Abstract: This study aims to determine the method of ḥisāb early in the lunar month in the book Tasḥīl al-Mithāl by Uzal Syahruna and assess its advantages and disadvantages compared to the same process in other books. It is undeniable that the dichotomization between the existence of classical ḥisāb books and contemporary ḥisāb books with the beginning to fade in people's belief in the results occurred in Falak Science. Through literature study and interviews, this paper finds that the method of determining the beginning of the lunar month in the book falls into the ḥisāb ḥaqīqī bi taḥqīq category. The theory and calculation system are based on modern astronomical formulas (spherical trigonometry), using calculators and computational programs. The advantage of this book is that it establishes its procedures on current astronomical formulas, the output of ḥisāb is not much different from other ḥaqīqī bi taḥqīq books. Simultaneously, the weakness is that it still uses unlimited astronomical data as a basis. Some have not been corrected, especially for determining irtifā 'al-hilāl and hilāl mar'i corrections.

Preservation of library materials or library collections is an effort made so that library materials can be used by future generations. This paper describes the "Malaysian" binding method used by the Sub Division of Technical Binding Materials of the National Library of Indonesia in preserving the collection of periodicals such as tabloids and newspapers. Apart from that, this paper also describes some of the advantages and disadvantages seen in the use of the "Malaysian" method as well as the early history of using this method in preserving the collection of periodicals in the National Library of Indonesia. This writing aims to make readers, especially library managers, know and gain insight into the "Malaysian" binding method. This writing method is through descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Methods of data collection are carried out through the field research, interviews, and literature study. The results show that the National Library of Indonesia uses this method after studying it from Malaysia in May 1990. From observations it is also known that this method has several advantages, namely the binding result is stronger, the collection is more preserved, the binding can be assembled and has an aesthetic side. Meanwhile, the disadvantages of this binding method are that the process tends to be longer, more expensive, cannot be put on too many shelves because the collection will shift backwards, the pages tend to come off easily if the stitches are not strong enough, and can only be used in binding periodical collections.

Introduction: Fixed dental restorations possess a predefined period of use. Most often they are removed by means of sectioning which renders them unusable. Reasons exist when practitioners shall preserve the restoration, applying conservative approaches for removing. In the literature, apart from the classic destructive technique with sectioning, conservative, semi-conservative and combined techniques for removal are described. The aim of this article is to present a complete classification and description of different approaches to remove permanently and temporarily fixed prosthetic constructions. Materials and methods: A literature study was conducted athe beginning of 2019. Information was gathered using dental textbooks on the topic specified and online scientific databases such as PubMed, ResearchGate, etc. Conclusion Through this article, a conclusion was drawn that a full classification or description of removal techniques for fixed dentures has not been done in the Bulgarian literature so far. It is reported that information for patients about advantages, disadvantages and dangers of removing a permanently cemented restoration is of great importance. Except for the destructive ones, all methods described here may be used when removing temporarily fixated constructions. The selection of the ideal system or a combination depends on the clinical situation. Safest and most atraumatic for underlying structures when removing permanently cemented restorations is the destructive approach. Practitioners must be precisely familiar with the techniques so as to be able to preserve the construction, to avoid any danger connected with the clinical case. According to data gathered, no approach is universally applicable when removing fixed prosthetic restorations.

Abstract Millions of users around the world have registered on Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) offered by hundreds of universities (and other organizations) worldwide. Creating and offering these courses costs thousands of pounds. However, at present, revenue generated by MOOCs is not sufficient to offset these costs. The sustainability of MOOCs is a pressing concern as they incur not only upfront creation costs but also maintenance costs to keep content relevant, as well as on-going facilitation support costs while a course is running and re-running. At present, charging a fee for certification seems to be a popular business model adopted by leading platform providers. In this position paper, the authors explore possible business models for courses, along with their advantages and disadvantages, by conducting a literature study and applying personal insights gained from attending various MOOC discussion fora. Some business models discussed here are: the Freemium model, sponsorships, initiatives and grants, donations, merchandise, the sale of supplementary material, selective advertising, data-sharing, follow-on events, and revenue from referrals. This paper looks at the sustainability of MOOCS as opposed to the sustainability of MOOC platforms, while observing the tight link between them.
