This research is motivated by the phenomenon of character education which lately has not been carried out optimally and the effectiveness of formal education has not been effective. Everywhere acts of violence and rounding or quarrels occur. This is very worrying for children. So that the teacher has an important role in forming and developing the character of students in the school environment, especially in carrying out learning activities. CTL learning is one of the learning models suitable for implementing student character education in thematic subjects. So the purpose of this study is to study more deeply about what character values are contained in thematic lessons through learning Contextual Teaching and Learning in Primary Elementary Schools ‘Aisyiyah Taman Harapan Curup and its implementation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman interactive models, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results of the research that have been carried out show that: (1) the character values in CTL learning in the thematic study of sub-themes 1 and 3 of learning 3 has 12 character values developed. These values are religious, disciplined, hard work, creative, independent, curiosity, love for the country, respect for achievement, caring for the social, responsible, friendly / communicative, and tolerance; (2) the form of character education implementation in CTL learning is realized in each thematic learning activity sub-themes 1 and 3 which are integrated with CTL aspects in it such as praying, praying, using learning media, conducting experiments, giving assignments, asking questions, presenting the results of the discussion, singing Indonesian songs, and doing practice questions.

Education is not only given to those who are in school. The Non-Formal Education Unit of the Banjar Regency Learning Activity Studio provides a place for all people who wish to continue to gain knowledge without having to worry about their social life. The social life that all learning citizens live is inseparable from the social studies education they learn at SPNF SKB Banjar Regency. With this learning process they can implement social studies education in their social life. The purpose of this study was to describe the social life of the learning citizens of SPNF SKB Banjar Regency by looking at the implementation they got in social studies education. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected by a process of observation, interviews and documentation. Analyze data by presenting data, data reduction and data verification. Meanwhile, to test the validity of the data is done by triangulation of places, techniques, and sources. The result of this research is a description of the social life of the learning citizens of SPNF SKB Banjar Regency both at school and in the family environment. The social life of the learning community also includes the implementation of social studies education obtained from the teaching and learning process. The processes that take place during their daily activities are able to show the role of social studies education as the basis of society.Keywords: Social Life, Social Studies Education, Non-Formal Education Unit

<p>The purpose of this research is to enhance learning motivation and learning achievement of character education in disciplinary values in grade III students of SDN 2 Japan, Dawe, Kudus 2014/2015 Academic Year. This research is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study are 25 of Students. Data are obtained using interviews, documentation and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive. The results of the classroom action<br />research show that; 1) Application of thematic learning with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach can appropriately increase motivation and learning achievement of character education in the discipline value of students in Elementary School 2 Jepang, Dawe sub-district, Kudus 2014/2015 Academic Year. Based on the results of the distribution of questionnaires on students' learning motivation, it was found that the success target of cycle I (76%) increased in cycle II to (96). 2) The advantage of thematic learning with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach is that learning becomes more meaningful because students are shown the material concepts with the real world experienced in everyday life. The weaknesses students are hesitant in expressing their opinions.</p>

Abstract. Educational environment is needed in the education process, because the educational environment serves to support the process of teaching and learning, a comfortable environment and support for the implementation of an education is needed. The environment is distinguished into the biological environment, the non-living natural environment, the artificial environment and the social environment. Education is one of the first obligations for parents. In Islam, the person most responsible for the education of the child is the parent. The family is the "smallest people" who have leaders and members, has a division of work and work, and the rights and obligations of each member. The best exemplary education for children is if both parents are able to connect their child with the example of Rasûlullâh SAW, as uswah of all mankind. Lingkungan pendidikan sangat dibutuhkan dalam proses pendidikan, sebab lingkungan pendidikan berfungsi menunjang terjadinya proses belajar mengajar, lingkungan yang nyaman dan mendukung bagi terselenggaranya suatu pendidikan sangat dibutuhkan. Lingkungan dibedakan menjadi lingkungan alam hayati, lingkungan alam non-hayati, lingkungan buatan dan lingkungan sosial. Pendidikan merupakan salah satu kewajiban pertama bagi orang tua. Dalam Islam, orang yang paling bertanggung jawab dalam pendidikan anak adalah orang tua. <p>The focus of this research is to describe the strategy of adversity quotient for the management of the Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM) to develop innovations in turning barriers into opportunities for non-formal education programs. Qualitative research with this type of case study was carried out at PKBM Mentari, using structured interviews as the primary data collection method, in order to obtain primary data and document matrix methods to obtain secondary data. the data were analyzed using interactive techniques belonging to Miles and Huberman with the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are the adversity quotient strategy that generally implemented by PKBM is very good, this can be seen from the indicators including: 1) Organizing learning activities flexibly in terms of time, so that it does not interfere with the daily activities of the community; 2) Provide learning at affordable costs so as not to burden the community in participating in learning; 3) Making the community the main partner in the continuation of teaching and learning activities at PKBM and 4) Building synergies with local village officials. The relatively short research time is the main limitation in compiling this study, so that it only maximizes the statements of the main informants. </p><p><strong> </strong></p>

The covid-19 pandemic affect a number of sectors, including the education services. To support the education sustainability and participate in breaking the chain of covid-19 transmission, the learning activity in SMK Negeri 2 Depok was modified to comply the social distancing policy. Teaching and learning activities conducted at the respective student's location via online media. This study aims to describe the implementation of online learning activities to describe the implementation of online assessment, and to determine the effectiveness of online learning activities in SMK Negeri 2 Depok during the covid-19 pandemic. Google classroom applications was employed for classroom management including making announcements related with learning activities, giving subject matters, delivering and collecting student assignments. Based on overall online activities, so it can be concluded that the implementation of online learning in SMK Negeri 2 Depok was effective.  Keywords: effectiveness, google classroom

