The paper presents the results of research into breeding of the new cultivar of oil radish Sibiryachka by the method of multiple individual selection during the period 2008-2018. The cultivar of oil radish Tambovchanka was used as an initial material. The studies were conducted in the foreststeppe zone of Western Siberia (Novosibirsk region) in the breeding nurseries laid on fallow by a widerowed method. Well-developed plants were selected in the field conditions, which were then used for selection of the most productive forms for further sowing, on the basis of the thorough laboratory analysis of the components of the seed yield. For comparative analysis the initial standard cultivar Tambovchanka was used. The main attention in the selections process was paid to high seed and feed productivity, early maturity, resistance to main diseases and pests. As a result, after conducting five selection cycles, a complex hybrid population was obtained, which, in the contest trial during three years, showed an advantage over the standard cultivar by seed and dry matter yield, as well as by stability of seed yield. It was submitted for the state cultivar test with the name Sibiraychka. The main economically valuable features of the oil radish cultivar Sibiryachka are as follows: the average yield of green mass is 33.6 tn/ha, seeds – 1.2 tn/ ha, the seed protein content is 28%. The cultivar is early-ripening, so the duration of the growing season is 89-101 days. It reaches mowing ripeness in 59-75 days. The leaf formation of the cultivar is 41-59%. The new cultivar is resistant to major diseases and pests and is intended for fodder and green manure use. The cultivar was included in the State register of breeding achievements suitable for cultivation on the whole territory of the Russian Federation in 2018. The copyright certificate and patent were received.

Abstract. The purpose of the research is to characterize the varieties of long-legged flax included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements in terms of resistance to fusarium wilt, rust, anthracnose and pasmo. The research was conducted in 2018–2020 in vegetative, laboratory and field conditions at the All-Russian Research Institute of Flax (currently: A separate division Research Institute of Flax). As an object of research, we used varieties of flax-long-legged flax included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation for 2018–2020. Methods. The studies were carried out using modern mycological and phytopathological methods. Laboratory, vegetation and field experiments were conducted according to the All-Russian Research Institute of Flax methods. Results and practical significance. Among the studied 66 varieties, 56.1 % were highly resistant and resistant genotypes to fusarium wilt and 58.3 % – to rust. The specific weight of the Flax Institute varieties for this period was 34.8 %. High resistance to rust and fusarium wilt was characterized by the VNIIL selection varieties: Universal, Diplomat, Alexim, Dewdrop, Zaryanka, Aleksandrit. For the first time, scientists of the Flax Institute have created varieties of flax-long – legged (Diplomat and Tonus) resistant to three diseases: rust, fusarium wilt and anthracnose, and the Caesar variety-to four diseases. All varieties, with the exception of Diplomat and Tonus, a selection of the Flax Institute, were susceptible to anthracnose. The Grant variety of the selection of the Republic of Belarus and the Caesar variety were resistant to pasmo by 59.7 %, the rest were characterized by resistance to damage by 27.8–42.0 %. Scientific novelty. The characteristics of the resistance of the varieties included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation are comprehensively described on infectious and provocative backgrounds using natural and synthetic populations of pathogens diseases of flax. Varieties with group resistance to 2, 3, and 4 diseases are identified. The use of flax varieties resistant to the most economically dangerous diseases in flax crops will reduce the infectious potential and its accumulation in nature.

Agriculture of the Northern regions specializes in animal husbandry, in this regard an urgent problem of crop production in the conditions of the Northern regions of the Russian Federation is the creation of precocious, high-yielding varieties of grain crops for fodder purposes. The article reflects the selection achievements in grain crops over the past seven years. The presented new varieties combine high yield, increased environmental plasticity, and have the ability to reduce their productivity to a lesser extent when cultivated in the harsh conditions of the Northern region. Breeding work conducted at the laboratory of crop production of the Primorskiy filial FGBUN FICKIA RAN - ArhNIISKH in 2005-2019, in breeding semipolar rotation in accordance with the "Guidelines on the selection of barley and oats" (2014), methodology of State Commission for testing of agricultural crops (1985). The digestibility of winter rye dry matter was determined by in vitro method on an artificial stomach. Statistical processing of experimental results was performed using the AGROS version 2.07 selection and genetic software package. Results of the study. As a result of selection work, precocious productive varieties of grain crops of the feed direction were bred and included in the state register. Bereginya — new-generation winter rye variety, universal use, with a low content of water-soluble pentosans in the grain. The variety has been included in the State register of selection achievements since 2013. Variety of spring barley Tausen — feed direction, resistant to environmental stress factors, high-yielding, resistant to lodging and pathogens (dusty smut, spotting). It has been included in the State register of selection achievements since 2014. Spring barley variety Kotlassky — feed direction precocious, productive, adaptive to adverse environmental factors, for obtaining concentrated feed for livestock and poultry. Research results, which were conducted in the forest-steppe of the Central Black Earth Region in the years 2000-2016, are presented. They were carried out in order to find new approaches to the selection of parental components in hybridization to make varieties of winter soft wheat with a high level of productivity, resistant to abiotic environmental factors. Agrotechnology - generally accepted in the region, research material- is the crop structure data of variety samples and hybrids from breeding nurseries. The experiments were conducted according to generally accepted methods, statistical analysis of data was carried out using the Statistica 6.1. The contingency was estimated by the Spearman coefficient, the contribution of factor signs to the resultant one was estimated by the method of multiple regression using the coefficient Beta (β). It is established that hybrids of winter wheat are characterized by higher polymorphism, the appearance of favorable transgressions. Their parental forms are selected by morphological and biological features according to the principle of different quality. When selecting high-yielding varieties which are resistant to lodging, it is advisable to make crossing, contrasting in height, forms with different spike lengths. Using the proposed methods, hybrids which are responsive to environmental conditions were made. They were used in the selection of the intensive winter wheat cultivar Alaya Zarya (since 2011 it's included in the State Register of Selective Breeding Results of the Russian Federation in the fifth region). In a number of hybrids, the contribution to the productivity of their elements practically does not depend on the conditions of the growing season, they are the basis for making the Alexia variety for organic farming (it is in State Commission of the Russian Federation on Testing and Protection of Selective Breeding Results).
