<p align="center"><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p><em>Salah satu jenjang pendidikan yang ada di Perguruan Tinggi adalah berdirinya program studi Ilmu Perpustakaan baik jenjang Diploma 3, Sarjana, dan bahkan tingkat magister. Lahirnya program studi ilmu  perpustakaan dilatarbelakangi oleh perkembangan informasi dan lembaga informasi seperti perpustakaan. Untuk menjalankan fungsi perpustakaan dan lembaga informasi, maka perpustakaan tentunya membutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten di bidang ilmu informasi dan perpustakaan. Sumber daya di bidang perpustakaan ini nantinya disebut sebagai ahli informasi atau pustakawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui </em><em>motivasi mahasiswa memilih Program Studi Diploma 3 Perpustakaan, Jurusan Bahasa dan Seni Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak”. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptf dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: </em><em>(1) faktor-faktor yang mendorong mahasiswa memilih program studi Diploma III Perpustakaan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan </em><em>Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak</em><em> diperngaruhi oleh faktor eksternal. Faktor eksternal yang mendorong mereka sebagian besar dilakukan oleh orang tua keluarga dekat mahasiswa yang bersangkutan. Sebanyak 42 responden atau sekitar 56,7 % mahasiswa didorong oleh orang tuan dan keluarga dekatnya dan hanya 13 responden atau sekitar 17, 5% atas dasar kemauan atau sendiri. (2) Prospek karir yang diharapkan oleh mahasiswa setelah lulus dari Prodi Diploma III Perpustakaan </em><em>sekitar 56, 7 % responden menyatakan bahwa mereka menginginkan menjadi pustakawan yang profesional dalam mengelola informasi. </em></p><p> </p><p align="center"><strong> </strong></p><p align="center"><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p><p><em>One of the education levels in Higher Education is the establishment of Library Science study programs at both Diploma 3, Bachelor, and even master level levels. The birth of library science study programs was motivated by the development of information and information institutions such as libraries. To carry out the functions of libraries and information institutions, libraries certainly need competent human resources in the field of information science and libraries. Resources in the library field will later be referred to as information experts or librarians. This study aims to determine the motivation of students to choose the Library 3-D Study Program, Language and Arts Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak ". This research method uses descriptive methods with a qualitative approach. The results of this study are as follows: (1) the factors that encourage students to choose Diploma 3 study programs in the Teaching and Education Faculty Library of Tanjungpura University in Pontianak are influenced by external factors. External factors that encourage them are mostly carried out by parents of close family of the students concerned. As many as 42 respondents or around 56.7% of students are encouraged by their parents and close relatives and only 13 respondents or around 17.5% are of their own volition. (2) Career prospects expected by students after graduating from the Diploma III Library Program about 56, 7% of respondents stated that they want to become professional librarians in managing information</em></p><p> </p>

A selection of Computer Science, Informatics or similar study programs for academic studies evidently becomes an emerging choice of a vast number of students in recent years. To address some of the open questions, we performed an 25 empirical study based on a survey, with a goal to find out the main motivating fac tors directing students to select computer science, informatics or similar programs for studying in a much greater extent. The survey was conducted on a sample of 1517 students from five well established, and most traditional faculties of computer science and informatics at three largest university cities in Serbia: Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Nis?. The created sample is representative enough to illustrate the current situation and trends common for many similar societies. Our first analyses show that the main motivating factor to select computer science or informatics study program at all faculties is a students? motivation to study just that topic, while at management faculty it is significantly less important. However, we also noticed that significant number of students wished to study something else but chose computer science and informatics due to possibility of finding jobs easier and of earning higher salaries in industry. The most important influential factors to choose a computer science or informatics major come from family members, and close relatives. The perceived brand and reputation of a faculty also plays a significant role. Students being examined prevalently tend to be satisfied with the faculty they have chosen. However, many of them see themselves leaving the country in a near or far future.

