ABSTRACT: FACTORS INFLUENCING THE SELF-EMPOWERMENT IN CONTROLLING BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS IN DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS IN MUNDUPESISIR VILLAGE, MUNDU DISTRICT, CIREBON REGENCY  Background: Diabetes mellitus is a disease characterized by a set of symptoms caused by a decrease in insulin secretion or a decrease in insulin sensitivity. This condition increases blood sugar levels. Efforts to improve the self-empowerment of patients with diabetes mellitus must understand the factors that influence the process of self-empowerment of each patient with diabetes mellitus. To be maximized by patients with diabetes mellitus to have good self-empowerment.Objective: To identify the factors that influence self-empowerment in controlling blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus.Research Methods: this type of research is descriptive with a retrospective study approach. The subjects of this study were patients with diabetes mellitus, totaling 32 respondents. Collecting data using questionnaires distributed to respondents. Self-empowerment was measured using the Diabetes mellitus Empowerment Scale (DES) questionnaire. Data analysis was univariate using frequency distribution and bivariate using chi-square.Research Results: There is a significant relationship in education factor with self-empowerment of diabetes mellitus patients (p-value = 0.006, = 0.05). While the factors that did not have a significant relationship were gender, age, length of suffering from diabetes mellitus, knowledge, income, and family support (p-value > α).Conclusion: There is a significant relationship in the education factor and while the factors that do not have a significant relationship are gender, age, duration of suffering from diabetes mellitus, knowledge, income, and family support. Keadaan ini mengakibatkan peningkatan kadar gula darah. Upaya meningkatkan pemberdayaan diri pasien diabetes mellitus, harus memahami tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi proses pemberdayaan diri setiap pasien diabetes mellitus.  Agar dapat dimaksimalkan oleh pasien diabetes mellitus untuk memiliki pemberdayaan diri yang baik.Tujuan: Teridentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemberdayaan diri dalam mengontrol kadar gula darah pada penderita diabetes mellitus.Metode Penelitian: jenis penelitian deksriptif dengan pendekatan retrospective studi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pasien diabetes mellitus yang berjumlah 32 responden. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuisioner yang dibagikan kepada responden. Pemberdayaan diri diukur menggunakan kuisioner Diabetes mellitus Empowerment Scale (DES). Analisis data secara univariat menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan bivariat menggunakan chi square.Hasil penelitian: Terdapat hubungan signifikan dalam faktor pendidikan dengan pemberdayaan diri pasien diabetes melitus (p value = 0,006, α = 0,05). Sedangkan faktor yang tidak mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan adalah jenis kelamin, usia, lama menderita diabetes melitus, pengetahuan, pendapatan dan dukungan keluarga (p value > α).Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan signifikan dalam faktor pendidikan dan sedangkan faktor yang tidak mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan adalah jenis kelamin, usia, lama menderita diabetes melitus, pengetahuan, pendapatan dan dukungan keluarga. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti selanjutnya dapat memberikan edukasi yang dapat meningkatkan pemberdayaan diri pasien diabetes melitus. Kata Kunci : pemberdayaan diri, diabetes mellitus

<p>Diabetes Mellitus is a serious chronic disease and occurs both when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin (a hormone that regulates blood glucose) or if the body cannot use the insulin produced effectively. DM sufferers are at risk of complications. These complications can be prevented by controlling diabetic blood glucose levels. Control of blood sugar levels in patients with DM is not adequate to avoid complications, the needs for knowledge and support of family with regular control of blood sugar DM patients. Method: This research was analytic descriptive with cross sectional design. The sampling technique used was random sampling with 50 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Data analysis used Chi Square test with significance level α = 0.05. Result: Based on the results of statistical tests using test, it was found that there was correlation between family support and knowledge and controlling blood sugar levels with p-value 0,002 and there was correlation between family support in controlling blood sugar levels with ρ-value 0,001and obtained p value &lt;0,05. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between family support and knowledge with regular control of blood sugar in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Mangasa Health Center Makassar.</p><p>Diabetes Mellitus merupakan penyakit kronik yang serius dan terjadi baik saat pankreas tidak menghasilkan cukup insulin (hormon yang mengatur glukosa darah) maupun jika tubuh tidak dapat menggunakan insulin yang dihasilkan secara efektif. Penderita DM berisiko mengalami komplikasi. Komplikasi tersebut dapat dicegah dengan mengendalikan kadar glukosa darah diabetesi. Pengendalian kadar gula darah pada penderita DM tersebut belum cukup untuk menghindari terjadinya komplikasi akan tetapi diperlukan adanya pengetahuan dan dukungan keluarga dengan rutinitas dalam mengontrol gula darah penderita DM. Metode Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan ialah random sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 50 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisa data menggunakan uji Chi Square dengan tingkat kemaknaan α = 0,05. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik menggunakan risk didapatkan ada hubungan pengetahuan dalam mengontrol kadar gula darah nilai p-value 0,002 dan ada hubungan dukungan keluarga dalam mengontrol kadar gula darah nilai ρ-value 0,001 diperoleh nilai p&lt;0,05. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna pengetahuan dan dukungan keluarga dengan rutinitas dalam mengontrol gula darah pada penderita Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Mangasa Kota Makassar</p>

