Purpose: This paper entails a reflection on sustainability and specific tourism contexts (i.e., ecotourism). It focusses mainly on local communities’ determiners in the consumer’s purchase decision process in ecotourism. This research aimed at understanding the determiners in the process of consumer decisions in ecotourism contexts, as well as verifying the growing importance of ecotourism. Methodology: A questionnaire was conducted (with ecotourism specific contexts), in Portugal. Portugal is a tourist destination that has gained notoriety and recognition in recent years. In total, 197 questionnaires were collected, aiming for a deeper understanding of the real social, economic, cultural and environmental impacts resulting from the uncontrolled development of tourism. This study aimed at testing the proposed conceptual model empirically (i.e., the relationship between destination image and post-purchase behaviour). Findings: Sustainability must be looked at as a vital need for society in general, as well as for the tourism sector. Ecotourism is the natural evolution of tourism employing care for the environment, culture and local traditions, while promoting environmental education. Research Limitations: The results obtained are limited, considering the availability of most accommodation units in the ecotourism segment in Portugal (e.g., hotels). As next steps, it is advisable that hotel units come to realise the pertinence of such research as they are the main beneficiaries of these initiatives, being then recommended that they collaborate with the process of completing surveys. Originality/Value: Managers and ecotourists can use the outcomes of this study to gain an in-depth understanding of customer experiences (i.e., sustainability experiences), to develop effective marketing strategies, and to create an operational environment that can maximise customers’ perceived experiential values. Destination image plays a fundamental part in terms of experience and the tourist’s own satisfaction, with a need to improve the degree of affectivity towards the hotel unit.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of simultaneous and partial marketing mix on the purchase decision of prospective consumers of Grand Cempaka Housing.This research uses quantitative methods, and is a survey research from the types of explanatory research whose focus is placed on relational research: studying the relationship of variables. The object of research is the residents of Pasuruan City and the sample in this study is the Prospective Consumer of Grand Cempaka Housing. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis methods.The results of the analysis show that Products, Prices, Places and Promotions simultaneously have a significant effect on the Decision of Purchasing Prospective Consumers of Grand Cempaka Housing. This shows that the marketing mix is one of the marketing strategies that should be considered so that the implementation of the marketing strategy can run successfully because the elements in the marketing mix influence each other. Variables in the marketing mix which include Products, Prices, Places and Promotions partially have a significant effect on the Decision of Purchasing Prospective Consumers of Grand Cempaka Housing. Contemporary art museums are significant actors in the entertainment industry, which is recreated by new forms of leisure time activities every day. Entertainment that is used as an important and effective marketing tool in contemporary art museums is also a significant formative of the new relationship between contemporary art museums and their visitors. Therefore, the aim of this chapter is to explore the relationship between art, entertainment, leisure, and museum marketing with a literature review in order to find answers to questions like, What is the relationship between art and entertainment? and Which marketing techniques are used by contemporary art organizations? In this context, the relationship between leisure, entertainment, and contemporary art museums is explained; afterwards, contemporary art museums' marketing strategies are described in detail as the main scope of the study. Finally, as a case study, Istanbul Modern Art Museum's political-economical environment and marketing strategies are analyzed.

Bali's economy has grown rapidly since a decade ago. This is possible because tourism is growing continuously. However, tourism growth is not optimal because of insufficient promotion and tourism destination identity is unclear.  The growth of Web 2.0 as a platform to share travel information has prompted tourism bodies to pay closer attention to how their destinations are perceived by target markets. Set within the context of the emergence of Web 2.0, a platform designed to enable users to generate and share information on the Internet, this paper evaluates the relationship between destination identity and destination image and adopts the view that a successful destination brand relies on the congruence between destination identity and destination image. The elements of destination identity are composed from the supply side and the elements of destination image are composed from the consumer side. The objective of exploring the alignment between these two perspectives is to propose a model to encourage the alignment of these two perspectives and evaluate the effectiveness of a destination branding strategy.

