This paper aims to discuss about semantic issue related to terms often used in Islamic education context, namely ta’lim, tarbiyah, ta’dib and tadris. The study shows that ta’lim and tarbiyah have a broader meaning and most commonly used in educational institutions. Term ta’dibhave more specific meaning and interpret the main goal of education in philosophy of Islamic education. While term tadris basicly more emphasis on the active role of students in learning and teaching process. These terms have different dimension of meaning but interconnected each other. There is no contradiction of meaning of them because there is the same basic goal of production of meaning from these words. The proper understanding of these meaning is important and need to be considered in preparing the design of learning in order to the process of learning run effectively and achieve the targetted goal.

Ali Bin Abi Talib once said that children should be educated in accordance with the  development of the times. The Ali bin Abi Talib’s statement could be considered as his attention more to the development of human civilization. For that reason, there should be studies focused on the role of educational institutions in facing the challenges of the times. On this stand, the writer raises the existence of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) for being considered to have been able to survive amid the onslaught of civilization increasingly obscuring cultural identity. In addition, this study also aims to identify and discuss the role of pesantren in the modern era. This is a literature study using a descriptive and exploratory approach. It can be concluded that pesantren are non-formal Islamic educational institutions. Pesantren have permanent and distictive methods and learning models. The purpose of pesantren education is the same as Islamic education in general, instilling a sense of virtue, familiarizing themselves with courtesy, preparing for a holy, sincere and honest life entirely. Pesantren could be seen from three aspects: (a) pesantren that are seen from facilities and infrastructures, (b) pesantren that are seen from disciplines taught, and (c) pesantren that are seen from the fields of knowledge.

In the world of education the name of the supervision of education has long been known by people or has long been known, which is meant by the supervision of education is not far from the problem of improvement regarding the problem of education in the learning and teaching process. However, in its discussion, the supervision of education is more about the differences of opinion, so because of differences in opinions there will be many differences in their implementation. In the process of developing supervisory education supervision in higher education it is demanded to better understand what is in the supervision of education in order to be more optimal in the practice of compilation in the learning process or improve, learn and teach, therefore supervisors must be more can help and have good skills.This educational supervision process is part of the activities carried out in the supervision of education. In this process what has been seen is what goals in the learning and teaching process, supervision techniques are ways to achieve certain goals, both related to the solution of the problems of the teachers in the learning and teaching process, the problem of the principal in developing safety and other issues related to and oriented to improving the quality of education. The process and technique of educational supervision is necessary and very important to be applied and applied properly and correctly in educational institutions, because in the second case it will also discuss the quality of schools.

  The objectives of this research are as follows 1). This study aims to determine the perception of Al-Quran Hadith teachers on the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at the Al Washliyah Stabat Private Tsanawiyah Madrasah. 2). To find out the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Al-Quran Hadith learning at the Al Washliyah Stabat Private Tsanawiyah Madrasah. 3). To find out the role of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Private Al Washliyah Stabat in implementing the 2013 curriculum in the subjects of Al-Quran Hadith. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, namely this type of research describes the state of objects or events without an intention to draw conclusions that apply in general. In this study, it is intended to describe the role of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Private Al Washliyah Stabat as a forum to form students who have superior quality by using the latest learning curriculum, namely Curriculum 2013. stabat. The background of the problem in this study is that the implementation of the Islamic education curriculum is not fully implemented in the Al-Washliyah Stabat Private Tsanawiyah Madrasah regarding the curriculum that is still applied in teaching and learning activities, namely the 2013 curriculum. Islamic religious education curriculum is limited to the field of study of Islamic Religious Education such as the field of study of the Qur'an and Hadith. This research is included in the qualitative research model, meaning that the data used in this study is qualitative data (data that does not consist of numbers) in the form of verbal messages, dialogues and writings that are the results of research through library research activities and field observations and conducting research. Documentation of the objectives of this study are: To find out the perception of Al-Quran Hadith teachers on the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Al Washliyah Stabat. To find out the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Al-Qur'an Hadith learning at the Al Washliyah Stabat Private Tsanawiyah Madrasah. To find out the role of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Private Al Washliyah Stabat in implementing the 2013 curriculum in Al-Quran Hadith subjects. The results of this research are: Madrasah Tsanawiyah has a significant role in preserving the continuity of Islamic education and Islamic ethical moral values ​​in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. In terms of the process of implementing learning in MTs. Private Al Washliyah Stabat has been implemented well by making students more participative in learning and teaching activities

This study aims to elaborate the strengthening of Islamic moderateism through Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah character education. The researcher describes the behavior of Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah character education practiced by Islamic educational institutions as a basis for strengthening religious moderatism. The role of Islamic education institutions in applying moderate Islamic understanding in this disruption era is necessary. Because, students are faced with conditions of changing the order of values ​​and traditions that are very fast and unexpected. Through a descriptive-qualitative approach, data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. Through the frame of character education theory, the data analyzed using the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Apparently, Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah's character education at MTs. Miftahul Huda Bulungan Pakis Aji Jepara was developed through teaching the value of tawassuth, tawazun, tasamuh and i'tidal. The implementation as culture of madrasa, such as the obligation to pray before starting the lesson, orderly running pickets, praying dzuhur in congregation, wearing school uniforms, preserving ancestral culture, familiarizing greetings, sympathetic care routinely for yatama and dhuafa, maintaining the cleanliness of the madrasa environment, and a ban on littering the classroom walls. The limitation of this study has specific scope. That is the focus on strengthening religious moderateism in Islamic educational institutions which are under the shelter of the LP. Maarif NU Jepara Regency. There are still gaps for other researchers to conduct development research outside of that scope.

