This study aims to determine the perceptions of users of transportation modes on language use at airports, stations, terminals, and ports in nine cities in Indonesia and to find out how far the application of language usage rules is applied to transportation modes. The method used in this study is a quantitative and descriptive qualitative approach. The research data is carried out by primary data collection in the field, namely the perception (view) of the users of transportation modes at airports, stations, terminals, and ports. The results of the study show that there are six cities (still dominant) agreeing on the use of Indonesian in the modes of air, sea, land and rail transportation. Then, there are two cities that even strongly agree on the use of Indonesian in the mode of transportation. Furthermore, there is one city that states that it is not agreeable to use Indonesian. Thus, perceptions of language users in transportation modes predominantly have high weight values. So, users of the transportation mode still have the concern to maintain or prioritize the use of Indonesian instead of foreign languages. Meanwhile, regional languages can also be used as a third language in the area rather than in the capital city.

This study aims to analyze the Jambi City community transportation modes' needs and diversity and influencing factors. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data comes from a sample of households in Jambi City. Meanwhile, secondary data comes from related agencies or institutions at the National, Provincial, and City of Jambi levels related to transportation macro conditions. This study uses descriptive statistical analysis to analyze the diversity of transportation modes used in Jambi City. Meanwhile, to analyze the factors that influence transportation mode choice, it is estimated using logit ordinal regression models. The analysis results found that the primary mode of transportation used by the Jambi City community was personal motorbikes. Public transportation is the second choice, and the use of private cars is the third option. The choice of transportation mode is influenced by gender, main activity, car ownership, motorcycle ownership, and household income.

Modelling the mode choice behaviours of travellers is a key to design effective transport management policies, particularly in shifting travellers to public transport. Abundant studies have analysed the impact of level of services on mode choice preferences through its Random Utility Maximization (RUM), but the possibility of minimalize the regret have been overlooked. This paper will discusses the possibility of using generalised Random Regret Minimization (G-RRM) model on choosing transportation modes. The study is performed in two cities for comparison: Jogjakarta in Indonesia and Matsuyama in Japan. A stated preference (SP) survey isconducted, in which respondents choose Bike or Bus under hypothetical situations. As the result of RUM revealed that travellers prefer the transportation mode with more ensuring level of service. While an empirical proof of concept, the G-RRM model is estimated on a stated mode choice dataset, and its outcomes are compared with RUM and RRM counterparts.

The mode of transportation is one very important factor in accelerating the socioeconomic growth of a region. Surabaya is the capital of East Java Province and is one of the largest cities on the island of Java. The city of Surabaya which bears as the capital provides a variety of infrastructure facilities in an effort to serve the community, especially in the field of transportation. Some of the modes of transportation that are developing in this city are trains and buses with routes in several small cities in East Java. In this study the authors wanted to know the characteristics of the community in the use of rail and bus transportation modes from the direction of Madiun-Surabaya. This study uses a questionnaire instrument with sampling techniques Solvin, Issac Michael and Morgan, then data analysis using descriptive models. From the results of the study, it is known that the characteristics of the community based on the price attribute mostly use bus transportation, based on the attribute of the timeliness of choosing a train and based on the hadway and the frequency tends to be the same.

Jakarta is increasingly improving its public transportation services. At present, a breakthrough in the development of transportation has been made, especially related to the protocol road. These include expanding Transjakarta routes, Mass Rapid Transit, and Light Rail Transit. The addition of the number of modes of transportation has an impact on the addition of the number of stations or stops. However, it does not match by the availability of the government in procuring land for connecting transportation modes into deeper areas. The formal and informal transportation providers as an introduction to integrated transportation users still use the highway corridor as their place to raise, lower, and wait for passengers. Not yet found a place to raise, lower, and wait for those around the top of the officially integrated mode of transportation from the government or service providers. Therefore, this study was conducted to see how the division of land used by providers of the integrated transportation mode connector. This research method is to observe the spread of land use providers of formal and informal transportation services.

Environmental issues have become a topic of discussion in the last few decades. Kuntowijoyo, a well-known novelist in Indonesia, also pays serious attention to the environmental issues through his literary works. This study uses a critical discourse analysis method with an ecocritical approach to reveal and explain the forms of ecological awareness reconstruction which are contained in Kuntowijoyo's novel Mantra Pejinak Ular. The results are as follows. Reconstructions are carried out from a perspective, a way of behaving, a mode of transportation, a model of recreation, and an investment model towards the environment. (1) The reconstruction of the perspective is carried out by rebuilding human consciousness to build harmony with nature. (2) The reconstruction of how to behave is carried out by prioritizing actions to preserve nature. (3) The reconstruction of transportation mode is carried out by warding off the bad social stigma of natural transportation modes. (4) The reconstruction of the recreation model is carried out by enjoying the beauty of animals without cutting them off from their original habitat. (5) The reconstruction of the investment model is carried out by applying an investment model with an ecological perspective that prioritizes environmental sustainability as a legacy for future generations.

