Introduction: Traditional Japanese (Kampo) medicines are often prescribed for women in Japan before, during, and after pregnancy. However, detailed information on the actual frequency of use and safety of Kampo preparations during pregnancy is lacking.Aim: To investigate the frequency of prescription of Kampo medicines for pregnant women in Japan. Methods: Information on Kampo medicines prescribed during outpatient care and hospitalization of selected mothers from January 2005 to August 2016 were extracted from the Japan Medical Data Center (Tokyo, Japan), which is a large claims database. Results: Of the 33,941 subscribers identified from the database, 16,294 (48%) received at least one prescription of a Kampo medicine. Kakkonto was the formula most prescribed during the study period, followed by shoseiryuto and tokishakuyakusan. In the 180 days before pregnancy, the most prescribed medicine was tokishakuyakusan, followed by kakkonto and shoseiryuto. Shoseiryuto, tokishakuyakusan, and kakkonnto were the formulae most prescribed during pregnancy. The most prescribed medicines during the 180 days postpartum were kakkonto, shoseiryuto, and saireito. Conclusions: Information in the Japanese insurance system shows that Kampo medicines are often prescribed during pregnancy. Most of these prescriptions are generally used for the treatment of common cold. Tokishakuyakusan in particular is usually used in the treatment of various symptoms of pregnancy. Further research is needed to clarify the relationship between the use of Kampo medicines during pregnancy and adverse events in infants in Japan.

Adolescence is characterized by premature experimentation with new experiences and sensations. These experiences sometimes include drugs, which even though legal and socially accepted, begin to have noticeable negative consequences to the adolescent’s development. In recent years, a decrease in use of tobacco by Spanish adolescents has been observed, but not in alcohol. One of the causes of initiation in drug use is impulsive personality or behavior. Thus the purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between impulsiveness and frequency of use of alcohol and tobacco in 822 students aged 13 to 18 years of age. The State Impulsivity Scale (SIS) and an ad hoc questionnaire on demographic characteristics and use of alcohol and tobacco were used for this. The results showed that students who stated they were users scored significantly higher on impulsivity. Thus detailed analysis of the profile of individuals with this risk factor could favor more adequate intervention program design.

Background:Treat to target is a goal in pregnant women with spondyloarthristis. There is increasing evidence on safe use with TNF inhibitors during pregnancy (1). Adjusted use of TNF inhibitors preconception and throughout pregnancy may stabilize disease activity and prevent flares (2). Low disease activity is also beneficial for the fetus. Objectives:To study the use of TNF-inhibitors among women with spondyloarthritis in Norway before, during and after pregnancy. Methods:RevNatus is a Norwegian, nationwide quality register that monitors treatment of inflammatory rheumatic diseases before, during and after pregnancy. Data from RevNatus in the period October 2017 to October 2019 were used to map the use of all types of TNF inhibitors among 208 women with spondyloarthitis, fulfilling the ASAS criteria. The use of medication was reported at the time of visit in outpatient clinic. The frequency of use of TNF inhibitors is registered at seven timepoints from pre-pregnancy to twelve months after delivery. Results:The use of TNF-inhibitors was reported at each visit for all the women with spondyloarthritis. Most women are not using TNF inhibitors before and beyond conception. Most of the women continuing TNF inhibitors beyond conception, used certolizumab, etanercept, or adalimumab. Infliximab or golimumab were not used in pregnancy (tabell 2).Table 2:SPACertoli-zumabEtaner-ceptAdali-mumabGolim-umabInflik-simabNo TNF -inhibitorBefore Pregnancyn=13910% (14)8% (11)6% (9)6% (9)69% (96)1.trimestern=1027% (7)7% (7)2 % (2)84% (86)2.trimestern=1047% (7)6% (6)1% (1)87% (90)3. trimestern=953% (3)2% (2)1% (1)94% (89)6 weeks post partumn=10015% (15)10% (10)8% (8)3% (3)64% (64)6 months post partumn=8219% (16)12% (10)7% (6)2% (2)2% (2)55% (46)12 months post partumn=7422% (16)15% (11)7% (5)4% (3)5% (4)47% (35)Conclusion:A majority of the women with spondyloarthritis were not treated with TNF inhibitors before or during pregnancy. Postpartum hemorrhage is bleeding that occurs after the birth of the baby, placenta, and 2 hours after the placenta is born. One of the causes is anemia. Research in 2015, 60% of 100 mothers giving birth at RSIA Kirana Taman Sidoarjo experienced postpartum hemorrhage. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship of anemia in pregnancy with the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in labor mothers. The study design used an analytical survey with a retrospective method. The population of 206 maternity mothers was taken with simple random sampling technique as many as 136 samples in August 2017. Data were analyzed by Chi Square statistical test with 0.05. The results showed that postpartum hemorrhage was more experienced by mothers with anemia (66.7%) than  those without anemia (26.2%). While those who did not experience postpartum hemorrhage were more experienced by mothers who were not anemic (73.8%) than those who were anemic (33.3%). Chi square test results  (p=0.000  <0.05),  which means there is a relationship  of anemia in pregnancy with the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in labor mothers. Conclusions of the study were the relationship of anemia in pregnancy with the  incidence  of postpartum hemorrhage in labor mothers. It is expected that midwives and doctors conduct early detection of anemia so that appropriate care can be carried out.

Pregnant women who experience anemia and untreated until the end of pregnancy will have an effect at the time of delivery, so that it can cause post partum hemorrhage which results in death in the mother. This study aims to analyze the relationship between anemia and the incidence of post partum hemorrhage in Puskesmas Lenteng, Lenteng District, Sumenep Regency. The study design was analytic with a retrospective approach, the total population was 35 mothers, the total sample was 29 mothers, the sampling technique used random sampling. The independent variable is anemia, the dependent variable is the incidence of post partum hemorrhage. Collecting data using a checklist, data analysis using the chi square statistical test, the value of a = 0.05. The results showed that of the 29 women who gave birth, most of them experienced anemia (HB level <11 g%) during pregnancy, as many as 19 mothers gave birth (65.5%), and of the 29 mothers gave birth, most of them experienced post partum hemorrhage as much as 17 mothers gave birth (59%). The result of statistical tests using chi square with a value of a = 0.05, the resulting value (ρ) = 0.000, so that the value (ρ) <a (0.000 <0.05), which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, i.e. the relationship between anemia and the incidence of post partum hemorrhage at the Lenteng Public Health Center, Lenteng District, Sumenep Regency in 2020 In order to reduce the incidence of post partum hemorrhage, it is hoped that the mother in labor can prevent anemia during pregnancy, namely by consuming foods that contain lots of protein such as meat, liver, eggs, vegetables, folic acid (Vitamin C) and consumption of Fe tablets regularly and how to drink properly and according to conditions / needs.
