An efforts to improve the quality in higher education needs to be done on an ongoing basis. One way is by providing optimum academic services for students. This study aimed to describe how big the satisfaction index of students to academic services which include aspects, tangibles, reliability, empathy, responsivenes, assurance, and information systems. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive survey method. The population in this study were all students of IAIN SAS Bangka Belitung. Engineering samples using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. By using Taro Yamane formula obtained the number of samples are 831 students consisting of 416 students from the Department of Tarbiyah, 291 students of Syariah, and Ekonomi Islam, 125 students from the Department of Dakwah and Komunikasi. Data analysis using techniques percentage calculations and compares the percentage index consisting of a category of very satisfied, satisfied, fairly satisfied, and very dissatisfied. Results showed that the satisfaction of students to academic services at IAIN SAS Bangka Belitung consisting of aspects, tangibles, reliability, empathy, responsivenes, assurance, and information systems is still relatively low with satisfaction index of less than 60 percent, or only 43.8 percent.   Abstrak  Upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu di perguruan tinggi perlu dilakukan secara berkesinambungan. Salah satunya adalah dengan menyediakan pelayanan akademik yang optimal bagi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan seberapa besar indeks kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap pelayanan akademik yang meliputi aspek, tangibles, reliability, emphaty, responsivenes, assurance, dan sistem informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode survey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa IAIN SAS Bangka Belitung berjumlah 2500 mahasiswa. Teknik sampel menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Dengan menggunakan rumus Taro Yamane  didapat jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 831 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 416 mahasiswa Jurusan Tarbiyah, 291 mahasiswa Jurusan Syariah dan Ekonomi Islam, dan 125 mahasiswa Jurusan Dakwah dan Komunikasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik perhitungan persentase lalu membandingkannya dengan indeks persentase yang terdiri dari kategori sangat puas, puas, cukup puas, dan sangat tidak puas. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap pelayanan akademik di IAIN SAS Bangka Belitung yang terdiri dari aspek, tangibles, reliability, emphaty, responsivenes, assurance, dan sistem informasi masih tergolong rendah dengan indeks kepuasan kurang dari 60 persen atau hanya 43.8 persen. Angka ini menunjukkan mahasiswa merasa cukup puas dengan pelayanan akademik yang diberikan oleh IAIN SAS Bangka Belitung.

AbstrakUsaha peternakan itik alabio di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara belum berkembang sebagaimana mestinya ditunjukkan 80 persen peternak kepemilikannya dibawah 500 ekor. Pengembangan agribisnis itik alabio dengan  memperhatikan semua subsistem menjadi penting agar diperoleh tingkat produksi dan pendapatan maksimal.Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji keterkaitan antar subsistem agribisnis itik alabio petelur terhadap produksi dan pendapatan peternak. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey, penentuan sampel peternak memakai teknik stratified random sampling, sedangkan sampel pedagang, breeder dan pembesaran melalui teknik purposive. Hipotesis diuji dengan analisis multivariat, uji F dan uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengembangan agribisnis melalui peningkatan produksi dapat dilakukan dengan memperhatikan sumber bibit, harga kandang, jumlah pakan, jumlah tenaga kerja dan biaya pemasaran, sedangkan melalui peningkatan pendapatan dengan memperhatikan sumber bibit, harga bibit, harga kandang, jumlah pakan dan biaya pemasaran. Secara bersama-sama semua subsistem menentukan namun secara parsial subsistem lembaga penunjang tidak menentukan tingkat produksi dan pendapatan peternak.Kata kunci : Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara, itik alabio, pengembangan gribisnis.AbstractAlabio duck farming businesses in Hulu Sungai Utara district have not yet been developed as it should be, it indicated that 80 percent of the owners farmers just owned under 500 ducks. Alabio duck agribusiness development with attention to all subsystems become important in order to obtain the maximum level of production and income. This research aimed to examine the linkages between agribusiness subsystems of Alabio duck layers . Research used a survey method with stratified random sampling technique, while the sample traders, breeders and growers by using purposive. The hypothesis testing analysis used multivariate analysis, F test and T test. The results showed, agribusiness development through increased production can be done with the source of female ducks, cages prices, the amount of feed, the amount of labor and marketing costs. While through increasing of revenue could be fulfilled by female duck sources, female duck price, price of the cage, the amount of feed and marketing costs. Together of all subsystems were crucial but in partial subsystems supporting institutions did not determine the level of production and income of the farmers. The main undertaking before an educator or instructor or parent is to help the understudies in defining transient objectives and long haul objectives. Objective setting gives self-assurance and inspiration to the understudy which is a fundamental key to improve or raise execution. Goal setting is a psychological cycle that includes setting up of explicit destinations, estimations and methodology to accomplish the objective, which likewise remembers the technique alteration for terms of the input or blunder made. The main objective of the study was to examine goal setting among adolescents in relation to parental involvement. To accomplish the objective, Goal Setting Scale developed by the investigator and Parental Involvement Scale by Dr. Sangeeta Tramma, 1998 were adopted. Matrials and metods: The descriptive survey method was employed for the present investigation. The sample consists of 464 adolescents studied in CBSE affiliated schools of Ludhiana district of Punjab. Data has been collected from students of 9th and 10th class whose parents are graduates or undergraduates. The sample was further categorized into male and female students. Sample has been drawn by employing simple random sampling technique, Stratified random sampling technique, purposive sampling technique and systematic random sampling technique. Results: Findings of the study reveal significant relationship between goal setting among adolescents and dimensions of parental involvement; significant relationship between goal setting among male adolescents and dimensions of parental involvement and significant relationship between goal setting among female adolescents and dimensions of parental involvement. Conclusion: The study has practical implications for students to set goals before doing any educational and vocational tasks or activities; study also has practical implications for parents to provide such environment that will help their child in setting goals and it will also helpful for teachers and educational administrators in organizing such activities and programmes that ensures parent’s involvement in their child’s goal setting.


