RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The authors’ aim is to create an original typology of the social roles of grandparents in modern society. The reflection is set in the context of demographic changes related to ageing processes and theories of life cycles. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The main thesis is that despite the significant sociocultural changes occurring in the context of the intensifying aging processes of societies, it is possible to indicate the multiplicity of roles played by grandparents. The article is based on two research projects conducted among women aged 50‑64 and men aged 55‑69 living in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. The data used has a qualitative character, and the empirical basis is 110 written biographical stories. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The background of the study is data from public statistics that illustrate the deepening ageing processes of the region’s population. Unfavourable demographic processes are intertwined with sociocultural changes related to the change of gender roles, professional activity, and free time. This element is related to the concept of life phases. An extensive theoretical introduction precedes the analysis of the results of research on the typology of the social roles of women and men as grandparents. RESEARCH RESULTS: An original typology of the roles of grandparents in the modern world was proposed. The mechanisms related to the roles focus mainly on meeting the needs of the family in the first place. We can draw an axis of traditional vs. modern, which leaves room for some other indirect possibilities (e.g. space for female self‑realization). However, it depends on the sociocultural factors and scripts implemented at earlier stages of family life. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: There is no uniform and coherent grandfathering pattern, and there is a clear difference between the sexes on the axis of involvement in caring functions.

Pre-school age is an intensive period in the life of a person which offers great potential for development. The dimensions of the impact of the social environment (children, parents and other adults) on the child’s personality are multifaceted. This accounts for the emphasis on social norms, goals and ideals. Education is the one factor that can best provide the socialization of adolescents.The changes in modern society have led to redefining the parenting patterns for bringing up children. The role of the family as an environment for transferring social experience has never lost its significance. Children need continuous care in order to handle societal failures; they need support for mastering the culture of behavior, as well as timely and appropriate help for ensuring conflict-free communication and for enabling them to take responsibility for their own choices and actions.Psychological studies show that various factors influence both the upbringing of children as well as the parents’ attitudes towardsthem. The relevant factors include: the childhood experiences of the parents; the unrealized needs of the parents; interpersonal relations in the family that are characterized by emotional depth and style that are considered to have established "a standard".The parameters of the actuality of the research problem are based on the interrelationship of the social and educational aspects that are related to the position of the child and his personal assertion in society:- Atpre-schoolage, thechildgraduallyfitsintothesocialsystem, whichistheresult of learningexperiences, actionsandrelationships, awarenessandrediscovery of theselfandtheworld of otherpeople.- Thechildbecomesaware of thenorms of behaviorandthemeaning of actions–their ownandother people’s - andlearns to takeresponsibilityfortheiractions.- Oneyearbeforeschool starts, the childdevelopstheability to accepttheposition of othersand to takeintoaccounttheirownandothers’perspective.- For a successfulpersonalrealization, itisimportantforchildren to havetheskills to worktogetherandcommunicatein a group. Thisisthecompetencethatdirectstheirbehaviortowardsco-ordination, co-operationandsynergy.The abovementioned specific features of the child's personality are the result of the intentional educational interactions between the kindergarten and the family and are related to the acquisition of knowledge, rules and norms, and of value-oriented patterns that define behavior. The foundations for thisare laid during the pre-school age and are considered the most stable and lasting, often referred to as the "basic personality structure". Along with them, the "behavioral potential" of the child, which is demonstrated at different ages, is shaped and developedthrough upbringing. Consequently, behavior is seen as a specific manifestation of the personality associated with its selective attitude towards the influence of various factors in the social environment. The direction of the educational activitiesinspires the motivation for personal behavior aiming at growth and self-actualization. Hence, the presence of a certain skill level which imposes a new approach to learning - replacing the mechanical reproduction with the acquisition of competences for and attitudes towards interaction in a changing environment. What is appropriate for achieving these goals is the applicationof functional models for cooperation, individualization and differentiation of the educational process. These ensure that the child is provided with conditions for activity and for mastering basic, sustainable rules for conscious participation and development that are important for the success of each of his activities. This is a type of social education that is achieved through exploring the social fabric andacquiring the skills for learning, choosing and communicating.

The study of social anxieties requires careful research due to the development of modern society. Modern Kazakh society is unique in its own way,and besides, it is not without causes of social anxiety. Moreover, a comprehensive study of social anxieties provides a person with broad opportunities for knowledge and creativity. On the other hand, the coronavirus pandemic has made its own adjustments to the modern world, which is unstable in its development, it remains uncertain and unpredictable, which does not allow a person to feel completely protected, and this all creates anxiety.

