The relevance of this publication is linked to the constant expansion of the range of packing products offered to the consumer market and the need to ensure the communicative function of packaging that embodies the dual requirements, one of which is the need for assimilation products to existing trade row, and the other - the selection of merchandise goods number by packing. The goal is to highlight all aspects of the problem associated with the communicative function of packaging products and outline the ways to solve them. Research Methodology: a tested method of complex analysis is introduced. It establishes the presence of domestic communicative aspects relevant to each of the above requirements and ways to implement them through the provision of a number of design techniques that can be guided by the designer in the implementation of project tasks. The scientific novelty is to identify all aspects of the communication requirements for packaging products and to establish conformity between each aspect and design methods that ensures their implementation. The advantages and disadvantages of each of the methods are considered in detail, namely: demonstration of images of the idealized consumer (advertising character) or the image of the idealized commodity producer; demonstration of hyperbolized consumer goods characteristics; accentuation of awards and signs of ecological safety; the dominance of typographic design and advertising block units over figurative elements; introduction of innovative and original shaping in packing designs. The importance of formulation of assortment of packaging products is separately highlighted, which represents a specific visual text - information that allows to trace the functional purpose of packaging and the presence of common and distinctive features. The studies have found that methods of demonstration images of idealized consumer (advertising character) or an idealized image producers meet the communication requirements such as: instant identification of goods, providing clear and unambiguous information about its content; the requirements for attracting attention through the visual images embodied in the packaging; creation of attractive communicative images from consciously active to accented-neutral. However, advertising characters are more likely to personally consciously active images. At the same time not all consumers are convinced of the perception of such an active position. The consideration of the mentality of such consumers makes it possible to resort to demonstration of images of the final product with hyperbolized consumer qualities. The use of such reception is the most common way of presenting food products under the conditions present in Slavic commodity markets and sometimes leads to the effect of over-supply of properties of such goods in an idealized form that loses communication product in real disposable bag. Obviously, the observation of differences between desired and available product features can lead only to a single act of purchase, and not contribute to the establishing the long-term relationships that can work for the nprestige and multiple acquisition of a proposed brand. Further, correlating techniques of sense formation with the communicative aspects of packaging products, the matching between the methods of emphasis of awards and signs of environmental safety requirements of trusted sources of information were found, that leads to the creation of the impression of reliability. Specific kind of project reception focused on building confidence in the source of information, creation of a correlation to such a source of impression of reliability is the introduction of TM with loud names such as "Our product", "Without GMOs". Names such as awards and environmental safety receive dominant positions in the system of information and communication elements of packaging products and focus on consumers' attention. The next communicative aspect of packaging products is the requirement to "tune" consumers into prolonged communication, to promote interest and willingness to acquire goods. Typically, the implementation of such a requirement is carried out through the introduction of font elements and their clear structuring with the help of a system of decorative planes, so-called "dies". Font alphabets, unlike realistic or photographic images, can most accurately tell about the properties of a product in each of the packaging volumes, explaining to the consumer what to expect from the product. The next project design, which also ensures the implementation of the above requirement, is the original formulation that is executed on the basis of standardized structural elements provided that there is a clear interaction between the constructive and graphic solutions of the packaging products. Consequently, the more noticeable the allocation of packaging in the cell to the same of a similar kind is, the better the process of forming factor is worked out. Of course, informational and communicative elements do not lose their significance in this case, but their design must be logically subordinated to the constructive properties of the form of detection. Conclusions: Tasks for the design of packaging products include the professional use of professional techniques of graphic design that make it possible to implement dualistic-oriented requirements. A specific feature of the use of such techniques is the refusal to follow the compositional schemes and plastic-shaped characteristics of the communicative elements of the already sold packaging products. Instead, resistance rests on the content fulfillment of each of the techniques which allows to implement an individualized approach to each of the projected packaging. The study shows the influence and significance of each of the communicative aspects that are considered in detail through a comprehensive analysis

