to fully concentrate on the subject matter.

Abstract Sixth century Antioch is perhaps the best example of state-city resilience in Late Antiquity. Over the century, the city suffered multiple natural disasters, civil strife and external conflict. Scholars have generally accepted that the city declined as a result. This study integrates historical, archaeological and scientific data to illuminate the city’s fate. It concludes that Antioch demonstrated remarkable resilience at the city level throughout the 6th c. The most important factor was the continuous support the city received from the central government.

On 4 September 2010, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck near Darfield, 40 kilometres west of Christchurch, New Zealand. The quake caused significant damage to land and buildings nearby, with damage extending to Christchurch city. On 22 February 2011, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck Christchurch, causing extensive and significant damage across the city and with the loss of 185 lives. Years on from these events, occasional large aftershocks continue to shake the region. Two main entomological collections were situated within close proximity to the 2010/11 Canterbury earthquakes. The Lincoln University Entomology Research Collection, which is housed on the 5th floor of a 7 storey building, was 27.5 km from the 2010 Darfield earthquake epicentre. The Canterbury Museum Entomology Collection, which is housed in the basement of a multi-storeyed heritage building, was 10 km from the 2011 Christchurch earthquake epicentre. We discuss the impacts of the earthquakes on these collections, the causes of the damage to the specimens and facilities, and subsequent efforts that were made to prevent further damage in the event of future seismic events. We also discuss the wider need for preparedness against the risks posed by natural disasters and other catastrophic events.
