Extraordinary School Teachers are required to have professionalism in teaching. Teacher professionalism shows the commitment of teachers to improve their professional abilities and develop their skills in carrying out their duties and functions as teachers. This study aims to determine the effect of education, training and teaching experience on teacher professionalism of special elementary school teachers in Kudus Regency. This research is an explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 63 SDLB teachers in Kudus Regency. The sampling technique was carried out by total sampling. The data collection method used a questionnaire. Data analysis using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that education partially had a positive and significant effect on the professionalism of SDLB teachers in Kudus Regency. Teaching experience partially has a positive and significant effect on the professionalism of SDLB teachers in Kudus Regency. Education and teaching experience together have a positive and significant effect on the professionalism of SDLB teachers in Kudus Regency. The result of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.645 shows that the influence of education, training and teaching experience on teacher professionalism is 64.5%. Teaching experience has the greatest influence on teacher professionalism, amounting to 55.4%.

Objetivos: Verificar os conhecimentos e ações desenvolvidas por professores que atuam com alunos do ensino fundamental em relação aos sinais e sintomas indicativos de dificuldades visuais, analisando suas condutas diante do problema. Materiais e métodos: Realizou-se levantamento entre professores da primeira série do ensino fundamental de escolas públicas, estaduais e municipais, do município de Itajubá - MG, no ano letivo de 2013. Foi utilizado questionário autoaplicável como instrumento de coleta de dados. Resultados e discussão: Todos os 21 professores de escolas públicas responderam o questionário. A média de idade foi de 40,9 anos e a média de magistério, de 20,3 anos. Quanto à formação profissional, a maioria não apresenta capacitação na área (90,5%). Em relação aos sinais e sintomas de dificuldade visual, os mais indicados foram dificuldade para ler na lousa (100%), dor de cabeça (95,2%), franzir a testa (90,5%) e aproximação exagerada de objetos e livros (90,5%). Dentre os professores, 80,9% indicaram ter tido algum aluno com dificuldade visual no último ano, enquanto 19,1% não suspeitaram. Entre os professores que indicaram ter algum aluno com dificuldade visual, 88,2% tiveram como conduta orientar os pais, 70,6% orientou procurar um oftalmologista, 58,8% orientaram a direção e somente 23,5%, orientaram o aluno. Conclusão: Apesar dos professores apresentarem algum conhecimento sobre a saúde ocular, estes ainda são insuficientes e suas ações são incompletas.  Palavras-chave: Promoção de saúde; acuidade visual; saúde escolar.    ABSTRACT Objectives: The study aims to determine the knowledge and actions developed by teachers working with elementary students for signs and symptoms which may show visual difficulties, analyzing the behaviors of teachers on the issue. Methods: We conducted a survey among first grade teachers of public state and city schools, in the city of Itajubá - MG, in the year of 2013. Self-administered questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection. Results and discussion: All the 21 public school teachers answered the questionnaire. The average age of teachers was 40.9, whereas the average was teaching experience was 20.3 years. As for training the majority has no training in the area (90.5%). Regarding the signs and symptoms of visual impairment, the nominees were: more difficulty reading the blackboard (100%), headache (95.2%), frown (90.5%) and too close to objects and books (90.5%). Among the teachers 80.9% of them indicated that they had some students with visual impairment last year, while 19.1% did not suspect. The conduct showed that among teachers who reported having a student with visual impairment, 88.2% oriented parents, 70.6% seek guidance ophthalmologist, 58.8% oriented direction and only 23.5% have guided the student. Conclusion: Although teachers present some knowledge about eye health, it is still insufficient and their actions are incomplete.  Keywords: Promoting health, visual accuracy, school health.

