The research aims to know and analyze (1) the effect of using ‘baliho’ towards political choice of middle class society in Makassar City, (2) the importance of using ‘baliho’ as promotional media for regional head candidates to middle class society in Makassar City, and (3) the response of middle class society towards use of ‘baliho’. This research use qualitative descriptive methods. There were 12 (twelve) informants as samples were interviewed and the results of these interviews were analyzed using several theories. The research result indicate that (1) political choice of middle class society not depends on ‘baliho’ because research result indicated that 50% of informants said that their political choice effected by track records, capabilities, and achievements of the candidates not just based on ‘baliho’, (2) according to interviewed with middle class informants indicated that 41.66% informants suggest that candidates are better to directly socialize to society meet them and interact to build two ways communications so both side can get to know each other, and 33.33% suggest candidates are better to use social media and television to promote themselves, (3) response of middle class society about the use of ‘baliho’ showed 83.33% said that ‘baliho’ was just annoying, dirty, untidy, spoil the view of the city, and will produce more waste.Keywords:  Baliho, Middle Class, Regional Head Election

Tujuan ditulisnya artikel ini untuk mengidentifikasi jejak Hindu Kuno di Kawasan Menara Kudus Jawa Tengah. Metode yang digunakan dalam riset ini adalah deskriptif analitik yakni cara mendeskripsikan dan menganalisa data berupa bangunan kuno berupa Menara Masjid Al-Aqsha, Makara/Kalla, dan dua gapura (kori) di Masjid al-Aqsha. Riset ini mendeskripsikan, menganalisis, dan menginterpretasi data berdasarkan observasi danliteratur. Hasilnya,kondisi benda cagar budaya yang menyerupai peninggalan Hindu di Kawasan Menara Kudus(1) Menara hasil renovasi erakolonial tahun 1880, 1913, 1933, dan oleh BPCB Jawa Tengah tahun 1980, 2011, 2013, dan 2014.Kondisinya kini tidak lagi asli karya masa lalu tapi bentuknya tetap utuh, 80 persen hasil renovasi BPCB Jawa Tengah akibat Menara mengalami kerusakan diterpa hujan, cuaca/iklim/angin, dan getaran akibat pengguna jalan di depan Menara yakni mobil dan sepeda motor.Rekomendasi BPCB Jawa Tengah sejak tahun 2018 mobil umum dilarang melintas jalan di depan Menara oleh Pemda Kudus hingga kini, (2) dua gapura (kori) di serambi dan di dalam Masjid Menara Kudus kondisinya baik dan utuh, dan (3) kala/makara posisinya ada di tempat wudlu.Untuk merawat kesinambungan Kawasan Kauman Menara Kudus agar lestari, Pemda Kudus perlu mencanangkannya sebagai kota pusaka.   This article identifying the Kuno Hindu Trail in Region Kudus Minaret Central Java. This research data were descriptive analysis a by interview, participatory observation, and literature review. Data collection was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was observationand literature. Research result, condition culture reserve relic Hindu in Kudus Minaret (1) minaret, renovation colonial era in the year of 1880, 1913, 1933 and BPCB Central Java 0f 1980, 2911, 2013, and 2014. The condition is now not original after renovation although the shape is still intact. The minaret is damaged because get rained on, weather, vibration due to the car. The recomanded BPCB until 2018 the car prohibited from passing in front of minaret, (2) two gate (kori) in the masque al-Aqsha good condition and intact, (3) kala/makara in ablution place. To preserve holy government Kudus need to schedule the city heritage.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana komunikasi pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh Tomcir dalam membangun eksistensi sebagai brand lokal Cirebon dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Objek penelitian ini adalah Tomcir (Atom Kocir) dengan akun media sosial Instagram Tomcir Bakpia’e Wong Cerbon. Subyek penelitiannya adalah orang-orang yang dapat memberikan informasi mengenai Tomcir (Atom Kocir) yaitu pemilik dan beberapa konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tomcir (Atom Kocir) mampu mempertahankan eksistensinya dan bersaing dengan kompetitor lain di kota cirebon. Pelayanan Tomcir mampu memberikan kepuasan dan loyalitas konsumen dan peningkatan penjualan yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian diantaranya, 1) Bagaimana komunikasi pemasaran Tomcir (Atom Kocir) dalam membangun eksistensi sebagai brand lokal Cirebon. 2) Apa saja faktor pendukung dan penghambat komunikasi pemasaran Tomcir (Atom Kocir) sebagai brand lokal Cirebon. 3) Bagaiman upaya dalam meningkatkan penjualan Tomcir (Atom Kocir) agar tetap membangun eksistensi sebagai produk lokal. Kata kunci: Komunikasi pemasaran, promosi, Tomcir (Atom Kocir) ABSTRACT This study aims to find out how marketing communication conducted by Tomcir in building existence as a local Cirebon brand by using qualitative descriptive methods. The object of this research is Tomcir (Atomic Atomic) with Instagram social media account Tomcir Bakpia'e Wong Cirebon. The research subjects are people who can provide information about Tomcir (Atomic Atomic), namely the owner and several consumers. The results showed that Tomcir (Atomic Kocir) was able to maintain its existence and compete with other competitors in the city of Cirebon. Tomcir services are able to provide customer satisfaction and loyalty and increase sales obtained. Research results include 1) How Tomcir marketing communications (Atomic Kocir) in building existence as a Cirebon local brand. 2) What are the supporting factors and inhibitors of marketing communication Tomcir (Atomic Kocir) as a Cirebon local brand? 3) How is the effort to increase Tomcir sales (Atomic Atomic) in order to continue to build existence as a local product?                                                           Keywords: Marketing communication, promotion, Tomcir (Atom Kocir)

