Abstract: This study examines the practice of polygamy in the Kalisat community from the point of view of behavior theory. The two main questions to be answered in this paper are about views the Kalisat community about polygamy and the process of polygamy in the perspective of behavior theory which places the actor's actions as being affected by the stimulus and then it becomes a new stimulus for the continuation of the practice of polygamy. Through behavior theory as a study tool, this study concludes that polygamy in the perception of the Kalisat community is no different from the view of the majority of jurists who say that polygamy is permissible on the condition that there is justice in it, regardless of what justice is demanded, whether in the material or immaterial fields. Another conclusion, the practice of polygamy carried out by the Kalisat community, on the one hand as acknowledged by one of the informants is a trait that has been passed down from generation to generation, on the other hand, it is also closely related to the community environment which has considered polygamy as a normal thing and therefore they Those who do not have polygamy are considered as "husbands who are afraid of their wives".

Abstract: This article departs from the problem of prank actions that often occur unethically in the public sphere. Hadith as arguments containing ethical norms is a relevant reference in addressing this matter. Therefore, this article aims to discuss the prank action from the perspective of the hadith and how the moral ideal of the hadith is implemented in carrying out prank actions. Referring to the hadith about joking and analyzed using Fazlur Rahman's double movement theory, this article sees that the legal status of prank action is situational. Prank actions can be done as long as they prioritize the principle of truth and do not have a negative impact on the surroundings, and vice versa. This is based on the editorial of the hadith which shows the Prophet's prohibition against taking something even though it meant jokes and jokes from the Prophet, which have never been separated from the truth. This hadith was motivated by the context of the Arab society at that time which was dominated by the situation of war and the process of internalizing Islamic teachings so that what the Prophet taught could not be separated from the interests of protection and education. Therefore, the moral ideal lies in an educational, preventive, and protective attitude. These moral ideals are principles that should be implemented in carrying out prank actions so that their actions become legitimate, do not cause negative impacts, and can generate positive responses in the public domain.

Abstract: Outwardly, there are hadith that seem contradictory between one hadith and another. It happened not because of the inconsistency of the Prophet Muhammad in giving his words but because of the method of hadith researchers in understanding them. In resolving these contradictory hadiths, there are several methods used by scholars. This paper aims to determine the methods used by hadith scholars and fiqh scholars in completing these hadiths and to compare the methods they use. This research is a literature review using content analysis as a data analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that hadith and fiqh scholars have the same sequence of methods in resolving contradictory hadith, they are al-jam'u (compromising), nasakh (abrogating), tarjih (confirming), and tawaqquf methods (moratorium). Only does Imam Abu Hanifah has a different order, they are nasakh, tarjih, al-jam'u, and tawaqquf. The comparison of the methods used by the two groups of scholars, both hadith and fiqh scholars agreed to prioritize the al-jam'u method as an attempt not to paralyze one hadith with other hadiths. However, in contrast to Imam Abu Hanifah, who prioritized the nasakh method rather than the al-jam'u method, consequently there were hadiths that were not used.

Abstract: Parenting is the way parents behave, interact and treat their children. This paper aims to examine the family concept and typology of parenting from the perspective of the Qur'an and its comparison with Western parenting styles. This research is a literature review by tracing the verses of the Qur'an related to parenting. The results of this study indicate that the concept of family in the perspective of the Qur'an is based on parents' understanding of family goals. Meanwhile, from a Western perspective, parenting is influenced by external conditions of the family. The typology of parenting in the perspective of the Qur'an is determined from the goal of raising a family, saving the family from hellfire, and maintaining the nature of the child from birth. From these two goals, parenting styles in the Qur'an can be mapped into two, they are caring and ignorant parenting. Meanwhile, the typology of parenting in a Western perspective refers to two dimensions; responsiveness and demandingness resulting in four types of parenting; authoritative/democratic, authoritarian, permissive, and neglectful styles. The aim of Islamic parenting is not only for achieving happiness and family harmony in the world but also in the hereafter. Meanwhile, the aim of Western parenting is only to achieve happiness and family harmony in the world.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the method of ḥisāb early in the lunar month in the book Tasḥīl al-Mithāl by Uzal Syahruna and assess its advantages and disadvantages compared to the same process in other books. It is undeniable that the dichotomization between the existence of classical ḥisāb books and contemporary ḥisāb books with the beginning to fade in people's belief in the results occurred in Falak Science. Through literature study and interviews, this paper finds that the method of determining the beginning of the lunar month in the book falls into the ḥisāb ḥaqīqī bi taḥqīq category. The theory and calculation system are based on modern astronomical formulas (spherical trigonometry), using calculators and computational programs. The advantage of this book is that it establishes its procedures on current astronomical formulas, the output of ḥisāb is not much different from other ḥaqīqī bi taḥqīq books. Simultaneously, the weakness is that it still uses unlimited astronomical data as a basis. Some have not been corrected, especially for determining irtifā 'al-hilāl and hilāl mar'i corrections.
