Abstract: This article departs from the problem of prank actions that often occur unethically in the public sphere. Hadith as arguments containing ethical norms is a relevant reference in addressing this matter. Therefore, this article aims to discuss the prank action from the perspective of the hadith and how the moral ideal of the hadith is implemented in carrying out prank actions. Referring to the hadith about joking and analyzed using Fazlur Rahman's double movement theory, this article sees that the legal status of prank action is situational. Prank actions can be done as long as they prioritize the principle of truth and do not have a negative impact on the surroundings, and vice versa. This is based on the editorial of the hadith which shows the Prophet's prohibition against taking something even though it meant jokes and jokes from the Prophet, which have never been separated from the truth. This hadith was motivated by the context of the Arab society at that time which was dominated by the situation of war and the process of internalizing Islamic teachings so that what the Prophet taught could not be separated from the interests of protection and education. Therefore, the moral ideal lies in an educational, preventive, and protective attitude. These moral ideals are principles that should be implemented in carrying out prank actions so that their actions become legitimate, do not cause negative impacts, and can generate positive responses in the public domain.

Contemporary democracies have emphasized the recognition of religious and cultural diversity through policies of multiculturalism that recognize minority rights. In this regard, the status of Muslim women in a democracy with multiple legal systems, such as India, is representative of these new forms of democratic politics. While the Indian constitution guarantees equality to all citizens in the public sphere, in the private sphere of the family, the state enforces explicitly discriminatory personal laws as a demonstration of its commitment to minority rights, posing serious challenges for Muslim women’s equality. In this context, evaluating the success of legal pluralism through the implementation of Muslim personal law cannot ignore the negative impact of this understanding of legal pluralism on gender equality. Against this backdrop, this chapter examines how notions of secularism, religious freedom, and the protection of minority rights mediate the legal status of Muslim women in India.

Based on extensive qualitative research, this paper focuses on lament ceremonies Eritrean asylum seekers in Israel performed in public parks in 2008–2014.1 Specifically, we expose social and political structures of this diaspora, including mechanisms of survival in a context of harsh living conditions, a fragile legal status and a hostile environment. Following Werbner’s analysis of diasporas as chaordic entities, having no single representation and fostering multiple identities, we show how chaordicness underlies this diaspora’s ability to survive and thrive in Israel, and to embrace the unique Eritrean trans-local nationalism. We highlight how these public religious rituals were transformed into contested sites of identity formation following Israeli struggles against them. Finally, we shed light on the role that such ceremonies play in shaping transnational identities, as well as how disenfranchised communities of asylum seekers aim for visibility and recognition in the public sphere.

This research aimed to investigate the ground comfort assessment at the public open space in tourist area of Pangkajene River banks. The research methods used were the qualitative and quantitative method by filling in questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The samples were chosen using the purposive sampling technique from the users of the park. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis, codification, data reduction, matriculation, cross tabulation, and the evaluation system using Likert scale. The research results indicated that the park was inconvenience with the parkconvenience being 61.97%. The effect of the street vendors had caused either positive or negative impacts on the park- the positive impact was that the park had become the largest culinary center in Pangkep town so that it could attract the tourists to visit the park, while the negative impact was that the park looked less beautiful and less hygiene. After the defeat of the rebellion of 1857–58, and the final loss of the last semblance of political power in the subcontinent, Muslims attempted to analyse the reason for their ‘descent, decay or degradation’ ( tanazzul). Inspired by Sir Saiyid Ahmad Khan’s reformist movement, Urdu prose writers and poets started to create a new kind of literature with the aim to ‘awaken’, revitalise and mobilise the Muslim community. As a means to this end, they evoked images of the glorious Islamic past, but also warned about the negative impact of the schisms within Islam. As perfect examples for the new role of writers and literary texts in the public sphere, I have used the works by Nazir Ahmad, Altaf Husain Hali, Muhammad Iqbal and Nasim Hijazi to demonstrate what rhetorical devices they employed to achieve the desired effects; how they extended the more general concept of compassion ( hamdardī) to denote political solidarity; and how they modified emotion concepts such as honour and shame and passionate love and hatred to define the community and to further the emotional commitment to the ‘imagined community’ and active involvement in political activism.