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by an increase in blood glucose (hyperglycemia). Physical activity has an impact on insulin action in people at risk for diabetes mellitus.Lack of activity is one of the contributing factors that causes insulin resistance in type II diabetes mellitus and diet is the behavior of humans or a group of humans in meeting their dietary needs which include food attitudes, beliefs and choices. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between patterns of physical activity and diet with blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes melitustipe II. The research method used is a qualitative method. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between patterns of physical activity and diet with blood sugar levels. Conclusions there is a relationship between patterns of physical activity and diet with blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes melitustipe II

ABSTRACTDiabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease whose prevalence continues to increase. WHO predicts that diabetes will be 7 major diseases that will cause the death in 2030. Many people with diabetes are not aware of  it so that they get complications. The increasing number of people with diabetes mellitus who develop complications because of the bad controlling of blood sugar levels  and the lack of support from family. The Complications were observed in this study is microvascular complications. This study aims to analyze between family support and control blood sugar levels with the incidence of microvascular complications in the patients with symptoms of diabetes mellitus in the Community Health Center Jagir Surabaya.This research uses analytic observational study sample of patients with diabetes mellitus who had diabetes mellitus ≥ 5 years as many as 34 samples. The Sampling was done by the simple random sampling, while the data analysis was done by the Chi Square test.The results showed that there was no relationship between family support with symptoms of microvascular complications (p=0.069), but there is a relationship between the control of blood sugar levels with symptoms of microvascular complications (p=0.002).The Microvascular symptoms that are often experienced by people with diabetes mellitus in the Community Health Center Jagir is symptomatic neuropathy complications . The proportion of patients with diabetes mellitus who received family support at 55.9%, while  the patients with diabetes mellitus who control the blood sugar levels well totaling 17 respondents. It is expected that people with diabetes mellitus to control eating diet and regular exercise. Keywords : Family support, blood sugar levels control, symptoms of microvascular complications.

