The aim of the present work was to estimate the choleretic effect of dry extracts derived from Carthamus tinctotius L., Calendula officinalis L. and Tagetes erecta L.Materials and methods: The experiments were carried out on white male rats weighing 180–230 g. The extracts in a single dose were introduced into the duodenum of the rats at the doses of 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg in the form of water solution.Results: The results of the experiments have shown that the extracts from Calendula officinalis and Carthamus tinctorius have the marked choleretic effect due to the presence of biologically active substances, predominantly fl avonoids.

На основі наукових досліджень визначено найбільш перспективні види та сорти культур родини Айстрові (Asteracea L.), а саме: нагідки лікарські (Calendula officinalis L.), цинія вузьколиста (Zinnia aqnustifolla H.), чорнобривці прямостоячі (Tagetes erecta L.) та айстра однорічна (Callistephus chinensis L.). Встановлено екологічну пластичність цих рослин, стійких до лімітуючих факторів довкілля, та визначено тривалість декоративних властивостей впродовж вегетаційного періоду. Досліджено найбільш перспективні сорти вітчизняної селекції для створення колекції однорічних культур на базі архітектурно-експозиційної ділянки Вінницького національного аграрного університету. Матеріалом для досліджень слугували: сорти та гібриди нагідок лікарських – Сонце Єгипту, Каблуна, Гейша; цинії вузьколистої – Глоріенша, Сомбреро, Класік; чорнобривців прямостоячих – Тітан, Вавіла, Робін Гуд; айстри однорічної – Художня, Яблунева, Аметист. Проаналізувавши динаміку тривалості цвітіння досліджуваних сортів/гібридів, встановлено найвищі показники тривалості цвітіння у Tagetes erecta L. (сорт Тітан – 52 дні, сорт Ваніла – 60 днів, сорт Робін Гуд – 55 днів). На основі експериментальних досліджень узагальнено рекомендації щодо використання різних культиварів досліджуваних квітниково-декоративних однорічних рослин в озелененні з урахуванням їх біоморфологічних особливостей. Встановлено, що з практичної точки зору вони є перспективними для створення груп на фоні газону, міксбордерів, рабаток, клумб та є чудовим матеріалом для створення садових композицій. Розширення варіантів простих і комплексних садових композицій з їх участю надасть парковій зоні ВНАУ більш декоративного вигляду, результати досліджень будуть використані для курсу лекцій та практичних занять за програмою спеціальності 206 "Садово-паркове господарство" для студентів факультету агрономії та лісівництва Вінницького національного аграрного університету.

The paper presents the results of a comparative analysis of the component composition of alcoholic extracts of particles of Calendula officinalis L. decorative Neon mark: stalks, roots, leaves, flowers, etc., by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. As a result of the study, more than 30 biologically active compounds (BAС) were identified that belong to different classes of organic compounds (including sesquiterpens, hydrocarbons, fatty acids and their ethyl esters, phytosterols). Their relative quantitative assessment was calculated by the method of internal normalization. It was found that the mass yield of extractable substances depends on the part of the plant used: the maximum (about 10%) from the petals and flowers, the minimum (less than 1%) from the roots. It has been established that the detected BAC is contained in all parts of the plant, but their content varies greatly: the most enriched are petals and flowers, the least - the stems, leaves, roots. Vitamin E is found only in flowers, flower petals and calyxes. The presence of a large number of phytosteros in Calendula officinalis L. is of interest for further pharmacognostic studies of this plant.

