This study aims to determine the implementation of Islamic education management at SMK Muhammadiyah Kajen. In this case, the researcher used a qualitative method with a phenomenology approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documents. In addition, to maintain data accuracy, researchers used data triangulation methods. While the research informants were the principal, teachers, and parents of students. The results of this study indicate that SMK Muhammadiyah Kajen implements: 1) Semangat Subuh, this culture is done to train students to obey congregational prayers and wake up in the morning; 2) Memorizing juz Amma, to get students used to always reading al-Qur'an every day; 3) Pesantren Ramadhan, namely Islamic activities about fikih, akidah akhlak, and sirah nabawiyah. In addition to strengthening student character, Islamic boarding schools are friendly and can also instill a culture of student literacy.Keywords: Character, Islamic Education, Islamic Literacy

Educational management is an important reference in the management of industrial-based Islamic boarding schools. When the management of a leader must go through several things, including planning, organizing, and planning industry-based learning. This research includes a qualitative descriptive approach to da'wah management. The data source used in this research is a literature review. Collecting data in this study using observation, interviews, and documentation. Islamic boarding school Darussalam Al-Fatah Cilacap is an industry-based Islamic boarding school. This was done to follow developments in the industrial revolution 4.0. Therefore, researchers feel it is important for the management of Islamic education at the Darussalam Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school in Cilacap. The results of the application of Islamic education management include, a) soroggan, with the bin-nazhr method, the tahfidz method, the talaqqi method, and the tikrar method, b) taddabur, c) habituation of the Hasbanah and Isyraq prayers, d) rewards for students, e ) the application of industrial learning, and f) the benefits of evaluating industry-based learning at the Darussalam Al-Fatah Cilacap Islamic boarding school.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of Islamic education in Kemuhamadiyahan in shaping the character of students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Baubau. This research uses a qualitative method. Namely, research that goes to the place of research directly to make observations about a phenomenon in a scientific situation. Following the theme that the researcher discussed and the type of research used was field research. Collecting data using interviews, documentation, and observation. The results showed that: 1) implementation of al-Islamic education Kemuhamadiyahan in shaping character at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Baubau is applied in learning with habituation and giving examples and inculcating character values in students through learning materials, methods, and evaluation in learning. 2) There are several character-building implementations, there are several obstacles and solutions offered. The barrier is the lack of intensity in providing direction and habituation which still has weaknesses. The solution offered is the need for collaboration with parents or guardians in intense supervision and habituation. 3) The results of the implementation of al-Islamic Kemuhamadiyahan education in shaping character, namely building and shaping the attitudes and morals of students. So that students have an attitude of respect and appreciation. Fostering the religious level and motivation to worship students. So that students have the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence of students to develop properly.Keywords: Education, Kemuhammadiyahan, Character

This paper discusses the concept of management of character education in MTs Raudhatul Islamiyah Kemiri, the concept in question is the pattern of character growth of students with various supporting elements such as madrasa activities, rules or regulations, and content of Islamic education lessons that are applied in MTs Raudhatul Islamiyah Kemiri. In addition to these supporting elements, in order to grow the character of morality also has several strategies in supporting the achievement of character education management concepts such as: exemplary, learning, empowerment and acculturation, retention, and assessment. At this time Character becomes important for human life, especially for the next generation of nation. Therefore character education becomes important in school. However, the achievement of character values must be applied with good management. Character education management is a planned effort to make learners recognize, care and internalize the values so that learners are able to grow its character that consists of the process of planning, organizing, implementation and supervision.

The background of this research is: researcher’s anxiety towards the character of the nation that is experiencing moral decadence, such as increasing free association, drug abuse, and so forth. In this case the school especially in the learning of Akidah Akhlak have a big role in the awareness of Islamic religious values to learners. This research uses qualitative method. Research location in MIN Sekuduk and MIN Pemangkat Kabuaten Sambas. Data collection is done by observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis was done by cross-case analysis. The result of the research shows that: (1) learning planning of Aqidah Akhlak as an effort of character building is by designing lesson planning by involving Media, (2) application of teacher learning of Aqidah Akhlak in effort of character building of student which done have referring to order or rule which have Planned and determined in every activity or learning process in Basic education institution/ MI, (3) evaluation of teacher learning of Aqidah Akhlak usually in the form of examination of task from teacher, daily test, UTS value and UAS saswa test. Submission of learning Aqidah morals in the formation of student characters in applied by the subject teachers from each location of the study led to very satisfactory results.Keywords: Character Education, Learning Aqidah Morals in MI

AbstractPesantren Nurussalam Ciamis is often associated with the movement of Abu Bakar Ba’asyir who was caught in Banjar in August 2010. Even in 2013, this Islamic boarding school is linked again with the arrest of terrorist Anton whois allegedly an alumnus of Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School. After the bombing of Thamrin on January 14, 2016, Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School is indicated by the National Agency for Combating Terrorism (BNPT) as one of radical Islamic boarding schools. The question is whether Nurussalam Islamic Boarding School is really a source of radicalism. To answer that question, wesee two aspects of Pesantren Nurussalam namely its education method and religious understanding. Through qualitative method, it is found that Pesantren Nurussalam education system generally refers to the national education system plus Islamic education system adopted from Gontor and Ngruki models. The educational system built is not separated from the religious understanding ofthe founders and managers who understand salaf, more precisely salaf puris cooperationis. This research is motivated by representatives of change in education in traditional Islamic boarding schools which are academic considerations of the tradition and mordenization of the pesantren education system which the leaders of Islamic education have raised more goals for pesantren. Therefore this study was formulated to describe the Renewal of Management of Traditional Islamic Boarding Schools in Al-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in the Object of Sirampog Brebes, Central Java. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive research. This research succeeded in completing the renewal of the pesantren tradsional Al-Hikmah Education. The Sirampog Brebes object functioned integrally in responding to changes based on the pesantren culture which contained First, the purpose of the pesantren education that could not be used for tafaqquh fi al-din would also be used for this information, social and politics and technology. Second, the aspect of pesantren education programs is adaptive while maintaining the kitab kuning (classic book) that is adapted to current knowledge and technology. The third Islamic boarding school, the innovative aspect, using the sorogan, bandongan and wetonan models that are characteristic of pesantren, but there are efforts to improve the pattern of pesantren in the supported pesantren, and teaching materials, values ​​and ways of life in pesantren, because has advantages.