<p><strong>ABSTRACK</strong></p><p><em><strong>Background:</strong> High sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus causes changes in the body. One of its detrimental process called oxidation reaction that causes the increased formation of harmful substances called free radicals. Antioxidant vitamin A, C, and E helpful to reduce oxidative damage in people with diabetes mellitus and prevent complications.</em></p><p><em><strong> Objectives:</strong> The know relationship intake antioxidant with blood glocuse level outpatient type 2 diabetes mellitus in RSUD Panembahan Senopati Bantul Yogyakarta.</em></p><p><em><strong> Methods:</strong> This study was observasional with of cross sectional. The subjects in this study were outpatients with diabetes mellitus type 2 with sampels of 89 respondents. Purposive sampling technique. Data consumption pattern of antioxidant, used semi quantitative food frequency (SQFFQ) laboratories to examination and blood glucose levels. Data analysis used Fisher’s Exact Test. </em></p><p><em><strong>Results:</strong> There is significant association between vitamin C intake with blood sugar levels in patients diabetes mellitus the value of p = 0.004. The existence of a no signifi cant association between vitamin E intake with blood sugar levels in patients diabetes mellitus the value of p = 0.073 and there is no signifi cant association between vitamin A intake with blood sugar levels in patients diabetes mellitus the value of p = 0.252. </em></p><p><em><strong>Conclusion:</strong> There is a relationship between vitamin C intake with blood sugar levels, while the intake of vitamin A and E are not related to blood sugar levels</em></p><p><em><strong> KEYWORDS:</strong> type 2 diabetes mellitus, blood glucose level, vitamin C intake, vitamin A intake, vitamin E intake. </em></p><p><strong>ABSTRAK </strong></p><p><em><strong>Latar Belakang :</strong> Kadar glukosa yang tinggi pada penderita kencing manis/DM menyebabkan berbagai perubahan di dalam tubuh. AbstractDiabetes Mellitus is a group of metaboloc disoreders with sysptoms of increased blood sugar levels(hyperglycaemia) which results in damages to insulin secretion, insulin secretion,insulin activity, or both wrong behaviour ina diabetic diet will make blood sugar levels unstable and will have an impact in patients health problems. This study aimed to describe compliance in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus through a literature review. The method used in the literature review wa to search for articles from 2011-2021 through NCBI searchles and the Garuda Portal. The searching results were obtained in the from of full text and pdf,rhen reviewed by using the strobe instrument,extracted then discussed, and concluded. The results of a literature review of 5 articles showed that there was an effect of dietary compliancr in patients with diabetes mellitus with results. Dietary adherence of diabetes patients was 324 respondents (58%) non-adherence and 235 respondents (42%) obedient in dientary compliance in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. It can be concluded thet non-adherence diabetic patients can experience unstable blood sugar levels. Nurses should be able to increase the understanding of the importance of dietary compliance for patients with diabetes mellitus.Keywords: Compliance, Diet, Diabetes Mellitus. AbstrakDiabetes melitus merupakan sekumpulan hambatan metabolik dengan gejala peningkatan kadar gula darah (hiperglikemia) yang berdampak kerusakan sekresi insulin,aktivitas insulin, atau keduanya. Perilaku yang salah dalam diet diabetes akan menjadikan kadar gula darah tidak stabil dan akan berdampak pada gangguan kesehatan pada pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepatuhan diet pada penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2 melalui literatur review. Metode yang digunakan dalam literature review adalah mencari artikel tahun 2011-2021 melalui penelusuran Ncbi dan Portal Garuda. Hasil pencarian yang didapatkan berupa fulltext dan pdf, kemudian direview dengan menggunakan Intrumen strobe, diekstraksi kemudian dibahas dan disimpulkan. Hasil penelitian literature review dari 5 artikel menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh terhadap kepatuhan diet pada pasien diabetes mellitus dengan hasil Kepatuhan diet pasien diabetes 324 responden (58%) tidak patuh dan 235 responden (42%) patuh dalam Kepatuhan Diet Pada Penderita Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil penderita diabetes tidak patuh menjalani diet sehingga kadar gula darah dalam tubuh tidak stabil. Bagi perawat hendaknya dapat meningkatkan pemahaman tentang kepatuhan guna dapat memperbaiki diet bagi pasien Diabetes mellitus.Kata kunci: Kepatuhan , Diet, dan Diabetes Mellitus.

<p class="abstract"><strong>Background:</strong> Present study was done with objectives to study the co-relation between PASI and Fasting blood sugar (FBS) levels in psoriatic patients with diabetes mellitus and to study the association between duration of topical steroid therapy and Fasting blood sugar (FBS) levels.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Methods:</strong> Present study was conducted in the 26 patients at the Department of Dermatology at a tertiary care centre in Bhuj, Gujarat. A detailed history on the type of psoriasis, duration, associated co-morbid conditions and details of topical steroid therapy was obtained from all patients. They were examined in detail and assigned a PASI score to assess the severity of psoriasis. Patients with nail involvement were scored using N NAIL tool. Fasting blood sugar levels were noted in patients with Diabetes.<strong></strong></p><p class="abstract"><strong>Results:</strong> Age of patients ranged from 15 years to 72 years. The different types of psoriasis observed were palmoplantar psoriasis-14 (50%), and chronic plaque psoriasis - 11. The joint was involved in 7 patients while 19 did not have joint involvement. The Pearson co-relation coefficient between PASI and FBS was 0.60 and p value was 0.001. The Pearson co-relation coefficient between duration of topical steroid therapy and FBS was 0.15, and p value was 0.50.</p><p><strong>Conclusions:</strong> A statistically significant positive correlation between PASI and FBS was noted in this study. The duration of topical steroid therapy was not associated with significant changes in FBS in psoriatic patients with diabetes mellitus. </p>