Salah satu indikator keberhasilan pengajaran adalah mampu membawa siswa dapat berpikir kritis. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk dapat menumbuhkan pola berpikir kritis adalah pemberian pertanyaan yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) tipe pertanyaan dosen dan mahasiswa, (2) dimensi kognisi yang terkandung dalam pertanyaan yang dibuat oleh dosen dan mahasiswa, dan (3) dimensi pengetahuan yang terkandung dalam pertanyaan dosen dan mahasiswa jenjang S-1 dan S-2 pada Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah pertanyaan yang diajukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Data yang berupa pertanyaan-pertanyaan dikumpulkan dengan cara direkam dan dicatat. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah human instrumen dan indikator tuturan yang mengandung pertanyaan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat ditarik tiga simpulan. Pertama, jenis pertanyaan yang diajukan oleh mahasiswa dan dosen pada jenjang S-1 dan S-2 ada dua, yaitu pentanyaan konvergen dan pertanyaan divergen. Kedua, dimensi kognitif pertanyaan mahasiswa S-1 masih berada pada tingkat C2 dan C3, dengan tingkatan C2 lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan C3; sebaliknya pertanyaan dosen S-1 sudah banyak ke arah C3 dan sudah mulai ke C4. Yang berarti pertanyaan mahasiswa dan dosen S-2 sudah mengarah ke kongnisi tingkat tinggi. Ketiga, dimensi pengetahuan pertanyaan mahasiswa dan dosen S-1 mencakup pengetahuan konseptual dan prosedural, sedangkan dimensi pengetahuan pada pertanyaan mahasiswa dan dosen S-2 mencakup dimensi konseptual, prosedural, dan metakognitif, sebagian besar berada dalam dimensi pengetahuan prosedural yang berarti mahasiswa bergerak pada pola pikir yang lebih abstrak dan rumit.Kata Kunci: dimensi pertanyaan, dimensi pengetahuan, pembelajaran kelasDIMENSIONS OF LECTURER AND STUDENT QUESTIONS ON LEARNING IN CLASSAbstract One indicator of teaching success is being able to bring students to think critically. One way that can be done to be able to grow critical thinking patterns is giving good questions. This study aims to describe (1) the types of lecturer and student questions, (2) the dimensions of cognition contained in the questions made by lecturers and students, and (3) the dimensions of knowledge contained in the questions made by lecturers and students in the undergraduate and graduate in the Indonesian Language and Literacy Education Study Program of Yogyakarta State University. The data source of this research is the questions posed by lecturers and students in Indonesian language and literature study programs at the time of the class chase, both for bachelor and master degree programs. Data in the form of questions are collected by means of recorded and recorded. The instruments used in this study are human instruments and speech indicators that contain questions. Based on the results of data analysis three conclusions can be drawn. First, the types of questions posed by students and lecturers at the bachelor and master level are two, namely convergent questions and divergent questions. Second, the cognitive dimensions of S-1 student questions are still at levels C2 and C3, with higher C2 levels. compared to C3. On the other hand, there are many questions from the S-1 lecturer towards C3 and have started to C4. the question of students and S-2 lecturers who have led to a high-level technician. Third, knowledge on the questions of students and lecturers of S-1 covers conceptual and procedural knowledge, the knowledge on the questions of the S-2 students and lecturers included the conceptual, procedural, and metacognitive changes. Most are in the dimensions of procedural knowledge. That is, students move on a more abstract and complex mindset.Keywords: question dimension, knowledge dimension, classroom learning

This research discusses the quality of the website of the Library Science Study Program Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar as a medium of information using the WebQual 4.0 method. Three measurement variables are used, namely: Usability Quality, Information Quality, and Interaction Quality. This descriptive study uses a quantitative approach in presenting data. The data were obtained through online questionnaires and website observations. The population in this study was 448,440 the number of website visitors and a sample of 100 student respondents who were determined by incidental sampling technique. The validity and reliability tests used SPSS 23 software. The results showed that the quality of usability and information quality of the website of the Department of Library Science UIN Alauddin Makassar were in the good category with a percentage of 75.1% and 73.7%. Meanwhile, the interaction quality is in the very good category with a percentage of 81.5%. So it can be said that the quality of this website is in a good category.

The problem in developing practical courses at universities that apply the distance education in Indonesia are: 1)It is difficult to determine the place of practice for students because students are spread in different locations; 2)The study program found it difficult to develop a practice course in distance education methods. The development of subject matter practice in the government science study program at Universitas Terbuka has a significant urgency with the needs of the people in Indonesia. This article aims to analyze the development of practical courses in government science study programs, in Universitas Terbuka.This article is the result of a research with a qualitative approach. Primary data obtained from interviews with experts, students, and graduate users. Secondary data includes the results of the literature review, the results of previous studies, and documents relating to practical subjects. The research findings are: 1)Mastery of students in understanding governance as science and art implies not only at the level of mastery of theory and concepts, but also the importance of prioritizing attitude skills and behavior in dealing with government phenomena. 2)The subject matter which has the potential to be developed into practice material is a course related to development, village government, the legislature, and the methodology of governmental science. The implication of this finding is the need to conduct a comparative study in the application of practical subjects at several other universities that use distance learning methods both domestically and abroad.