The article describes the modern theoretical foundations of social policy ofUkrainian Orthodox Churches and the practical activities of religiouscommunities in the conditions of globalization processes. The interrelation ofthe social doctrine of the Church with public administration, political science,philosophy and sociology is shown. The actual problems in implementing thesocial service of Churches and possible ways of modernizing the social policyof the Church are comprehensively understood. The author believes that thesocial sphere not only of society, but also of Church life is a complex anddynamic paradigm of spiritual and social development of the modern world. Itis characterized by a variety of versatile parameters that outline the paradigmsof human life. Since the personal life, professional activity and mission of aChristian occur in the life of the state, then any changes in it lead to changes inthe situation of the individual and vice versa. The social policy of the Church isone of the main directions of the mission of the Church in the modern worldand should correspond to the theological thought of Christianity. Ignoring byreligious communities the issue of social policy can lead to the loss of theconstructive and positive influence of religion on society

The need for research in the field of the designated problems is determined by the changing circumstances of the life of modern society on a global scale. In recent years, interfaith interactions in the world have not inspired optimism on improving intercultural contacts (one can mention the rejection of the policy of multiculturalism in Western Europe, terrorist attacks in France and other places, conflicts in the Middle East, etc.). The modern world demonstrates a blatant misunderstanding of others by social communities and the increasing conflict nature of the social environment. Hence the importance of academic developments of a humanistic nature. The author’s goal is to show the general and specific understanding of the phenomenon of happiness in Muslim culture. The Muslim tradition sees the happiness of a Muslim in a deep faith in Allah and adherence to a behavioral model, the example of which is the Prophet Muhammad. It is in the observance of Sharia law that lies the foundation of stability in the life of the global ummah (Muslim community) itself, as well as its relations with the outside world. The work methods for this paper were, first of all, a content analysis of Muslim texts, a review of the historiography of the problem of understanding of happiness by Muslims, as well as direct contact with the Nizhny Novgorod Muslim Tatars during field studies expressed in in-depth interviews (1995–2000). The novelty of the work lies in the choice of the Muslim discourse of understanding happiness as the object of the author’s consideration. As a result of the study, the author comes to confirm the idea that knowledge about the worldview attitudes of other cultures can help relieve tension in human communications at different levels. The data stated above are a confirmation of the Qur’anic tradition of finding means for peaceful communication between different ethnicities, as well as the works of Muslim scholars aimed at establishing good neighbor relationships in strengthening intercultural communication.

Heidegger, Nietzsche, and Foucault associated the human existence with the power of questioning and action of freedom. Despite the action of freedom of human being as a being with questioning power, the society has become a surveillance community. According to Foucault, these two states are in a delicate balance. Man in a liberation act gets into a state of protesting and becomes rebellious when his/her private life and rights are threatened. The social life turns into a state of resistance and chaos with the rebellions of the poor and the other marginal groups. According to Foucault, the government has to face the new information, organization, and challenge of opinion groups. These views point to the existence of serious contradictions and conflicts in the society while looking at the society with philosophical evaluations. For example, the series of global conferences, TED, which started off with the slogan ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, published Ads Worth Spreading list in its 3rd year. These consisted of the most effective 10 advertising films of the previous year. Advertisements provide a large spectrum from social responsibility projects to inspiring projects and from entertaining works to advertisements proposing complex ideas. In these advertisements, properties such as innovation and encouragement, etc. are rewarded.These advertisements are not the advertisements of the capitalist system which instigate over-consumption, but they are the advertisements which see the social issues, conflicts and contradictions, and emphasize and question those issues. The most powerful, well-known, and successful advertising agencies are in an elite position in these evaluations. For example, we can mention ‘Young and Rubicam’ and ‘Saatchi and Saatchi’. Another view which the advertisements studied in this paper are based on was the post-modern society evaluations of Baudrillard. He proposed the term simulation to show that the post-modern world took the place of the real and concrete as a virtual-reality. The philosopher emphasized at this point that the post-modern society became a world of images and signs. According to Baudrillard, revolution and freedom are structures that entrap the individuals in an array of simulation. Noteworthy advertisements of the advertising companies selected by The Top Consolidated Agency Net Works in 2013 by Estimated World Wide Revenues will be analyzed according to the views of the contemporary philosophy thinkers.Evaluations were made in accordance with the conflicts and contradictions in the society by approaching through the windows of concepts, ideas and designs created in the 21st century world by the creative and skilled designers of these companies.Study: was completed with the review of the literature, watching and analyzing the advertisements, and discussing and examining them through the philosophical accumulation created by the era. In this respect, the views of the expert views as well as the views of the average audience of the consumer society were included in the study.Conclusion: The study tried to answer the question “In line with the social conflict, contradiction, and changes, can advertisements be extraordinary despite being in the capitalist production system?”  Keywords: Communication, advertising, ads worth spreading, philosophy, critics, show society.