Pendahuluan: Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit gangguan metabolisme kronis yang ditandai peningkatan kadar gula dalam darah (hiperglikemia). Salah satu faktor pemicu yang berpotensi mempengaruhi kadar gula dalam darah adalah stres. Stres memicu reaksi biokimia tubuh melalui neural dan neuroendokrin. Stres juga merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi tidur. Pola tidur yang tidak teratur menjadi salah satu pemicu perubahan kadar gula darah. Tidur yang berkualitas dan cukup dapat membantu menstabilkan kadar gula darah. Tujuan penelitian: untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres pendekatan cros sectdan kualitas tidur dengan kadar gula darah klien diabetes melitus di rumah sakit muhammadiyah palembang. Metode Penelitian: ini menggunakan desain deskritif analitik yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian: klien diabetes melitus, teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara accidental sampling, jumlah responden sebanyak 65 klien diabetes melitus. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner. Uji statistik yang akan digunakan adalah Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat stres sedang 69,2%, memiliki kualitas tidur buruk 55,4% dan dengan kadar gula darah tinggi 63,1%, terdapat hubungan antara tingkat stres dengan kadar gula darah dengan pvalue 0,047, ada hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan kadar gula darah dengan p-value 0,05.   Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by an increase in blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia). One trigger factor that has the potential to influence blood sugar levels is stress. Stress triggers the body's biochemical reactions through neural and neuroendocrine. Stress is also one of the factors that influence sleep. Irregular sleep patterns become one of the triggers for changes in blood sugar levels. Good quality sleep can help stabilize blood sugar levels. The purpose of this study: to determine the relationship between the stress level of the cross sect approach and the quality of sleep with the blood sugar levels of diabetes mellitus clients in Palembang Muhammadiyah Hospital. Research Methods: This uses an analytical descriptive design that is carried outwith a cross sectional approach. Study sample: diabetes mellitus clients, sampling techniques by accidental sampling, the number of respondents was 65 diabetes mellitus clients. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire. The statistical test that will be used is Chi Square. The results showed that most respondents had moderate stress levels of 69.2%, had poor sleep quality of 55.4% and with high blood sugar levels 63.1%, there was a relationship between stress levels and blood sugar levels with a p-value of 0.047, there is a relationship between sleep quality with blood sugar levels with a p-value of 0.05.

               Diabetes Mellitus is a disorder of metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats resulting from an imbalance between the availability of insulin and insulin requirements. se of this study was to determine the relationship of diet adherence and physical activity with controlling blood sugar levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus outpatient at the Manado Radiation Hospital. This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all Diabetes Mellitus Type II outpatients in the hospital. Pancaran Kasih Manado The number and sample are 39 people and the sample is determined by purposive sampling. The test results between the relationship of diet adherence with blood sugar levels obtained a p-value of 0.670, meaning that there was no significant relationship between the variables of diet compliance with blood sugar levels. While physical activity with blood sugar levels get a p-value of 0.499, it means there is no significant relationship between physical activity variables with blood sugar levels.                The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant relationship between adherence to diet, physical activity with controlling blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the hospital Radiation of Love Manado.

In 2012 diabetes mellitus is the cause of death from 1,5 million (WHO,2016). The population of diabetes mellitus (DM) in indonesia is currently ranked fifth in tyhe world. In 2013 people with diabetes mellitus in the homeland reaches 8.554.155 people. The continuous increase in the number of patients with diabetes mellitus and the magnitudeof the cost of treatment due to complications, then the best effort is prevention. Exercise of physical exercise is an early attempt to prevent, control, and overcome diabetes. Type of Quasi Experimenta research with Non Randomited Pretest and Posttest Control Group Design methods. Research location in RS Dr. H. Marzoeki Mahdi dated 26 April 2017 number of sample counted 32 respondents with diabetes mellitus with sample Purposive Sampling. Tools used in date collection are Accu-Chek Akctive and observation sheet. Technique of date analysis is bivariate analysis with SPSSM program. The influence of diabetes mellitus gymnastics on changes in blood sugar levels in Dr. H. Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital in 2017. The ntervention group of blood sugas levels before gymnastics and after gymnastics decreased 24,69 mg/dL, in the control group of blood sugar levels on the first day and the fourth day increased 10,56 mg/dL. Statistical test results using Independent T Test obtained P value = 0,000 which means P value <0,05 means the influence of diabetes gymnastics to changes in blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus in Dr. H.
