OVERCOMING OBSTACLES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF IKRT / UMK THROUGH APPLICATION OF APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGY

The SME sector that has an important role in the Indonesian industry is the small and home industry (IKRT) or micro and small businesses (MSME). In everyday life, washing clothes and washing the house is an activity that is usually done by everyone, especially by the home industry. IKRT (UMK) Suradita RW 09 Suradita Indah Complex, is IKRT (UMK) in the Suradita sub-district, which produces green cleaning products guided by Universitas Mercu Buana lecturers who have been operating for one year. IKRT (UMK) was established to increase the knowledge of housewives who live in RW 09, where production is marketed in the surrounding area as well. In addition there is no good management governance, also a good marketing strategy. Based on the above, the objectives of community service are (1) using appropriate technology in the green cleaner production process, (2) improving the quality of green cleaner product formulations, (3) implementing good governance management and marketing strategies to be more effective and efficient and has sustainable competitiveness. The results of this community service are (1) appropriate technology that can be used in the production process. (2) Improving the quality of green cleaner product formulations and (3) governance management and marketing strategies. And can avoid Suradita IKRT which is more effective and efficient and has sustainable competitiveness.

Karunia Mandiri Joint Business Group (KUBE) is located in Pakeron Hamlet, Sumberarum Village, Tempuran District, Magelang Regency which produces traditional Magelang food, namely cassava emplek. The problems faced by KUBE are less than optimal marketing and the use of manual production tools. The purpose of the community service is to improve the quality of KUBE human resources in managing its business, which includes marketing, financial management, and production so as to increase production and sales. The method is to provide training and mentoring. The result of this service is more optimal marketing with the appearance of new products through rebranding and packaging as well as the use of digital marketing. Then, the production process is better with appropriate technology for molding dough and applying hygiene standards. In addition, financial management is more organized with simple bookkeeping and accounting so that selling prices can be competitive and profits can be identified.

The Village

Banyuwangi Regency is one of the agricultural centers in East Java province and Indonesia. Mostly,Banyuwangi people work as farmers due to the fertil soil and wide amount of agricultural land in Banyuwangi . Thelarge number of people who work as farmers initiating the formation of farmer groups. One of the farmer groups in theSrono sub-district of Banyuwangi is the "Tan Selo 1" farmers group located in the village of Sukomaju and the "TanSelo 2" farmers group in Sukonatar village. The normal average price of one banana bunch in Banyuwangi is between50-60 thousand depending on the type and quality of bananas. Problems arise when the quantity of bananas in the marketarose, the price of 1 bunch of bananas decreases dramatically. The price of 1 bunch which is usually set at 50-60thousand drops drastically to only 20-30 thousand. This is certainly a problem for farmers in the Tan Selo group. The lackof knowledge of Tan Selo farmers about alternative variants of processed banana based products and the lack ofknowledge of the marketing strategies make it hard for the Tan Selo farmers to increase the economic value of bananaswhich have been used as an alternative income for farmers. Therefore, the solutions offered to overcome the problems offarmers include: equipping and improving farmers' knowledge about the variety of processed banana-based foods andtheir marketing strategies, conducting training to make variations on banana-based foods, conducting training oneffective marketing strategies. Overall, a series of community service programs were carried out perfectly as it expected.The percentage of participants' understanding in choosing high quality bananas is 85%, the percentage of participants’ability in processing banana-based foods is 86%, and percentage of participants who successfully sell processed foodproducts by utilizing online shopping sites is 70%

Micro and small businesses are growing rapidly in the community but have weaknesses in the process of recording, accounting and compiling financial reports in accordance with applicable standards. The purpose of this activity is to provide training and mentoring on bookkeeping and compilation of simple financial reports to the micro and small business in the Kampung Pulo Geulis area, Babakan Pasar, Bogor as the activity partner. Community service activities seek to improve the ability of micro and small business managers and expected to improve the economic quality of the community in the area which has processed of developing into a tourism area in Central Bogor. The method of implementing activities are training and assisting of the activity of the participants which can provide optimal results to improve the community's economy, especially for those who need additional funds for their business. The selected samples are 25 micro and small businesses as the participants. The training was in the form of lectures and practicums accompanied by consulting and assisting in preparing a simple of financial report. The results of this activity will be in the form of simple bookkeeping guidelines and preparation of financial statements for micro and small businesses that can be understood by the participants.