Introduction. Today, obesity is an extremely common phenomenon that negatively affects on the functional state of the organism, metabolism, and this in turn leads to the increase of a number of diseases. The thyroid gland has a significant effect on lipid metabolism, and especially negative in the case of iodine deficiency in the diet, which leads to hypothyroidism. Comparative study of the effect of various iodine-derived lipid metabolism in obesity is perspective.The aim of the study – to investigate the comparative affect of biologically active iodine in the composition of “Jodis-Concentrate” and inorganic iodine (J-C) as a part of “Iodomarine” on the indicators of lipid metabolism in blood of white male rats with experimental alimentary obesity.Research Methods. The object of the study was the blood serum of white rats, and the subject – separate indicators of lipid metabolism in it. The study was conducted on 48 white male rats. Animals were divided into 3 age groups of 16 animals in each: 1st group – 1.5 months; 2nd – 2.5 months; 3rd – 5th month. In each age group there were 4 subgroups of 4 animals: 1st – control, had a typical diet; 2nd, 3rd and 4th subgroup were with experimental alimentary obesity (EAO), which was formed through the inductor food craving – the sodium salt of glutamic acid in a ratio of 0.6 : 100.0 and high-calorie diet that included standard meals (47 %), sweet condensed milk (44 %), corn oil (8 %) and vegetable starch (1 %). Daily for 45 days, animals of the 3rd subgroup received biologically active iodine in the composition of “Jodis-Concentrate” (J-C) as of 0.1 ml (0.4 mcg of iodine) per kg of body weight a day and 4th subgroup were intragastric administered in the form of inorganic iodine as potassium iodide in medicine “Iodomarin” (IM) as of 0.4 mcg of potassium iodide per kg of body weight a day. In the serum blood, the content of total lipids, total cholesterol, triglycerides, high and low density lipoprotein were determined.Results and Discussion. The obtained results suggest that with the help of biologically active iodine in the composition of “Jodis-Concentrate” there was a significant decrease of the content of common lipids, triglycerides, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein in blood serum of males with different age than with “Iodomarin”.Conclusions. Given the effective results of the study of the hypolipidemic effect of J-C it is advisable to use it as a preventive and therapeutic agent for reducing the content of common lipids of triglycerides, total cholesterol, and low density lipoproteins in the blood.

The present state of the trends of the use of annual flower-ornamental crops in the Podillya region is analyzed and their promise for landscaping of the park zone of VNAU is determined. The most promising species and varieties of the cultures of the Astra family (Asteraceae L.) were studied and investigated: Medicinal leeches (Calendula officinalis L.), Zinnia aqnustifollia H., Rootsters (Tagetes erecta L.) and Astra annalistic (Callistephus chinensis L.), – ecologically plastic plants, resistant to limiting environmental factors and with long decorative properties during the growing season. The most promising varieties of domestic selection for the creation of a collection of annual crops on the basis of the exhibition area of the Vinnytsia National Agrarian University are found: medicinal herbs (Sun of Egypt, Kabloon, Geisha), cynic of the narrow-leaved (Gloriencha, Sombrero, Classic), black-eyed peoples (Titan, Vavila, Robin Good), astera annually (Artistic, Yablunevo, Amethyst). By studying the dynamics of the flowering time of the studied varieties, it was found that the highest flowering duration (up to 60 days) was found in Tagetes erecta L. (52 days for the Titan variety, 60 days for the Vanilla variety, 55 days for Robin Good variety). Also, we have generalized recommendations on the use of different cultivars of the studied annuals of foreign selection in landscaping, taking into account their biomorphological features. It is established that from a practical point of view, they are promising for creating groups on the background of the lawn, micoborts, rabatok, flower beds and is an excellent material for the creation of monosads. It is the expansion of variants of simple and complex garden compositions with their participation will give the park area VNAU more decorative, the results of research will be used for the course of lectures and practical classes on the program of the specialty «Landscape management» for students of the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry Vinnytsa National Agrarian University.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a qualidade fisiológica e sanitária de sementes de cártamo (Carthamus tinctorius L.) tratadas com diferentes extratos vegetais aquosos. O experimento foi realizado em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, em fatorial 2x10 (dois lotes de sementes e dez combinações de extratos vegetais aquosos e concentrações), com quatro repetições. Os lotes de sementes de cártamo são provientes do campo (Lote A) e da estufa (Lote B), na safra 2016/2017, após serem colhidos foram armazenados em câmara fria, com grau de umidade médio de 9,0%. Os extratos aquosos foram elaborados a partir de folhas de cinamomo (Melia azedarach L.), crisântemo (Dendranthema grandiflora Tzvelev) e tagetes (Tagetes erecta L.), nas concentrações de zero (testemunha), 1%, 5% e 10% na proporção massa/volume (g de folhas frescas 100 mL-1 água destilada). Avaliaram-se as qualidades fisiológica e sanitária pelos testes padrão de germinação, comprimento e massa de plântulas, emergência e sanidade. Conclui-se que a aplicação dos extratos vegetais aquosos como tratamento de sementes de cártamo foi benéfica para o controle patógenos sobre as mesmas, incrementando seu potencial de germinação e de emergência no campo.

