<p>This study aims to (1) analyze the role of parents and teachers in developing children's character; (2) factors that influence children's character development; (3) the impact of the role of parents and teachers on the development of the character of children in SD Muhammadiyah Sapen. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. Data sources were obtained from the principal, class teacher, religious education teacher, committee chairman, and parents. Data collection is done through interviews, observation and documentation. Data was then analyzed by interactive models that followed the format of Miles &amp; Huberman, including: data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed that the role of parents and teachers as <em>role models </em>for children in attitude and personality, such as honesty, tolerance, discipline, responsibility, religion, and caring for others and the environment. Supporting factors are curriculum content standards, principal leadership, school community commitment, and involve the role of parents in school programs. While the inhibiting factor is the apathy of some parents and teachers, and the lack of parental knowledge about character education. The impact of the role of parents and teachers is: (1) Character values affect children's learning achievement, (2) The occurrence of behavioral changes that occur in children.</p>

<p>Abstract: THE PARENTS' ROLE IN EDUCATING CHILDREN SINCE<br />INFANCY IN THE FAMILY. The child is a boon and mandate entrusted by<br />God to His servant who will be asked for the responsibility in the Hereafter.<br />The obligation as a parent is to provide education to children starting from<br />an early age. The development of early childhood is strongly bound by the<br />environment and the family. This paper aims to describe the role of parents<br />to the education of children. The study in this paper uses literature study or<br />library research method. The result of this study is that family is the first<br />place where children get education. Children's character and personality is<br />formed first in the family. Parents should have a concept or provision in<br />educating their children that includes moral or character education,<br />science education, religious education, be fair to the children, and give<br />attention and affection to children. Parents become role models for their<br />children. Therefore, the role of parents is very important in the<br />development and formation of children's character from an early age.</p><p>Anak merupakan anugerah dan sekaligus amanah yang<br />dititipkan oleh Allah kepada hambaNya yang akan dimintai<br />pertanggungjawabannya di akhirat kelak. Kewajiban sebagai orang tua<br />adalah memberikan pendidikan kepada anak yang dimulai sejak usia<br />dini. Perkembangan pada anak usia dini sangat terikat oleh lingkungan<br />dan keluarganya. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjabarkan peran orang<br />tua terhadap pendidikan anak. Kajian dalam tulisan ini menggunakan<br />metode studi kepustakaan (library research). Hasil dari kajian ini yaitu<br />bahwa keluarga merupakan tempat pertama dimana anak memperoleh<br />pendidikan. Karakter dan kepribadian anak dibentuk pertama kali di<br />dalam keluarga. Orang tua hendaknya memiliki konsep atau ketentuan<br />dalam mendidik anaknya yang meliputi pendidikan moral atau karakter,<br />pendidikan ilmu pengetahuan, pendidikan ilmu agama, bersikap adil<br />terhadap anak, serta memberikan perhatian dan kasih sayang kepada<br />anak. Orang tua menjadi suri tauladan bagi anak-anaknya. Oleh sebab itu<br />peran orang tua sangatlah penting dalam perkembangan dan<br />pembentukan karakter anak sejak dini.</p>

Abstract In the article, we consider the impact of adolescence upon the usage of Polish in Polish-German bilinguals raised and living in Germany and demonstrate how adolescence surfaces as a socially based “critical period” in this usage using results from a survey and interviews conducted with 30 teenagers. In the quantitative part of the study, we seek to establish whether adolescents’ age affected the pattern and quantity of their usage of Polish in the media and contacts with age peers, whether the latter two facets of growing up with Polish were interrelated, and which other factors affected peer-relevant activities in Polish. Both age and peer contact turned out to significantly affect the use of the media in Polish, while peer contact in Polish was affected by the parental use of Polish in parent-child communication. The qualitative part presents the context and motivation for using Polish by the youths in peer-relevant activities. We integrate the results with insights provided by child development psychology from the perspective of language socialisation theory and interpret the age-related decline of interest in the Polish media as an effect of a diminishing role of parents and the increasing role of age peers as role models in personal development.

