In modern educational system reform in Russia, there is a deepening contradiction between the required and real level of professional competence of teachers. One way to overcome this contradiction is the systematic professional development of the teaching staff implemented with the help of distance learning technologies (DLT). One of the means to ensure high quality of training is course evaluation by trainees. It allows for motivation and a high level of training, to understand the directions of the course modification. At the same time, teachers themselves are professional experts in training, and their assessment of the e-course may be more objective than that of the trainees of other professions. Additional vocational education is primarily characterized by a high degree of applied orientation to modern learning technologies. Such are the realities that changes, especially in digital technology in education, are changing rapidly. And it is so fast that, in fact, one person cannot be aware of the full range of directions in which they (the changes) are taking place. This problem can be solved using the DLT through systematic modification of the e-course. The object of the study in this paper is the process of teachers’ training in the system of professional development of pedagogical staff using distance learning technologies. The subject of the study: the mechanism of optimization of elearning distance learning courses used in the system of professional development of pedagogical staff. Research purpose: to identify mechanisms to optimize the effectiveness of e-courses to increase trainees’ motivation, correlation of theory content with practice with the help of trainees themselves under conditions of synergetic approach [1]. Research objectives: a) to identify parameters for improving the effectiveness of e-courses; b) to develop a toolkit for improving the effectiveness of e-courses; c) to develop recommendations for improving the effectiveness of e-courses. The method used in the study is the analysis of pedagogical literature, Google-form-based questionnaire, synthesis, and generalization. The novelty of the study is related to the creation of conditions for modifying e-courses for teachers’ professional development through the examination of the course by the teachers themselves. This article is written within the framework of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research project 19-29-14176 “Building a Fundamental Model of Digital Transformation of the General Education System Using a Digital Platform for Results-Based Education”.

Traditional methods, tools and forms of training of civil servants require a significant number of additional highly qualified teaching staff, an increase in the number of educational institutions for training, retraining and advanced training, frequent and long absences from work. All this is time and money, which our country is very short of.The way out of this situation is a large-scale transition to a qualitatively new level of full-time and part-time education - distance education. The experience of the NAPA DRID shows that the use of the G Suite for Education package allows to quickly and efficiently create a single information and educational space for training and retraining of public servants in the region.

This research examines the design and delivery of a new Foundations of University Teaching Practice (FUTP) program delivered through asynchronous online modules. The freedom to choose defines the new momentum of openness in distance and open learning. University teaching staff expect quality resources to support their professional development within the reality of limited time for learning and a desire for increased accessibility. Openness and increased access bring both opportunities and challenges. This paper uses mixed methods to examine the FUTP from the perspectives of both the designers and the academic staff who participated in the program. Using personal reflections, focus groups, a survey, and interviews, we explore those opportunities and challenges within the context of the design and delivery of the program and report on the findings. Our research confirmed the value of openness and increased access to professional learning in higher education

The article focuses on building digital competencies in future teachers of the Humanities. It was established that introducing digital technology into studying the humanities generates new opportunities that had previously been unavailable. These issues are covered by Digital Humanities – a field of research, education and creation at a nexus of computer science and humanities. To solve the problem, a selective discipline, called Digital Technologies in Education, has been introduced. This can be adapted for retraining school teachers and university lecturers. The topics of the discipline are arranged in such a way that studying one module prepares students for covering every subsequent module. The whole course is divided into 4 modules: 1) Developing instructional materials by means of digital technologies; 2) Planning and organizing the learning process by means of digital technologies; 3) Distance learning; 4) Professional development as a way to manifest teacher’s identity. The practical use of this discipline will raise students’ awareness of digital technologies that will help them make this process easier and more effective; the students will explore popular software and services for distance learning arrangement and acquire skills of using them. Different aspects of teacher’s job are mentioned, they are as following: planning and organizing the learning process (this often entails a lot of paperwork); aspiration for professional development, learning new things, and adjusting curricula to modern reality. In this paper, we have presented the discipline, with the help of which students will gain and extend knowledge of all above-mentioned areas as well as practical skills of implementing digital technologies in education and professional life. Keywords: digital technologies; Digital Humanities; humanities; modern technologies; digital competence; education; selective discipline; humanitarization
