Kata kunci: remaja, dismenore, antioksidan, superokside dismutase AbstractPrimary dysmenorrhoe is a painful menstrual cramps without obvious pathology. Cramps is lasting for one day or more, accaompanied by nausea, diarrhea and headache. Problems cause by dysmenorrhea are an increase in school attendance in adolescents resulting in low academic grades of students. Superokside Dismeutase (SOD) is a bioactive ingredient that is known as antioxidants, protecting cells against harmful SOD oxidants (free radicals) SOD convert superoxide anion into hydrogen perokxide and oxygen, often call as primary defense agains oxidative stress. Primary dysmenorrhoe increased uterine activity or increased uterine contractions cause arteriolar vasospasm resulting in ischemia and lower abdominal cramping and increased a lots of oxygen produced. The objective of this study was to determine the differences in the levels of superoxide dismutase between adolencents with and without dysmenorrhoe. This study is a comparative observasional cross-sectional design, the study conducted at Biomedical Laboratory Medical Faculty of Andalas University in May-Juli 2014. The samples consisted two groups with 34 samples each. The level of SOD using Elisa method. Data were analyzed by Mann-whitney with p<0,05 considered statistically significant. The result obtained by the average levels of SOD adolescents who experienced dysmenorrea is 36,76u/ml, with a value of p>0,05 (0,345). The conclusion of this study is no significant difference SOD levels between adolescents with and without dysmenorrea. Keywords: adolescent, dysmenorrea, antioxidant, superoxide dismutase

Abstract Background: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In COVID-19 there is a process of thrombosis and coagulopathy, which are systemic inflammation and endothelial disorders resulting in hypercoagulability. D-dimer is a laboratory test that can determine coagulation activation (hypercoagulability) and fibrinolysis. D-dimer can be used as a guide of anticoagulant and thrombolytic therapy and prognostic parameter in COVID-19 patients, where its value runs parallel to the severity of the disease and is associated with increased mortality. Materials and methods: The whole sampling was taken from 59 medical records of inpatients confirmed with COVID-19 through the RT-PCR examination at Immanuel Hospital, Bandung City for the period of October 1 st - December 31 st, 2020. The value of d-dimer was taken from whole blood, tested with sandwich ELISA method with cut-off value (normal value) < 0.5μg/ml. COVID-19 patient classification was based on the COVID-19 guideline from Indonesian Ministry of Health. The research method was observational analytical with cross-sectional design. Statistical test used was Kruskal-Wallis test with Mann-Whitney advanced test (α = 0.05). Results: The mean d-dimer value in patients with mild, moderate, and severe COVID-19 was 0.3034 µg/mL; 0.5138 µg/mL; and 1.1751 µg/mL. The results of Kruskal-Wallis test showed a very significant difference in mean d-dimer values in mild, moderate, and severe COVID-19 patients. Mann-Whitney test showed that there was a very significant difference in the mean d-dimer value between mild and severe COVID-19 patients, also between moderate and severe COVID-19 patients with a value of p = 0.000 (p <0.01). But there was no difference in the mean d-dimer value between mild and moderate COVID-19 patients, p = 0.454 (p> 0.05). Conclusion: There is a very significant difference in d-dimer values between mild, moderate and severe COVID-19 patients. The d-dimer value increases with the severity of COVID-19. Infertility is a disease characterized by the failure to establish a pregnancy after 12 months of regular unprotected sexual intercourse. As the incidence of infertility increases, knowledge and attitude about infertility on students may decrease the incidence of infertility in the future. The aim of this study is to determine and compare the knowledge and attitude regarding infertility among YARSI University students based on their faculty and gender. This was an analytic study with cross-sectional design, which conducted on September until November 2016. The samples were using bachelor’s degree students from 2013 classes of YARSI University in total 86 respondents. Data were obtained by using questionnaire that has been validated. This study used univariate and bivariate analysis method. The results of this study showed that majority of students have moderate level of knowledge regarding infertility (46,5%) and good attitude towards infertility (97%). Significant difference was found in knowledge about infertility between faculties (p=0,000; ?0,05). While there was no significant difference in knowledge about infertility between genders with (p=0,471;0,05). Significant differences were also not found in attitudes regarding infertility between faculties with (p=0,399; 0.05) and genders with (p=0,083; 0.05). Based on the research results medical students have a better knowledge about infertility than non-medical student. Faculty affect the knowledge about infertility, but do not affect the attitude towards infertility. Meanwhile, genders do not affect both knowledge and attitude towards infertility. Thus, it is important to improve student’s knowledge and attitude regarding infertility.

Background and objectivesmHealth offers a new opportunity to ensure access to qualified healthcare providers. Therefore, to better understand its potential in Bangladesh, it is important to understand how young people use mobile phones for healthcare. Here we examine the knowledge, attitudes and intentions to use mHealth services among young population.DesignPopulation based cross sectional household survey.Setting and participantsA total of 4909 respondents, aged 18 years and above, under the Chakaria Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) area, were interviewed during the period November 2012 to April 2013.MethodsParticipants younger than 30 years of age were defined as young (or generation Y). To examine the level of knowledge about and intention towards mHealth services in generation Y compared with their older counterparts, the percentage of the respective outcome measure from a 2×2 contingency table and adjusted odds ratio (aOR), which controls for potential confounders such as mobile ownership, sex, education, occupation and socioeconomic status, were estimated. The aOR was estimated using both the Cochran–Mantel–Haenszel approach and multivariable logistic regression models controlling for confounders.ResultsGeneration Y had significantly greater access to mobile phones (50%vs40%) and better knowledge about its use for healthcare (37.8%vs27.5%;aOR 1.6 (95% CI1.3 to 2.0)). Furthermore, the level of knowledge about two existing mHealth services in generation Y was significantly higher compared with their older counterparts, with aOR values of 3.2 (95% CI 2.6 to 5.5) and 1.5 (95% CI 1.1 to 1.8), respectively. Similarly, generation Y showed significantly greater intention towards future use of mHealth services compared with their older counterparts (aOR 1.3 (95% CI 1.1 to 1.4)). The observed associations were not modified by sociodemographic factors.ConclusionThere is a greater potential for mHealth services in the future among young people compared with older age groups. However, given the low overall use of mHealth, appropriate policy measures need to be formulated to enhance availability, access, utilisation and effectiveness of mHealth services.
