The existence o f fe e t as the part of the human body is very important to support the daily activities which is to support the body and to walk. The lost of the under knee part (amputation) is the dominant case of the total cases of amputation in Indonesia. So that we need a tool to restore the balance of the human body to be able to do our daily activity. The tool is called prostheses. The design and manufacture of prototypeshank prostheses under knee is intended for persons who have 162 cm height and 57 Kg of average weight. Prostheses are aimed to the persons who only lost one limb below the knee. In this design, the length of the shank can be set according to the length of leg amputated and is intended to persons who are still experiencing high growth (teenager). The material is stainless steel 316L. The shank has a length 200-300 mm, width 67 mm and 2 mm thick.

Wearable technology is widely used for collecting information about the human body and its movement by placing sensors on the body. This paper presents research into electronic textile strain sensors designed specifically for wearable applications which need to be lightweight, robust, and comfortable. In this paper, sixteen stretch sensors, each with different conductive stretch fabrics, are evaluated: EeonTex (Eeonyx Corporation), knitted silver-plated yarn, and knitted spun stainless steel yarn. The sensors’ performance is tested using a tensile tester while monitoring their resistance with a microcontroller. Each sensor was analyzed for its sensitivity, linearity, hysteresis, responsiveness, and fatigue through a series of dynamic and static tests. The findings show that for wearable applications a subset of the silver-plated yarn sensors had better ranked performance in terms of sensitivity, linearity, and steady state. EeonTex was found to be the most responsive, and the stainless steel yarn performed the worst, which may be due to the characteristics of the knit samples under test.

These Tables have been compiled from notes of 2086 examinations made at St. Marylebone Infirmary, between 1839 and 1847; and of 528 examinations in cases of insanity made at the Somerset Lunatic Asylum, between 1848 and the end of December 1860, comprehending in all a period of twenty-one years. The calculations alone have been the labour of many months; a task, which, owing to the pressure of daily duties in a large establishment, I could not now have completed but for the able assistance of my relative Major Boyd. The Tables are submitted with a hope that they may aid in forming a standard of the weight of the human organs from early infancy to old age. The cases are arranged at eighteen periods of life, under eighteen different heads, showing the average height and weight of the body (the measurement of the head, and weight of the spinal marrow in. No. 2), the average weight of the encephalon and its several parts; also of each lung, of the heart, and of all the abdominal viscera. The assigned causes of death are given in the margin; also the variations in weight of the lungs, heart, and liver.

Understanding of interaction reactions between materials and tissue in the body is necessary for the success of implant devices. Impedance and polarisation properties at the interface on 316L stainless steel and pure Ti under cell culture environment of fibroblast L929 or with collagen coating were examined. Limitation of mass diffusion at the interface by cell bodies and extracellular matrix is probably a corrosion factor of the presence of cells, which causes the decrease of protectiveness of passive film on 316L steel. Surface composition of 316L steel and Ti formed with L929 was compared with that formed in human body. Similar elements were detected on the surface formed in both the environments. The precipitated sulphur on the surface formed under cell culture and in the human body appears to be originated from proteins that might be produced by cells.

316L Stainless steels are widely used in biomedical applications with respect to their excellent corrosion resistance, nonmagnetic properties, high ductility and acceptable biocompatibility. There have been made electrochemical studies in-vitro in order to determine the corrosion reactions, which are necessary for foreseeing the behavior of the materials used in orthodontic applications. The degradation of metals and alloys in the human body is a combination of effects due to corrosion and mechanical activities. In dentistry, 316L stainless steel are used in a variety of applications: sterilized instruments, endodontic files in root canal therapy, metal posts in root canal treated teeth, temporary crowns, arch wires and brackets in orthodontics, a necessary condition for these applications must to resist to pitting corrosion. The pitting corrosion can be observed only in the case of passivable steels and in the presence of halogen or sulphur ions, in saline or acidic media like the human body. this type of corrosion propagates under the form of small pits, which give off to a significant quantity of metal ions, being very dangerous to the body. The metal ions resulted from the corrosive processes have allergic, carcinogenic and cytotoxic effects. The aim of this work was to evaluate the corrosion behavior of 316L stainless steel immersed in two artificial saliva solutions. The electrochemical measurements such as: open Circuit Potential (OCP), linear Polarization Resistance (LRP), and electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), methods were used to fulfill the corrosion evaluation. The research work concludes that the increase of the pH with a higher concentration of chloride contents lead to a lowest corrosion resistance while a decrease of the pH with a lowest concentration of chlorides contents reveals a higher corrosion resistance.