This article discusses the role of Christian religious education in families in the digital era to improve children's spirituality and morality. The digital era is an era where everything is instantaneous and fast. In this era, all human activities are carried out online, be it work activities, education and also worship. These online activities have both positive and negative impacts. By using a descriptive-analytical method,in this paper the author discusses the negative impact of online activities on children's spirituality and morality. Spirituas and morality are the main and foremost things for children's lives or things that are very basic for children. Therefore, parents have a very important role in the family to shape the spiritual and moral of the child because good or bad spiritual and moral children depend on the role of parents in the family. In the family, parents must play their role as the first and foremost role in improving children's spirituality and morality through the role of parents as teachers, educators, mentoring, motivators, and role models.

This research uses the nearing of qualitative research. Where researchers directly to collecting information related to the title of the study. The collection of data obtained from observation, interview, and documentation. As for the target of information are principal, waka kurikulum, waka student, teacher Citizenship Education, and the student of SMAN 9 Malang. Indicate thatthe results of research in Citizenship Education in SMAN 9 Malang loading about Character Education and devolep values’s character that exist in the state ideology that is Pancasila, strategic Citizenship Education teachers of SMAN 9 Malang are with model. Habituation or reinforcement. Evaluation is conducted by the Citizenship Education teacher at SMAN 9 are cognitive, affective and psychomotor student. Values in Citizenship Education also developed in school extracurriculier activities such as extracurricular activities paskibra in SMAN 9 Malang which also inserts character education such as discipline, responbility,independence, and nationalist. It’s just that in practice there are still constraints such as there are still a few of student who make mischief in school, many teacher and students who come school late. This study was aimed at revealing the role and the capital of parenting towards children in an effort to shape the character of tolerance and caring for the environment. The study used qualitative naturalistic research methods. The techniques of collecting data used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data then analyzed using interactive analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman. The results show that the role of parents in shaping the character of tolerance and caring for the environment through parents as motivators, as supervisors, as physical and spiritual protectors, as mentors, educating and as role models or role models to choose and shape children. The formation of the character of tolerance and caring for the children is given through debriefing skills to respect friends, stimulation activities, and positive habituation application. The pattern of positive habituation of parents is in the form of familiarizing children to do good activities. Parents provide firmness to the child's character of tolerance and caring for the environment. The model of parenting is applied as authoritarian parenting, democratic and situational.PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM KELUARGA MELALUI POLA ASUH ORANG TUAPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan peran dan modal pola asuh orang tua terhadap anak dalam upaya membentuk karakter toleransi dan peduli lingkungan. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif naturalistik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran orang tua dalam membentuk karakter toleransi dan peduli lingkungan dapat melalui orang tua sebagai motivator, sebagai pengawas, sebagai pelindung jasmani dan rohani, sebagai pembimbing, mendidik dan sebagai panutan atau role model untuk memilihara dan membentuk anak. Pembentukan karakter toleransi dan peduli lingkungan pada anak diberikan melalui pemberin bekal keterampilan untuk saling menghargai dengan sesama teman, orang tua membentuk kegiatan yang merangsang karakter toleransi dan peduli lingkungan, orang tua menerapkan pembiasaan yang positif. Pola pembiasaan positif orang tua dilakukan dengan membiasakan anak melakukan kegiatan yang baik. Orang tua memberikan ketegasan terhadap anak karakter toleransi dan peduli lingkungan. Model pola asuh orang tua yang diterapkan seperti pola asuh otoriter; demokratis dan situasional.

Parents and teachers are very influential in shaping the religious character of children both at home, at school, and in the community. Therefore, it is necessary to have the cooperation of parents and teachers in shaping the religious character of the child. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the parents' and teachers' roles in the management of Islamic Religious Education and Children's Character Education at SMP IT Al Istiqamah Global School Karawang. This study employs a qualitative methodology, collecting data through field observations, documentation studies, and interviews, and analyzing it using descriptive analysis. The study results indicate that parents are the basic foundation for the formation of children's behavior and morals to know the boundaries of good and evil. At the same time, the school/teacher acts as a relay or further stick in educating children so that Islamic characters are formed with good morals and morals. SMP IT Al Istiqamah Global School Karawang provides Islamic religious education and a good feeling by giving educational teaching; Improvement and consolidation of guidance and counseling programs in schools, and the development of school libraries as a center for student learning resources.