<p>Textbooks have become the main element of teaching and learning process. Studies have been conducted to develop instructional materials for the subject of PKn SD at Elementary School Teacher Training Study Program, but there is still limited textbooks with character content, when character have been debating recently. This research is attempetd to develop textbook of PKn SD with character content, by measuring students’ activity, achievement and response. This research is cunducted by class evaluation research method by applying 4-D model. The subjects of the research are 20 students of 5D and 20 of 5I, PGSD-IKIP PGRI Madiun. The results of the research shows that: the learning activity is good by 77.6% of sctive students; 95% of students achieve threshold level by 80.75; textbook is suitable used in average 83.2% and have positive response against the textbook.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Keywords</strong>: Textbook, character education, PKn SD.</p>

General chemistry is a subject that being studied in almost every science course. The subject is closely related to the environment, so it will be very easy to learn when involve examples in everyday life. The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach is an approach that links the learning materials with the real-world environment. This research was conducted by using a CTL approach in a general chemistry subject which is one of the compulsory subjects in Biology Education Program of Tarbiyah Faculty UIN Ar-Raniry. The aim of this study was to determine the increase of student learning activities after using the CTL approach to general chemistry lecturing activities. The design of this study used action classroom research. This study was conducted to the first semester students. The student amount was 31 students. The instrument used was an observation sheet of learning activity. The results was obtained that the activities of the student during the learning process in the first cycle reached 70% and increased to 90% in cycle II. This proves that the application of CTL approach can increase the learning student’s activity of Biology Education Studies in general chemistry courses.

2013 curriculum is a must thematic learning applied in elementary, this is because the basic thematic learning is explained in Attachment to the Minister of Education Regulation No. 67 of 2013 concerning the Basic Framework and Curriculum Structure of Elementary Schools / Islamic Elementary School that for the learning process at the elementary levels from grade 1 to grade VI uses integrated thematic learning. Thematic learning in application needs to use appropriate methods in its application so that learning objectives can be accepted by students. Learning methods with Contextual Teaching and Learning become an appropriate alternative when paired with thematic learning. The focus of research in this thesis is How is the Implementation of Planning, Implementation and Evaluation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in Thematic Learning Class IV-B Islamic Elementary School Negeri 6 Jember Academic Year 2019/2020 ?. This study aims to Explain the Implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Planning, Implementation in Thematic Learning Class IV-B Islamic Elementary School 6 Jember Academic Year 2019/2020. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of descriptive research. In determining the research subject using Purposive Sampling and using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation.   Kurikulum 2013 menjadi keharusan pembelajaran tematik diterapkan di SD/MI, hal ini dikarenakan dasar pembelajran tematik dijelaskan dalam Lampiran Permendikbud RI No. 67 Tahun 2013 tentang Kerangka Dasar dan Struktur Kurikulum Sekolah Dasar/ Madrasah Ibtidaiyah bahwa untuk proses pembelajaran pada jenjang SD/MI dari kelas 1 hingga kelas VI menggunakan pembelajaran tematik terpadu. Pembelajaran tematik dalam penerapan perlu menggunakan metode-metode yang tepat dalam penerapannya agar maksud pembelajaran dapat di terima oleh siswa. Metode pembelajaran dengan Contextual Teaching And Learning  menjadi alternatif yang tepat bila di padukan dengan pembelajaran tematik. Fokus penelitian dalam skripsi ini adalah Bagaimana Penerapan Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan dan Evaluasi Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)  pada Pembelajaran Tematik Kelas IV-B Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 6 Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Menjelaskan Penerapan Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan dan Evaluasi Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)  pada Pembelajaran Tematik Kelas IV-B Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 6 Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. This study is aware of the management of Early Childhood Education through National Character Education based on Democracy. The problems of this study are: 1) What is the process of applying the management of Early Childhood Education through the National Character Education based on Democracy; 2) Can through the management of Early Childhood Education be implemented the National Character Education based on Democracy. The type of research used the classroom action research which seeks to examine and reflect in depth some aspects of teaching and learning activities. The focus of this research is the management of Early Childhood Education through National Character Education based on human resources and local education activities with the management of Early Childhood Education. The subjects was the subject of the study TK PGRI Standard Corawali, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, consisting of 25 children consisting of 10 boys and 15 girls. The instrument that will be used is observation, tests and documentation. Data to be processed by percentage analysis and presented in the form of descriptions and presentations. The implementation plan begins with asking questions, thinking together and answering; 2) Application of the approach to improving learning outcomes and increasing character in TK PGRI Standard Corawali to apply the character of children. The goals and objectives of education held in schools are formal and informal channels. The main target of education can be achieved well, it needs to be initiated in the concept of integration through a character approach to TK PGRI Standard Corawali.

Social networking platforms are becoming the most important tools for interaction among people, where everybody can share, exchange, comment, discuss, and create information and knowledge in a collaborative way. The aim of this chapter is to examine the perception of stakeholders on the use of social network tools for classroom instruction in school environment in Ibadan North Local Government of Oyo State. Based on literature and experiences carried out by the researcher in Ibadan metropolis, it also explores the impact of the social networking platforms applications on personal, teaching, and learning uses among secondary students, teachers, and parents. Based on these, it is recommended that, if social networking platforms are effectively used, it will develop positive attitude towards learning as well as enhancing academic achievement among secondary school students.