A crisis is a state of tension that occurs at an unexpected time and significantly affects business continuity. The tourism sector is susceptible to being impacted by its multi-purpose structure—natural disasters, terrorist incidents, epidemics, political tensions, economic fluctuations, etc. By creating a problem, it can cause the accommodation business to lose tourists at any time. Developing new products, shifting to alternative tourism markets, and reducing costs may be options for businesses. However, because every crisis is different, managers must determine the most appropriate strategy for the problem. Effective crisis management is made possible by strategic control. With the application of smart strategic management, crises can be turned into opportunities. With the Covid-19 outbreak, many hotel businesses have had to reconsider their marketing strategies. In this research, a case study was conducted at the four-star Prime Park Hotel in Bandung. This study aims to determine how hotels are affected by the Pandemic and determine what kind of marketing strategies they employ in dealing with this crisis. It has been observed that Hotel Prime Park, whose customer base consists of foreign tourists arriving from the Far East on package tours before the Pandemic, was negatively affected by domestic and international travel restrictions that started with the Pandemic. Hotel management has mostly followed a market share strategy and cost reduction, and customer acquisition.

The covid-19 pandemic has had such a huge impact on various sectors, especially the tourism sector, restrictions imposed in various regions have made tourism continue to decline. This research aimed tto study the relationship between destination image, risk perception, and tourists' decision to visit. The research is focused on tourists who have visited Kampung Coklat Tourism Destinations assample using nonprobability sampling technique. Questionnaires were distributed to 200 respondents directly to tourists. The data analysis technique used Multiple Linear Regression with validity and reliability tests.classical assumptions, and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results showed that the destination image was positively affectedby the decision to visit, and also the perception of risk was positively affected by the decision of tourists to visit.The implications in this research can be used as input for the Management of Kampung Coklat Tourism in developing destination images to increase tourists' decisions to visit.

Surabaya as the capital of East Java Province has a tourism attraction based on mangrove ecosystems namely Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism. Interest to the growth of loyalty to the destination depends on service quality, motivation, and destination image. Service quality as the heart of marketing and one of the concepts of loyalty success determines the sustainability of a tourist destination in the future. In addition, motivation is also considered as the main driver for traveling. However, this depends on destination image in the minds of tourists. The purpose of this study was to analyze the direct and indirect relationship between service quality and motivation towards destination loyalty, which is mediated by destination image. From 276 online and offline questionnaires distributed to local tourists who visited or visited the Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism in the past years, 182 questionnaires were filled in completely. Data analysis used WarpPLS to examine the relationship of influence between variables. The results showed that service quality and motivation had a positive and significant effect on destination loyalty directly or mediated by destination image. Destination loyalty can be effectively increased by encouraging visitor motivation supported by an increase in destination image because the value of the total influence was at the largest of 0.443.

WOM has been acknowledged as the ultimate driver for a success of restaurant business and these studies focus attributes of WOM toward purchase decision. This study focuses on the relationship between attributes of WOM towards purchase decision in Malay Upscale Restaurant. The study analyses service quality, food quality, physical environment quality and price as the focus attributes towards decision making of the Malay upscale post purchase. 300 respondents were used for this studies. A multiple regression analysis was undertaken to analyse the data. The results has shown that physical environment quality bring the most impact on the (WOM).2398-4279 © 2016. The Authors. This research aimed to analyze the relationship of factors that influence consumer behavior in the purchase decision of freshwater fish in Kosambi Traditional Market. The research was conducted in March 2019 to March 2020. The method used in this research was a case study. The sampling technique was used accidental sampling method with 100 respondents. To analyze the behavior of consumers used attitude measurement analysis as measured by a Likert Scale. Correlation of qualitative data is used to analyze the relationship of factors that influence consumer behavior in freshwater fish purchasing decisions. The results showed that four factors that influenced the purchase decision of freshwater fish products had a significant relationship with the correlation coefficient values as follows: Cultural factors of 0.243, Social factors of -0.278, Personal factors of 0.631, and psychological factors of 0.427. Personal factor is the more dominant variable influencing and being considered by consumers in deciding to purchase freshwater fish because the personal factors are defined as psychological characteristics of a person that is different from others that causes relatively consistent and long-lasting responses to the environment.

The case study showcases ‘morethailand.com’ an e-intermediary in the tourism industry. Based out of Thailand, the firm is in the process of finding a niche for itself through innovative online and offline marketing strategies with the constraint of limited resources. The case study attempts to focus on the e-business challenges in the travel and tourism sector especially in a developing country like Thailand. It specifically highlights the clash between the traditional and modern form of intermediaries in the travel and tourism sector and how it is bound to evolve in the future. A comparison between different approaches to search engine marketing offers an interesting perspective to the literature pertaining to on line e-commerce. An economic view on the case is also presented.
