<p>The aim of this study is to identify the internal and external factors in the company after being taken over by the Government of Indonesia from Japanese investors and to formulate appropriate strategies to improve the performance of the company after the takeover by Indonesian government to be supporting the national aluminum industry that can fulfill the needs of the domestic aluminum and simultaneously increase profitability. This type of research is action research, with a population of 78 (seventy eight), which consists of five Directors, 21, General Managers, 49 Managers and 3 consultants in the aluminum industry. Data were analyzed with IFE and EFE matrix, then analysed by SWOT analysis and IE Matrix which produces Grow and Build strategy with the strategies used are either integrative strategy of backward integration, forward integration, as well as horizontal integration and diversification.</p>

This study aims to identify the internal and external factors, analyzing alternative strategy, and recommends priority strategy. This research using matrix IFE, EFE, SWOT, IE and TOPSIS (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution). The results show that the company has 5 strengths, 6 weaknesses, 4 opportunities and 4 threats in this business. The results showed that the value of internal factor evaluation (IFE) was 3,350 and external factor evaluation (EFE) was 3,063. This value indicated a strong position. In the matrix Internal-External (IE) strategy that must be done was to grow and develop a strategy, which consists an intensive strategies (market penetration, market development and product development) and integrative strategies (backward integration, forward integration, and horizontal integration. Based on SWOT analysis there are 7 alternative strategies that can be recommended to develop UD. Bali Gendis. The result of strategy ranking analysis is promoting periodically and socializing the benefits of rosela tea actively to introduce more products to the public. This research purpose to analyze the strategic and technical to encourage the potential of Regional Original Revenue (PAD) from the Groundwater Tax sector owned by Garut Regency. In this research used the descriptive method of research and qualitative approach to obtain the illustration of groundwater tax potential in Garut Regency. The primary and secondary data obtained by depth-interview technique to The Regional Revenue Office of Garut Regency. The data analysis using the formula on the growth, contribution and potential. Besides that, in this research use SWOT analysis to identify internal and external factors that influence the achievement of organizational goals based on strengths, weakness, opportunity, and threatness. The result of this research based on the growth measurement obtained the average of the ground water tax reached -13.65% while the contribution of ground water tax to the regional tax was 0.83%. Thus, to repair this condition based on the SWOT analysis the government of Garut Regency needs to conduct the intensification and extensification to increase groundwater tax revenues in Garut Regency as rejuvenating the policy of groundwater tax strategy in Garut Regency.

Marketing strategy is a comprehensive plan, integrated, and unified in the field of marketing, which is obtained from the identification of internal and external factors. The aims of this research were to identify the internal and external factors and to find the alternative of marketing strategy of salak pondoh in Padang Pengrapat Village Tanah Grogot Subdistrict Paser District. Research was held from August to October 2017. The sampling method was census with 30 respondents. Data was analyzed by using SWOT analysis. The main strength is the capital and the main opportunity is the ability to enter the market. The best alternative strategy is Strength Opportunities (SO). The strategies are maintain the quality of salak pondoh fruit to be able to retain customers and develop the market, products innovation by utilizing the existing technology, request the government assistance to increase productivity through intensification of salak pondoh field. Identification of internal factors are capital structure, land area, fruit quality, product innovation of planning type, production capacity, planning capability, human resource quality, transportation, and promotion facilities. External factors are market entry ability, technology utilization, customer, government policy, policy of environmental, economic and political, customer, competitor, product substitution, and influence of fuel price increase.

Electronic-based Government System (SPBE) is the government's effort in developing an electronic-based government organization, so that there is an increase in the quality of public services. The system that runs in Sukabungah which is still manual and the lack of providing information to the community related to village services is an obstacle in improving the quality of the organization. Therefore the use of organizational development strategy analysis is very necessary for the Sukabungah village office  to achieve maximum organizational strategy. In this study the method used in improving the quality of service is the SWOT analysis, which is used to develop the potential of the organization and to find out internal and external factors of the organization. In the SWOT analysis that has been carried out on Sukabungah village office it can be seen that Sukabungah village office is included in the quadrant I strategy which means supporting an aggressive strategy, therefore in developing an organization that will be achieved has a huge opportunity, so this can be a good development for Sukabungah sub-district. Implementation in the development of this SWOT analysis is by designing a village service information system where this system will assist the government in improving the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) as well as assisting the urban village in improving the quality of the organization and facilitating the existing service system.

This article was aimed to formulate the construction of tourism village development model towards smart eco-tourism in Paksebali village, Kungkung regency, Bali. The methods of collecting data included observation, interview, documentation, and Focused Group Discussion. The data were analysed using qualitative method and SWOT analysis. The findings showed that the political will of the government in Klungkung regency and Paksebali village, as well as the participation of the local community had a great contribution to the development of the tourism village. The analysis of internal and external factors were used to formulate alternative development strategies that included conservation and revitalization of arts and culture, nature and environment conservation. Village tourism product development was conducted in a gradual and sustainable manner. Improvement of facilities and infrastructure, included HR Quality Improvement, Strengthening tourism village institutions, marketing systems, and increasing community participation.