This study determined the influence of the principal's leadership style and work motivation on the performance of high school teachers. Data in this study were collected through distributing the questionnaires to respondents. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis through t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. Population in this study was all high school teachers in Air Kumbang subdistrict of Banyuasin district totaling 85 people. The sampling technique used was saturation. The research sample was 85 high school teachers. The results showed 1) there was a positive and significant effect of leadership style on teachers’ performance; 2) there was a positive and significant influence of work motivation on teachers’ performance; 3) there was a significant influence simultaneously of leadership style and work motivation on the performance of high school teachers in Air Kumbang sub-district Banyuasin.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan: budaya sekolah dengan kinerja guru; komunikasi dengan kinerja guru; budaya sekolah dengan komitmen; komunikasi dengan komitmen, komitmen dengan kinerja guru; budaya sekolah dengan kinerja melalui komitmen; komunikasi dengan kinerja guru melalui komitmen. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 250 orang guru di 100 Sekolah yang dipilih secara stratified proporsional random sampling dari populasi sebesar 2.276 orang guru yang tersebar di 274 SD Negeri di Kota Banjarmasin. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriftip dan analisi jalur. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa budaya sekolah memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja, komunikasi memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja, budaya sekolah memiliki hubungan dengan komitmen, komunikasi memiliki hubungan dengan komitmen, komitmen memiliki hubungan dengan kinerja guru, komitmen merupakan perantara hubugan budaya sekolah dengan kinerja guru dan hubungan komunikasi dengan kinerja guru. Kata Kunci: budaya sekolah, komunikasi, komitmen, kinerja THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SCHOOL CULTURE, COMMUNICATION, AND COMMITMENT AND THE STATE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ PERFORMANCE Abstract: This study was aimed to describe the relationship between: school culture and tea- chers’ performance; communication and teachers’ commitment; school culture and commitment; communication and commitment; commitment and teachers’ performance; school culture and performance through commitment; communication and teachers’ performance through commitment. The sample consisting of 250 teachers from 100 schools was selected using the stratified proportional random sampling technique from a population of 2,276 teachers teaching in 274 state elementary schools in Banjarmasin Municipality. The data were collected using an instrument which had been validated and which was reliable. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis and the path analysis. The findings showed that there was relationship between: school culture and teachers’ performance, communication and performance, school culture and commitment, communication and commitment, commitment and teachers’ performance. Commitment became an intervening variable between school culture and teachers’ performance and between communication and teachers’ performance. The purpose of this study was to see the traditional cublak-cublak suweng game from D.I Yogyakarta, and the order for the character of responsibility for students. Knowing the method of implementing the cublak-cublek suweng game that can shape the character of responsibility for students. This research method is research research. The research subjects were research articles and web that discussed the cublak-cublak suweng game that could be accounted for for its authenticity and correctness. The scope of this research includes elementary school teachers, elementary school children, and the surrounding community who are familiar with this game, as well as the role of the government in preserving the cublak-cublak suweng game and applying it to elementary schools at this time.This research was conducted to explain whether the cublak-cublak suweng game in the present era can give pleasure after being played and the impact that occurs after being played 1) Introduction to what cublak-cublak suweng is and how to play it. 2) Implementation of the cublak-cublek suweng model that can develop the character of responsibility for students, 3) The effectiveness of the cublak-cublak suweng game in shaping the character of responsibility for students. 4) what are the effects if you continue to drink it again and again.

This article aims to determine the relationship intrapreneurial leadership, school culture and innovation performance of elementary school teachers in East Jakarta. This research uses survey method with correlation approach. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between intrapreneurial leadership and school culture on teacher innovation performance of elementary school in East Jakarta where the result of double correlation coefficient test (Ry.12) = 0,885 and F count (F Change) = 266,395, and p -value = 0,000 <0.05, and While the coefficient of determination (R square) = 0,784, which means that the intrapreneurial leadership (X1) and school culture (X2) together influence 78,4% to the performance of innovation (Y). The purpose of this article is to find out the perceptions of primary school teachers on the use of Swishmax applications for the development of instructional media. Teachers' perceptions of the use of Swishmax applications for the development of instructional media are closely related to student learning achievement. Learning media generated with Swishmax applications that match the students' wishes will keep them motivated in learning. This article analyzes the data done descriptively. The data obtained in this article comes from questionnaire data and unstructured interview data. The result of this article is the perception of Swishmax's use for the development of instructional media by elementary school teachers in positive category. This research is aimed at determining the effect of implementing communicative approach in language teaching on the students’ learning outcomes. The research was conducted in Blitar, East Java, Indonesia. The research employed descriptive correlation design and 40 elementary school teachers were selected as samples by random sampling technique. Data collection technique used questionnaires and documentation, and the analysis technique employed descriptive statistics and Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results indicated that implementing communicative approach in the language teaching did not significantly influence the students’ learning outcomes in the national examination. If it was seen from the items of activities which had been performed in the learning process through communicative approach, there were some items that have significant influence towards students’ learning outcomes in social science.

Teacher performance is teacher perception on teacher work performance related to work quality, responsibility, honesty, cooperation and initiative. This study was conducted to obtain empirical evidence of the effect of good work on the performance of elementary school teachers in central Jakarta. This research uses quantitative approach. A sample of 79 certified teachers teaching elementary school in central Jakarta using multiphase sampling technique. How to use data by using questionnaire media for data retrieval. Respondents of this study are teachers of primary school certified in central Jakarta. The variable used is workplace well-being as independent variable, teacher performance as dependent variable. To determine the effect of workplace well-being, based on multiple regression analysis at 33.1% significant level it can be concluded whether the workplace well-being is significant enough to the performance of elementary school teachers.

Population in this study is 32 people. The role of teacher is proficient, be composed of academic, didactic and social roles. Academic roles cover teaching, instructing and supervisory characters and pedagogical characters include instructional, valuation and simplifying roles. The study aimed to identify the teaching competency of secondary school teachers. The investigator adopted survey method to study the teaching competency between teachers from selected government, private and aided school. For this study a sample of 300 school teachers from eight various schools which are situated in Palakkad district selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings revealed that there is no significant difference towards teaching competency among selected secondary school teachers with respect to personal variables like Gender, Marital Status, Educational Qualification, Type of Management and Teaching experience. The findings of the study help to discover the teaching competency of secondary school teachers in the society.
