AbstractLinguistics or language is a system or tool for communicating with a view to achieving certain goals. The purpose of this study is to find out the form of sociolinguistic description of code switching and to find out the cause of code switching in the conversation at SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta. The method in this study uses a descriptive method, where data collection uses recorded conversations in school scope and interviewees. The steps of the analysis are: 1) Transcription of data, 2) Identification of data, 3) Classification of data, 4) Reduction of data, 5) Analysis of data, and finally the conclusions from related data. The results of this study are the form of code switching in conversations within the scope of Surakarta 4 Public High School in the form of words, phrases, clauses and baster form. There are several factors that can cause code mixing or code switching, namely 1) Linguistic, 2) Habit, 3) No exact expression, 4) Background of the speaker's attitude, 5) Code adjustment 6) Presence of 3rd person, 7) prestige, 8) purpose, 9) indicate first language.Keywords: Sociolinguistics, Code Transfer, Qualitative DescriptiveAbstrakLinguistik atau bahasa merupakan sebuah sistem atau alat untuk berkounikasi dengan maksud untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu. Tentunya maksud dari Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui wujud deskripsi sosiolinguistik alih kode dan untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya alih kode dalam percakapan di Lingkup SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dimana pengumpulan data menggunakan rekaman percakapan di Lingkup sekolah dan wawancara narasumber. Langkah-langkah analisis yang dilakukan yaitu: 1) Transkripsi data, 2) Identifikasi data, 3) Klasifikasi data, 4) Reduksi data, 5) Analisis data, dan yang terakhir adalah simpulan dari data yang terkait. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Wujud dari alih kode dalam percakapan di lingkup SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta yang berwujud kata, frasa, klausa maupun yang berwujud baster. Ada beberapa factor yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya campur kode ataupun alih kode, yaitu 1) Kebahasaan, 2) Kebiasaan, 3) Tidak ada ungkapan yang tepat, 4) Latar belakan sikap penutur, 5) Penyesuaian kode 6) Kehadiran orang ke 3, 7)gengsi, 8)tujuan, 9)menunjukkan bahasa pertama.Kata Kunci: Sosiolinguistik, Alih Kode, Deskriptif Kualitatif

This study aims to describe the form of code switching and code mixing used in Indonesian language learning at SMP N 01 Limpung, Batang Regency. This research is included in qualitative descriptive. Data processing that examines code switching and code mixing is thus the data in this study in the form of oral data, namely, speech code switching and code mixing that exist in Indonesian language learning. The data sources came from Indonesian language students and teachers at SMP N 01 Limpung. Data collection techniques in this study used the observation and note technique. The first step, the researcher listens to the use of language in Indonesian language learning. Furthermore, the researcher recorded the speech data including code switching and code mixing. The results showed that the speech used when learning Indonesian at SMP N 01 Limpung included: (1) code switching from Indonesian to Javanese and (2) code switching from Javanese to Indonesian. The form of code mixing that occurs in Indonesian language learning is in the form of: (1) the form of code mixing in the form of word insertion, (2) code mixing in the form of phrases

ABSTRACTFacilitation in education is something that can support teaching learning process at school. Laboratory is one of the important facilitation because the lab is a place where students can practice their skill through demonstration, experiment, and development of knowledge. The aim of this research is to know the availability of science laboratories in public high school and private high school in Bogor and compared it with minister regulation No. 24 year 2007. Descriptive method is used in this research with five schools chosen randomly as sample. Data collection techniques used in this research is observation and interview. The result of the finding shows that judging from five schools that has been observed which are SMA Al-Nur, SMA PGRI 4, SMAN 7, SMAN 4 and SMA PGRI 4 they are all not qualified with the minister regulation No.24 year 2007 about standard issue facilitation of high school laboratory which requires 2.4 m2 wide per student.Keyword: Senior High School, Laboratories, Facilitation

<p><strong>Abstract: </strong>This study aims to determine: (1) The type of code-switching and code-mixing used, (2) The function of code-switching and code-mixing used by teachers and students, (3) The reason teachers and students use code-switching and code-mixing. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection in this study was carried out by observation, questionnaire, and interview and then analyzed and describing the results. The results show: (1) The types of code-switching and code-mixing often used are the type of intrasentential code-switching is 50.7%. Furthermore, the type of code-mixing alternation is 46.2%. (2) The code-switching and code-mixing functions used by teachers and students are as easy communication as is 42.5%. (3) Teachers and students use code-switching and code-mixing to facilitate communication in class and understand the material presented by the teacher.</p><p><strong>Keywords: </strong>Code Switching, Code Mixing, EFL Class.<strong></strong></p>