This study was aimed to assess prospects and challenges of micro and small scale enterprises in Adama city. A descriptive survey design was employed. A survey questionnaire which included both the close ended and the open ended questions, observation and document review were used as data collection tools of the study. The study used stratified random sampling technique to select the sample and accordingly about 116 MSE respondents were selected from a list of registered micro and small scale enterprises which obtained from Adama city micro and small scale development office. The result of the study showed that limited finance, lack of awareness about policies related to MSE, lack of business development services and internal management related problems are the major challenges of MSE in Adama city. This finding implicate for the need of further research by taking large sample from various micro and small scale enterprises.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh keterlibatan orangtua terhadap disiplin di era digital. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Ar-Rahmah, Bogor pada Januari sampai November 2020. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif asosiatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 1–4 di Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah, dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 93 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah proportionate stratified random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk variabel keterlibatan orangtua pada dimensi kemitraan antara orangtua dengan satuan pendidikan memiliki persentase sebesar 57% dan termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Sedangkan untuk variabel disiplin di era digital diperoleh hasil bahwa mayoritas anak belum memiliki disiplin yang tinggi. Hasil analisis data disimpulkan bahwa keterlibatan orangtua memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap disiplin di era digital. Sebesar 27,4% variasi variabel sikap disiplin di era digital dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel keterlibatan orangtua, sedangkan 72,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti.Abstract This study aims to analyze the effect of parental involvement on discipline in the digital age. This research was conducted at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Ar-Rahmah, Bogor from January to November 2020. This research method used a survey method with an associative quantitative approach. The population in this study were students grade 1–4 at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah, with a total sample size of 93 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was proportionate stratified random sampling. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the variable of parental involvement in the partnership dimension between parents and educational units has a percentage of 57% and is included in the medium category. As for the discipline variable in the digital era, the results show that most children do not have high discipline. The results of data analysis concluded that parental involvement has a significant effect on discipline in the digital era. 27.4% of the variation in the variable attitude of discipline in the digital era can be explained by the variable of parental involvement, while 72.6% is influenced by other factors that are not examined.

