Many efforts have been made to improve the quality, one of which is lesson study. The service activities aim to make teachers comprehensively understand the concepts, advantages of lesson study, and be skilled in planning, implementing and evaluating lesson study reflections. This service emphasizes practice and is mentoring so that participants are more interested in participating in activities because the provision of assistance or guidance is more personal. The steps of service activities are as follows: (1) preparation stage; (2) implementation stage; (3) the stage of mentoring and monitoring; (4) evaluation and reporting stage. With an implementation model that is more based on direct classroom practice by participants, it is more likely that participants are skilled in carrying out lesson study and can be sustainable, including being applied in mentoring students participating in PPL FKIP UNRAM. The results showed that the participants were enthusiastic about participating in the service and understood well and comprehensively about the basic concepts of lesson study, had a good understanding of the advantages of implementing lesson study to improve the learning process, teachers had a good understanding of the techniques of implementing lesson study in schools, skilled in planning, implementing and evaluating and reflecting on the implementation of lesson study.

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman Kepala Sekolah PAUD dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran yang menarik bagi siswa. Tema pengabdian yang dipilih adalah game edukatif sebagai media pembelajaran. Dari beberapa metode pengabdian maka dipilih metode pengabdian partisipatif. Kegiatan pengabdian berupa pembelajaran dilakukan pada tanggal 9 November 2019 dengan jumlah keseluruhan peserta 34 orang. Kegiatan pengabdian berupa pembelajaran dilakukan oleh tim pelaksana bersama dengan para Kepala Sekolah PAUD yang tergabung di Kelompok Kerja Kepala Sekolah (K3 PAUD) di Alalak Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan tahapan dimulai dari tahap persiapan, dan tahap pelaksanaan yang mencakup pemaparan materi dan pembuatan game edukatif. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah bahwa pelaksanan Bimbingan Teknis berlangsung lancar. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim pelaksana telah berhasil mencapai tujuan yaitu para peserta bimbingan teknik di Alalak Kabupaten Barito Kuala tersebut mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pembuatan game edukatif sebagai media pembelajaran yang menarik bagi anak-anak PAUD. Para peserta Bimbingan Teknis terlihat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembuatan game edukatif dengan mampu membuat game edukatif mengenal buah dan angka.This service aims to increase the understanding of the Principal of PAUD in making learning media interesting for students. The chosen theme of service is educational games as learning media. Of the several methods of service, the method of participatory service chosen. Community service activities took place on November 9, 2019, with a total of 34 participants. Service activities in the form of learning are carried out by the implementing team and the Principals of PAUD Schools. They are members of the School Principal Work Group (K3 PAUD) in Alalak, Barito Kuala Regency. The activity is carried out with stages starting from the preparation stage and the implementation stage, including the presentation of material and making educational games. The results obtained are that the implementation of Technical Guidance takes place smoothly. This activity has succeeded in achieving the goal that the technical guidance participants in Alalak Barito Kuala Regency have increased knowledge and skills about making educational games as an exciting learning medium for PAUD children. The Technical Guidance participants seemed enthusiastic in participating in the activities of creating educational games by being able to make educational games to recognize fruit and numbers.

The purpose of this service activity is to provide knowledge about the importance of digital marketing in the era of industry 4.0, as well as provide direct training on making videos as a medium for promotion. The object of the service activity is the entire Management of Omah Smart Farmers Tourism Object (OPP) Kandri Tourism Village and Tourism Awareness Group Managers (Pokdarwis) Semarang City. Service activities are carried out in three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation monitoring stage. The results of the service activities consist of the preparation stage in the form of coordination with the Head of the Kandri Tourism Village to find out the problems that exist in the Kandri Tourism Village. The service activity was considered successful, as evidenced by the implementation stage of all participants who were targeted to attend and were very enthusiastic in asking questions during the training. Many participants asked for advice in determining the right material to promote, and various tricks to get interesting promotional media. At the monitoring stage, the service team communicates through social media to find out the development of service activities. And the evaluation stage is carried out by asking for feedback from service participants as the basis for improving further service activities. the service team communicates through social media to find out the development of service activities. SMTK Teon Nila Serua is one of the schools which its  learning process are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This school does not have its own Learning Management System so an alternative is made for students to study in groups in their respective villages and will be visited by the teacher every month. Several problems were found such as unattractive material in the form of a text module, students’ difficulty in understanding hardcopy teaching materials, and reprinted teaching materials that should be taken by all students living quite far from the school location. The purpose of this training is to overcome these problems with training on making interactive videos and training on the use of Google Classroom for teachers and students. Activities are carried out in four stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage, evaluation, and program sustainability. This activity has been carried out well where there has been an increase in participants' understanding in making interactive videos by 95% and the use of Google Classroom in simulating the teaching and learning process by 90%.