A participatory process is used in the design of a user-centered smoke machine, resulting in lasting benefits to the community. This program of IbM (Science and Technology for Society) has designed fish fumes that are mobile, portable and environmentally ergonomic, applying appropriate technology about fumigation so as to increase knowledge to the community. This program improve people skills especially in smoked fish production, increase employment in the field of fishery products processing business. With this activity can grow the interest of the community to entrepreneurship for those who have not started a business and will increase its business for those who have started the processing business of fishery processing. Benefits derived from IbM (Science and Technology for Society) program are, among others, reduced air pollution caused by open fish curing system so that air quality environment, especially around fish processing SMEs to be better, can support and strengthen fish processing industry in the coastal area that began to grow and especially support local SMEs, increase the quantity and quality of patents that can be generated from community service activities funded by Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Technology Research and Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia.

The purpose of community service is to to delivery services for childhood education teachers through coaching model of “Independent Soul” in the context of character development of PAUD teachers in dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic, and to improve the quality of PAUD. This program uses a qualitative approach. The data in this research were obtained through FGDs, interviews, and literature studies. The activity mentioned in this program is an effort to hold a community-service based program to apply the appropriate technology known as Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) in education. The result of the activity indicates that the right methods and approaches to raise motivation and enthusiasm for PAUD teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic are coaching and training that emphasizes the aspects of sense and soul processing. Those methods and approaches are proven to give a positive impression for the participants.

In Community Service activities, partners are Bika Bakar business actors in Medan City. The business partner has been engaged in the culinary sector, especially traditional cake type foods since 1990. The type of cake food produced by this business partner is baked bika cake. The production process is carried out at home with the help of several employees and equipment that is still simple, does not have accountancy , packaging that still uses plastic bags and limited access to marketing. Promotions that are lacking make partner products unable to compete with cake products produced by large businesses. Partners still use simple tools so that the production of bika bakar is not optimal in quantity and quality of production, so that Ms. Nurmalis' roasted bika is still less popular than cakes with well-known brands. Improvement in designing good simple bookkeeping in financial management. Increasing the quality and quantity of Bika Bakar production after the addition of a furnace and an increasing number of bika cake molds and using good paper bags, as well as product development through making brands in Bika Bakar Mitra products and online marketing.

ABSTRACTToday's muria coffee has a universal appeal to many people from different walks of life. Coffee lovers in Indonesia and abroad are also increasing. This triggered to develop the production of coffee muria as a regional superior product that should be lifted nationally. The problems faced by the perpetrators of SMEs coffee martia is the post-harvest processing of coffee, from the stage of sorting coffee, roasting, grinding, packaging, until the technique of coffee marketing. The purpose of this activity is to advance the muria coffee SMEs by educating SME players through coffee processing training and improving the coffee production process from manual to automatic using machines. The target of this activity was the coffee SMEs in Colo village, Dawe district. The method is done by giving machines and training on coffee processing. The output of this community service activity is the increasing in productivity of muria coffee from 3 kg / day to 15 kg / day. In addition, through coffee processing training, the quality of coffee is increasing by the uniformity of roasted coffee been, by using a roasting machine. Therefore, this activity is expected to encourage muria coffee products as the regional superior products.Keywords: coffee, muria, productivity, umkm ABSTRAKSaat ini kopi muria memiliki daya tarik universal bagi banyak orang dari berbagai lapisan masyarakat. Penikmat kopi di Indonesia maupun mancanegara juga terus meningkat. Hal tersebut memicu untuk mengembangkan produksi kopi muria sebagai produk unggulan daerah yang patut di angkat secara nasional. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pelaku UMKM kopi muria adalah pengolahan pasca panen kopi, mulai tahap penyortiran kopi, roasting, grinding, packaging, sampai pada teknik pemasaran kopi. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memajukan UMKM kopi muria dengan melakukan edukasi kepada pelaku UMKM melalui kegiatan pelatihan pengolahan kopi dan perbaikan proses produksi kopi dari manual menjadi otomatis menggunakan mesin. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para pelaku UMKM kopi di kelurahan Colo kecamatan Dawe. Metode kegiatan dilakukan dengan cara pemberian mesin dan pelatihan pengolahan kopi. Luaran dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatnya produktivitas UMKM kopi muria dari 3 kg/ hari menjadi 15 kg/hari. Selain itu melalui pelatihan pengolahan kopi, dihasilkan peningkatan kualitas kopi yaitu hasil kematangan biji kopi sangrai yang seragam, dengan penggunaan mesin penyangrai kopi. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendorong produk kopi muria sebagai produk unggulan daerah.Kata Kunci: kopi, muria, produktivitas, umkm

