Abstract: The purpose of this study is to anticipate the occurrence of corporate financial difficulties, and to determine the effect of operating capacity, leverage, and profitability on financial distress in goods and consumption industry companies The population in this study used goods and consumption industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2018, using purpose sampling data collection techniques, the sample in this study were 44 companies with a period of 4 years. The results of this study prove that simultaneously operating capacity, leverage and profitability significantly influence financial distress. While partially operating capacity and leverage does not affect financial distress, while profitability peroxided with return on equity has an influence on financial distress. Keywords; Financial Distress, Operating Capacity, Leverage, Profitability, Return on Equity Abstrak: Tujuan daripada penelitian ini untuk mengantisipasi terjadinya kesulitan keuangan perusahaan, dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh operating capacity, leverage, dan profitabilitas terhadap financial distress pada perusahaan industri barang dan konsumsi. Populasi yang dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perusahaan industri barang dan konsumsi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2015-2018, dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data purposive sampling, sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 44 perusahaan dengan periode 4 tahun. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa secara simultan operatimg capacity, leverage dan profitabilitas berpengaruh terhadap financial distress. Sedangkan secara parsial operating capacity dan leverage tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress, sedankan profitabilitas yang diproksi kan dengan return on equity memiliki pengaruh terhadap financial distress. AbstractThis research aims to study the effect of good corporate governance on financial distress directly and mediated by financial performance. The study population was a manufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2016. The study sample was determined using the purposive sampling method, which produced 137 companies that met the requirements. The research data uses secondary data in the form of financial statements and annual reports of manufacturing companies obtained through the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. The analytical tool to test the research hypothesis is Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS). This study aims to determine the effect of Return On Equity, Change In Total Assets on Price Book Value with Debt To Equity as an intervening in metal sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study is an associative study with documentation data collection techniques, the population in this study This amounted to 16 companies and samples taken amounted to 14 companies. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. The analytical method used is path analysis. The results showed that Return On Equity had a positive and significant effect on Debt To Equity, Return On Equity had a positive and insignificant effect on Price Book Value, Growth Assets had a positive and insignificant effect on Debt To Equity, Growth Assets had a positive and insignificant effect on Price Book Value, Debt to Equity has a positive and insignificant effect on Price Book Value, Debt to Equity as a mediation on Return On Equity and Price Book Value has a negative and insignificant effect, Debt to Equity as a mediation on Growth Assets and Price Book Value has a negative and negative effect not significant.

Failure to make a continuous profit will hamper the company's development and this can lead to bankruptcy. Bankruptcy is usually marked by financial distress. Companies that are not able to overcome financial difficulties and problems are getting protracted, then the company will go bankrupt. One way to predict bankruptcy is by using discriminant analysis. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The data collection method used is documentation. The population in this study were Textile & Garment companies listed on the IDX in 2016-2018. The sampling technique was purposive sampling and obtained a sample of 8 companies with a potential bankruptcy and 10 companies for 3 years of observation. The results showed that of the 2 financial ratios used Quick Ratio (QR) and Return On Asset (ROA), only the Quick Ratio (QR) ratio proved significant to be able to distinguish bankrupt and non-bankrupt companies. By using discriminant analysis. The dominant variable informing the discriminant function is the Quick Ratio (QR).

This study aims to examine the effect of CR, DER and ROE on Financial Distress in the Automotive and Components subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2019. Sampling using purposive sampling and found 8 companies that meet the criteria of 13 companies as a sample. So that the sample studied was 40 data for 5 years. This research method uses the quantitative method of descriptive and verification approaches. Based on the results of tests conducted using SPSS it can be concluded with the T test, and the F Test that is CR and DER does not affect Financial Distress, while ROE affects Financial Distress. with the results of simultaneous research that CR, DER and ROE affect Financial Distress. and the Determination Coefficient study in this study also found that CR, DER and ROE together can explain Financial Distress of 27.7% and there are still 72.3% of other factors that influence Financial Distress. Financial distress is the financial difficulties experience by a company before the company become bankruptcy (Mafiroh, 2016). The purpose of this study was to determine which firms would be predicted financial distress. The population in this research is manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015. In this study, the population is used 365 companies. The process of collecting samples are using purposive sampling method. The model used to analyze the rate of financial distress is Altman Z-Score Model. The results showed that of the 15 companies that were sampled 5 (five) of them were healthy (>2,99), 2 (two) of them were financial distress (<1,81) and 8 (eight) indicated in grey area (1,81 – 2,99).

Financial distress is an indication that the company is in financial difficulties. This condition also occurs in banking companies, given the recent pandemic conditions that are disrupted the company's operational activities. Therefore, the company can take preventive measures by having attention to the health performance of the bank using financial ratios. This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Operational Costs and Income (BOPO) on financial distress. The population in this study are banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2019 period. Sampling is collected using the purposive sampling technique and obtained from 40 banking companies that meet the criteria. Data are analyzed using multiple linear regression. In this study, the result shows that Capital Adequacy Ratio and Operational Costs and Income have an effect on financial distress. Meanwhile, Non-Performing Loans, Return on Assets, and Return on Equity has no effect on financial distress.