In the SCL approach, the teacher gives many attentions in involvement, initiative, and student social interaction in classroom.</em><em> </em><em>One of the principle in SCL approach is teacher delivers the lessons in accordance with students’ ability.</em><em> </em><em>By using Fazlur Rahman double movement theory to analyze the Qur’an verses and historical criticism, eidetic criticism, and pratical criticism of Hassan Hanafi to analyze the prophet hadith,</em><em> </em><em>this study aims to reveal the moral ideal of Qur’an and prophet hadith about delivering lesson principle in accordance with students’ ability as well as determining the contextual meaning for life recently.</em><em> </em><em>There are 21 Qur’an verses which contains the basic idea of delivering lesson principle in accordance with students’ ability</em><em> </em><em>and there are 11 Hadiths which contains</em><em> </em><em>delivering lesson principle in accordance with students’ ability.</em><em> </em><em>The verse and hadith show the necessity principles to put human in accordance with his position and necessity to talk with them in accordance with his ability, and completed with practical examples from the Prophet. Dalam pendekatan SCL, guru banyak memberikan perhatian pada keterlibatan, inisiatif, dan interaksi sosial siswa di kelas. Salah satu prinsip yang ada dalam pendekatan SCL adalah guru menyampaikan pelajaran sesuai kemampuan siswa. Dengan menggunakan teori <em>double movement</em> Fazlur Rahman untuk menganalisis ayat Al-Qur’an serta kritik historis, kritik eidetis, dan kritik praksis Hassan Hanafi untuk menganalisis hadis Nabi, tulisan ini bermaksud mengungkap ideal moral ayat Al-Qur’an dan hadis Nabi tentang prinsip penyampaian pelajaran sesuai kemampuan siswa serta menentukan makna kontekstualnya bagi kehidupan saat ini. Ada 21 ayat Al-Qur’an yang mengandung ide dasar prinsip penyampaian pelajaran sesuai kemampuan siswa dan ada 11 hadis yang mengandung prinsip penyampaian pelajaran sesuai kemampuan siswa. Ayat dan hadis tersebut menampilkan prinsip keharusan menempatkan manusia sesuai kedudukannya serta kemestian berbicara dengan mereka sesuai dengan kemampuannya, juga disertai contoh praksis dari Rasulullah saw. Implementasi nilai-nilai edukatif dalam beberapa ayat Al-Qur’an dan hadis Nabi ini mampu mewujudkan pembelajaran yang lebih memberdayakan potensi anak didik serta berpengaruh pada pengembangan kepribadian siswa.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Kata Kunci: </strong><em>Student-Centered Learning, Pembelajaran, Kemampuan Siswa</em>.</p><p> </p>

The Persistence of National Victimhood: Bosniak Post-War Memory Politics of the Srebrenica Mass KillingsThis article reveals the origins of the radicalisation of memory politics in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the year 2010. It shows that the radicalisation in the public sphere of Bosnia and Herzegovina was eventually possible due to the long-term persistence of the nationalist commemorative strategy, rooted in the dialectic mechanism of consolidating and antagonising relevant reference groups, and responsible for structuring the national memories of the last war according to an exclusivist martyrological model. Based on the example of Bosniak post-war memory politics regarding the Srebrenica mass killings, the study describes a more universal political mechanism, one characteristic also of the post-war Bosnian Serb and Bosnian Croat nationalist factions. Trwałość martyrologii narodowej. Boszniacka powojenna polityka pamięci o masowych morderstwach w SrebrenicyArtykuł odsłania źródła radykalizacji polityki pamięci w Bośni i Hercegowinie po 2010 roku. Pokazuje, że radykalizacja ta była możliwa dzięki długotrwałemu utrzymywaniu się w sferze publicznej Bośni i Hercegowiny nacjonalistycznej strategii komemoratywnej, która była odpowiedzialna za strukturyzację narodowej pamięci o ostatniej wojnie według ekskluzywistycznego modelu martyrologicznego oraz zakorzeniona w dialektycznym mechanizmie konsolidacji i antagonizowania odpowiednich grup odniesienia. Na przykładzie powojennej boszniackiej polityki pamięci dotyczącej masowych morderstw w Srebrenicy opisany został bardziej uniwersalny mechanizm polityczny, charakterystyczny także dla powojennych polityk pamięci prowadzonych przez nacjonalistyczne elity bośniackich Serbów i bośniackich Chorwatów.

