As organic farming gains more popularity across the world, it is important to discuss the underlying trends of its development in Ukraine, who is an important agricultural producer. Organic farming may have lower environmental pressures—therefore, we seek to identify the major trends in the production and sales of the organic agricultural products in Ukraine. In this study, data on the production structure, costs, and selling prices from Ukrainian enterprises are analyzed. Conventional and organic enterprises are contrasted in order to identify the possibilities for the development of organic agriculture in Ukraine. Our results suggest that enterprises that use organic farming in Ukraine tend to produce higher output per hectare, as opposed to those engaged in conventional farming. However, labor profitability remains low in labor-intensive organic farming, especially in larger companies, and organic products remain a low percentage of Ukraine’s agricultural exports. This calls for further study into the development of organic production and consumption in the domestic market, as well as the implementation of appropriate certification practices in order to ensure the growth of organic exports.

Labelling — the final stage of production, which determines its characteristics and properties. In addition to the main regulated elements of labeling, information about the product distinctive features can be applied to the label, which can influence the potential consumer choice. Complete and reliable information allows not only to identify the product, but also to prevent possible consumer deception. Information falsification is one of the most common ways of misleading consumers. There are several types of marking: consumer, warning, conformity, environmental and special protective. In order to protect the consumer from information falsification for food products, clear rules for marking for mandatory application have been developed, established in the technical regulations of the Customs Union 022/2011 «Food products in terms of its marking» and technical regulations for certain types of products (industry products features). In recent years, the organic products production is actively developing, the requirements for which in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) are at the design stage. Organic production is based on the principles of environmental friendliness and humanity, as well as the prohibition of the use of means of production intensification (chemical fertilizers, chemotherapy drugs, artificial food additives, etc.). To control the implementation of these requirements, it is necessary to conduct a full analysis of the production of the product «from the field to the counter», which can be carried out only by highly qualified experts. Confirmation of compliance with the requirements is a organic products sign. In world practice, there are several types of eco-labels. The essence of the developed interdisciplinary approach is a comprehensive application of mandatory and voluntary requirements for the organic food products labeling.

The current state of development of socio-economic processes requires increasing the level of food security of the state, especially providing the population with quality, environmentally friendly food products of domestic production. However, agricultural producers, trying to constantly increase production, use intensive technologies of agriculture based on chemicalization, which leads to significant soil degradation, violation of the ecological balance of agroecosystems, contamination of agri-food products with radionuclides, heavy metals, pesticides. Therefore, in Ukraine there is a strategic task - to increase the production of organic products to meet their own needs, while entering international food markets. It is established that in the framework of the implementation of modern marketing concepts for producers the attractiveness of organic production is growing. Ukraine lags far behind the developed countries in terms of organic consumption. Having identified the features of individual components of the complex of organic food sales and recommendations for their improvement in order to strengthen competitiveness in the market. Problems of developing scientific methods for promoting organic products in the marketing system of organic enterprises are insufficiently studied. In particular, this applies to methods of product promotion for organic producers, as well as the definition of the main elements of the product promotion system, which include goals, principles, types, methods, organizational structures, functions, stages and results of promotion of organic products. The article considers the concept of the system of promotion of organic producers; the content of the main components of this system, such as goals, principles, types, methods, functions, organizational management structures, stages and indicators of product promotion results are revealed. The peculiarities of the system of promotion of organic products are reflected. Two main groups of methods for producers of organic products are proposed. A brief description of the content of these techniques is given. Techniques grouped by the main stages of product promotion.

The article analyses the regulatory and legal support for the organization of organic land use in Ukraine. It is established that the current regulations in the field of organic production are aimed mainly at regulating the technological processes of organic production, the procedure for its certification and the market of organic products. At the same time, the legislators did not pay attention to the issues related to the organization of the territory of agricultural enterprises for the production of organic products in order to meet the requirements of the relevant standards and rules of IFOAM. It is proved that for the organization of the territory of organic land use and land tenure it is necessary to develop and implement appropriate land management projects. In view of this, it is necessary to amend the Law of Ukraine "On Land Management", supplementing Article 25 with a new type of land management documentation: land management projects for the organization of organic land use (land tenure), and to enshrine the composition and content of such land management projects. Key words: normative-legal regulation, organic land use, buffer zone, crop rotation, land management project.

