This chapter turns to the increasingly active role of constitutional courts. These courts have established themselves—not without reservations and challenges—as an essential vector of the push for greater reflexivity. For a long time the United States, India, and the German Federal Republic stood out as exceptions because of their traditional emphasis on judicial review. Now, however, constitutional courts of one sort or another are at the heart of democratic government everywhere. Indeed, some scholars go so far as to discern a veritable “resurrection” of constitutional thought. It is noteworthy that these new constitutional courts on the whole receive strong support from the public, as numerous comparative surveys have shown, and they count among the most legitimate of democratic institutions.

AbstractThe term ‘ornamental plant’ refers to all plants with ornamental value, which generally have beautiful flowers or special plant architectures. China is rich in ornamental plant resources and known as the “mother of gardens”. Genomics is the science of studying genomes and is useful for carrying out research on genome evolution, genomic variations, gene regulation, and important biological mechanisms based on detailed genome sequence information. Due to the diversity of ornamental plants and high sequencing costs, the progress of genome research on ornamental plants has been slow for a long time. With the emergence of new sequencing technologies and a reduction in costs since the whole-genome sequencing of the first ornamental plant (Prunus mume) was completed in 2012, whole-genome sequencing of more than 69 ornamental plants has been completed in <10 years. In this review, whole-genome sequencing and resequencing of ornamental plants will be discussed. We provide analysis with regard to basic data from whole-genome studies of important ornamental plants, the regulation of important ornamental traits, and application prospects.

Dendrobium as ornamental plants that are used as cut flowers, potted plants, wreaths, garden ornament has a high economic value (due to the type, beauty, shape, texture, flower size, and rarity), has a broad market opportunities, sources of germplasm as mains to cross in order to get new varieties, and to cultivate them do not require large tracts of land. to get orchid production which is reached with good cultivation, one of them is by using fertilizers and growth regulators (PGR) to obtain growth and good flowering of orchids. This study was conducted to answer the following questions: (1) Which type of foliar fertilizer that can generate the best response to the growth and flowering of orchid Dendrobium, (2) how the effect of benzyladenine (BA) on the growth and flowering of orchid Dendrobium, (3) whether there is an interaction between foliar fertilizers and provision of benzyladenine (BA) to influence the growth and flowering of orchid Dendrobium. The research conducted in the greenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung from January to June 2014. The experiments were carried out with a complete randomized block design with three replications. The treatments arranged in factorial (2x5). The first factor of 2 types of fertilizers, was (NPK 20-15-15) and (NPK 10-40-15). The second factor is the various concentrations of BA are: 0, 100, 200, 300, and 400 mg/l. based on data and discussion of experimental results that have been raised, it can be concluded as follows: Gandasil fertilizer (NPK 20-15-15) and Hyponex (NPK 10-40-15), had no effect on the growth and flowering of plants Dendrobium hybrids indicated by a variable percentage of plants to germinate, the number of new shoots, the height of new shoots, the increase of leaf pseudo stem diameter, and the percentage of flowering plants. Application of benzyladenine (BA) on the concentration of 100-400 mg / l, can stimulate flowering orchid hybrid Dendrobium, which is indicated by an increase in the percentage of flowering from 60.50 to 64.83%. Application of BA on the concentration of 100-400 mg / l had no effect on the percentage of ornamental plants whis have new sprout, and the number and the height of new shoots. There is no interaction between the two types of NPK (20-15-15 and 10-40-15), with concentrations of BA in influencing all observed variables. Keywords: Dendrobium, Two kinds of completed fertelizers, Benzyladenine, flowering

Aglonema is a plant that is widely cultivated by ornamental plant lovers, because it has various species with varied and beautiful leaf patterns. Aglonema cultivation can be a business opportunity in agriculture because aglonema plants are in great demand but also because the prices offered vary from hundreds of thousands to millions of rupiah. Aglonema plant care is quite easy and simple. However, the wrong aglonema plant care such as irregular watering, excessive fertilizer application, and the wrong plant placement can make plants grow less optimally or even die. Greenhouse is a building that was formed to avoid and treat plants against various kinds of weather. Weather is the state of the atmosphere in a place at a certain time related to air temperature, sunlight, wind, rain and other air conditions. Thus, the types of plants that are not in accordance with the local climate, such as ornamental plants, vegetables and fruit, which have high economic value but are difficult to cultivate in outdoor areas, can be cultivated through climate control in the greenhouse. Various benefits such as controlling air temperature, adjusting humidity levels, to the interval between watering times can be adjusted easily. Internet of things (IoT) is a concept or program where an object has the ability to transmit or transmit data over a network without using the help of computer and human devices. With this IoT, spraying insecticides at the Greehouse for aglonema plants can be done automatically
