A study was carried out in the Kartuzy lake complex, which has been a receiver of raw domestic sewage since the 1950s. In 2018, the city’s sewage system of Kartuzy was modernized. An analysis of the water quality prior to the modernization of the sewage system revealed that the total phosphorus (TP) load that was introduced to the individual lakes from external sources substantially exceeded the dangerous load concentration (defined by Vollenweider) that causes accelerated eutrophication. The annual TP load introduced to the analyzed lakes in 2017 exceeded the critical load by 200% (Mielenko) to 1000% (Klasztorne Duże). Protective measures reduced the external loading of nutrients. In the case of Mielenko Lake, a 37% decrease in the external TP load was noted, and also a 32% decrease in the external TP load in Karczemne Lake, a 66% decrease in Klasztorne Małe Lake and a 54% decrease in Klasztorne Duże Lake was noted. The protective measures resulted in a slight decrease in the concentrations of phosphorus and nitrogen in the water. However, these changes did not improve the environmental conditions in the lakes. In a situation where the internal fertilization process in the lakes has started, the improvement of water quality will only be possible through restoration efforts with methods adjusted to the individual characteristics of each lake.

After the practice for many decades had been to introduce waste waters into the nearest receiving bodies, i.e. Wien River, Donaukanal, and Danube, a multitude of intercepting sewers and a central treatment plant were built from 1969 to 1980. Subsumed under the working title “WABAS 80 -- Wiener Abwasserbeseitigungssysteme 1980”, these facilities guaranteed that all effluent produced in Vienna was brought to the central treatment plant for purification. Since 1986 a programme has been in effect to expand the existing sewage system and improve obsolete sewers, the aim being to preserve groundwater quality. Providing also for the construction of relief interceptors along the Donaukanal and the Wien River as well as the enlargement of the central treatment plant, the programme was designed not only to preserve but also to improve water quality in the Donaukanal and the Danube itself. The City has set apart AS 12 000 million for this project, which is to be completed by 2000.

Abstract Objectives Hypertension is a prevalent chronic disease globally. A multifaceted combination of risk factors is associated with hypertension. Scientific literature has shown the association among individual and environmental factors with hypertension, however, a comprehensive database including demographic, environmental, individual attributes and nutritional status has been rarely studied. Moreover, an integrated spatial-epidemiological approach has been scarcely researched. Therefore, this study aims to provide and describe a geodatabase including individual-based and socio-environmental data related to people living in the city of Mashhad, Iran in 2018. Data description The database has been extracted from the PERSIAN Organizational Cohort study in Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. The data note includes three shapefiles and a help file. The shapefile format is a digital vector storage format for storing geometric location and associated attribute information. The first shapefile includes the data of population, air pollutants and amount of available green space for each census block of the city. The second shapefile consists of aggregated blood pressure data to the census blocks of the city. The third shapefile comprises the individual characteristics data (i.e., demographic, clinical, and lifestyle). Finally, the fourth file is a guide to the previous data files for users.

The results of comparative study of the characteristics of volitional regulation among representatives of Kabardians, Komi, Russians and Tuvans are presented. A total of 100 representatives of peoples were surveyed: Kabandis living in the city of Nalchik; Komi living in Syktyvkar; Russians living in Moscow; Tuvans living in Kyzyl. To diagnose the individual characteristics of volitional regulation of the respondents, the following methods were used: “Action-control scale” by Yu. Kuhl, “Questionnaire for revealing the expression of self-control in the emotional sphere, activity and behavior”, self-appraisals of volitional qualities. It is revealed that the compared groups differ significantly in all measured indicators: the highest values are observed in the group of Tuvans, followed by Kabardians, Komi, the lowest values are observed in the group of Russians. The obtained results confirm the hypothesis about the presence of differences in the indices of volitional regulation among representatives of the compared ethnic groups.

The article concerns the monitoring of selected sources (monitored a total of 10 springs, presented the results of 5 springs) administered by the Forests of the city of Brno in the northern district of Brno-county, describing their current state, including the evaluation of selected water quality parameters. The basis of the study was to measure basic water quality parameters (water temperature, pH, oxygen and measuring the rate of flow of water in springs) and sampling for laboratory analysis. The values obtained were tabulated and graphically evaluated and compared with values in accordance with Decree no. 252/2004 Coll., which lay down the hygienic requirements for drinking water. Based on the measured values charts and graphs were compiled, and the water quality of the individual strands were assessed. The overall condition of wells and their surroundings is described in detail and assessed.

The subject of the research is the process of making managerial decisions for innovative IT projects investing. The paper focuses on the new approach to decision making on investing innovative IT projects using expert survey in a fuzzy reasoning system. As input information, expert estimates of projects have been aggregated into six indicators having a linguistic description of the individual characteristics of the project type "high", "medium", and "low". The task of decision making investing has been formalized and the term-set of the output variable Des has been defined: to invest 50-75% of the project cost; to invest 20-50% of the project cost; to invest 10-20% of the project cost; to send the project for revision; to turn down investing project. The fuzzy product model of making investment management decisions has been developed; it adequately describes the process of investment management. The expediency of using constructed production model on a practical example is shown.

The paper analyzes the factors that affect the amount of effort required to create a mobile application and its cost. It is established that the main factors of influence are the design of the application, its functionality, the type of mobile platform, the availability and level of testing and support, as well as the individual characteristics of the developer. Based on the analysis of information sources, the main methods and approaches to forecasting the cost of software products are identified, which include the COCOMO model, Price-to-win method, expert evaluation, algorithmic methods and the method of analogies. It is proposed to consider the method of analogies as a tool that allows you to make predictions about the cost of resources required for the successful implementation of IT projects based on the experience of similar projects. It is proved that the advantages of this method are the simplicity of its implementation and the clarity of the results obtained, which follows from the practical orientation of this tool. Among the limitations of the method of analogy is the mandatory need for reliable data relating to similar projects, as well as the difficulty of taking into account unspecified indicators. Taking into account the mentioned limitations of the method of analogies and on the basis of the analysis of scientific sources the possible directions of its optimization are determined. Thus, among the ways to improve the effectiveness of this method are those aimed at optimizing the project selection process, the data for which are used as a basis for forecasting. Attempts to improve the method of analogies by including parameters that were previously ignored by this technique seem promising. This in turn can lead to an expansion of the scope of the method of analogies and increase the accuracy of forecasts. As prospects for further research, the need to continue research in the field of optimization of the method of analogies with the subsequent practical verification of theoretical positions on the data of real projects.

The low level of water in rivers in Iraq leads to poor water quality, on that basis; we need to assess Iraq's water resources for uses of irrigation and drinking water. This study present a model accounts for ground water quality by using a water quality index (WQI) for the region defined between the city of Kut and the city of Badra in Wasit province. this study relies on a system of wells set up along the path through the Badra –Kut  and around it  up to 78 wells. The study showed poor quality of ground water in the region of study and it is unsuitability for irrigation and drinking water, as well as provided a solution to the water accumulated in the Shuwayja to reduce the bad effect on groundwater by using a system of branch and collection canals  then pumping at the effluent  of Al  Shuwayja in seasons of rainy season ..Water quality index calculated depend on the basis of various physic-chemical parameters as PH, Ec , TDS, TSS, Nacl , SO4 ,Na , and  Mg. The resultant and analytical are present with use of Arch GIS program – geostastical analysis for the water index and water quality parameters