Newly emerging cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology present a challenging research problem in the field of digital politics and economics. Bitcoin—the first widely implemented cryptocurrency and blockchain architecture—seemingly separates itself from the existing territorial boundedness of nation-state money via a process of algorithmic decentralisation. Proponents declare that the utilisation of cryptography to advance financial transactions will disrupt the modern centralised structures by which capitalist economies are currently organised: corporations, governments, commercial banks, and central banks. Allegedly, software can create a more stable and democratic global economy; a world free from hierarchy and control. In Money Code Space, Jack Parkin debunks these utopian claims by approaching distributed ledger technologies as a spatial and social problem where power forms unevenly across their networks. First-hand accounts of online communities, open-source software governance, infrastructural hardware operations, and Silicon Valley start-up culture are used to ground understandings of cryptocurrencies in the “real world.” Consequently, Parkin demonstrates how Bitcoin and other blockchains are produced across a multitude of tessellated spaces from which certain stakeholders exercise considerable amounts of power over their networks. While money, code, and space are certainly transformed by distributed ledgers, algorithmic decentralisation is rendered inherently paradoxical because it is predicated upon centralised actors, practices, and forces.

Recycled aggregate is aggregate prepared from construction waste. With the development of a global economy and people’s attention to sustainable development, recycled aggregate has shown advantages in replacing natural aggregate in the production of concrete due to its environmental friendliness, low energy consumption, and low cost. Recycled aggregate exhibits high water absorption and a multi-interface transition zone, which limits its application scope. Researchers have used various methods to improve the properties of recycled aggregate, such as microbially induced calcium carbonate precipitation (MICP) technology. In this paper, the results of recent studies on the reinforcement of recycled aggregate by MICP technology are synthesized, and the factors affecting the strengthening effect of recycled aggregate are reviewed. Moreover, the strengthening mechanism, advantages and disadvantages of MICP technology are summarized. After the modified treatment, the aggregate performance is significantly improved. Regardless of whether the aggregate was used in mortar or concrete, the mechanical properties of the specimens were clearly improved. However, there are some issues regarding the application of MICP technology, such as the use of an expensive culture medium, a long modification cycle, and untargeted mineralization deposition. These difficulties need to be overcome in the future for the industrialization of regenerated aggregate materials via MICP technology.

This paper intends to explore the convergence of some technological innovations that could lead to new cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The technologies that might soon converge and lead to some new developments are: the Blockchain Technology (BT) concept, Internet of Things (IoT) and Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV). Advantages and disadvantages of the new concepts founding a new ITS system are discussed in this conceptual paper. Blockchain technology has been recently introduced and many research ideas have been presented for application in the transportation sector. In this paper, we discuss a system that is based on a dedicated blockchain, able to involve both drivers and city administrations in the adoption of promising and innovative technologies that will create cooperation among connected vehicles. The proposed blockchain-based system can allow city administrators to reward drivers when they are willing to share travel data. The system manages in a special way the creation of rewards which are assigned to drivers and institutions participating actively in the system. Moreover, the system allows keeping a complete track of all transactions and interactions between drivers and city management on a completely open and shared platform. The main idea is to combine connected vehicles with BT to promote Cooperative ITS use, a better use of infrastructures and a more sustainable eco-system of cryptocurrencies. A short description of BT is introduced to evidence energy problems of sustainability in the implementation of Proof of Work (PoW) that is adopted by many blockchains.