Student administration is a process carried out by several people in an organization to achieve a certain goal, therefore student administration is a field that is highly related to the organization, and it can also be said that student administration is an attempt to achieve an objective effectively and controlled by utilizing what is available. The purpose of the administration of students is to regulate the activities of students that support the learning and teaching process in schools to run regularly, structured, effective and efficient, so that the desired goals are achieved. Students are a very important part in the learning and teaching process in schools, the administration of education is built to benefit students and schools. Therefore, it is very important for schools to get the attention of educational institutions, in order to achieve the goal of a nation-based comprehensive education. The role of the teacher in student administration is as a selection committee for new student admissions, plays a role in facilitating students to adapt to the school environment, recording and controlling student attendance, conducting competency tests, creating an atmosphere that creates motivation and carrying out career guidance and tracking graduates. In the research of this article, the material is taken from books, journals and other sources related to the administration of students. Student Administration is an activity that takes care of the part of students and provides services to new students who want to register until the student has graduated from the school. The implementation process of student administration there are 3, namely: student administration activities at the beginning of the school year, student administration activities during the school year, and student administration at the end of the school year. The Student Administration Instrument contains the recording of students' personal data at school.

This paper is aimed at discussing the strategic role of school (madrasah) in the country. Madrasah is one of the Islamic educational institutions that have an important role for the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. Madrasah is a place to galvanize the mental, moral, and spiritual of the young generation to educate students to be useful beings for the religion, state, and nation. Private Madrasahs as one of the Islamic Education Institutions in Indonesia have a strategic role in the participation of the nation's intellectuals. In the next developments, private madrasahs face complex issues. In one hand, there is a demand to improve the quality in order to compete with state Islamic education institutions and public schools, but on the other hand, the attention of the government, both central and local, to Islamic educational institutions is still low, even they are still placed not as the main class, but the second class of education institutions. The Ministry of Religious Affairs, which became the central policy, began to formulate serious efforts to improve the quality of madrasahs, such as through the Ministry's Strategic Plan.

The usage of ICT in the teaching process was a recommendation and an opportunity to innovate and actualize it until only a few months ago. The inevitable change caused by the unexpected circumstances triggered by Covid-19 brought all teachers into a situation where there was no room for consideration and no option to avoid the use of modern technology for learning and teaching purposes. Taking into account current situation that indicates the need for integration ICT into the teaching process, the aim of this paper was to analyze the relevant research, to point out the inevitability of providing additional support to teachers for the use of ICT in teaching. Accordingly, the research objectives was: pedagogical significance and contribution of ICT integration in the teaching process, the importance of the role of teachers in the process of ICT integration in teaching, as well as potential obstacles and difficulties that teachers may face in using ICT in teaching process. The obtained results can contribute to a more comprehensive view of the problems that teachers could face in the implementation of ICT in teaching, which would allow the determination of directions that would affect changes in their opinion related to acceptance and promotion of learning in ICT environment, as well as advantages to innovate teaching process by using ICT in teaching.

Al-Ittihadiyah is one of the largest and oldest Islamic organizations in Indonesia. Born on January 27, 1935 ago, Al-Ittihadiyah played an important role in the movement of Muslims, both in education, social, da'wah, and politics. Using a qualitatively descriptive approach as well as referring to primary literartur, this paper aims to determine the modernization of Islamic education at AL-Ittihadiyah educational institutions which include objectives, curriculum and education methods Al-Ittihadiyah. In addition, this paper also explains how the role of Al-Ittihadiyah in social, political, economic and religious fields. The results showed that the education institution presence of Al-Ittihadiyah is very influential in the community, it is shown from the many educational institutions Al-Ittihadiyah ranging from public schools, Madrasah, to the college Scattered throughout the archipelago that has produced many alumni and each of them has been instrumental in the midst of society

Abstract. Speaking skill is essential in language learning and teaching process because the goal of learning a foreign language is to be able to communicate using the target language. Fluency is one of the leading criteria that the students should accomplish in speaking skill. However, most of EFL students tend to be more nervous if they speak English, and this will impact their fluency. The objective of the research is to investigate how questioning gives an impact for students’ fluency in academic speaking class. The researchers used narrative inquiry to collect and process the data using Photovoice. The participants of this research were 12 university students. The finding shows that the use of questioning can develop students’ speaking fluency in academic speaking class. As the implication, teachers can give questions followed with feedback to enhance the students’ fluency. Keywords: fluency, speaking skill, questioning, photovoice.

The need to combine social constructivist activities with cognitive constructivist ones has emerged which incorporates personalized learning approaches. Characteristics of education and educational institutions of the third millennium indicate that flexibility, inclusiveness, collaboration, authenticity, relevance and extended institutional boundaries are the leading features of superior education. While educational goals have changed and expanded to incorporate lifelong learning, global interaction, the attainment of meta-cognitive knowledge and abilities, so did the role of both students and teachers (Felix, 2005). This study is about various techniques used in curriculum development, teaching and assessment, one of which is the negotiated curricula. How to integrate this phenomenon of the learning and teaching literature into curriculum and its influence on students’ active learning is presented.
