The article deals with the analysis of innovations in the content of professional training of interpreters / translators at universities of Europe, the USA and Ukraine. It has been established that at European and American universities the innovation data involves directing professional education of translators and interpreters towards studying CAT-systems within the context of traditional disciplines, specialized disciplines, extracurricular courses, trainings and in the process of students’ translation/interpretation traineeship and study placement. Based on the comparative analysis of the curricula for specialists’ training in translation/interpretation in European countries, the USA and Ukraine, the conclusion is drawn that in higher education of Ukraine theoretical training traditionally prevails over practical field experience, general classroom hours are not sufficient for students, while Ukrainian universities’ curricula lack disciplines aimed at the formation of technological (information, computer) expertise of prospective interpreters and translators. The authors of the article recommend using the experience of western universities on implementing innovations within the content of professional training of interpreters and  translators at Ukrainian universities, namely: a) increasing the number of classroom activity hours in practical training of interpretation/translation students by means of reducing extracurricular hours; b) changing the ratio of disciplines of theoretical and practical training of future interpreters and translators in favour of the latter by decreasing the number of theoretical subjects; c) including disciplines aimed at the formation of prospective experts’ information competency into the curricula; d) providing both short-term and long-term traineeship in interpreter/translator training programs, preferably at international organizations (enterprises) operating in Ukraine or at foreign companies abroad; e) providing specialization of professional training of interpreters and translators (technical translation, legal translation, economic translation, medical translation, literary translation, etc.).

The article is devoted to the analysis of distance learning tools that can be used for teaching translation and to the description of the experience of introducing distance learning into the structure of future translators’ and interpreters’ professional training. Information and communication technologies have significantly changed the workflow of modern translators, who now mainly work on a freelance basis, performing the entire work cycle from translation, editing, quality control and sending the completed translation to a customer or a translation company using a number of technical translation tools. Changes have not bypassed interpreters, because thanks to interpreting management systems and interpreting delivery platforms, they are able to work remotely, and the trend persists. All of this makes distance learning more relevant than ever, because in addition to gaining professional knowledge and developing students’ skills and abilities, it is necessary to develop a culture of working remotely, so the aim of the study is to analyze distance learning tools for future translators and interpreters and to study the experience of introducing distance learning into the structure of professional training by determining the subjective attitude of students to its use. Among the main tools that can be used to provide the distance learning of translation and interpreting, we have identified Zoom, Skype, Google Classroom, Viber and e-mail, which were used to organize distance learning for future translators and interpreters during the national quarantine in March – April 2020. Participants of the anonymous survey included 34 third- and fourth-year students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, who were asked to share their subjective impressions about distance learning, assessing their own attitude to a number of parameters using a 5-point scale. The questionnaire showed a generally positive attitude of students to the distance format (the average result taking into account the answers to all 20 questions of the questionnaire totaled to 3.74) and revealed some shortcomings in the organization and preparation of materials for students’ independent work (too many tasks and the lack of their quality). Distance learning tools such as Google Classroom and Zoom received the highest scores, which can be explained by their ease of use, best learning interactivity and effective feedback among students and instructors.

Problem and goal. Within the framework of the study, based on the data of the Workplace Learning Report study, specialists from the USA, Canada and other countries, the transformation of corporate training over the past decades was analyzed, the main problems and challenges of companies/enterprises in the process of additional professional training of employees and ways to solve them were identified. The main problems of corporate training at the present time, as in the past, include budget deficit and search for free intervals in the schedules of employees for educational sessions. And the solution was the growth of online training, the use of online platforms, which made it easier to find time in the sche- dule of employees for training, create opportunities for flexible editing of educational content, and for managers it was easier to evaluate additional professional training thanks to the control tools built into online platforms. Methodology. However, it turned out that not all age categories of employees are ready to expand online training: older age workers prefer traditional or mixed training, as opposed to young people. Results. The study found that the degree of digitalization correlates with the size of the company: the comparative effectiveness of digital tools for additional professional education increases with the scale of the system in which they are applied: a deployed digital educational platform requires very few resources to expand to new branches and employees, rather than classical educational formats that require personal participation of teaching staff. Conclusion. The main trends in the development of corporate training in the coming years are described.

The article provides a theoretical analysis of the problems of scientific research dedicated to training of specialists for the economic industry. As a result of the theoretical analysis, the classification of modern researches on the problem of training of future economists has been carried out: 1) research that examines problems that are common not only for the training of future economists but also systemic problems for other specialists’ training; 2) research that analyzes the problems aimed at preparation of future economists for a certain type of activity necessary for their profession, or is related to the ways of improvement of the quality of future economists’ professional training as well as the formation of pedagogical competence among future specialists in the economic field, that is, the training of teachers of economic disciplines; 3) scientific research on comparative professional pedagogy related to training of specialists in economic specialties in other countries of the world. There has been presented the classification of scientific research related to the scientific degree for which the research was submitted: in doctoral dissertations there were raised the problems which are systemic for training of not only future economists but other specialists too. A candidate level research is more focused on individual problems of future economists’ professional training, improving the quality of professional training of future economists. It has been stressed that studies aimed at studying foreign experience of economists’ training are still not sufficient, although due attention is paid to such countries as the USA, Great Britain and Germany. The research aimed at studying the experience of the Republic of Poland, which is Ukraine’s neighbour and is close to it in culture and history, has been noted as insufficient.

Abstract In the article, some countries’ experience in organizing professional training and activities of probation officers has been analyzed. Based on comparative analysis of activities of the Probation Institute abroad, it has been determined that probation service has different functional and organizational features in individual countries. For instance, probation service in different countries is subordinate to different agencies. Thus, probation service in Great Britain, Denmark, Japan, Finland, Norway, Latvia, the Czech Republic and Estonia is under the control of the Ministry of Justice; in the USA, Germany, Hungary, it is subordinate to the judiciary; in the Netherlands – public prosecutor’s office; in Sweden – prison authorities; in Singapore, probation service is under the guidance of the Ministry of Community Development and Sports. Another difference consists in the fact that in some countries the law defines probation as punishment (Sweden, Finland, Latvia), whereas in other countries it refers to some criminal measures (Great Britain), exemption from punishment (Estonia) or is not determined at all (the USA). Despite the differences, the goals and means of achieving them in each probation service are similar in the context of criminal law. The approaches to professional training of probation officers have been analyzed and relevant conclusions have been drawn regarding organization of probation officers’ professional training in Ukraine. In particular, work with offenders should be performed by highly qualified specialists who have a degree and who have passed specialized training courses in educational institutions subordinate to probation authorities. It is important that the content of probation officers’ professional training should be constantly updated, taking into account new approaches and methods of working with convicts, which are recognized as effective.

In the modern world of higher educational institutions, the problem of organizing students' independent work is one of the most urgent. The student must have not only knowledge, but also make decisions independently, strive for success in professional activities, apply a creative approach to any business, and raise the intellectual level. That is why the independent work presupposes the development of students' skills to clearly formulate their own thoughts, argue their judgments, think logically, and know the numerous flow of information. The implementation of these skills is possible when organizing a competence-based students' individual work , which affects the professional sphere of future specialists And the construction of a competence-oriented SIW in the form of a model that includes motivational, performance, reflexive, control stages is based on: a) the inherent value of the student; b) the conditionality of the professional orientation of the content of education by future teaching activities; c) c) orientation of professional education towards the individual experience of the student; d) the advanced nature of professional training; e) correlation of the technology of professional training with the patterns of professional becoming of the teacher's personality.