English subject learnt by students of Communication Science Study Program is, of course, different from English for other study programs. English learning has to be in line with the needs of Communication Science students that are considered from the target needs (necessities, lacks, and wants) and learning needs. This research focuses on the needs analysis by applying learning-centred approach and syllabus outline that will be constructed based on the result of the needs analysis. It is a qualitative research that uses questionnaire and interview as the instruments. There are 30 students as the respondents and 2 lecturers in Communication Science Study Program as the interviewees. The collected data were reduced, displayed, and concluded. The syllabus outline resulted from the need analysis emphasized on speaking skill as expected by the students even though they still have more problems in writing and pronunciation. Therefore, the materials that will be designed based on the students’ need have to pay attention to the activities for speaking performance. In addition, it also has to address the students’ lack by assigning tasks on writing and pronunciation exercises. The learning centered approach allows the syllabus designers to adjust the learning activities that are favorable for the students. Thus, the syllabus outline can be flexibly used to adjust students’ learning needs.

Starting in 1988, the Indonesian government has authorized the librarian profession to become a functional position. Functional positions are regulated gradually, and finally with the decision of KEMENPAN RB 132/KEP/M.PAN/12/2002 concerning Functional Librarians. As a profession that the state has recognized, librarians must be responsible for all actions both of fellow librarian professions, organizations, and to themselves. Each member of the Indonesian Librarian Association is responsible for implementing the code of ethics in the highest standards for the needs of users, professions, libraries, professional organizations, and the community. Librarians must not only know about the librarian’s code of ethics, but librarians must also implement it. The purpose of this study is to determine the perception of students class of the 2019 library and information science study program on the importance of implementing the librarian code of ethics. Later, it can provide knowledge to libraries, especially in Indonesia about the importance of implementing a librarian code of ethics. The method used in this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The results showed that students of library and information science study program class of 2019 Indonesian Educational University strongly agreed to implement the librarian code of ethics according to IPI with results above 85%. The implementation of the code of ethics will impact the library and the librarian for the achievement of the shared goals of the library.

Abstract                 Searching for information can be done simply (basic) or complex. Its depends on the level of ability of the information seeker. The study was to describe the relationship between the ability to search and the relevance of search results on the e-resources portal of the National Library of Indonesia (PNRI) so that it can find ways to maximize the ability to search for scientific digital information sources on that portal. The method used was quantitative with descriptive statistics analysis. The technique of colleting data was questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. For  the population, there were 108 active students of  D-3 Library Science Study Program in the FKIP, while the sample was D-3 Library Science Study Program students who have accessed e-resources services of PNRI with the numbers 45 students who are considered representative in terms of search capabilities. The results showed that there was a relationship between the ability of students in searching and e-resources database of PNRI with the relevance of search results. It can be seen from the suitability of journal articles and electronic books that they were searching. 78,05% of students were able to search and got relevant results because they were influenced by the selection strategy of the search strategy. The effectiveness of strategy selection was also influenced by the ability to break down or formulate keywords. In these study, the ability to formulate keywords as the basis of search was in the low category, but the combination to get the needed information was in the high category.  Keywords: searching for information, e-resources, National Library of Indonesia

Introduction. The establishment of archival science study programs at the undergraduate (including archival applied) level leads to efforts to develop archival education and fulfillment of the needs of professional archivists. This paper discusses  the importance of established and strong archival education by implementing more effective competency standards. Data Collection Method. The method used in this research was literature study with  qualitative approach. Data Analysis. The data was analyzed by using  a descriptive-analytic approach. Results and Discussion. The establishment of the archiavl study programs will have great impacts on the quality of the graduates. The establishment also affected the scientific development of archival science, with the fact that  the number of archival science study programs is limited.  The non-standard curriculum by each study program also needs to be further professionally discussed. Conclusion. Competency standards in professional archivist development must ensure the clear objectives and tailored competency to support the archival science. Finally, archival education is to form humans’ characteristics to solve social problems in society, particularly the field of archival education.

The purpose of this study is to find out how the application of information literacy based on the students’ English ability of S1 Library Science Study Program Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University of Semarang, year 2013. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with case study type. The subject of this research is the students of S1 Library Science Study Program, year 2013, and the object of English proficiency and its application for information literacy. Data collection was done by interview and document study. The informants were chosen by purposive sampling, that is, the students of S1 Library Science Study Program Faculty of Humanities Diponegoro University of Semarang, year 2013 who have got information literacy subject amount of 15 students. The result of the research shows that the students of year 2013 have used English to be literate. They understand their needs, then seek information either from international journals, via internet, or from the library. The use of their information is clear, that is, to support in writing thesis. They can overcome their lack of English language skills.