Instagram social media is a unique medium because through this media not only communicating by sharing photos, but also penetrating into videos that everyone can get various videos that inform various kinds of actifities or routines that are carried out. The use of instagram also occurs among the community in the city of Bengkulu, precisely Sanggar Arastra community, thus encouraging members to play Instagram. The purpose of this study is to find out the motives of social media users to upload instagram story. This study uses a qualitative research method with a qualitative descriptive approach and this study uses the motive theory by Papacharissi and Rubin (2017), which consist of several motives, utility motives and motives seeking information. This research was conducted with data collection techniques through interview, observation and documentation study. The subjects in this study were five members of Sanggar Arastra owning an Android or iOS cellphone with an application and an Instagram account, they actively play Instagram and like ti upload photos, videoa and texts on the Instagram Story. The results of thie study indicate that the motives of members of Sanggar Arastra in uploading photos, videos nd texts in Instagram story are convenience motives, entertainment motives, passing time motives to follow current trends. Of all the motives, there is the most dominant motive, namely Convenience Motives because what they upload on Instagram stories is a form of expressing themselves, a place to express feelings in the form of photos, videoa and texts. Their uploads form a good image in order to get the desired recognition.

In the millenial era, coincided with the Millennial Road Safety Festival that took place in Ampera bridge of Palembang and attended by the Presiden of Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, a new entry in the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI) is made. The new entrydocumented the longest jumputan cloth in Indonesia that is 1,117 meter long and consisting of 500 designs. In comparison, there is also Songket in Palembang that have been famous since a long time and became the icon of the city that is put on with a sense of pride by its people,but less marketable. The potential and buying power of the public for Palembang songket tend to declinedue to its high price, so that only the upper middle class society who have the capacity to buy this traditional cloth. In addition, songket is used only on formal occasions, thus the lower mid-level people have less purpose to own it. As an alternative of formal attire, Palembangnese uses jumputan that is available in variety of design and less expensive. Its more affordable price make it more popular for the lower mid-level public to buy. Therefore, the authors are interested to analyze about the Comparison of Interest in Purchasing Jumputan Cloth and Palembang Songket in the Market of Palembang City

