This study aims to critic the concepts of classical and modern Arabic linguists about sentences which they term differently including: number, kalam, tarkib (sentence, phrase). Their differences are inseparable from polemics, especially in providing boundaries and terms used, both in the classical and modern eras. For example the polemic on the use of terminology and the number and meaning of both, whether synonymous or not, which then affects the elements that build it. This study uses a literature study (library research) with content analysis and hermeneutic approaches. This research found that basically the differences in Arabic experts both in the classical and modern eras were not substantive, but rather as editorial debates, technical terminology, and partial.The old grammarian tended to be complicated in providing a definition of sentence compared to contemporary Islamic scholar,  it was easier to explain about this sentence.

(Title: Representation of Hero’s Journey on Main Character Chihiro in Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away Anime) This paper is the result of a qualitative descriptive type of literature study. The purpose of this study was to reveal the heroic journey process of main character of Spirited Away anime named Chihiro, based on the Hero’s Journey theory proposed by Vogler. Data about Chihiro's heroic journey are obtained from anime with note taking techniques. The method used in the analysis is the method of content analysis based on the theory of Hero's Journey. From the results of the analysis, it can be seen that the main character Chihiro has undergone a total of the twelve stages of the hero’s journey. Chihiro's adventure has succeeded in changing her personality which was initially timid, spoiled, and whiny to be brave, independent, calm and confident, and full of compassion. Chihiro's heroic journey proves the true definition of a hero according to Vogler, while also proving that to win a fight does not always use physical strength. There are times when thinking intelligence and emotional intelligence are much more needed. In addition, this anime also features a lot of kamisama which was once believed by the Japanese. Miyazaki might want to remind again about the existence of Japanese gods by displaying them in this anime, either those actually found in Japanese mythology or Miyazaki's own creations. Thus, the story of Spirited Away which has a mythical structure as stated by Vogler becomes much more alive and interesting.

INDONESIAN JURISPRUDENCE: ISLAMIC LAW TRANSFORMATION IN LAW SYSTEM OF INDONESIA.: This study discusses about the idea of Islamic law renewal in Indonesia, as well as the figures, and it makes the term of Indonesian Jurisprudence and its formalization into the law system of Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to find the answer of these following points: Firstly, the interpretation or definition of Indonesian Jurisprudence concept; secondly, the figures who proposed Indonesian Jurisprudence and the result of their thoughts; and the third, the formalization of Jurisprudence concept with Indonesian nuance in the law system Indonesia. This study was a library research with a content analysis method. The results of this study are: (1) Indonesian Jurisprudence could be interpreted as a Jurisprudence concept that is more Indonesian local-based; (2) Hasbi As-Shiddiqi and Hazairin are two figures who proposed Indonesian Jurisprudence model, apart from other intellectuals. Hasbi is one of modernists who offered his ideas comprehensively, started from his “Indonesian Jurisprudence” concept until the law renewal including its principle and method. Meanwhile Hazairin offered the development of a new heritage system which interpreted and elaborated based on Al-Qur’an scriptural perception and Sunnah which is not a patrilineal system but bilateral (family model); and (3) formalization of Indonesian Jurisprudence concept produces some ordinance regulation products which are important formally and materially, such as Ordinance of Islamic Marriage Law, and also other rules under the Ordinance, such as Government Law, President Instruction, and Supreme Court Law, as well as Islamic Law Compilation and Sharia Economic Law Compilation

This article compares dowry regulations in Indonesia and Morocco. Bearing in mind that Indonesia and Morocco have different characteristics in dowry matter, the regulations are worth comparing for. As understood in Islamic marriages, dowry is an important obligation and must be fulfilled by the bridegroom for the bride. Normative Islamic teaching advocates for dowry that is simple and reasonable, but in practice, sometimes dowry becomes expensive and difficult to be given, and thus, causing unfavorable effects. In addition, dowry also has the potentials to be subjected to disputes between husband and wife if not regulated by legislation in details. The author uses a comparative study of law guided by a normative approach through library research. The main source is the statutes of two countries. Analysis technique used is content analysis. As a result, it is found that with different backgrounds of fiqh school in Indonesia and Morroco-one being strongly influenced by Shāfi‘ī school and the other is influenced by Mālikī school-have similar rules on dowry. The only significant difference is that the Mālikī School and its legislation in Morocco considers dowry as a marriage pillar. Meanwhile, the Shāfi‘ī school and its legislation in Indonesia, even though the dowry is regarded as compulsory, it does not become a condition or a marriage pillar. Other differences are the definition of dowry, regulation of wife’s luggage, lost dowry, defective dowry, introduction of mithil dowry, regulation of dowry disputes before entering the household, and regulation of furniture disputes other than the wife’s luggage.