Natural soap is a soap with basic ingredients using herbal ingredients such as olive oil, coconut oil, and milk. MayangSari natural soap is produced by a joint business group in the Pesanggrahan Village, Batu City. The problem of natural soap production in the Mayangsari business group is that there is no selling permit from BPOM, the liquid soap production process has not been maximized where it does not yet know the technique of mixing milk with other ingredients so that it is easily separated, lack of equipment so that production is not optimal and bookkeeping management and marketing are still manual. The aim of the Community Service Program (PUBM) is to improve the quantity and quality of etawa goat milk soap, expand the product marketing network, and improve the group's managerial ability. The method used in the Community Service activities includes 4 stages, namely the practice of production, training, mentoring, and product publication. The result of the implementation of the Community Service program is to increase the productivity of the agroindustry of "Olive Milk" etawa goat milk soap, among others through the practice of natural soap production by utilizing grant equipment from DPPM-UMM.

Hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) is known as one of the weeds that have grown high speed so potentially damaging to the aquatic environment. Presence at the water hyacinth has its own important values associated with the sustainability of aquatic ecosystems, namely as a producer. Community service activities aims to provide training and mentoring utilization of water hyacinth into liquid compost to reduce water pollution and improve the local economy Karangkimpul Village Kaligawe Gayamsari District Semarang City. Location of community service is an area of marsh overgrown with water hyacinth. Community service that has been taken is focused on how simple and appropriate technology can be used by the public through the processing of water hyacinth into products such as liquid compost. The debriefing is given in the form of the theory and practice of composting, packaging and product marketing strategies. Liquid compost product made from the water hyacinth is expected to support the national fertilizer demand and improve people's lives.Eceng gondok (Eichornia crassipes) dikenal sebagai salah satu gulma yang memiliki kecepatan tumbuh yang tinggi sehingga berpotensi merusak lingkungan perairan. Keberadaan eceng gondok di perairan memiliki nilai penting tersendiri terkait dengan keberlangsungan ekosistem perairan yaitu sebagai produsen. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan pemanfaatan eceng gondok menjadi pupuk kompos cair untuk mengurangi pencemaran air dan meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat Desa Karangkimpul Kelurahan Kaligawe Kecamatan Gayamsari Kota Semarang. Lokasi pengabdian masyarakat merupakan daerah rawa yang banyak ditumbuhi eceng gondok. Pengabdian masyarakat yang telah ditempuh ini menitikberatkan pada bagaimana teknologi sederhana dan tepat guna dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat melalui pengolahan eceng gondok menjadi produk berupa pupuk kompos cair. Pembekalan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat berupa teori dan praktik pembuatan pupuk kompos, pengemasan dan strategi pemasaran produk. Produk pupuk kompos cair berbahan dasar eceng gondok diharapkan dapat mendukung kebutuhan pupuk nasional dan meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat Desa Karangkimpul Kecamatan Gayamsari Kota Semarang.