The problem of waste or garbage in large cities is also the focus of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This article aims to describe ecobrick activities as a solution to dealing with plastic and fabric waste in East Jakarta. The method used is empowerment by using several stages, namely the preparation stage and the implementation stage. Partners in this activity are women from RW 04 Perumnas Klender, East Jakarta, DKI Jakarta. Community service activities were carried out in March-April 2020. This service encourages partners to be actively involved, in the form of collecting various types of waste that have been determined, discussing materials, ecobrick techniques, and product manufacturing. To evaluate the activity, documentation is carried out in the form of attendance, photos, videos, and the resulting products. The service activities run according to plan, in the form of two stages, namely the preparation stage and the implementation stage (Socialization and explanation of plastic bottle and cloth waste, the impact on the environment and training in managing plastic bottle waste and leftover cloth into useful products). Partners are enthusiastic about participating in this “Ecobrick” activity and producing useful seat products. Partners can take their time to make this product. In addition to protecting the environment, this program also has added value for the community. The recommendation for the next program activity is training on marketing its products both conventionally and online, to deal with this pandemic condition.

Lesson study is a systematic, collaborative, and sustainable method of improving the quality of learning. Lesson study emphasizes the exploration of students’ learning needs; teacher openness towards learning difficulties encountered; the willingness of teachers to receive and provide advice and solutions to the difficulties encountered; and the consistency of the various parties to follow up the suggestions and solutions. Implementation of lesson study involving teachers, principals, and experts in the field of education. Kurikulum tingkat satuan pendidikan or abbreviated KTSP is operational curriculum formulated and implemented by each educational unit. KTSP has the characteristics, namely: giving broad autonomy to the educational unit, involving the community and parent participation, involving the democratic leadership of the principal, and require the support of a working team that is synergistic and transparent. KTSP based on the learning process, needs to be supported by a conducive learning environment and fun to be created by teachers.Teachers and principals in a professional, systematic and collaborative create an atmosphere that fosters independence, tenacity, entrepreneurial spirit, adaptive and proactive nature of the learning process. Thus, the learning needs of students who fulfilled optimally and professional ability of teacher who have increased on an ongoing basis, may usher in success – based learning KTSP. It means that the lesson study provides positive implications for the KTSP – based learning.

The purpose of the article is made to inform about the notion of educational administration, the importance of educational administration and the purpose of educational administration. It is important that we know the education administration in order to be able to implement the knowledge gained as educators later. The technique used in making this article is by collecting data related to material sourced from books, article journals, and other sources related to the science of basic concepts of educational administration and analyzing the material with the literature method which aims to help find truth from the material discussed. Administration is an educational institution which is a main source of management in regulating the teaching and learning process in an orderly manner so that the most important goal is achieved at the educational institution, where the purpose of education administration itself is to provide systematic work in managing education so that educational operational tasks can be carried out effective and efficiency towards the goals or objectives that have been set.

PurposeThis paper presented the learning process of a group of primary mathematics teachers who participated in two iterations of lesson design, enactment and reflection in a Chinese Lesson Study.Design/methodology/approachAn expansive learning theory was employed to examine the teachers’ learning process in lesson study (LS) on representing fractions on a number line. The evolution of a germ cell was utilized to feature the transformation of the object of activity from abstract to concrete through resolving contradictions among LS members. The videos of lesson planning, research lessons (RLs) and debriefing meetings were collected and analyzed to reveal the expansive learning process.FindingsThe analysis showed that the teachers expanded their learning through transforming the object from diffuse to concrete and expanded through consciously articulating the germ cell. The outcomes of object-oriented activity include improving the enacted lesson which promoted students’ conceptual understanding.Originality/valueThis study made a unique contribution to understanding the learning process of teachers in Chinese LS from the perspective of expansive learning.

The low level of public awareness in Balong Hamlet, Bibis Hamlet, and Kowen 2 Hamlet, Timbulharjo Village, Sewon, Bantul regarding clean and healthy living habits, both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this community empowerment activity is to provide education about clean and healthy living habits and mental health so that there is an increase in public knowledge and awareness. This activity is carried out using the lecture, question and answer method, and case studies. This activity is carried out in three stages: the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the reporting stage. The activities were carried out on 15, 16, and 17 February 2021, involving 70 people and three students. The results of this empowerment activity are evidenced by the existence of community empowerment which is shown through increasing knowledge about clean and mentally healthy living behaviors (p-value = 0.000). Education with the theme of clean and mentally healthy living habits needs to be carried out regularly to remind people of preventing Covid-19. Besides, it can also prevent public boredom in implementing clean and mentally healthy living behaviors.

The practice of field recognition (PPL) is one of the main educational activities at the Immigration Polytechnic. The Taruna annually will conduct this activity and can be placed anywhere throughout Indonesia. When implementing the field introduction practice Taruna is expected to apply the theory that in the learning process can be real as supporting the skills before plunging directly at the place of placement when already graduated. A taruna is not only demanded to be smart academically, the taruna formed a healthy attitude and mental to be a leader and a useful person in the future. As a community servant, the welfare and prosperity of society also became the responsibility of the cadets who would someday work with the government. One of the forms of caring for the community can be realized with the simple things like social service, Socialisai and other positive actions that can give positive influence to the community. Therefore, when implementing the field introduction practice the Taruna also conducts community devotion as a manifestation of taruna concern to the community and the environment around the area of work Unit field introduction