The article highlights the theoretical - methodological, organizational and applied aspects of the information-analytical support as a tool for managing the efficiency of crop production. The main factors that determine the functioning of the system of information and analytical support are the scope of the agricultural enterprises and its specific features, efficiency, reliability and relevance of information support. The essence of the category «efficiency» as an object of information-analytical support is revealed. Its determined that the efficiency of crop production is to optimize the yield of high quality products from each hectare of land in value terms at the rational cost of all resources per unit of output and maintaining natural ecological balance. The application of the logically constructed system of interrelated indicators of the crop production efficiency taking into account the specific of the industry will explore the causal links between competitive factors and the system of their inverse influence on the rational for the crop production development strategy. The attentation is focused on the importance of using analytical procedures that must comply with the interrelated principles of systemicity and complexity, contribute to the creation of additional analytical information, provide a reliable assessment of the efficiency of crop production, the implementation of scientifically based forecasts.

The object of the research is the problem of providing the population with high-quality and environmentally friendly food products in order to preserve its health, improve the well-being of society. One of the most problematic is the practical implementation of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system approved by the Codex Alimentarius Commission. The process of overcoming resistance from manufacturers of complete identification of product quality indicators to indicators of existing standards requires the creation of an appropriate institutional order and the implementation of the principle of the strength of the state. The analysis of the current state of the market for environmentally friendly products is carried out. The main problems and directions of its development, the reasons for restraining creativity and initiatives of a bona fide manufacturer of food products are identified. The implementation of the proposed algorithm and the functioning of an integrated system for providing the domestic market with organic products is complicated by the imperfection of the institutional order and is a complex and lengthy procedure that requires an enhanced role for state institutions. In the course of the study, the approaches to modeling the process of ensuring the effective functioning of an integrated food safety production system were used. An algorithm for the complexity of this system of organic production has been determined. These stages include the analysis of production, development of the supply system, production of products, analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of the system. For their implementation, it is proposed to create an appropriate institutional order and introduce economic incentives from the state on the basis of the principle of its strength. Thanks to this, it is possible to qualitatively control the production of organic products at every stage of its stage, from the supplier of raw materials to delivery to the consumer in the domestic and foreign markets. In comparison with similar well-known methods, the proposed approaches allow minimizing economic fraud at every stage of organizing its production, the dishonesty of organic producers, providing the food market with high-quality environmentally friendly products, the domestic market, which will have a positive effect on the welfare of consumers.

Organic food products are a complex object of technical regulation. It combines, on the one hand, the requirements to finished food products and the production processes, and, on the other hand, the principles of organic agriculture. In terms of organic products and features of its production, the Russian Federation is at the initial stage of legal framework formation, while the USA and EU countries have been involved in these issues for more than 20 years. However, the development of organic agriculture and the production of appropriate products have good prospects in Russia. The experience of countries with high growth rates of organic production showed that the key points for the successful formation of the organic food sector is the establishment of the legal framework and the development of state regulation and control. According to the law established in 2018, organic products are environmentally friendly agricultural products, raw materials, and food that meet the requirements of the Federal law of August 3, 2018, No. 280-FL: “On organic products and amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation”. The law will be the basis for legal self-determination of organic products and processes of their production. It might also serve as a stimulus for the formation and development of the organic sector of food products in Russia. The present review features a retrospective analysis of the formation of international regulatory norms in the sphere of organic products, the corresponding international laws, and the experience of advanced countries, as well as the current state of the legislation in some former Soviet republics and the Russian Federation.

Many retailers have expanded and diversified their private label food product assortment by offering premium-quality private label food products such as organic products. With price being identified as the major barrier for organic food purchases, private label organic food products could be a suitable and more affordable alternative for many consumers. While numerous studies have examined consumer preferences for organic food, very few organic food studies have incorporated the concept of private labels. This study addresses this research gap by studying consumer preferences and willingness to pay for national brand and private label organic food using a latent class model. Specifically, this study analyzes consumer preferences for organic eggs and orange juice and the effect of national branding versus private label. Findings show heterogeneity in consumer preferences for production method and brand, with three consumer segments being identified based on their preferences for both juice and eggs. For eggs, about half of the consumers prefer private label and organic production, whereas one-quarter clearly prefers organic, and another quarter is indifferent about the brand and the organic production. For orange juice, the majority (75%) prefer the national brand. In addition, one-quarter of the consumers prefers organic juice, and about one-third values both organic and the national brand.
