Injuries are lost or damaged part of the body's tissues. Wounds are also defined as physical damage due to the opening or destruction of the skin which can cause abnormal skin function and anatomy. These plants widely used traditionally from fresh noni leaves used as a medicine for broken bones, cuts, burns and pain by boiling and drinking the juice. These studys to make use of more effective and efficient Noni leaf extract made in cream preparations as a wound medicine, so that people are easy to use. This study used an experimental research method, namely the cream formulation of noni concentrated ethanol extract of 5%, 10% and 15%. Cream preparation evaluation test included: Organoleptic, pH test, cream type test, homogeneity test, sticky power test, dispersion test and protection power test. The test method was carried out on mice by means of cream preparations applied to the back of mice which were given an incision wound. Its effectiveness is seen from the measurement of wound length for seven days to calculate the percentage of wound healing power. The results of the One Way ANOVA test showed that there were significant differences between concentrations of 5%, 10% and 15% with significant values <0.05. The percentage of healing power of noni leaf extract cream concentration of 5% = 7,69%, concentration of 10% = 17,26%, and concentration of 15% = 29,35%. The results showed that the ethanol extract of noni leaves can be made in cream dosage form and has the effectiveness to accelerate the healing of incision wounds in mice.

Taro (Colocasia esculenta) plant is commonly available and popularly used as food and alternative medicine. To prove its medicinal value, the study explored its secondary metabolites from aqueous-ethanolic leaf extract. Specifically, this investigation aimed to classify its acute dermal toxicity and antibacterial activity, determine its Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC), and identify the equipotency with the standard drug and mutagenic activity. Phytochemical screening of tannins, alkaloids, saponins, cardenolides and bufadienolides, flavonoids, polyphenol compounds and anthraquinones was performed. Five healthy female rabbits were used for toxicity test based on OECD guidelines 404. Kirby-Bauer method was employed for antibacterial activity (susceptibility and potency tests) using Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 43300, Clinical Isolate Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli. A two-fold agar dilution was applied for Minimum Inhibitory Concentration and Ames test was employed for direct mutagenicity assay using Salmonella typhimurium TA98. Results showed that leaf extract has no anthraquinone and it is categorized as non toxic up to allowable dose of 5000 mg/kg. The findings showed a significant difference on the mean zones of inhibition between Vancomycin and plant extract against S. aureus and between tetracycline and the extract towards E.coli. The MRSA and P. aeruginosa showed no significant differences. The MIC of extract is effective to MRSA and S. aureus at 105.26 and 50 mg/mL respectively. However, E. coli and P. aeruginosa are resistant up to the 105.26 mg/mL. Potency test revealed a non-comparability in strength between the extract and Azithromycin using Gram-negative bacteria. However, the extract showed comparable strength with the standard drug using MRSA and S. aureus. Ames test revealed a mutagenic activity using Salmonella typhimurium TA98.

Infectious diseases that often occur in humans are skin infections. One of the bacteria that cause infection in humans is Staphylococcus aureus. One of the plants used as an ingredient in traditional medicine and used as an anti-bacterial is a kecombrang plant. This research aims to test the antibacterial activity of leaf extract of kecombrang against Staphylococcus aureus. Kecombrang leaf obtained from Pandeglang Banten. Kecombrang leaves extracted with a maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent. Extracts of leaves are made in a various concentrations (100%, 75%, 50%, and 25%). The antibacterial activity test was performed by using the diffusion method to find out the large zone of diameter are formed to inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The results of the antibacterial activity of the leaves extract of kecombrang to Staphylococcus aureus at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% concentrations respectively were 12.67 mm, 14.33 mm, 15.33 mm, and 17.00 mm. The data result showed, that leaf extract of kecombrang with 100% concentration had the largest inhibiting zone diameter of 17.00 mm, among other concentrations. This suggests that kecombrang leaf extract have antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract: Jatropha Leaves, Staphylococcus Epidermidis, Staphylococcus Aureus. Jatropha curcas L leaves contain tannins, saponins and flavonoids. According to some studies, tannins, saponins and flavonoids have antibacterial power. Based on these indications, it is important to do research on antibacterial potency of jatropha leaf extract (Jatropha curcas L) against Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The aim of this research is to know Antibacterial Activity of Jatropha curcas L Extract on Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus". This research. An experimental study by testing the antibacterial activity of leaf extract and jatropha result of maceration, infundation and reflux as measured by Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (KHM) on growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. From the results of the research, it was found that the extract of the reflux was brownish green and the characteristic of jatropha leaves. The amount of extract produced was 17.03 g, so the yield was 17.03%. Jatropha leaf extract of maceration has no inhibitory power to S. epidermidis in 4 series concentrations starting from 3.125 ppm to 25.000 ppm. Inhibitory zones begin to appear at concentrations of 50,000 ppm and increase at concentrations of 100,000 ppm. The drag zone diameter in the Jatropha curcas extract of the reflux showed the inhibitory power in all series of concentrations. The smallest inhibitory zone was shown at a concentration of 3,125 ppm (9.33 mm) and increased with increasing concentrations. The diameter of the inhibit zone was greatest at 100,000 ppm concentrations of 22.67 mm. Description of inhibitory zone diameter of methanol leaf extract of jatropha result of maceration and reflux to S. epidermidis. The conclusion of this research is extract of reflux result giving bigger resistance than maceration extract to S. epidermidis and S. aureus. Methanol extract of jatropha from the maceration and reflux have strong antibacterial activity against S. epidermidis and S. aureus but still under Klindamycin.

Abstract The present study mainly deals with the green synthesis, characterization and evaluation of antibacterial properties of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized by using the leaf extract of Moringa oleifera and fruit extract of Tamarindus indica. In this study for synthesis of silver nanoparticles different ratios of 1mM silver nitrate and Moringa oleifera leaf extract i.e, 95:5, 90:10 and 85: 15 was taken in conical flask and kept for one 1 hr at 25 0 c on magnetic stirrer, out of which 90:10 ratio was selected for further study based on highest peak, good size and stability. Tamarindus indica fruit extract was added to silver nitrate solution till the colour of the solution changes from light brown to chocolate brownish colour. The synthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized by UV-Visible spectroscopy, Zeta potential, size distribution by intensity. The absorption spectrum of the silver nano solution prepared by using Moringa oleifera and Tamarindus indica fruit extract showed a surface plasmon absorption band with maximum of 420 nm and 430 nm respectively indicating the presence of silver nanoparticles. The zeta value of silver nanoparticles synthesized from Moringa oleifera and Tamarindus indica fruit extract was -12.5 mV and -15.5 mV, size of 110.2 nm and 130.2 nm respectively. The antibacterial efficacy of nanosilver was checked by agar well diffusion method, and the silver nanoparticles showed effective antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus.