In this study we try to describe polygamy in the perspective of Syadz adz-Dzari'ah, namely prevention, because it is feared that there will be conflicts within the family, between wives and husbands, between other wives, and between children. This research is a comparative literature study, the study material comes from literature sources. The technique of collecting data is by means of observation data collection (organizing data). Second, through library research. namely seeing, observing, seeking. The approach uses qualitative. The data were then collected and analysis techniques were carried out. The results of the data analysis were written in descriptive form. Data analysis used the content analysis stage, comparative analysis (content analysis and differentiating analysis). analyzing polygamy in the perspective of Syad ad-Dzari'ah. Polygamy when it causes ongoing conflicts and is unable to provide legal solutions, it is better to avoid it because when conflicts and disputes occur, the household will not be realized as sakinah mawaddah wa rahmah and barakah families. Even though marriage aims to find happiness, tranquility, blessings and all one's actions after marriage have the value of worship.

This paper aims to examine Ibrahim Hosen's thoughts on the meaning and purpose of marriage and his contribution to the reform of marriage law in Indonesia. How Ibrahim Hosen's thinking about marriage is limited to the definition and purpose of marriage, how various thoughts exist and how the contribution of Ibrahim Hosen's thoughts to reforming marriage law in Indonesia is the problem of this research. This is a library research. The data analysis method used is content analysis. As a result, the definition of ownership in the marriage contract according to Ibrahim Hosen is not a contract to have a wife's body, making a wife an object by the husband. However, the right of ownership in the definition of marriage means the right to have the use of the husband against the wife, in addition to the haram husband who feels the pleasure of the wife. Based on this, it can be concluded that there is no patriarchal element in the definition of marriage as explained by the fiqh scholars. Ibrahim Hosen explained that marriage in Islam aims to build a prosperous household full of sakinah, mawaddah, and mercy. Therefore, linking the husband's obligation to provide for his wife with tamkin is clearly not right, because it seems as if the purpose of marriage is just a matter of sex. This thinking must be corrected by conducting a review, because the obligation to provide a living takes effect after the marriage contract occurs. Therefore, the provisions of Article 80 paragraph [5] KHI related to the relationship between husband and wife and tamkin, need to be revised.

<p><em>In this sophisticated era, people generally entrust money to banking services. In addition to getting security guarantees, the public also benefits from banks in the form of interest or profit sharing.</em></p><p><em>Methods and Findings: The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the views of fuqaha regarding bank interest and usury. This research is characterized by library research as one type of library research and the method used is literature study while data analysis uses content analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that in understanding bank interest and usury fuqaha different opinions. First, the textual paradigm understands the nature of the prohibition of usury lies in the existence of additional, as the meaning contained by the word riba itself and based on nas confirmation, that only the principal capital can be taken, so that if the ilat is in bank interest, then the bank interest is usury . Second, the contextual paradigm understands the passage of prohibiting usury in context, namely the existence of zulm elements or exploitation that occurs when forbidden usury. So that these conditions when found in the application of bank interest, then the bank interest is categorized as usury with a clear legal status, namely haram. This group sees that what happens in bank interest is no element of zulm or exploitation, so they determine that bank interest does not include usury, and the law is permissible.</em></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Pada zaman yang serba canggih  ini, umumnya masyarakat menitipkan uang  pada jasa-jasa perbankan. Selain mendapatkan jaminan keamanan, masyarakat juga mendapatkan keuntungan dari bank berupa bunga atau bagi hasil. <strong></strong></p><p><strong>Metode dan Temuan:  </strong>Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan pandangan fuqaha mengenai bunga bank dan riba. Penelitian ini bercorak <em>library research</em> salah satu jenis penelitian kepustakaan dan metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur sedangkan analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis isi (<em>content analisis</em>). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam memahami bunga bank dan riba fuqaha berbeda pendapat. Pertama, paradigma tekstual memahami <em>ilat</em> pengharaman riba terletak pada adanya tambahan, sebagaimana makna yang dikandung oleh kata riba itu sendiri dan berdasarkan konfirmasi <em>nas</em>, bahwa hanya modal pokok yang dapat diambil, sehingga apabila <em>ilat</em> itu terdapat di bunga bank, maka bunga bank tersebut adalah riba. Kedua,  paradigma kontekstual memahami <em>nas</em> dari pengharaman riba secara konteks, yaitu adanya unsur <em>zulm</em> atau eksploitasi yang terjadi pada waktu diharamkannya riba. Sehingga kondisi tersebut bila dijumpai pada pemberlakuan bunga bank, barulah bunga bank itu dikategorikan sebagai riba yang status hukumnya jelas, yaitu haram. Kelompok ini melihat bahwa apa yang terjadi di bunga bank tidak ada unsur <em>zulm</em> atau eksplotasi, sehingga mereka menetapkan bunga bank tidak termasuk riba, dan hukumnya boleh.</p>