The article is devoted to the effective analysis of trench and trenchless pipeline laying technologies. In the course of the work, an analytical review of pipeline assembly was performed, the main technological parameters, the scope of each method, and their advantages and disadvantages were determined. List of considered pipeline laying methods: trenching, horizontal directional drilling, mechanical puncture, hydraulic puncture, microtunneling and punching. The article analyzes the classical trench method and the most widely used trenchless ones: horizontal directional drilling; mechanical puncture; hydraulic puncture; microtunneling; punching. Each of these methods has several advantages and disadvantages. The choice of the optimal method of laying the pipeline depends on many factors: the physical and mechanical properties of soils and hydrogeological conditions, the length and diameter of the pipeline, the presence of other communications, buildings and structures, as well as the budget that customers have. Work time is the last deciding factor. Based on the results of the analysis of pipeline laying technologies and expert survey of construction industry experts, the cost table of each method was compiled, outlining the main characteristics of the technology: length of pipeline, speed of work, scope, cost, and the advantages and disadvantages of each of the considered methods. The conclusions about the use of each of the pipeline laying methods were made. Each of the methods has its advantages and disadvantages, so to choose the method of work it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive assessment of technological parameters, cost, scope and timing of work. The cost of lay-ing the pipeline consists of the following factors: conducting research; selection of diameter and determination of pipeline length; choice of laying method and equipment necessary for the works; selection of equipment, shut-off and control equipment and other materials arranged on the pipeline; terms of performance of works. Taking into account these factors, an estimate is made, which determines the cost of installation of a particular pipeline. After the analysis, we can conclude that among the methods of trenchless laying of pipelines can be identi-fied horizontally directional drilling, it is this method of laying the pipeline will be appropriate to use for our region. The drilling technique allows to carry out pipelines under obstacles, to pull long segments of networks, to repair site damage. This method is universal and can be used in almost any environment. Keywords: trenches, horizontal directional drilling, mechanical puncture, hydraulic piercing, microtunnelling, punching, pipeline.

On the basis of the analysis of the literature sources, we determined the possible range of using the method of the Earth`s natural pulse electromagnetic field. As a result of detailed analysis of domestic and foreign research, we demonstrated the relevance of conducting research focused on development of the Earth'snatural pulse electromagneticfield (or ENPEMF). Using the results of theoretical studies, the advantages and disadvantages of the ENPEMF method were determined. A complex of physical processes which preceded the development of the pulse electromagnetic field of the Earth was characterized, and the impact of mechanical deformations of rocks on the change in the condition of the electromagnetic field was experimentally proven. The main fundamentals on the determination of depth range of the ENPEMF method were examined and a new approach to interpretation of the data was suggested. We conducted an analysis of methods developed earlier of calculating geometric parameters of the sources which generate electromagnetic impulses. Their practicability at a certain stage of solving the data of geological tasks was experimentally tested. We determined the factors which affect the depth range of the ENPEMF method. A mathematical solution of the effectiveness of the ENPEMF method was suggested and determined the relations between the depth parameter of the study and the frequency of measuring and effective value of specific electric resistance. On the example of different objects, the effectiveness and correctness of the suggested method of determining the depth range parameter was proven. In particular, the theoretical results of the study were tested and confirmed on objects of different geological-morphological and engineering-technical aspects, i.e. Novo-Holyn mine in the Kalush-Holynske potash deposit and the multi-storey educational building of the University in Ivano-Frankivsk. The practicability of using the ENPEMF method in combination with other methods of electrometry for solving practical geological tasks was experimentally proven.

AbstractNatural yellow plant dyes and traditional medicines were used widely on historical papers in ancient China for religious reasons and conservation considerations. This study aims to evaluate some traditional yellow botanical sources of dyes that contain different chemical colorant compositions in order to understand their effects on the properties of traditional handmade paper. The physical and chemical changes in paper specimens treated with plant dyes were studied by examining properties such as the color, pH, thermogravimetric (TG) characteristics, tensile strength, folding endurance and microstructure by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results indicated that different colorants had different toning effects and that the main components, including carboxyl and ketone groups, could affect the paper stability at high temperatures. The results also revealed that the mechanical properties of paper specimens were improved after treatment with plant dyes. The significant improvements in the tensile strength and folding endurance and the slightly higher decomposition temperature of Amur cork tree-dyed paper could be ascribed to the strong interaction between the colorants’ main components and the fibers. The scientific evaluation of the property changes is therefore valuable information for weighing the advantages and disadvantages of the various yellow toning materials for paper conservation treatment.