Museum as heritage tourism has its own unique selling point. The success of the museum in some western countries has triggered museum development in developing countries including Indonesia. However, the number of visitors to the museum in Yogyakarta (Central Java) is not as high as other popular tourist attractions in the city. The previous study found some reasons underlying this condition which are lack of promotion, lack of infrastructure facilities and lack of human resources quality. This paper is aimed to find out the challenge of museum brand enhancement with the use of social media as it has a great role in promotion. Social Media strategy is investigated in MuseumSonobudoyo, Museum Pendidikan Indonesia UNY and Museum Gumuk PasirYogyakarta with a qualitative descriptive approach. The result of the study found that the use of social media in the museum is not maximum because there is no person in charge of social media development, limited supporting tools and lack of political support

This article discusses how the communication strategy of the Surabaya City Government Public Relations in serving and exploring the potential of the community through social media. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. From the results of this study, four findings were obtained. Firstly, in conveying messages through social media, the Surabaya City Government Public Relations, especially in conducting discussions with the social media team, to determine the market for the message. Secondly, social media content which is so varied according to what is happening in the community, especially in the city of Surabaya. Thirdly, the Public Relations of the Surabaya City Government holds a photo contest on social media every month. It is also a place to facilitate the aspirations and work of the citizens of the city of Surabaya. Fourth, in the use of social media, the Surabaya City Government Public Relations has its own segmentation which aims to make it easier for the public to sort out the information needed through social media

This research analyze the practice of irrigation, education, and free trade governance linked with functional decentralization concept in Indonesia’s decentralization policy frame. This research use constructivist approach and qualitative-descriptive method. Research result find several factors that cause functional decentralization in Indonesia’s decentralization policy for irrigation, education, and free trade is not adopted. Political institution is not adopted, independence of the farmers, integration of river and irrigation web, and state constitution, are the factors from irrigation side. Several factors in education are the existence of educational boards, the independence of school, devolution in education governance, and state constitution. For free trade, the institution of Batam governance, members structure in Batam’s boards, the uncertainty of BP. Batam in Indonesia’s administration structure, and state constitution, which make functional decentralization is not adopted. Generally, state constitution is major factor of functional decentralization is not adopted. The Construction of Decentralization in the Future of Indonesia’s Decentralization Policy especially in irrigation, education, and free trade can be done gradually begin from inter-local government cooperation, state-local collaboration in boards until establishing the functional decentralization’s organization.

Social media such as Facebook is assumed to have become a means of social interaction at this time. However, social media can also be one of the triggers for disputes between married couples that lead to divorce. Furthermore, the purpose of this study is: (1) To get an idea of ​​the characteristics of Facebook social media users in the middle class in the city of Padang. (2) Obtaining a picture of divorce that occurs in the middle-class society in the city of Padang. (3) Finding evidence of the relationship between the use of Facebook and divorce in middle-class families in the city of Padang. The population in the study was 368 people. While the study sample was 191 people, this study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The technique of collecting data through psychological scales and interviews. Sampling technique using simple random sampling. Data analysis techniques using the Pearson correlation. The study results found that r count = 3.86 <r table 5.92, which means there is no relationship between the use of Facebook and divorce in the family in the middle social class in the city of Padang

