Purpose. Research and substantiating the expediency of cement mix formulations of grout slurries with different Defecate additive content and their effective use when cementing the reservoirs prone to absorption of the cement slurry, as well as to prevent behind-the-casing flows and for cementing operations in the zone of abnormal pressures (hydraulic seam fracturing). Methods. Analytical and experimental studies of the physical-chemical grout slurry properties are used: determining the influence of the Defecate additive content on the cement mixture technological properties; study of a change in the grout slurry rheological characteristics at various temperature conditions; testing the formulation of grout slurry with different rates of strength development; substantiating the economic efficiency of using the grout mixtures with the Defecate additive. Findings. It has been revealed that the cement mixture fluidity increases by 10-20% with the addition of a Defecate in the proportion of 5-20%. With a further increase in the Defecate content, the stone strength deteriorates, and with a decrease, the grout slurry concentration increases. It has been found that when Defecate is added to the cement mixture in a proportion of 20%, the pumpability of the cement slurry doubles, that is, from 1.5 to 3 hours. The economic efficiency has been proved of using these mixtures during insulating activities in the well No. 122 of the Kulychykhynske NHKR (oil and gas condensate field). The improved formulations of grout slurry with the addition of a Defecate are recommended to be used during repair-insulation works for delimitation of producing reservoirs prone to absorption, behind-the-casing flows and hydraulic fracturing. Originality.New dependences have been determined of the technological and rheological characteristics of grout slurries on the content of the Defecate additive, which makes it possible to set its optimal proportion. Practical implications. The use of grout mixture based on the Defecate will expand the raw material base for obtaining lightweight grout slurries. The properties of such a solution make it possible to use a grout mixture for cementing wells in the zone of abnormal pressures, while reducing the costs for the process of reservoir delimitation. Keywords: well, behind-the-casing flows, producing reservoir, grout slurry, Defecate

Abstract Well construction in the Volga-Ural Region faces different sorts of complications, the most common ones being the loss of drilling fluids and rockslides. Such complications may cause considerable financial losses due to non-productive time (NPT) and longer well construction periods. Moreover, there are complications, which might occur both during well construction and during its exploitation. The commonest complications are sustained casing pressure (SCP) and annular flow. The complications, which occur when operating a well, also have a negative effect on the economic efficiency of well operation and call for additional actions, for example, repair and insulation works, which require well shutdown and killing, though a desired outcome still cannot be guaranteed; moreover, it is possible that several different operations may have to be carried out. In addition, the occurrence of SCP during well life is one of the most crucial problems that may cause well abandonment due to high risks posed by its operation. It is known that the main reasons for SCP are as follows: Channels in cement stone Casing leaks Leaks in wellhead connections To resolve the problem of cement stone channeling, several measures were taken, such as revising cement slurry designs, cutting time for setting strings on slips, applying two-stage cementing, etc. These measures were not successful, besides, they caused additional expenses for extra equipment (for example, a cementer). In order to reduce the risk of cement stone channeling, a cementing method is required that will allow to apply excess pressure on cement slurry during the period of transition and early strength development. To achieve this goal, a well-known method of controlled pressure cementing may be applied. Its main drawback, however, is that it requires much extra equipment, thus increasing operation expenses. In addition, the abovementioned method allows affecting the cement stone only during the operation process and / or during the waiting on cement (WOC) time. Upon receiving the results of the implemented measures and considering the existing technologies and evaluating the economic efficiency, the need was flagged for developing a combined cementing method. The goal of this method is to modify the production string cementing method with a view to applying excess pressure on cement stone during strength development and throughout the well lifecycle. The introduction of this lining method does not lead to an increase in well construction costs and considerably reduces the risks of losing a well from the production well stock.

The paper considers the current state of the mineral raw material base and the construction material market of the Rostov Region. The effect of various factors on the strain-stress behavior of local limestones has been investigated. The scientific and technical literary sources devoted to the processes of rock failure under various loads have been analyzed. The experimental studies have shown that the tested samples of limestone with a high content of cuboidal grains have characteristics comparable to those of the crushed granite stone. It has been concluded that the use of the Rostov Region limestones in the construction industry is competitive and feasible, provided the proper implementation of the engineering measures proposed in their production.

Currently, under the conditions of increasing depletion of hydrocarbon reserves in Russia, it is necessary to consider the resource potential of poorly-researched oil and gas objects as a factor for ensuring the sustainable development of the oil and gas complex, in the context of the concept formation of rational subsoil utilization and a circular economy. The methodology of this study is based on a clear sequence of geological and economic studies of poorly-researched oil and gas objects, including four stages, such as analysis of the raw material base, assessment of the raw material potential, determination of technological development parameters, and economic evaluation. The methods of the probabilistic estimation of oil resources of the forecasted objects with regard to geological risk are outlined. Software packages “EVA—Risk Analysis” and “EVA—Economic Evaluation of Oil and Gas Field Development Projects” were used for estimation. The result of the study is the determination of the geological and economic efficiency of the development of nine hydrocarbon objects with the determination of the order of their further geological exploration, and introduction into industrial development on the example of the poorly-researched region of the Timan-Pechora oil and gas province located in the Arctic zone.