AbstractThis study takes the topic of predicting corporate bankruptcies. This research dqlam use traditional methods Altman Z-Score and Zmijewski. The purpose of this study was to obtain in-depth information about predicting bankruptcy of companies that are not necessarily directly to bankruptcy, but there is financial distress.Based on the results of research conducted on the four (4) non industrial manufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). Obtaining the value z-score represents the average company are in good condition, which means no financial distress. Acquisition value of x-score has a value of less than 0 (zero) which means that the company is in good condition and is predicted not experiencing financial difficulties. This study led to the conclusion that the Altman Z-Score and Zmijewski method can be used to predict corporate bankruptcy. Keywords: Financial Ratios, Bankruptcy, Company.

The study of this research is to determine the effect of returning shares in manufacturing companies. This study uses the financial ratios contained in the company's financial statements. The financial ratios used in this study are the current ratio, return on equity, and earnings per share to stock returns in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange in 2010-2019. This type of research used in this research is quantitative and the analytical method used is purposive sampling using SPSS 21 as many 10 manufacturing companies in the food, beverage, textile, rubber goods (tires), fisheries, and agriculture sectors. Data collection techniques are used by retrieving data through the website www.idx.co.id. The results showed that Current Ratio (CR) has a positive and significant effect on Stock Returns, Return On Equity (ROE) has a positive and significant effect on Stock Returns, and Earning Per Share (EPS) has a negative and significant effect on Stock Return.

<p><strong><em>ABSTRACT :  </em></strong><em>Stakeholders pay attention to the earnings report, thus encouraging company managers to plan strategies to produce reports expected by stakeholders. Earnings management is one way that can be done. Managers can intervene the earnings management by increasing or decreasing profit in order to achieve a certain level of profit which benefits himself or the company. This study aims to determine the influence of free cash flow, financial distress, and investment opportunity set on earnings management. </em><em>The research sample consisted of 11 infrastructure, utility, and transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2018 with the total sample of 55 data. This study used a purposive sampling method and was tested with SPSS 22.0 Software. The results show that the data have met the pooling test, classical assumptions and established criteria. The results of the F test show that the earnings management variable is affected simultaneously by free cash flow, financial distress, and investment opportunity set variables. The t test results show that the free cash flow and investment opportunity set have a significant positive effect on earnings management, whereas financial distress does not. In sum, there is enough evidence that free cash flow and investment opportunity set positively affect earnings management, but financial distress does not have enough evidence to influence earnings management.</em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords: </em></strong><em> Earnings Management, Free Cash Flow, Investment Opportunity Set, Financial Distress.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><strong>ABSTRAK:</strong> Laporan laba menjadi perhatian para <em>stakeholders</em> sehingga mendorong manajer perusahaan melakukan perencanaan strategi untuk menghasilkan laporan yang diharapkan <em>stakeholder</em>. Manajemen laba adalah salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan. Intervensi manajer untuk melakukan manajemen laba dengan cara menaikkan atau menurunkan laba guna mencapai tingkat laba tertentu untuk menguntungkan dirinya sendiri atau perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh <em>free cash flow, financial distress, </em>dan <em>investment opportunity set </em>terhadap manajemen laba. Sampel penelitian ini adalah perusahaan infrastruktur, utilitas, dan transportasi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2014-2018. Total sampel yang digunakan adalah 11 perusahaan dengan data observasi yang diperoleh sebanyak 55. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah <em>non-probability sampling</em> dengan menggunakan metode <em>purposive sampling</em> dan pengujian yang dilakukan dengan bantuan <em>software</em> SPSS 22.0. Hasil penelitian dari data yang digunakan,  untuk uji pooling dan asumsi klasik telah lulus uji dan sudah memenuhi kriteria yang ditetapkan. Hasil uji F menunjukkan bahwa variable manajemen laba dipengaruhi secara simultan oleh variable <em>free cash flow, financial distress, </em>dan <em>investment opportunity set. </em>Dari hasil uji t memperlihatkan hasil bahwa <em>free cash flow </em>dan<em> investment opportunity set </em>mempunyai nilai signifikan positif terhadap manajemen laba, tapi untuk <em>financial distress </em>tidak mempunyai nilai signifikan terhadap manajemen laba. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah<em> free cash flow </em>dan <em>investment opportunity set </em>berpengaruh positif terhadap manajemen laba, sedangkan <em>financial distress </em>tidak berpengaruh terhadap manajemen laba.</p><p><strong>Kata Kunci:</strong> Manajemen Laba,<em> Free Cash Flow,  Investment Opportunity Set, Financial Distress</em></p><p> </p>