Relevance. The modern world is special. Our country is not an exception. The domestic education has also become different. Besides, it is obvious that reliance only on the conventional theoretical and methodological principles does not always lead to the desired result. In this regard, the issue of changing the educational paradigm is becoming more acute. The goal-oriented functional basis of such paradigm can be humanization, since it is a solid foundation for the harmonious development of a person, the growth of his/her essential forces and abilities at the new historical stage of social evolution. The research problem is the following: Earthlings are faced with the daunting problem of building optimal relationships between a human and a human, a human and the society. This challenge impels pedagogical science and educational practice to search for foundations that will contribute to resolving the contradictions between separateness and wholeness, isolation and unity, chaos and harmony. The aim of the study is to reveal the essence of humanization as the pivotal basis of the educational paradigm corresponding to the peculiarities of the social evolution in the 21st century. The research methodology consists in the conceptual provisions of humanistic pedagogy, anthropological and learner-centered. The specific methodological tools involved the principles of historicism, integrity, consistency, movement from the general to the particular and unique. The study also considered content-structural, activity-based, sociocultural and system-functional principles. The research methods comprised the study of monographic and scientific-methodical works, educational practice, along with their analysis, identification of special phenomena at the new stage of historical development, substantiation of the findings and interpretation of the suggested ideas. Results and discussion. The article gives a brief review of creating educational paradigms at different stages of social evolution, reveals their essence and identifies groups of principles covering various aspects of school’s functioning. It is emphasized that the implementation of these principles will ensure the humanization of training and nurturing. The paper also defines the key characteristics of the pedagogical process, designed in accordance with the conceptual provisions of the humanistic paradigm, outlines the main sets of interrelated tasks facing the education of the 21st century and substantiates the idea that humanism is the pivotal basis for the educational paradigm of the present century. The most discussed aspects of the problem are practice-oriented issues related to developing the content of humanistic education which would contribute to the formation of the basic humanistic worldview of students. Conclusion. The presented work reveals, generalizes and interprets the ideas of the humanistic tradition that underlie the educational paradigm of the 21st century. Among the leading development trends of the modern education, humanization is proved to be its cornerstone, corresponding to the peculiarities of social evolution at the current historical stage.

The article explores different points of view regarding the dialectics of the socio-political and historical development of global constitutionalism and its relationship with changes in the socio-political and state-legal system on a planetary scale (as a historically integral part in the development of society at any stage of the historical era, opposite to autarkic tendencies; as a phenomenon inherent in modern society). In this regard, the paper concludes that the socio-political and historical transformations of global constitutionalism as a social concept in the near future will largely determine the main directions of the socio-political and state-legal development of nation-states. The purpose of the research: from the standpoint of the socio-philosophical methods of cognition of social reality and the ideas reflecting it, to analyze the socio-political and historical transformations of global constitutionalism in the modern world. Object of research: the phenomenon of globalization of socio-political, state-legal and financial-economic development of national societies and states as a phenomenon of social reality, highlighted in the social concept of global constitutionalism.

<p>Hijjas Kasturi is probably the most well known Malay Muslim architect in Malaysia and in Asia. He  has been in practice for 50 years and is known for many of his iconic building designs throughout Malaysia and the Muslim world. This paper attempts to provide important insights into Hijjas’s ideas of Islam as a religion and its practice in the modern world. With this insight, we can better place his design approach in Islamic architecture as a product of both his modernist ideology bred from his education background and his rootedness into the Malay Muslim social and political contexts. Hijjas has been consistent in his design approach in that he had never given in to the client’s request for a more traditional approach which usually means the revivalistic or eclectic design direction. In an era when the Muslim world is struggling between the extremism of traditional Islam and modern life inn the social and political arena, it is important to look at design as part and parcel of not only an art of building but also a holistic product of the reinterpretation of the religion in a new and progressive light. This research provides Hijjas own thoughts through an interview of which excerpts from that session are used in this paper.</p>

Introduction. The social order of modern society sets the task of training a specialist who would be able not only to organize effective communication with all subjects of the educational process, but would also be able to overcome certain crises in the professional activity, confidently go towards the goal, quickly recover from possible pedagogical failures, realistically assess the current situation and the prospects for getting out of it with minimal losses. This actualizes the need for the formation of pedagogical resilience in future teachers, which is possible by introducing a specially developed module into the educational process. The research purpose is to analyze the optimal ways of forming pedagogical resilience through the development and introduction of special training, business games, a project method, a case method in the educational process. Materials and methods. The pedagogical experiment was attended by 58 bachelor students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, studying in the field of study “Pedagogical Education” at the South Ural State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University (Russian Federation). Research methods: a test for diagnosing the level of pedagogical resilience formation; χ2-Pearson statistical test. Research results. A module “Resilient teacher” has been developed and introduced into the educational process, implemented within the framework of the academic discipline “Methods of teaching a second foreign language”. The results of diagnostics at the final stage of the formative experiment showed an increase in the level of pedagogical resilience formation, which indicates the need to include the module in the educational process of training future teachers (χ2 = 5.9; p <0.1). Conclusion. It is concluded that pedagogical resilience is not only an important trait of a teacher’s personality, but it also serves as a fundamental component of successful pedagogical activity in the future.

Saints: A Very Short Introduction looks at the origins, ideas, and definitions of sainthood, sanctity, and saints in the early Church, tracing their development in history and explaining the social roles saints played in the ancient, medieval, and modern worlds. It considers the treatment of saints as objects of literary and artistic expression and interpretation, and as examples of idealised male and female heroism, comparing Christian saints and holy figures to venerated figures in other religious cultures, including Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. It concludes by considering the experiences of devotees to saints, and looking at how saints continue to be a powerful presence in our modern world.