Objective : In this study, we proposed the concept of the particulate matter footprint (PM Footprint) and assessed the PM Footprint in transportation modes (road, rail, and water transportation). In addition, we assessed the contribution of secondary particulate matter formation gas emissions, which contribute to particulate matter formation.Method : To calculate the PM Footprint in the transportation sector, the ReCiPe life cycle impact assessment method in life cycle assessment (LCA) was used. For the PM Footprint of each transportation mode, the life cycle inventory data were multiplied by the characterization factors of PM10, PM2.5 and secondary particulate matter formation emissions such as NOx, SOx, NH3. The PM Footprint values were shown in kg PM2.5 eqv. value. Results and Discussion : The road transportation (trucks) had a much higher PM Footprint value than rail and water transportation in tkm unit based. In the road transportation mode, small size truck such as 3.5 tons (1.37E-03 kg PM2.5 eqv./tkm), 3.51~5 tons (9.65E-04 kg PM2.5 eqv./tkm), 1.25 tons (8.38E-04 kg PM2.5 eqv./tkm), and 1 ton (7.83E-04 kg PM2.5 eqv./tkm) had higher PM Footprint value than big size trucks. In the rail transportation mode, the diesel rail transportation had the highest PM Footprint value, followed by electric + diesel rail transportation and electric rail transportation. In the water transportation mode, the tanker LNG_100 dwt had the highest PM Footprint value, followed by ro-ro ship coastal, and tanker coastal 500~20,000 dwt. The secondary particulate matter formation emissions (NOx, SOx, NH3) contributed to PM Footprint value with 59% in road transportation, 80% in rail transportation, and 61% in water transportation. Conclusions : The PM Footprint values, which shown in this study and the results of the directed polluted PM and secondary gas emissions should be considered for national PM reduction policy and planning. Finally, a certification system using the PM Footprint in this study should be developed and settled down for national PM reduction.

<pre><em>The railway station at Ahmad Yani airport in Semarang is a work of architecture discipline. The goal is to get the design of the airport train station in Semarang. With the railway station at Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang is to facilitate passengers who want to continue their journey, either from plane to train or vice versa. It is also expected that with this railway station can reduce congestion that occurred in Semarang, people outside Semarang who want to pick up his family at the airport do not have to come all the way to Ahmad Yani airport, because passengers domiciled outside the Semarang can Use a train to get to their respective areas. By using the accessibility method, it is expected that this station can facilitate the passengers who want to use rail transportation modes or who want to change the mode of transportation. Of course, the selection of the site has also been through several analyzes. The chosen site is also very precise because it is on the south side of the </em><em>A</em><em>hmad </em><em>Y</em><em>ani airport and is on the railway line. And also on the east side of the tread is the main road to get to the airport. So, on the highway is access to the station. The shape, layout and location of the station building also prioritizes the accessibility of its users. The facilities provided are also designed to facilitate passengers such as the addition of escalators, travellators, ramps, guiding blocks, bridges, etc. The concept used indirectly can provide convenience and </em><em>comfortable</em><em> of the passengers who want to change the mode of transportation.</em></pre><pre> </pre><p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><em> railway station, airport station, intermodal transportation integration, accessibility</em></p>

As the recent Auditor General‟s report discovered some corruptions, weakness, and lack of control in asset management in the public sector of Malaysia, this study is an attempt to assess the status of current practices of accountability in public sector of Malaysia. This study collected primary data based on a set of questionnaire survey that was distributed by email using the Google Doc application among the head of department of 682 departments and agencies under 24 federal ministries including the Prime Minister Department in Malaysia. Finally, based on the email responses, the final sample of the study is 109 respondents. The data were collected based on the opinion about ten factors of accountability practices in the department or agency by using seven-point Likert scale ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree). The data are analysed under descriptive statistics and factor analysis. Further, the reliability of the data is tested by using Cronbach alpha test, and the validity of data is tested by checking the normality of data through Shapiro Wilk test and graphically. Overall, 87.3% of the respondents mentioned that overall they practice accountability in their department. However, the priority of these ten factors of accountability differs among the services schemes. The accountability in the administrative &amp; diplomatic, education, and medical &amp; health is below the overall average accountability. The accountability in the financial and information system schemes is also not strong enough. Therefore the public sector in Malaysia needs to be transformed into becoming a reliable and efficient sector by ensuring proper accountability and its proper assessment system.
