Agroecosystem is form of ecosystem that is man-made.It is a part of ethnoecology as a way for traditional society to cultivate their land for agricultural purposes. The people of Namang Subdistrict has long applied their ancestors tradisional ecology knowledge in culvating their rice fields and gardens. Exploring this knowledge and surpassing it would be beneficial to humankind. To collect the data, the present writer conducted field observation and interview by using snowball sampling method and scientific study. Namang society cultivates rice fields and gardens based on traditional knowladge. Farmer’s rice agroecocystems believe in the moon and the to plant rice is very influential on natural conditions, because nature for them greatly influences the success of rice fields. The murok jerameh tradition is a thanksgiving for the abundant rice yields and begs god that the following year’s harvest is also abundant. Farmers agroecosystems believe that the existence of kiara (Ficus benjamina L) trees indicates that the land is fertile.

The utilization of protected animals is feared to accelerate the rate of animal extinction if there is no field observation related to the use of animals by the Kanayant Dayak tribe in Temahar village. Related data and animal species, animal parts and circumchations are preliminary indicators to determine the benefits and functions of the animal itself. The method used in this research is the survey method of selecting respondents using the Snowball sampling method, data collection using questionnaire assistance. The results showed the use of animals as much as 16 types. For the ritual of Adat 3 types, treatment 8 types and mystical 5 types. The main parts are meat, bile, fur, heart, blood, kidney, pedals, scales, eggs, liver, and head. Kanayant Dayak people cultivate animal meat for traditional ritual, treatment and mystical by means of cooking gravy and burnt, most people still use traditional equipment to cook and burn meat and for hunting.Keywords: Ethnozoology, Kanayant Dayak, Medicine, Mysticism, Traditional Rituals.

The aim of this research is to examine empirically the influence of financial literacy on investment decisions through ponzi and pyramid schemes. Variables embedded were Social Economic Characteristics, Financial Literacy and Investments Decision. The population of this study were the people who invest their money through a Ponzi scheme and pyramid scheme. The sampling method applied was a snowball sampling of 43 respondents. Based from the research result, it was concluded that social economic characteristics, positively influences financial literacy. While, financial literacy influenced investment decision through ponzi and pyramid schemes. It is freaky because the people with good financial literacy (job occupation, education, gender and income) are still trapped under these junk investment trick modes. It was assumed that there were the other factors as the example, psychological factor like individual greed that influenced the financially literate people to invest through both junk investment schemes. It was also suggested a modification in financial literacy measuring because the existing financial literacy measuring tools had not been able to accommodate the understanding of ponzi and pyramid scheme investment.

Woman have strong links with the environmental. In his role as manager of the household, they are more interacting with the environmental and natural recousces.The efforts were made by Maklew’s Woman with cultivated an attitude of assistance and keep maintain their environmental. So the worked together in their culture like kayau in their countryside stil remained until now. But effort of Maklew’s woman to keep maintained the local wisdom “kayau” for environmental management, there has challenges. One of the interesting things to be examined is that of the management of the environment and resources. Maklew is the tribe with a practice of very strong patriarchy. The position of women in Maklew etnic is assumed as “second person”. Specifically in the culture ofetnic maklew, the position of women is considered very important. Women and the land are symbolized as the origin and the source of life, as the giver of life. The study of Maklw’s Womans Participation for environmental management use the feminism and ecofeminism theory and exchanged theory where there are several indicators related by Kayau as a local wisdom to environmental management. The indicators or prepositions are role of division, acces of control and decision making making with kayau perpective. This research was carried out in Wasur village, which is one of villages with the population of indigenous of Marind, located in Merauke, bordering Papua New Guinea. This research includes of qualitative and descriptive approach. Statistic collected is done by observation method, intervieuw using snowball sampling method. Data analysis in this research by descriptive analisys. As the result in the research showing that Maklew’s Woman in participation on environmental management in Wasue Village still strong and kept well. There was show from mutual cooperation from Maklew’s woman on environmental management with Kayau that still continues. All the people especially Maklew’s Woman still kept the local wisdom Kayau in their environmental management activity.

Panglipuran village is a reflection of balinese in the field of tourism. In anticipating the decrease of visitors in Panglipuran due to the covid19 pandemic, it is necessary to conduct a scientific study, namely social mapping of cultural  production. The study aims to ease the people in Panglipuran village to explore the potential of the village to recover economic condition due to the decrease of tourists. Based on the bordieu paradigm and field observation, there are four potential assets in dealing with the crisis, namely symbolic, cultural, economic, and social assets.