Self-awareness, at any stage, is very important in an individual’s life as it includes the recognition of cognitive- and social-, as well as emotional intelligence within the self.This study was conducted with an aim to assess ‘teaching with the head’ and ‘teaching with heart’ which one is more powerful in developing self-awareness among their students.The descriptive survey method was used for the 405 students and 58 teachers of Kolkata (South Kolkata and North Kolkata), selected through a random sampling technique. Two standardized questionnaires were prepared for assessing the nature of a student’s self-awareness and teacher’s teaching methods while t-tests were conducted to test the hypotheses. Results indicate that the methods of developing self-awareness must be influenced by the characteristics of the teaching with heart and during adolescence - students become very much aware of themselves which, in turn, emphasizes the requirement of proper development of their self-awareness. Therefore, a major contribution of this study may provide a platform to isolate some of the factors which affect the self-awareness of the adolescent students. This present study is to find out to what extent Mathematical Interest of Higher Secondary first year students is related to their achievement in Mathematics. The study primarily aims to determine which domain of social support significantly influences the personal resilience of government employees. The study utilized a descriptive correlational design and employed a survey method to attain the research objectives. The selected respondents were the 210 government employees who were selected through a stratified random sampling technique. The researchers made use of the pilot-tested and enhanced adapted questionnaires. The statistical tools used were mean, pearson r and regression. As reflected on the results, social support and personal resilience of government employees obtained different mean scores but both belong to high descriptive levels. Further, it was found out that there is a significant relationship between social support and the personal resilience of government employees. Furthermore, it was found that social support significantly influences personal resilience having three out of four domains contributed to its significant influence. Lastly, it was emotional support emerged as the best predictor in this study.   Keywords: public administration, social support, personal resilience, emotional support, Philippines

This paper seeks to know the awareness level of Indian graduate aspirants towards Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship concepts. Under descriptive research, survey method was conducted at a selective institution in Andhra pradesh. A sample of 129 out of 573 was drawn using proportionate stratified random sampling technique, out of which 113 had filled the forms and the leftover 16 were absent at the time of survey. The data was collected using schedule with 13 questions and the data analysis was done using descriptive statistics measure and percentages. From the analysis, it was found that about 53.98% of graduates heard about Entrepreneurship and only 18.58% heard about Intrapreneurship. Very few graduates have designated that certain most significant motives, characteristics and skills required for becoming successful Entrepreneurs or Intrapreneurs. It was also identified that only 23.89% and 7.9% of the total 113 graduate aspirants were willing to become Entrepreneurs and Intrapreneurs correspondingly. The major limitation of the study was that the survey meant for the chosen institution and had excluded the discussion of financial sources for Entrepreneurs or Intrapreneurs, left for further research. Lastly, it was concluded that the graduates were not clearly aware of the concepts, there arises a need to implant the concepts for their growth and our nation aswell.

Introduction: Some couples do not have the gender of children they prefer which could result in physical, psychological, sexual, obstetric and several other consequences. The present study was conducted among men to determine their perception of gender preference and factors responsible for their gender preference. Objective: To assess the perception of gender preference and factors responsible for gender preference among men. Methods: A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. Proportionate stratified random sampling technique was used to select 143 out of 221 male Civil Servants from nine (9) different departments. The instrument used for data collection was a self-developed Questionnaire on Perception and Determinants of Gender Preference (QPDGP). The reliability of the instrument was established through the test-retest method using Cronbach’s alpha which yielded co-efficient of 0.82. Data collected were summarized using frequencies and percentages. Results: The results showed that 90 (62.9%) men preferred male gender. For 79 (55.2%) men, the choice of gender was aimed at psychological satisfaction in marriage. Also, 77 (53.8%) preferred male children because they had better initiative, were easier to train 101 (70.6%), to allow for security of family inheritance 142 (99.3%) and continuity of family name 141 (98.6%). Some reasons given for female child preference were better ability to take care of younger ones 99 (69.2%), more supportive to aged parents 115 (80.4%) and being a reliable emotional support 88 (61.5%). Conclusion: Male gender preference is strongly perceived among the men. It was recommended that reproductive health services be modified to allow male involvement.

In order to investigate the awareness of B.A/B.Sc.Ed integrated Courses among the higher secondary students, a sample size of 309 higher secondary students were selected by adopting a simple random sampling technique from the Tirunelveli district, Tamilnadu. Awareness of B.A/B.Sc.Ed integrated courses were assessed with the help of ‘Scale on Awareness of B.A/B.Sc.Ed integrated courses’. A descriptive survey method was adopted for the study and the data obtained from the survey was analyzed using percentage analysis, t-test, and F-test. The findings of the study depicted that there is a low level of awareness of B.A/B.Sc.Ed integrated courses among the higher secondary students. Moreover, there is no significant difference in awareness of B.A/B.Sc.Ed integrated courses among the higher secondary students with regard to gender and locality of the students. But it is found that there is significant difference in awareness of B.A/B.Sc.Ed integrated courses among the higher secondary students with regard to their age group.