Abstract Code Switching and Code Mixing in The Village Chief Election CampaignAgung Mulya Village, East Kotawaringin Regency. This research describe codeswitching and code mixing along with its causal factors in the event of the villagechief election campaign in Agung Mulya Village, East Kotawaringin Regency andits implications. This study uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this studywere prospective village heads and communities who held conversations inelection campaign activities. Data collection uses the refer, record and writingmethod. Data were analyzed by descriptive method with coding steps andclassification. The validity of the data is obtained through semantic validity test,and reliability using intra-rater and inter-rater. The results of this study can beconcluded related to the forms of code switching (internal) including, interlanguagecodeswitching,andcodeswitchingbetweenvariousandmixedcodeintoandmixed code out. Factors that cause code interference include; (a) limitedlanguage mastery, (b) speaker habits, and (c) facilitating speech intent andpurpose. Penelitian inimenggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah calon kepaladesa dan masyarakat yang melakukan percakapan dalam kegiatan kampanyepemilihan kepala desa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak, rekam dancatat. Data dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif dengan langkah pengkodean danpengklasifikasian. Keabsahan data diperoleh melalui uji validitas sematik, danreliabilitas menggunakan intra-rater dan inter-rater. Hasil penelitian ini dapatdisimpulkan terkait dengan bentuk-bentuk alih kode (internal) meliputi, alih kode antar bahasa, dan alih kode antar ragam dan Campur kode ke dalam dan campurkode ke luar. Faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode meliputi; (a)keterbatasan penguasaan bahasa, (b) kebiasaan penutur, dan (c) memudahkanmaksud dan tujuan tutur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan alih kode dan campur kode yang digunakan oleh penutur di lingkungan SMK di Kota Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah bahasa-bahasa yang digunakan oleh guru dan siswa pada saat pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan penggunaan alih kode dan campur kode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data adalah teknik pengamatan, teknik wawancara dan teknik rekam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alih kode dan campur kode yang terjadi ialah bahasa Inggris,bahasa Batak, dan bahasa Indonesia. Jenis alih kode yang ditemukan adalah bahasa Indonesia ke bahasa Batak. Jenis campur kode yang ditemukan adalah campur kode ke dalam dan campur kode keluar  dengan menggunakan  bahasa Indonesia,bahasa Inggris, dan bahasa Batak dengan bentuk kata, kelompok kata, kata ulang, ungkapan dan klausa.Code Switching and Code Mixing on the Speech of Education Environment AbstractThe research aims to describe code switching and code mixing that are used by speaker in vacation high school at Medan. This research is a qualitative descriptive. The subject of this research is languages used by teacher and students in learning Indonesian. The object of this research is code switching and code mixing used on learning Indonesian.The method used to collecting the data are observational echniques, interview techniques and recording techniques. The result shows that languages undergoing code switching and code mixing are English, Bataknese and indnesian. The type of code switching found is Bataknese languages to Indonesian languages.furthermor, the type of code mixing found is inner code-mixing and outer code -mixing by using Indonesian language, English and Bataknese with the form of the word, group of words, repetition of word, expression and clause.

Sosiolinguistik memberikan pengetahuan tentang code switching (campur kode). Analisis teks novel untuk memahami penggunaan campur kode penutur dapat dilaksanakan untuk pengembangan ilmu sosiologi bahasa. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam menganalisis temuan dan mengklasifikasikan pencampuran kode dari Novel Andre Herata Sang Pemimpi. Analisis data berfokus pada kalimat dan paragraf yang menunjukkan penggunaan pencampuran kode di dalamnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada satu jenis pencampuran kode yang ditemukan dalam novel Sang Pemimpi yaitu pencampuran kode luar (bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris) yang kemunculannya ada dalam bentuk kata, frasa, dan penyisipan klausa. Penggunaan dan jenis-jenis pencampuran kode yang ada dalam novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata meyangkut pencampuran kode; pada pencampuran berbagai unit linguistik, seperti morfem, kata-kata, pengubah, frasa, klausa dan kalimat, terutama yang berasal dari dua sistem tata bahasa yang berpartisipasi dalam sebuah kalimat. Dapat disimpulkan narator menggunakan pencampuran kode dari Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, dan pencampuran kode luar dari Bahasa Inggris; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Bahasa Arab. Abstract. Sociolinguistics gave knowledge of the switching codes. Text analysis of novels for understanding the interdiction of interpreting codes can be performed for the development of language sociology. The qualitative descriptive method of analyzing the find and classifying the code mixing of the novel Andre herata Sang pemimpi. Data analysis focuses on sentences and paragraphs that indicate the use of a code mixing in them. Studies have shown that one type of mixing code found in the Sang pemimpi novel is that it includes a mixture of outside codes (Indonesian and English) that appears in the form of words, phrases, and insertion of klausa. The use and kinds of coded blending in the book of Sang pemimpi Andrea hirata passes the mixing of codes; In the mixing of various linguistic units, such as morpheme, words, modifiers, phrases, clauses and sentences, especially those that come from the two grammatical systems that participate in a sentence. It could be inferred that the narrator used a code mixing from Indonesian, Malay, and a proprietary blend of English; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Arabic.