The article presents a study on the justification of the economic feasibility of processing cereals into biogas. Аt the first stage the sown areas and productivity of separate agricultural crops in the investigated enterprises of Brovarsky district, Kyiv region were analyzed. The tendency to increase the yield of agricultural crops in the studied enterprises was revealed. This was seen as evidence that they could potentially be fully self-sufficient in raw materials for the production of gaseous biofuels. At the second stage of the study, the potential volume of the raw material base for biogas production in the studied enterprises was calculated, potential volume of biogas production and economically feasible volume of biogas production for each enterprise. It is proposed to use part of the grown grain for bioenergy production, and this part should be 10-15% of the gross harvest of grain enterprises in order to prevent the food crisis in the country. At the third stage of the study to determine the economic efficiency of biogas production from wheat and corn, investment costs were calculated, necessary for the implementation of the project to install a biogas plant in the studied enterprises. The authors calculated the investment costs required to implement the project of installing a biogas plant at the studied enterprises. The authors also analyzed the costs of each company for future projects. Finally, the economic efficiency of the proposed project for biogas production in the studied enterprises of Brovary district, Kyiv region is calculated, the economic efficiency of the project in the long run is analyzed with the use of discounted indicators of economic efficiency with a life cycle of 5 years. It was found that the implementation of projects for biogas production may be accompanied by high efficiency, all enterprises will receive profits from the implementation of investment projects for the production of biogas and biofertilizers with the subsequent sale of biogas and the use of biofertilizers for their own needs.

The modern industrial production of the Republic of Belarus is characterized by the absence of its own raw material base and significant dependence on imported energy carriers and material resources supplied at world prices. When working in such conditions, production efficiency can be achieved through all-round economy and creation of modern energyand resource-saving technologies. However implementation of such technologies, for example, laser cutting and welding, cladding, flame spraying, painting, etc. directly depends on quality of cleaning metal surfaces from corrosion. Theoretical and experimental studies conducted at the Department of Shipbuilding and Hydraulics of the Belarusian National Technical University have shown that it is very economical to remove corrosion products from metal surfaces using new technology of reverse jet cleaning. The reverse jet cleaning technology is based on a physical principle which presupposes that a jet of working fluid (pulp based on river sand or bentonite clay) rotates 180º when it hits the surface to be cleaned and it leads to an increase in jet impact on the surface to be cleaned by 1.5–2 times due to occurrence of a reactive component. In order to ensure a marked jet reversal an original case design has been developed which is characterized by a patent novelty. One of the main elements in this design is a confuser-shaped stream-forming device. Theoretical investigations on pressure losses of working fluid in a confuser channel which are based on the study of functional at the extremum have made it possible to obtain a dependence for calculation of an optimal cone angle at a turbulent mode of motion within the range of Reynolds numbers 4000 < Re < 3 ×106 while taking into account an influence of working fluid density, its dynamic or kinematic viscosity, average velocity movement of working fluid, confuser radii.

In the recent years, due to the introduction of new Technical Regulations in the Oil and Gas Industry in 2008, high technical and environmental performance values were set to be met by production volume and by the quality of hydrocarbons and a variety of oil products coming from the fields to factory processing and trade parks. The presence of a powerful raw material base, the shortage of petroleum products and the development of market relations create objective conditions for increased use of a variety of natural hydrocarbons, for improved technological schemes of oil preparation and oil processing on the oil fields and for modernizing the equipment used. On small and remote oil fields, which for economic reasons cannot be linked by transport pipelines, a complex system of preparation of liquid hydrocarbons is used with the ultimate goal of obtaining some refined products such as gasoline, diesel fuel and furnace oil.

At the present stage, the development of the oil and gas industry in the Russian Federation is impossible without replenishing the raw material base, so the urgent task is to conduct investigations, prospecting and evaluation of oil and gas bearing capacity prospects in undiscovered areas. The purpose of the investigations is to analyze facies and thicknesses, choose the methodology of prospecting and exploration in reservoirs, make a comprehensive assessment of oil and gas bearing capacity prospects based on experimental investigations and construct a map of oil and gas bearing capacity prospects of the studied sediment structure. The methodology of the conducted investigations was to identify and trace zones of increased fracturing by qualitative interpretation of time seismic sections. Methods for qualitative interpretation of time seismic sections, the model of physical, chemical and geochemical criteria developed by I.A.Burlakov, gas and geochemical surveying and correlation analysis were used in the investigations. A number of prospecting criteria, established based on the analysis of reference seismic materials on well-studied areas in comparison with the results of well tests, were also used. Structural plan for forecast prospects of oil and gas bearing capacity in the studied area was made; zonal and local objects with prospects for oil and gas were identified. Graphical plotting of Eh and pH concentrations distribution and various gas and geochemical indicators allowed identifying zones of possible oil and gas accumulations and starting their detailed survey. Processing of gas and geochemical materials by means of software allowed efficient assessment of prospects for oil and gas bearing capacity of the investigated objects.

Within the West Siberian petroleum basin, more than 60 oil and gas fields have been discovered in the pre-Jurassic basement formations. Reserves of these fields are referred to hard-to-recover ones due to both the complexity of the geological structure and the need to apply non-standard approaches at all stages of their search, exploration and development. Development of the Pre-Jurassic complex is one of the main directions in replenishing the raw material base of hydrocarbons in West Siberia, where production from traditional fields is steadily declining. The article summarizes the data on geological features and petroleum potential of the Pre-Jurassic complex of the West Siberian basin. Based on the analysis of results of exploration and development of accumulations, proposals on various geological and technological parameters are formulated when performing the geological and economic appraisal of promising targets with similar predicted characteristics.