Islamic Education plays a strategic role in the strengthening of character education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Trends in automation, data exchange, Artificial intelligence, internet of things, 3D printing, robots and intelligent machines are massively replacing human labor. Disclosure of information access enables people receive a variety of information and can affect even change the character, way of thinking and behaving. Here, the role of Islamic Education as a facilitator who runs the cultural function and ideal function as a control value and steers the development of society. Strengthened with social reconstruction curriculum so that learning is more focused on the problems-problems encountered in the community so that students are able to adapt to the development of the modern world and highly competitive yet-holistic integrative religious character so as to fortify the morale of the nation's poor from the impact of globalization. Strengthening the Character Education through Islamic education has a significant contribution to the ideals of national education as a form of educational investment in creating a golden generation in the era of the global arena by establishing a balance hard skills and soft skills, which in turn will create a community culture of learning (learning society).

Leaders have a very significant role in preventive action efforts, the spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic in the surrounding environment, this is related to the analysis of the impact of holding weddings in the Covid-19 pandemic and the role of leaders as role models in implementing health protocols in the community. Data collection techniques are in the form of literacy studies from several scientific journal references and book sources that are adapted to events in the field. The purpose of this study is to see how the impact of holding a wedding party and the role of community leaders in Angkasa Pura Village is. So that through the character education provided and exemplified by the leader, it is hoped that the community in the village can comply with the Covid-19 pandemic health protocol in organizing weddings.

The current pandemic condition means that the learning process is carried out using a remote system. Children learn from home and are guided by their parents, the educational process must not stop even though it is a pandemic. With this, the role of parents at this time is prioritized especially in implementing character education for children during the distance learning period and parents are required to play their current role during the pandemic in implementing character education at home. This research is in the form of qualitative with the literature study method in finding related data and a descriptive-analytic process is carried out. The results of this study suggest three roles of parents in implementing character education, namely the role of parents as educators, motivators for their children, and providing strong role models. This needs to be done with strong intentions and a frequent habituation process.Keywords: Role, Parents, Education, CharacterAbstrakKondisi pandemi saat ini menjadikan proses pembelajaran dilakukan dengan sistem jarak jauh. Anak belajar dari rumah dan dibimbing oleh orang tuanya, proses pendidikan tidak boleh berhenti meskipun sedang masa pandemi. Dengan hal tersebut peran orang tua pada masa ini sangat diprioritaskan khusnya dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter kepada anak pada masa pembelajaran jarak jauh dan orang tua dituntut perannya saat ini dikala pandemi dalam pengimplementasian pendidikan karakter di rumah. Penelitian ini berbentuk kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka dalam menemukan data-data terkait dan dilakukan proses deskriptif analitik. Hasil pada penelitian ini mengemukakan tiga peran orang tua dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter yakni peran orang tua sebagai pendidik, motivator bagi anaknya dan memberikan keteladan yang kuat. Hal tersebut perlu dilakukan dengan niatan yang kuat dan proses pembiasaan yang sering dilakukan.Kata Kunci: Peran, Orang Tua, Pendidikan, Karakter

This article tries to adapt the concept of religious education curriculum in the family with Islamic perspectives whose main source comes from the thought of Islamic education scholars. Islam considers education in the family to be the oldest informal religious educational institution. The role of parents or families is very important to the successful education of the child, because the child has more time at home with his family. Religious education in the family is intended to shape children into human beings who believe and fear Allah SWT and have noble character and religious values that are carried out in daily life. Seeing how important the role of the family in educating children, a curriculum concept is needed as a reference for Muslim parents in educating their children. Thus, parents can guide their children by providing educational materials that suit the needs, ages, interests, and talents of children, as stated in Ibn Sina and al-Shaibani's thoughts on the concept of education in the family. Besides, aspects of the use of methods in educating children are important things to be considered by parents. Abdullah Nasih Ulwan offered methods that parents can use in educating children, including methods of role models (uswah hasanah), habituation methods, advice (mau’izah) methods, methods of attention, and methods of punishment.