This article aims to contextualize the hadith of Al-Bukhari's transmission number 5.559 about 'speaking the good or remain silent' through the Double Movement theory from Fazlu Rahman, which will then become the basis for a ban on the phenomenon of hate speech on social media. This departs from the reality of hate speech that is increasingly rampant, even though the act has been banned in the Circular Chief of Police number SE / 06 / X / 2005. After analyzing and analyzing the history of Al-Bukhari number 5559, this article concludes that the hadith is a response to the bad behavior experienced by Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Salam from his neighbor, one of which is mentioned in the hadith is not saying good, as an antonym of the word saying good. Behavior of not saying good here is also in line with the phenomenon of hate speech, especially entering the media era. The moral ideal of this tradition is as a command to say good, if it is unable or unwilling, it is better to be quiet, rather than doing hate speech. As for the threat of hate speech,, as the moral ideal of the hadith here, is not included as those who believe because they are not good or silent, but instead do hate speech.

This study aims to describe the public perception of the existence of asphalt minning in relation to the environmental inpact caused in the Winning Vilage of Pasar wajo Distric in Buton District. This research is descriptive qualitative whit case study approach. Data collection is done by using method: questionare, interview, observation and documentation. Data obtained from 55 respondents, then presented in tabular from percentage, then described qualitatively. The result showed that the public response about the presence of asphalt mining in Winning Vilage, divided into positive and negative impacts. Positive impacts of asphalt mining such as: increased local income, creation of employment opportunities for local communities, exposure of territories from isolason. While the negative impact is asphalt mining activities caused environmental damage include: 1) land danmage, land disruption, 2) Damage to flora and fauna, communities responding to asphalt mining activities caused damage to vegetation and people responded to asphalt mining activities causing damage/wild animal/wildlife, 3) The contamination river water, times and swamps where people respond to the mining activitie of asphalt cause pollution of riverwater/times and swamps, 4) Air pollution mainly dust produced from the development process and the means of transportation passing by, 5) Noise, where people respount to asphalt mining activities generate noise, 6) The existence of healt problems where people respoud to asphalt mining activities cause public health problems,

This chapter examines how the mainstream local and regional press covered the antisuffrage perspective in the critical year of 1917 as it became increasingly evident that the suffrage movement had momentum to secure a federal amendment. The goal here is to increase understanding of press portrayals of a countermovement and thus to add to literature on social movement theory. Its findings reveal that most coverage situated the suffrage debate in the context of World War I. Antisuffragists relied on negative discourse that criticized the patriotism of the suffragists and argued that women did not want the added burden of voting. In contrast, suffragists avoided emotional reactions and instead based their arguments on facts and on the benefits of women being in the public sphere. This study contributes to prior research on countermovements and the implications of taking a negative and narrow approach when attempting to undermine a social movement

Despite predictions of decline, religion has featured prominently in the public sphere and the media since the events of 11 September 2001. Previous research on media and religion in Australia post-September 11 has focused largely on its negative impacts, particularly on Muslim communities. This article, in contrast, examines media representations of religion, spirituality and non-religion on an ‘ordinary day’, of 17 September, over a three-year period in the city of Melbourne. Its findings reveal that religion, in its myriad forms, permeates many aspects of Australian public life, but in ways which do not always reflect the actual religious composition and lived experiences of worldview diversity in Australia.