This research aims to study the utilization and processing of tree species in daily activities by the community of Bukit Batu Village. Respondents is select using snowball sampling method, field observations and study literature. The results of the study are 22  types of tress from 15 family that  been used by the socsiety of Bukit Batu village, Sungai Kunyit Subdistrict, Mempawah Regency. Of these 22 tree spescies divided into 4 groups including building 10 species, firewood 5 species, boat 7 species, and medicine1 species.  The most widely used part of the tree is the stem 95%, twigs and branches 22%, and the  laest used is the skin part which is as much as 4% by the people of Bukit Batu Village.Keywords: Bukit Batu Village,  ethnobotany, useful plants, snowball sampling

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai pemahaman, tindakan, sumbangan dan kepedulian masyarakat tentang ancaman kerusakan terumbu karang di Kecamatan Sikakap. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Informan penelitian adalah masyarakat Kecamatan Sikakap yang dipilih menggunakan metode snowball sampling. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh; 1) secara umum masyarakat telah mampu menjelaskan dengan baik arti dan fungsi terumbu karang, namun masih kurang menyadari ancaman yang dapat ditimbulkan terhadap kelangsungan hidup terumbu karang. 2) Sumbangan masyarakat terhadap kelangsungan hidup terumbu karang hanya dalam bentuk moril saja sedangkan materil tidak. 3) Tindakan masyarakat terhadap sebab-sebab kerusakan terumbu karang yaitu penyalahgunaan alat tangkap perikanan, pencemaran laut oleh sampah rumah tangga, penambangan karang, dan aktivitas perahu. 4) Kepedulian masyarakat terhadap ancaman kerusakan terumbu karang lebih ditunjukkan oleh masyarakat yang bertempat tinggal di perkampungan. Kata Kunci: Kepedulian, Ancaman Kerusakan, Terumbu Karang ABSTRACK This research of aims are provided informations on understanding, actions, contributions and public careness about the threat of coral reef damage in Sikakap subdistrict. This research is a qualitative research. The research informant is the Sikakap subdistrict people selected by the snowball sampling method. The results obtained 1) generally, public has been able to explain well the meaning and function of the coral reefs, but they still not aware of the threats can be impact to the survival of coral reefs. 2) Public contributions to the survival of coral reefs are only in moral, form while materil is non-existent. 3) Public actions on the causes of damage to coral reefs is abuse of fishing gear, sea pollution by household waste, exploitation of corals and boat activities. 4) Public careness to the threat of coral reef damage is more showed by the people who lived in the village. Abstract. Supiandi MI, Mahanal S, Zubaidah S, Julung H, Ege B. 2019. Ethnobotany of traditional medicinal plants used by Dayak Desa Community in Sintang, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 20: 1264-1270. Dayak Desa community has a long history of using medicinal plants as one of the methods to overcome health problems. Along with the advancement of science, the influx of foreign cultures and environmental degradation, traditional knowledge about medicinal plants and their utilization are only owned by the old generation. This study, therefore, aimed to identify medicinal plants used by Dayak Desa community who lives in Pakak Village. To collect information from the community, a survey was conducted in June 2017. Snowball sampling method was utilized to select 6 informants from whom information related to the plants’ local names, the used parts of the plants, and the ways of managing and using the plants for curing illnesses was obtained through structured interviews. Data analysis was qualitative and quantitative. The results show that 25 species of medicinal plants from 9 families. The most widely used part of the plants is the leaves. The people in the community boil the leaves and drink the extract. Based on the results of the ICS analysis, the plant's value ranged from 1 to 24. The highest value was observed in keladi (Colocasia esculenta L.) and the lowest value was found in kayu kenanga (Canangium odoratum Baill).

Table grape production plays an important role in the economy of many countries in Africa. It serves as a source of income for the people who are engaged in its production and being one of the enterprises that is labour-intensive, thereby providing employment for more people. The main purpose of this study was to analyse the economic efficiency of table grape production in Waterberg and Sekhukhune Districts of Limpopo province, South Africa. The study used primary data collected through administration of structured questionnaires on a sample of 12 farmers by employing a snowball sampling method. Leaf vegetables are in great demand by the people in Bogor City who are mostly from Sunda tribe. Bogor city residents who buy vegetables at Giant Extra Botani Square willing to pay more than those who buy in traditional markets. The research aimed to analyze marketing efficiency of leaf vegetables especially spinach, chinesse green cabbage (Brassica chinensis var. Parachinensis), kale, lettuce head and chinesse white cabbage (Brassica pekinensia L) at Giant Extra Botany Square in Bogor City . Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively with marketing margin, farmer's share and R/C Ratio analysis. Primary data collection was taken from interview with Giant Extra’s management by purposive method, while interview to supplier and farmer used snowball sampling method. The results showed that the marketing efficiency of leaf vegetables in Giant Extra Botanical Square Bogor City, based on marketing margin analysis obtained the largest margin value on Chinese White Cabbage (Brassica pekinensia L) commodity amounting to Rp 20.450. Suppliers get the greatest benefits on commodities of spinach, Chinese Green Cabbage and kale. The highest farmer's share was obtained by farmers in lettuce head commodities by 69.6%. The purposes of this study were to know marketing channel, marketing margin, share, and marketing profit of fresh fruit bunches of oil palm in Tempakan Village, Batu Engau Subregency, Paser Regency. The study was conducted from June to August 2016. The sampling method was done with two ways as random sampling in farmer level and in marketing channel as snowball sampling. Data analysis were done by calculating marketing margin, share, and marketing profit. The results of this study showed that there are two marketing channels in reserach location are channel of level zero and channel of level one. Marketing margin in farmer level was Rp40.39 kg-1 and margin in whole trader level was Rp314.44 kg-1. The average share of farmer level was 97.58% and in trader level was 81.48%. Margin and share that profitable for farmer is at channel of level zero. The average of profit in whole trader level of fresh fruit bunches was 112.75%, that meant marketing by whole trader is profitable.