Relevance. The demand for medicinal raw materials of Calendula officinalis L. is determined by the high content of pharmacologically significant compounds. Comparison of the most common ornamental cultivars of Calendula officinalis L.) in terms of yield and content of biologically active substances in the raw material helps to identify the most promising cultivars in terms of a set of indicators.Materials and methods.The decorative cultivars Apricot, Art Shads, Fiesta Gitana, Kabluna golden-yellow, Orange King, Orange Balls, Yellow Gitana and Golden Balls, characterized by large inflorescences and terry, were used as prototypes. The cultivar Kalta, widely used for the production of medicinal raw materials, was chosen as a control. The experiments were laid on the experimental plots of the Fruit Growing Laboratory of the Russian State Agricultural University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. Productivity was determined as the total weight of inflorescences harvested during the entire season per unit area. The amount of flavonoids was determined by spectrophotometry. The amount of polysaccharides was determined according to the modified Draywood method. The lutein content was determined by HPLC.Results.To obtain inflorescences we can recommend to use the variety Orange King, which, with a satisfactory yield (0.363 kg/m2), was characterized by a high content of flavonoids (1.2%) and satisfactory (35.9%) extractives and corresponds to the quality of raw materials required by GF XIV. In addition, this variety was characterized by an increased content of polysaccharides (20.3%). The Varieties Apricot and Yellow Gitana were characterized by high productivity (562±49 and 507±41 g/m2, respectively). Their raw materials can be used by production of herbal teas, where the content of flavonoids is not regulated. As sources of lutein, one should pay attention to the ligulate flowers of the varieties Apricot, Fiesta Gitana, Golden balls. In the variety Kabluna, with the maximum lutein content, the proportion of reed flowers in the inflorescence was only 38%. In varieties with large inflorescences, the content of lutein in reed flowers was higher (R=0.685). Large non-double inflorescences will be most productive in this indicator.

The purpose of the study – to study the effect of polyphenolic compounds extracted from the flowers of safflower oil and calendula, the functional activity of immune cells in cytotoxic immune suppression.Conventional methods determined the total number of splenocytes, relative (%) and absolute (106), the number of antibody-forming cells (AFC) in the spleen of mice by local hemolysis by Cunningham.Evaluated the effect of compounds of natural origin on the cellular immune response in the delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH). Phagocytic activity of peritoneal macrophages was determined by the method based on the intensity of their capture ink particles. We studied the functional activity of peritoneal macrophages by NBT test (spontaneous and stimulated). Studies were conducted on male mice Category 1 (conventional linear mouse) line CBA/CaLac aged 2–2.5 months, weighing 20–22 g. After the introduction mice line CBA/CaLac of polyphenolic compounds derived from flowers of Carthamus tinctorius and flowers of Calendula officinalis L. during the 5-day course in dose 50 mg/kg was observed stimulation of the humoral immune response (total number of splenocytes, the number of antibodies in the spleen cells) and the functional activity of macrophages and Immunomodulating effect on the humoral immunity and the functional activity of macrophages after a single injection of cyclophosphamide in dose 250 mg/kg. Immunotropic activity of polyphenolic compounds is higher than that those of the reference product of tincture of Echinacea purpurea.