Biodegradable materials are used in two key sectors of orthopaedics – to fabricate bone fixators and scaffolds for bone tissue regeneration. In case of osteosynthesis, fixators made from biodegradable materials disappear from the body after a certain time. So, a necessity of a one more operation for their removal is excluded. In the present study, the acromioclavicular joint osteosynthesis plates made of magnesium alloy (WE43), titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-7Nb) and stainless steel (316L) are compared utilizing the finite element analysis. The research showed that stresses in the magnesium alloy plate were lower, compared to the titanium alloy plate or the stainless steel plate. However, the tensile strength of magnesium is over 2 times lower, as compared to stainless steel and 5 times lower, than titanium alloys. Magnesium alloy is not suitable for manufacturing plates with low thickness (2 and 2.5 mm), because the stresses generated in them exceed the yield strength of the material.

Backgroud: The World Health Organization (WHO) explained that the number of Hyperemesis Gravidarum cases reached 12.5% of the total number of pregnancies in the world and the results of the Demographic Survey conducted in 2007, stated that 26% of women with live births experienced complications. The results of the observations conducted at the Midwife Supriyati Clinic found that pregnant women with hyperemesis gravidarum, with a comparison of 10 pregnant women who examined their contents there were about 4 pregnant women who complained of excessive nausea and vomiting. Objective: to determine the hyperemesis Gravidarum of pregnant mother in clinic. Methods: This study used Qualitative research methods by using a case study approach (Case Study.) Result: The description of excessive nausea of vomiting in women with Hipermemsis Gravidarum is continuous nausea and vomiting more than 10 times in one day, no appetite or vomiting when fed, the body feels weak, blood pressure decreases until the body weight decreases and interferes with daily activities days The factors that influence the occurrence of Hyperemesis Gravidarum are Hormonal, Diet, Unwanted Pregnancy, and psychology, primigravida does not affect the occurrence of Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Conclusion: Mothers who experience Hyperemesis Gravidarum feel nausea vomiting continuously more than 10 times in one day, no appetite or vomiting when fed, the body feels weak, blood pressure decreases until the weight decreases and interferes with daily activities, it is because there are several factors, namely, hormonal actors, diet, unwanted pregnancy, and psychology.

Posture is commonly perceived as the relationship between the segments of the human body upright. Certain parts of the body such as the cephalic extremity, neck, torso, upper and lower limbs are involved in the final posture of the body. Musculoskeletal instabilities and reduced postural control lead to the installation of nonstructural posture deviations in all 3 anatomical planes. When we talk about the sagittal plane, it was concluded that there are 4 main types of posture deviation: hyperlordotic posture, kyphotic posture, rectitude and "sway-back" posture.Pilates method has become in the last decade a much more popular formof exercise used in rehabilitation. The Pilates method is frequently prescribed to people with low back pain due to their orientation on the stabilizing muscles of the pelvis. Pilates exercise is thus theorized to help reactivate the muscles and, by doingso, increases lumbar support, reduces pain, and improves body alignment.

The research would look further at the representation of the human body in both Balinese and Javanese traditional houses and compared the function and meaning of each part. To achieve the research aim, which was to evaluate and compare the representation of the human body in Javanese and Balinese traditional houses, a qualitative method through literature and descriptive analysis study was conducted. A comparative study approach would be used with an in-depth comparative study. It would revealed not only the similarities but also the differences between both subjects. The research shows that both traditional houses represent the human body in their way. From the architectural drawing top to bottom, both houses show the same structure that is identical to the human body; head at the top, followed by the body, and feet at the bottom. However, the comparative study shows that each area represents a different meaning. The circulation of the house is also different, while the Balinese house is started with feet and continued to body and head area. Simultaneously, the Javanese house is started with the head, then continued to body, and feet area.