Character building is an integral part of the main objective of education. Not only related to the development of scientific insights, but Islamic education is also oriented to the formation of morals (character). In Indonesia, the educational figure Ki Hajar Dewantara has a unique perspective on education and its strategy in shaping students' character. In this research, several problem formulations are proposed, including 1) what is the method of character building according to Ki Hajar Dewantara ?, 2) How is the character-building method in Islamic education? This type of research is research (Library Research), which takes library materials that have something to do with the problem under study. This research concludes that character education, according to Ki Hajar Dewantara consists of among, ngemong and among as well as ngerti, ngrasa and nglakoni. Meanwhile, its relevance to Islamic education is the concept of character building Ki Hajar combining morality, intellect and spirituality, the three of which are circularly applicable in the concept of Islamic faith, which is not only limited to believing and understanding, but also implementing it in everyday life

Degradation of moral consciousness, especially in the politic and Indonesian government bureaucracy, in recent times that was pictured by various anomalies and immorality, such as a corruption, has become a negative “cultural norm”, which seem very difficult to be controlled. The condition of national spirit and morality suggested the need of redevelopment of model of character education (character building) as a national healing. Imam Zarkasyi implemented several principles of character building in the Pesantren of Darussalam Gontor. He taught his pupils on the basis of the virtues of the excellences with refer to the Panca Jiwa and the Four Mottos of Modernity of the Pesantren as their living values. His reformative efforts in the context of contemporary Islamic education are actually intended to the development of character, in other words, “character building”, by implementing the principle of the Golden Mean of Ibn Miskawaih. Some aspects of Zarkasyi's principles of education that might be supportive for developing the national character education program, and still relevant for today are: firstly, moral education should have the leadership insights; secondly, moral education should have the objective moral values as the teleological purposes; thirdly, moral education should be built through the best environment, in order to be optimized and efficient; and fourthly, moral education curriculum should be integrated and comprehensive. So, the Zarkasyi's concept of character building, and the education movement became the concept of character education that quite mature and should be extracted by our nation.

          This study aims to determine the holistic education at Al Hamidiyah Islamic boarding school in Depok, the existence of Holistic education management at the Al Hamidiyah Islamic boarding school in Depok, which includes planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring aspects, and to determine the efforts to improve Holistic management in Islamic Education in Islamic Boarding Schools Al Hamidiyah. Ideally Al Hamidiyah Islamic Boarding School has set the foundation for the implementation of Holistic education. From the management aspect, Holistic education management functions have also been established and implemented. Therefore a research with a qualitative approach was conducted. The research technique was carried out by interview, observation and document review techniques. The results showed that the Al Hamidiyah Sawangan Islamic Boarding School in Depok had organized a Holistic education as seen in its vision, mission, and special objectives and various activities. Such education is inseparable from the history of its founder and the environmental conditions that surround it, both at its inception, the history of its development, to the present condition. Holistic education management implemented or organized by the Al Hamidiyah Islamic Boarding School in Depok has used the stages of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising in the education process in general and learning in particular at various types and levels of education at the Al Hamidiyah Islamic Boarding School. There are still a number of deficiencies in the implementation of Holistic education in Al Hamidiyah Islamic Boarding School, in addition to a number of advantages possessed. Among the shortcomings are superior human resources, incomplete facilities and infrastructure, and the use of information technology that has not been maximized. This study aimed to describe the character-based education management Javanese culture as well as enabling and inhibiting factors in TK Negeri Pembina Surakarta. This study uses qualitative research, research design using qualitative descriptive method. Implementation of this research is in the TK Negeri Pembina Surakarta. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Source of the data obtained through interviews and documentation. As a guest speaker in this study was the Principal Teachers and Parents / guardians of students. The validity of the data used in this research is triangulation and source triangulation method. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion we concluded that: 1) The management of education-based character of Javanese culture in TK Negeri Pembina Surakarta carried out by adjusting the curriculum and educational materials charged Javanese culture integrates the material elements of the arts, languages and social systems of Javanese culture, delivering materials charged the value of honesty, humility, discipline, courtesy, cooperation, caring, and responsibility; and deliver material which imparts the principles of respect, harmony, character wise and honest, introspective, low self-esteem, as well as upload form-ungguh and good manners as a form of character Java. 2) The supporting factors in the management of Javanese culture-based character education is education offices and local governments, provision of facilities, committee and parents of students, school management, as well as students coming from the Java community. Factors inhibiting Javanese culture-based education is the lack of standard guidelines for the implementation of educational programs that charged Javanese culture, interests learners to Javanese culture, as well as operate and circumstances on ignorance educators learn less supportive media to use.