The Old Banten City and Port of Karangantu are located in Kasemen District, Serang City and are the remnants of the Sultanate of Banten in Java. This area was once the center of civilization and international trade in Java. The Old Banten City itself is currently the main tourist attraction in the City of Serang with the Banten Grand Mosque being the religious tourism destination in the City of Serang. In 2017, the number of tourists visiting the Banten Grand Mosque reached 1.7 million people. Its fate is vastly different from the Port of Karangantu which is currently not well developed as The Old Banten City. Whereas Karangantu itself has the potential for marine tourism with its natural products and access to marine tourism objects in the vicinity. Although there is a historical link between Banten Lama and Port of Karangantu, there is currently a developmental imbalance between the two objects, where the Old Banten City is much more developed than Karangantu Harbor. The purpose of this study is to propose any aspects that can be integrated from Religious Tourism in Banten Lama and Maritime Tourism in Port of Karangantu. This Research use qualitative descriptive methodology. The analysis used is policy analysis, location and site analysis, historical value analysis, tourist attraction analysis, tourism integration analysis. The results of this analysis are the discovery of two aspects that can be integrated for Tourism in The Old Banten City and Karangantu, namely accessibility and atmosphere between The Old Banten City and Karangantu. Keywords: integrated tourism; maritime tourism; Old Banten City; Port of Karangantu; religious tourism  AbstrakKawasan Banten Lama dan Pelabuhan Karangantu terletak di Kecamatan Kasemen, Kota Serang dan merupakan bekas peninggalan Kesultanan Banten di Pulau Jawa. Dahulu Kawasan ini menjadi pusat peradaban dan perdagangan internasional di Pulau Jawa. Kawasan Banten Lama sendiri saat ini menjadi daya tarik wisata utama di Kota Serang dengan adanya Masjid Agung Banten yang menjadi destinasi Wisata Religi di Kota Serang. Bahkan pada tahun 2017, jumlah Wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Masjid Agung Banten mencapai 1,7 Juta orang. Berbeda nasibnya dengan Kawasan Pelabuhan Karangantu yang saat ini tidak berkembang sepesat Banten Lama. Padahal Pelabuhan Karangantu sendiri memiliki potensi wisata bahari dengan hasil alamnya dan akses ke objek wisata bahari di sekitarnya. Walaupun adanya keterkaitan sejarah antara Banten Lama dan Pelabuhan karangantu namun saat ini terjadi ketimpangan perkembangan antar kedua objek ini, dimana daerah Banten Lama jauh lebih berkembang daripada Pelabuhan Karangantu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan usulan faktor-faktor yang dapat di integrasikan dari Wisata Reliji di Banten Lama dan Wisata Bahari di Pelabuhan Karangantu. Menggunakan metodologi deskriptif kualititatif. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis kebijakan, analisis lokasi dan tapak, analisis nilai sejarah, analisis daya tarik wisata, analisis integrasi wisata. Hasil dari analisis ini adalah ditemukannya dua unsur yang dapat dipadukan untuk Pariwisata Banten Lama dan Karangantu yang lebih terpadu yaitu aksesibilitas antar objek wisata dan suasana.antar objek wisata.

This research is about the sociological problems of five important characters in Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asian. Rachel Chu is the main character in this story comes from the middle class society. She has a relationships with Nicholas Young who comes from the upper class society. They face a lot of problems especially from Nicholas’s family who doesn’t agree with their relationships. Different society influences the character of someone. That’s why this research is aimed to find out the types of social class and the influence of social class on the character that showed in the story. The data were collected by reading the novel thoroughly then using the note-taking technique before being identified based on the topic. The collected data were descriptively analyzed by using qualitative-descriptive method to classify the types of social class and the influence of social class on the character that found in this novel. Based on the result of the research, it is found that there are three kinds of social class in Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asian, those are: Upper class, Middle class and Working class. Rachel Chu who comes from the middle class society has a simple personality. She prefers to save her money for food though she is a lecturer in university rather than her boy friend, Nicholas Young who comes from the worthy family. Nick’s family are also live glamor in Singapore. They spend a lot of money for fashion and jewelry. It much different with Rachel’s mom ( Kerry Chu) who originally comes from  working or lower class society. She fulfills her daughter alone and becomes a single parent because she has divorced with her husband when Rachel still child. This condition make Eleanor Young doesn’t agree with the relationships however the power of love between Nick and Rachel defeated everything. Finally, they become a couple.
