Instagram comes from the word "instant" or "insta", Instagram can also display photos instantly in its display. As for the word "gram" comes from the word "telegram", where the way the telegram works is to send information to other people quickly. In Indonesia, the number of Instagram users until July 2021 is 91.77 million users. The largest users are in the 18-24 year age group, which is 36.4%. The emergence of Instagram social media is now increasingly booming, and many unknown people appear on the screen. But they are very well known on Instagram, so they are called Celebgrams. The Instagram Accounts of the 5 Highest Paid Female Celebrities in the World, namely: Kenddell Jenner, Selena Gomez, Kylie Jenner, Khole Kardashian, Priyanka Copra Jonas. The purpose of this study is to calculate from the performance of the Instagram accounts of the 5 Highest Paid Female Celebrities in the World. The method used for this research is exploratory quantitative method. The results of this study indicate that Kylie Jenner is ranked first and has a good account performance

Youtube is a video sharing website created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005. The company is headquartered in San Bruno, California. Youtube allows users to create videos of minimum duration from 10 minutes to 8 minutes, accompanied by a variety of user/creator-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos. In addition, amateur content such as video blogs, and several other creative features. In Indonesia, there are 93.8 percent of the 170 million active users, making Indonesia the country with the largest Youtube users in the world. The number of active Youtube users in Indonesia can certainly provide an opportunity for brands to make the Youtube platform a social media marketing platform. There are 5 world-famous jewelry brand vendors that use Youtube as a marketing platform, namely: Dior, Tiffany & Co, Mikimoto, Cartier, and Buccellati. The purpose of this study is to calculate the credibility of the Youtube account performance of the Top 5 Famous Jewelry Brand Vendors in the World. The method used in this study is an exploratory quantitative method. The results of this study indicate that the vendor of a well-known jewelry brand in the world. Indonesia is ranked first and has good account performance credibility.

In Indonesia, there are 30.7 million active users, making Indonesia the country with the largest TikTok users in the world. The large number of active TikTok users in Indonesia can certainly provide an opportunity for brands to make the TikTok platform a social media marketing platform. As for the 5 world fashion brands that use TikTok as a marketing platform, the purpose of this study is to calculate from the performance of the TikTok account the 5 best fashion brands in the world. The method used for this research is exploratory quantitative method. The results of this study indicate that the Bur berry brand is ranked first and has good account performance.

Globalisation, the Internet and social media have changed the kind of actors with influence in the wine industry and the way these actors create signals to communicate credible information about experience and trust attributes. Among the most prestigious experts in the world of wine are the Masters of Wine (MW). Although initially devoted to international trade, they have spread their activities and their opinion is more and more appreciated by producers and consumers. The main objective of this article is to determine this community of experts’ behaviour on Twitter. In order to do so, four factors (presence, activity, impact and community) have been considered. All Twitter profiles belonging to users awarded with the MW qualification were identified and analysed. In addition, a set of 35,653 tweets published by the MWs were retrieved and analysed through descriptive statistics. The results show MWs on Twitter as high attractors (number of followers), moderate publishers (original contents published), moderate influencers (number of likes and retweets), and low interactors (number of friends and mentions to other users). These findings reveal that the MW community is not using Twitter to gain or reinforce their reputation as an accredited expert in the wine industry, giving more influential space on Twitter to consumers and amateurs.

Instagram also provides various interesting features such as filters, instagram stories, IGTV and other network features. Instagram was founded by a company called Burbn inc. And led in 2010 by two CEOs Mike Krieger and Kevin Systrom but on April 9, 2012 Instagram has been taken over by Facebook with a value of around $1M. Instagram users in Indonesia are 86.6% of the total population. The increasing number of active Instagram users in Indonesia who use Instagram as a marketing platform. There are 5 football players in the world who use Instagram as a marketing platform, namely: Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dambelle, Paul Pogpa. The purpose of this study is to calculate the credibility of the Instagram account performance of the 5 most expensive soccer players in the world. The method used for this research is quantitative exploratory method. The results of this study indicate that football player Kylian Mbappe gets first place and has good account performance credibility.


Through case studies of incidents around the world where the social media platforms have been used and abused for ulterior purposes, Chapter 6 highlights the lessons that can be learned. For good or for ill, the author elaborates on the way social media has been used as an arbiter to inflict various forms of political influence and how we may have become desensitized due to the popularity of the social media platforms themselves. A searching view is provided that there is now a propensity by foreign states to use social media to influence the user base of sovereign countries during key political events. This type of activity now justifies a paradigm shift in relation to our perception and utilization of computerized devices for the future.

New media is rapidly evolving and has an impact on our daily life. The rapid development of applications and increasing number of social media users can lead the users in a vulnerable condition. Human trafficking, also known as TPPO (Tindak Pidana Perdagangan Orang) in Indonesia, is one of the threats that users encounter, it commonly happens to young users who do not have enough information about it, but they can obtain TPPO information through employment advertisements in the media. The goal of this study is to look at media literacy levels and the correlations between them and TPPO message comprehension in new media. This research used a descriptive quantitative method with a correlation approach, in which associations between variables were measured. The media literacy levels of respondents were measured by using a Likert scale with a range of 1-5. The aspects measured were age, school origin and ownership of social media. These aspects and the TPPO message understanding in new media were measured by a Pearson scale. This study found that the highest level of media literacy was in the age group of 15 years old from SMAN 1(Public Senior High School) Pakem and that the number of social media account ownership did not show a significant relationship with the literacy levels. The measurement on the relationships between the media literacy levels and the TPPO message understanding by using a Pearson scale obtained 0.606; these results indicated that the correlation between both variables was high.

The Egyptian Revolution of 2011 began with immense hope, but was defeated in two and a half years, ushering in the most brutal and corrupt regime in modern Egyptian history. How was the passage from utmost euphoria into abject despair experienced, not only by those committed to revolutionary change, but also by people indifferent or even hostile to the revolution? This book explores the revolution through the lens of liminality—initially a communal fellowship, where everything seemed possible, transformed into a devastating limbo with no exit. To make sense of events, the book looks at the martyrs, trickster media personalities, public spaces, contested narratives, historical allusions, and factional struggles during this chaotic time. It shows that while martyrs became the primary symbols of mobilization, no one took seriously enough the emergence of political tricksters. Tricksters appeared in media—not the vaunted social media of a “Facebook revolution” but television—and they paved the way for the rise of Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi. In the end, Egypt became a global political vanguard, but not in the way the revolutionaries intended. What initially appeared as the gateway to an age of revolution has transformed the world over into the age of the trickster. The book is a powerful cultural biography of a tragic revolution.

The purpose of this study is to calculate the credibility of the performance of 5 TikTok Termhal Accounts as the account with the most expensive endorsement fee. The method used for this research is quantitative exploratory method. The results of this study indicate that a content creator named Zachking gets the first rank and has good account performance credibility.