Parni Hadi's Thought Study of Prophetic Journalism about the dissemination of information based on faith, and good and bad renewal in society. Parni Hadi as a press figure supports his prophetic journalism as a way of preaching and the legacy of the prophet's duty to be applied in journalistic practice. This study analyzes Parni Hadi about Prophetic Journalism, Islamic Journalism, and implementing Prophetic Journalism. The library research methodology (literature study) uses content analysis methods. This study found that Prophetic Journalism can be practiced by journalists or mass media religious backgrounds, as long as presenting the right journalistic products, educating and to help all people, while still using the prophet's duty on honesty, help, be reliable, educate and send a message full of wisdom .Penelitian Pemikiran Parni Hadi tentang Jurnalisme Profetik ini tentang penyebaran informasi yang dilandasi iman, dan mempertimbangkan dampak baik dan buruk di masyarakat. Parni Hadi sebagai tokoh pers memiliki gagasan jurnalisme profetiknya sebagai jalan dakwah dan warisan tugas nabi untuk diterapkan dalam praktik jurnalistik. Penelitian ini menganalisa pemikiran Parni Hadi tentang Jurnalisme Profetik, Jurnalisme Islami, dan mengimplementasikan Jurnalisme Profetik. Metodologi penelitian kepustakaan (library research) ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis konten. Penelitian ini menemukan Jurnalisme Profetik yang bisa dipraktikan oleh jurnalis atau media massa berbagai latar belakang agama, selama menyajikan produk jurnalistik yang benar, mendidik dan untuk kebaikan seluruh umat, dengan tetap menerapkan tugas nabi tentang kejujuran, mengajak kebaikan, dapat dipercaya, mendidik dan menyampaikan pesan penuh kearifan.

This research is a literature study (library research/content analysis) with the type of normative legal research through a statute approach, an Islamic law approach and a case approach. The results of this study conclude that parents may donate assets to their children, grants are made by paying attention to justice between their children. Even though a parent can withdraw the grant, a valid reason and evidence must be had, because the grant cannot be withdrawn immediately, even though the grant is given from the father to his child. In the case discussed in this study, the Panel of Judges decided to reject the grant cancellation lawsuit filed by the father against his children. the absence of the ex-wife's consent to withdraw the grant from the joint property.

The research aims to uncover the symbols in the novel The Alchemist and to gain knowledge about the moral teachings in the symbol. This research is descriptive qualitative approach. Data sources in this study are words, phrases or sentences in the novel Alchemist. Data collection method is a literature study method with note taking technique. Data were analyzed using description and content analysis methods. The results showed that the novel The Alchemist contained many symbols. These symbols include: (1) wise parents, who symbolize both negative and positive things. From his appearance, parents can symbolize something bad, but behind his old age he symbolizes a knowledge that is very much and wise; (2) stones that symbolize something hard, not easily broken, and can provide clues to something; and (3) deserts or deserts which can be interpreted as symbols of drought, aridity, unattractiveness, emptiness, despair, determination for ignorance, and also as symbols of devotion.

Ketidakadilan gender yang terjadi pada pendidikan formal di sekolah, sering kali tanpa disadari oleh para pendidik. Melalui buku-buku pelajaran wajib, seperti buku pelajaran bahasa Arab, konsep bias gender tersosialisasikan kepada para siswa-siswi. Hal ini diakibatkan kurang selektifnya guru dalam memilih bahan ajar.Fokus pada penelitian ini adalah untuk menjawab permasalahan mengenai bentuk bias gender dalam buku pelajaran bahasa Arab untuk tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah yang selama ini tersosialisasikan kepada siswa-siswi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas, tanpa disadari oleh para guru.Penelitian ini termasuk library research. Data diperoleh dari tulisantulisan yang berbicara tentang bias gender dalam buku pelajaran. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode content analysis. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, buku pelajaran bahasa Arab untuk tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah mempunyai peran yang sangat besar dan bermakna dalam penyampaian pesan-pesan kultur dan budaya, di antaranya tentang konsep bias gender. Dalam buku pelajaran bahasa Arab, bias gender tersosialisasikan melalui rumusan teks, kalimat dan gambar (ilustrasi dalam buku). Bentuk bias gender yang ditemukan adalah posisi mendominasi lakilaki dan tersubordinasinya perempuan, pelabelan sifat maskulin untuk lakilakidan feminim untuk perempuan, dan pembagian peran gender di mana lakilaki cenderung bekerja pada sektor publik, sementara perempuan pada sektor domestik. Sementara itu, bentuk bias gender yang paling banyak ditemukan dalam setiap buku pelajaran bahasa Arab adalah posisi mendominasi laki-laki dan tersubordinasinya perempuan, baik dalam rumusan teks, kalimat, maupun gambar.