The objective of the study is: Analyzing a good strategy in the development of the Fisheries Resources in West Southeast Maluku District, so as to provide a decent income for communities and regions. This research is done by using the method of SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) by looking at internal and external factors that exist. The research results indicate that internal factors, which become the strengths in the management of the fishery sector are the potential of Natural Resources, the availability of a reliable workforce, the potential of the sea in West Southeast Maluku District, improving the management of natural resources in the field of fisheries, and policies of the Government of the district in managing fishery sector. While the weakness of the internal factors are quality of human resources that are still relatively low, lack of education for the workers, the availability of infrastructure, lack of good understanding in technology, and lack of support from formal and informal institutions. External factors which become opportunity are regional autonomy, national policy for marine, support from the central government, and market potential. While the threats of external factors are the condition of the natural, social and cultural, illegal fishing, the limited supply of energy, and the price of the product which is not stable. In short, to improve the good management of the fishery sector in West Southeast Maluku District, then through a SWOT analysis, all elements of society in the district, especially the local government should optimize its strengths and opportunities that exist, as well as seeking alternative policies to reduce its weaknesses and threats which exist.

<p>This study aimed to analyze the satisfaction of taxi passengers, analyze the internal and external factors in PT A and formulate the competitive strategy with conventional taxi competitor and online taxi companies. The scope og this research is specifically focused on the competitive staretgy at strategic business unit level. This study is uses quantitative and quantitative descriptive approach. Data analysis techniques used are porter five score model, IFE, EFE, IE and QSPM. The results of this study on the analysis of IFE, PT A shows that the highest strength is on a strong, strategic distribution network of taxi in big cities. Meanwhile, the highest threat is standardization of tariff, number of taxi, and minimum identify of online taxi. Furthermore, IE matrix analysis shows that PT A is in quadrant I (grow and build strategy). The decision making stage with QSPM matrix has the order of strategic prority as follows: forward integration, backward integration, horizontal integration, product development, market penetration, and market development.<br />Keywords: EFE, IFE, IPA, QSPM, competitive strategy</p>

The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of Mau Sigaro farmer group in Gamsungi village and identified internal and external factors that became the strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats of the honey bee cultivation business, in order to find a good strategy to develop it using SWOT matrix. The result of SWOT analysis showed the strength point was consisted of professional human resorces, received capital assistance, produced a pure honey, and short marketing channel. The weakness of this farmer group was limited opportunity for all the member to join some workshop related to honey bee cultivation, needed more capital assistance to pay the maintenance expense, the price of the product was cheap, using manual technic, and none market promotion. The opportunities identified as the support from the government to the farmer group and it had gained consumer trust towards the product. The threats was found as weather exchange, it had not used technology to gain information, and it still did not have a permanent marketing partner to distribute the product. Alternative stategy can be used to develope the honey bee business based on SWOT result is Mau Sigaro farmer group needs to gain more relation with the government and marketing partner, increase the number of production and the quality of the product, send the member to join honey bee cultivation workshop, using the newest technology in honey bee cultivation and mass communication to spread the product information, and using an attractive packaging to gain more consumers.                                                          Key words: honey bee cultivation, farmer group, developing strategy, SWOT

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi pengembangan industri patin dan menentukan strategi prioritas untuk pengembangan industri patin diProvinsi Jambi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Bulan November 2018 hingga April 2019 bertempat di Provinsi Jambi (studi kasus di Kabupaten  Muaro Jambi), dilakukan dengan metode SWOT (Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities and Threats) dan AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi survei, observasi dan wawancara. Cakupan dalam penelitian ini mulai dari sektor budi daya, sektor pengolahan hingga pemasaran. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah pelaku usaha, pembuat kebijakan (pemerintah daerah dan pusat), serta pakar (akademisi dan peneliti). Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi pengembangan industri patin pada aspek budi daya diantaranya status kepemilikan lahan, ketersediaan modal, tersedianya tenaga penyuluh perikanan, tingginya  minat usaha, akses pemasaran, dukungan dan kebijakan dari pemerintah, dan kontinuitas bahan baku pakan. Pada aspek pengolahan, faktor yang mempengaruhi diantaranya lokasi unit pengolahan, ketersediaan bahan baku, tenaga kerja, akses pemasaran, dukungan pemerintah, serta persaingan. Analisis SWOT menghasilkan 8 alternatif strategi untuk budi daya dan 6 alternatif strategi di sektor pengolahan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis AHP, prioritas utama dalam pengembangan patin di Provinsi Jambi adalah meningkatkan pendampingan dan pembinaan kepada pembudi daya (sektor budi daya) dan mengembangkan usaha, diversifikasi dan inovasi produk (sektor pengolahan).Title: Strategies for Pangasius Industry Development in Jambi ProvinceThe aims of this research were to identify internal and external factors and to formulate the alternative strategies in developing the pangasius industry, in Jambi Province. This research was held in November 2018 until April 2019 in Jambi Province (case study in Muaro Jambi district), applied SWOT (Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities and Threats) and AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) methods, while the data were obtained through survey, observation and interviews, covering aquaculture, processing and marketing sectors. Respondents in this research were businessmen, policy makers (local and centralgovernments), and experts (academics and researchers). The results indicate that internal and external factors that influence the development of the pangasius industry in the aquaculture were land ownership,capital availability, availability of fisheries extension workers, high business interest, marketing access, support and policy from the government, and continuity of feed raw materials. Whereas in the processing include the location of processing units, the availability of raw materials, labor, marketing access, government support, and competition. SWOT analysis resulted in 8 alternative strategies for the aquaculture sector and 6 alternative strategies for processing sector. Based on AHP analysis, the main priorities for  the development of pangasius industry in Jambi Province were to strengthen assistance and guidance for farmers (aquaculture sector) and business development, diversification and product innovation (processing sector).