<p class="5AbstrakIsi"><em>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ujaran Baby Moonella yang mengandung campur kode dan alih kode di video Instagram miliknya. Ada 5 video yang dipilih dengan mempertimbangkan kecukupan representasi penggunaan alih kode dan campur kode kekinian</em><em>. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dari hasil transkripsi tuturan Baby Moonella. Untuk menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan teori dari Hymes (1986</em><em>) dan Siregar (1996) yang diadaptasi dari Hoffman. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan ada tiga jenis alih kode dan dua jenis campur kode yang digunakan Baby Monella, seperti: tag code switching, inter-sentential switching, intra-sentential switching, intra-sentential mixings, insertion in extra-sentential mixing, dan alternation in Extra-sentential mixing. Jenis yang paling dominan digunakan dalam tutur kata Baby Moonella yaitu intra-sentential switching dan extra-sentential mixing dalam bentuk alternation. Alasan Baby Moonella melakukan pencampuran kode dan alih kode karena dia meniru apa yang dikatakan ibunya. Dia sering merasa kebingungan dengan perubahan bahasa dalam percakapan sehari-harinya. Banyak kata dalam Bahasa Inggris yang dia sendiri tidak mengetahui arti dan padanannya dalam Bahasa Indonesia. This research examines and discovers the variation and formation of slang in the street food court (angkringan) of the Perpek community, Ponorogo Regency, which is indicated by a variant of the slang language. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The research data is in the form of words from languages that contain slang forms and are spoken by sellers and buyers. Data collection uses observation techniques supported by note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is the equivalent method and the method of religion. The findings of this research are four processes of the formation of slang language in terms of the formation of phonological structures, namely: (1) reversing the overall arrangement of letters, for example "mahal" to "laham", (2) giving an insert at the beginning and at the end both vowels and consonants, for example "kopi" becomes "ngikop", (3) exchanges consonants and replaces one or two letters, for example "sedikit" becomes "sikit", and (4) words are shortened or cut without changing their meanings, for example "mama cantik" to be "macan". The results of the research findings indicate the formation of new slang languages that are different from the original languages, both from Indonesian and regional languages (Javanese). Penelitian ini mengkaji dan menemukan variasi dan pembentukan bahasa slang di angkringan komunitas Perpek, Kabupaten Ponorogo, yang terindikasi ditemuakan varian bahasa slang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode diskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa kata dari bahasa yang mengandung bentuk bahasa slang dan dituturkan oleh penjual dan pembeli. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi yang didukung dengan teknik simak-libat-catat. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode padan dan metode agih. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh temuan berupa empat proses pembentukan variasi bahasa slang dari segi pembentukan struktur fonologis, yaitu: (1) membalikkan susunan huruf secara keseluruhan, misal "mahal" menjadi "laham", (2) memberikan sisipan di awal dan di akhir kata, baik vokal maupun konsonan, misal "kopi" menjadi "ngikop", (3) menukar konsonan dan mengganti satu atau dua huruf,  misal "sedikit" menjadi "sikit", dan (4) kata dipendekkan atau dipotong tanpa mengubah maknanya, misal "mama cantik" menjadi "macan". Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya pembentukan bahasa slang baru yang berbeda dari bahasa aslinya, baik dari bahasa Indonesia maupun bahasa daerah (bahasa Jawa).

This study aimed to describe the quality of Indonesian variety of writing used by high school students in Central Jakarta and East Jakarta. The focus of this research is the spelling rules. The method used is descriptive method. Fourty high school students writing in Central Jakarta and East Jakarta were selected as the sample, they are consisting of twenty men and twenty women with regard to social factors. The findings indicate that female teenage student, female students in Central Jakarta more careful in the use of the letters, punctuation, and spelling than male teenage student in East Jakarta. Students whose parents are having different ethnic tend to be more careful in the use of letters and writing words than students whose parents is coming from same ethnic. As for the use of punctuation on students whose parents is coming from same ethnic tend to be more careful than teenage student whose parents are having different ethnic.

This research aims at: 1) describing the errors of writing in bahasa Indonesia in outdoor media in Bojonegoro, 2) describing the errors in using foreign elements, and 3) determining the suitability of the results of research with teaching materials of bahasa Indonesia at Junior High School. This research is qualitative descriptive with a sample of articles in outdoor media in Bojonegoro. The sampling technique used was purposive. Data collection techniques used were recording, observation, and note-taking. Data validation techniques used were triangulation and peer assessment. The data analysis technique was an interactive analysis which includes four components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the linguistic elements of language errors in outdoor media are related to the use of punctuations, especially a period (.), writing the preposition of “di”, the use of the word “pukul” and “jam”, and abbreviations. Secondly, the type of improper use of foreign terms is dominated by the use of the English and the Javanese. Both languages are used simultaneously on any word or Indonesian phrase. Third, the result of this research can be used as teaching materials of bahasa Indonesia at junior high school level, especially on the subject of spelling and foreign terms (borrowing).Keywords: language error, outdoor media, spelling, foreign terms, teaching materials
